Me and Austin are 28 00:01:27,959 --> 00:01:30,120 Speaker 5: holding down the ford. I was in there and and 29 00:01:30,200 --> 00:01:31,600 Speaker 5: my god. 30 00:01:31,360 --> 00:01:33,560 Speaker 1: Yeah, what are we doing? I don't know, man, I. 31 00:01:33,520 --> 00:01:36,760 Speaker 5: Mean you're Wally gagging all over London having a great 32 00:01:36,760 --> 00:01:38,120 Speaker 5: old time and we're actually. 33 00:01:37,800 --> 00:01:39,160 Speaker 1: Working jolly old England. 34 00:01:40,000 --> 00:01:42,120 Speaker 4: Hey, it's what it was. The flight schedules, you know, 35 00:01:42,160 --> 00:01:43,240 Speaker 4: couldn't get back, Pete. 36 00:01:43,600 --> 00:01:46,199 Speaker 2: That's what it is, and get on that team plane 37 00:01:46,280 --> 00:01:47,520 Speaker 2: JP or JP Shadwick. 38 00:01:47,520 --> 00:01:50,480 Speaker 1: Don't they know that I have I just work here, Pete. 39 00:01:50,520 --> 00:01:53,240 Speaker 1: Oh so you didn't fight out the team? No? Oh wow, okay, no, 40 00:01:53,520 --> 00:01:56,440 Speaker 1: I got flooring with the team. You don't have the show. Yeah, ok, 41 00:01:56,560 --> 00:01:59,080 Speaker 1: that's true. That's true. Alas here we. 42 00:01:59,040 --> 00:02:01,000 Speaker 2: Are, you're JP. 43 00:02:02,880 --> 00:02:05,080 Speaker 1: No, what are we doing? 44 00:02:05,320 --> 00:02:08,359 Speaker 6: First class wasn't available on the team planes. That what happened. 45 00:02:08,520 --> 00:02:11,720 Speaker 4: My contract says has certain levels and status that we 46 00:02:11,800 --> 00:02:12,720 Speaker 4: have to adhere to. 47 00:02:12,919 --> 00:02:15,240 Speaker 5: You need to put that contract. You need to be 48 00:02:15,240 --> 00:02:16,840 Speaker 5: on the team playing in London. That's what you need 49 00:02:16,880 --> 00:02:17,040 Speaker 5: to do. 50 00:02:18,600 --> 00:02:21,480 Speaker 4: It's all right, Hey we're back and that we're refreshed 51 00:02:21,840 --> 00:02:25,320 Speaker 4: after the bye week. You know, we've self scouted some 52 00:02:25,400 --> 00:02:30,400 Speaker 4: things Austin. That's just on this show. So then of 53 00:02:30,400 --> 00:02:32,440 Speaker 4: course the team has done the same thing, Pete, And 54 00:02:33,320 --> 00:02:33,760 Speaker 4: it's what. 55 00:02:33,639 --> 00:02:35,560 Speaker 1: The bye week's about? What? All right? 56 00:02:35,560 --> 00:02:40,919 Speaker 4: What is the number one concern or issue going into 57 00:02:40,960 --> 00:02:43,240 Speaker 4: the buy that needs to be cleaned up coming out 58 00:02:43,240 --> 00:02:43,880 Speaker 4: of the buyos? 59 00:02:43,919 --> 00:02:45,680 Speaker 6: You know, I think me and Pete kind of addressed 60 00:02:45,680 --> 00:02:48,000 Speaker 6: this on the last Happy Hour show, But I think 61 00:02:48,000 --> 00:02:50,320 Speaker 6: it's got to be this offense in Trevor Lawrence, right. 62 00:02:50,360 --> 00:02:51,840 Speaker 6: I mean you can break down a lot of things, 63 00:02:51,880 --> 00:02:55,400 Speaker 6: the offensive line, the running game and everything, but to me, 64 00:02:55,800 --> 00:02:57,920 Speaker 6: it starts with the quarterback, and it starts with the 65 00:02:57,960 --> 00:03:00,760 Speaker 6: confidence of the quarterback throwing the football. So I think 66 00:03:01,280 --> 00:03:03,760 Speaker 6: in terms of you know it, get to elevate Travis 67 00:03:03,840 --> 00:03:07,040 Speaker 6: Hunter to a more prominent role, whatever the case may be, 68 00:03:07,160 --> 00:03:08,720 Speaker 6: to give Trevor some more confidence. 69 00:03:08,760 --> 00:03:11,320 Speaker 1: But I think that is the major hole right now. 70 00:03:12,360 --> 00:03:15,079 Speaker 5: Turn it loose, Turn it loose. You gotta turn it loose. 71 00:03:15,120 --> 00:03:17,359 Speaker 5: You can't be afraid to throw interceptions. I mean, you 72 00:03:17,360 --> 00:03:19,520 Speaker 5: look at his interception numbers. What are they they're nothing. 73 00:03:19,600 --> 00:03:24,480 Speaker 5: Rights isn't thrown. Yeah, And so when you look at 74 00:03:24,600 --> 00:03:28,600 Speaker 5: the way he's playing, it's not to win games, is 75 00:03:28,639 --> 00:03:29,200 Speaker 5: to play. 76 00:03:28,960 --> 00:03:30,560 Speaker 2: It safe, and I don't like that. 77 00:03:31,560 --> 00:03:34,200 Speaker 5: And we highlighted a bunch of plays from the game 78 00:03:34,200 --> 00:03:37,960 Speaker 5: from the old twenty two last week, and the reality 79 00:03:38,080 --> 00:03:40,520 Speaker 5: is there were shots down the field he didn't take, 80 00:03:40,760 --> 00:03:42,720 Speaker 5: and there's been shots down the field he hasn't taken 81 00:03:42,920 --> 00:03:43,600 Speaker 5: all season. 82 00:03:43,800 --> 00:03:46,440 Speaker 4: We've said that from week one there were shots that 83 00:03:46,520 --> 00:03:48,040 Speaker 4: he didn't take well. 84 00:03:48,120 --> 00:03:50,760 Speaker 2: And in this game there they ran one play down 85 00:03:50,800 --> 00:03:51,080 Speaker 2: the field. 86 00:03:51,120 --> 00:03:54,520 Speaker 5: They ran post corner routes on both sides, and he 87 00:03:54,760 --> 00:03:55,400 Speaker 5: checked it down. 88 00:03:55,520 --> 00:03:58,000 Speaker 2: The ball was tipped at the line of scrimmage. The 89 00:03:58,040 --> 00:03:59,040 Speaker 2: first play of the game. 90 00:04:00,720 --> 00:04:03,360 Speaker 5: He's got Travis Hunter standing there, and that was you know, 91 00:04:03,680 --> 00:04:05,600 Speaker 5: I think it was a run pass check if I'm 92 00:04:05,600 --> 00:04:08,400 Speaker 5: not mistaken, and he's that's who he's got to throw 93 00:04:08,400 --> 00:04:09,880 Speaker 5: it to in that check and he's wide open. 94 00:04:09,920 --> 00:04:12,160 Speaker 2: He doesn't even look at him. I don't know what 95 00:04:12,200 --> 00:04:13,640 Speaker 2: he was looking at. He looked like he was looking 96 00:04:13,680 --> 00:04:16,400 Speaker 2: for Thomas to come open. And that's not the read. 97 00:04:16,480 --> 00:04:17,920 Speaker 2: The read is Travis Hunter. 98 00:04:17,960 --> 00:04:20,320 Speaker 1: Five yards wide open, five yards down the field. Just 99 00:04:20,440 --> 00:04:20,719 Speaker 1: throw it. 100 00:04:22,560 --> 00:04:23,560 Speaker 2: On the first play of the game. 101 00:04:23,839 --> 00:04:25,440 Speaker 6: But this is also kind of the story I feel 102 00:04:25,440 --> 00:04:27,760 Speaker 6: like of this offense right now, where if you watch this, 103 00:04:27,839 --> 00:04:30,400 Speaker 6: you know, obviously a guy comes scott free and makes 104 00:04:30,400 --> 00:04:33,120 Speaker 6: it difficult on Trevor. But if you have this snap decisiveness, 105 00:04:33,160 --> 00:04:35,080 Speaker 6: you make that throw right now, and then we're not 106 00:04:35,120 --> 00:04:37,480 Speaker 6: talking about the offensive line, you know, giving up a 107 00:04:37,520 --> 00:04:39,640 Speaker 6: sack right So to me, it goes hand in hand 108 00:04:39,680 --> 00:04:41,960 Speaker 6: where you have to feel confident in the pocket, you 109 00:04:41,960 --> 00:04:44,120 Speaker 6: have to be decisive and you have to make your move. 110 00:04:45,320 --> 00:04:47,280 Speaker 5: That was Mcarrey that got beat on that play right 111 00:04:47,279 --> 00:04:49,560 Speaker 5: from the get go, if I'm not mistaken, And and 112 00:04:49,600 --> 00:04:52,120 Speaker 5: he struggled the last couple of weeks, and if you 113 00:04:52,279 --> 00:04:55,039 Speaker 5: hear that, he's banged up a little bit. But again, 114 00:04:55,080 --> 00:04:57,919 Speaker 5: you're on the field, you're accountable, and he's just not 115 00:04:58,000 --> 00:04:58,800 Speaker 5: playing very well. 116 00:04:58,839 --> 00:05:00,680 Speaker 2: I don't think they're gonna make a chain, but he's 117 00:05:00,720 --> 00:05:01,600 Speaker 2: not playing very well. 118 00:05:02,240 --> 00:05:05,480 Speaker 4: So what it is right now. Of course, we'll dig 119 00:05:05,520 --> 00:05:08,440 Speaker 4: into some more of the issues coming up. But as 120 00:05:08,480 --> 00:05:10,560 Speaker 4: always around this time, you were closing in on the 121 00:05:10,600 --> 00:05:14,840 Speaker 4: trade deadline, so the Jaguars were involved in some of 122 00:05:14,880 --> 00:05:16,760 Speaker 4: the rumors over this. 123 00:05:16,839 --> 00:05:17,720 Speaker 1: By weekend and. 124 00:05:17,680 --> 00:05:20,000 Speaker 2: The rumors, dirty rumors. 125 00:05:19,480 --> 00:05:22,320 Speaker 1: Brian sources, Yeah, not really sources. 126 00:05:22,320 --> 00:05:25,320 Speaker 4: Brian Thomas Junior was one of those rumors that he 127 00:05:25,360 --> 00:05:27,600 Speaker 4: could be on the move. Of course, Liam Cohen today 128 00:05:27,640 --> 00:05:30,680 Speaker 4: addressed it and said, no, we are not moving Brian 129 00:05:30,760 --> 00:05:33,520 Speaker 4: Thomas Junior, even though he is you know, he's fighting 130 00:05:33,520 --> 00:05:37,120 Speaker 4: through and working through some stuff here. So no no 131 00:05:38,000 --> 00:05:40,600 Speaker 4: action at least in that department. Now other things. Who 132 00:05:40,640 --> 00:05:41,680 Speaker 4: knows what else do they need? 133 00:05:41,800 --> 00:05:42,360 Speaker 1: Is the question? 134 00:05:42,960 --> 00:05:46,000 Speaker 5: Well, I think that report gets done this way. Somebody 135 00:05:46,160 --> 00:05:51,560 Speaker 5: in the league is interested in Brian Thomas and says, hey, 136 00:05:52,520 --> 00:05:56,039 Speaker 5: we called on Brian Thomas, and then they put it 137 00:05:56,040 --> 00:05:59,000 Speaker 5: out there that the Jaguars were interested in listening on 138 00:05:59,080 --> 00:05:59,760 Speaker 5: Brian Thomas. 139 00:05:59,800 --> 00:06:02,400 Speaker 2: That's I think happened on that. And the reality is 140 00:06:02,400 --> 00:06:04,080 Speaker 2: they're not gonna move Brian tom nor should they. 141 00:06:04,080 --> 00:06:06,960 Speaker 5: By the way, he's his second year player. He's not 142 00:06:07,040 --> 00:06:08,839 Speaker 5: even halfway through his second season. 143 00:06:09,560 --> 00:06:11,000 Speaker 2: We saw potentil. 144 00:06:10,560 --> 00:06:14,279 Speaker 5: Star you know ability last year, and you're gonna move 145 00:06:14,400 --> 00:06:15,760 Speaker 5: him halfway through his second season. 146 00:06:15,800 --> 00:06:17,760 Speaker 2: That would be the dumbest thing you could do. Yeah, 147 00:06:17,839 --> 00:06:19,120 Speaker 2: don't you need to get out of his bunk? 148 00:06:19,279 --> 00:06:19,440 Speaker 1: Right? 149 00:06:21,160 --> 00:06:23,520 Speaker 2: Yeah, But you don't move you don't give up on him. 150 00:06:23,400 --> 00:06:26,760 Speaker 6: Yet do you think and I agree, like this wasn't 151 00:06:26,800 --> 00:06:29,000 Speaker 6: James Gladstone a tony of a selling thing. Hey, you know, 152 00:06:29,120 --> 00:06:30,960 Speaker 6: like I got a scoop for you guys. You know, 153 00:06:31,000 --> 00:06:32,400 Speaker 6: take this and roll with it like that. That didn't 154 00:06:32,400 --> 00:06:36,080 Speaker 6: happen that There's no way, but Pete, could you see 155 00:06:36,080 --> 00:06:38,640 Speaker 6: in a world was maybe the agent of Brian Thomas 156 00:06:38,720 --> 00:06:41,640 Speaker 6: Junior's agent trying to you know, like maybe a team 157 00:06:41,720 --> 00:06:44,080 Speaker 6: talked to him and then he he talks to somebody 158 00:06:44,120 --> 00:06:46,839 Speaker 6: because like so sometimes the job of an agent is 159 00:06:46,880 --> 00:06:49,679 Speaker 6: to make sure that obviously your your player is feeling 160 00:06:49,880 --> 00:06:52,880 Speaker 6: you know, the love and everything. And I think in 161 00:06:53,000 --> 00:06:55,040 Speaker 6: Jackson right now it has had It's been a hard 162 00:06:55,080 --> 00:06:58,719 Speaker 6: matrimony between Brian Thomas Junior and the Jaguars right now. 163 00:06:58,800 --> 00:07:00,640 Speaker 6: Whose fault it is we can go back and forth 164 00:07:00,720 --> 00:07:03,919 Speaker 6: with that, but like this season, it hasn't been the 165 00:07:03,960 --> 00:07:07,200 Speaker 6: best showcase for either side. So could this be a 166 00:07:07,240 --> 00:07:09,240 Speaker 6: case of an agent maybe trying to jump up a 167 00:07:09,240 --> 00:07:11,400 Speaker 6: little interest, not saying he's trying to move him, but 168 00:07:11,560 --> 00:07:14,080 Speaker 6: just get people talking about Brian Thomas Junior in a 169 00:07:14,080 --> 00:07:14,640 Speaker 6: different light. 170 00:07:15,480 --> 00:07:17,760 Speaker 5: I think it's more of the team the other teams 171 00:07:17,760 --> 00:07:20,760 Speaker 5: out there who are interested in him doing it. I mean, 172 00:07:20,760 --> 00:07:24,240 Speaker 5: if I'm the Pittsburgh Steelers and I need a wide receiver, 173 00:07:25,080 --> 00:07:27,320 Speaker 5: clearly i'd put it out there. 174 00:07:27,880 --> 00:07:30,560 Speaker 2: If I'm the Buffalo Bills and I need a wide. 175 00:07:30,360 --> 00:07:33,240 Speaker 5: Receiver, I'd put it out there and make it look 176 00:07:33,360 --> 00:07:35,880 Speaker 5: like he's available or there's a potential for him to 177 00:07:35,880 --> 00:07:39,320 Speaker 5: be available. And I give Liam Cohen credit for shutting 178 00:07:39,320 --> 00:07:42,400 Speaker 5: it down right away. No, they're not doing that, and 179 00:07:42,520 --> 00:07:46,920 Speaker 5: rightfully so. Now having said that, this kid needs to 180 00:07:46,960 --> 00:07:49,920 Speaker 5: start playing like he did a year ago or close 181 00:07:49,960 --> 00:07:52,880 Speaker 5: to it, and for whatever reason, and we talked about it. 182 00:07:52,840 --> 00:07:54,280 Speaker 2: A lot, it hasn't happened. 183 00:07:54,320 --> 00:07:57,080 Speaker 5: He's dropping balls, he doesn't look like he wants to 184 00:07:57,120 --> 00:07:59,880 Speaker 5: go over the middle, you know, he doesn't come off 185 00:08:00,560 --> 00:08:03,880 Speaker 5: out of the gate very quickly, and it just doesn't 186 00:08:03,920 --> 00:08:06,440 Speaker 5: seem to really trust his quarterback. 187 00:08:07,000 --> 00:08:10,480 Speaker 2: And I think all that combined has led to the 188 00:08:10,520 --> 00:08:11,360 Speaker 2: problems with him. 189 00:08:11,720 --> 00:08:13,800 Speaker 5: And then the other part of that equation Austin is 190 00:08:13,880 --> 00:08:17,520 Speaker 5: miss were we too high on the kid? Maybe he 191 00:08:17,640 --> 00:08:19,440 Speaker 5: just wasn't as good as we all thought he was. 192 00:08:19,760 --> 00:08:22,680 Speaker 5: He had drop problems at LSU. He double caught a 193 00:08:22,680 --> 00:08:27,400 Speaker 5: lot of balls last year, and so maybe we rushed 194 00:08:27,400 --> 00:08:29,440 Speaker 5: to judgment on him, and by the way, I'd be 195 00:08:29,440 --> 00:08:30,520 Speaker 5: as guilty as anybody. 196 00:08:30,960 --> 00:08:33,880 Speaker 6: No, I mean, I think we all did. But I 197 00:08:33,880 --> 00:08:37,120 Speaker 6: think where the intrigue came from last year was his 198 00:08:37,200 --> 00:08:39,040 Speaker 6: whole thing out of college was this guy can only 199 00:08:39,240 --> 00:08:42,760 Speaker 6: run one route right. He's fast, he's tall, he can 200 00:08:42,800 --> 00:08:44,480 Speaker 6: run a go route, go up and get a jump ball, 201 00:08:44,600 --> 00:08:46,840 Speaker 6: or just take the top off, and you hit him 202 00:08:46,840 --> 00:08:49,480 Speaker 6: on the go route right, and like that was what 203 00:08:49,520 --> 00:08:52,320 Speaker 6: he was known for. He comes to Jacksonville and gets 204 00:08:52,320 --> 00:08:53,920 Speaker 6: off to a little bit of a slow start. Then 205 00:08:53,920 --> 00:08:55,920 Speaker 6: Trevor gets hurt, the mac Jones comes in and all 206 00:08:55,960 --> 00:08:58,480 Speaker 6: of a sudden, Okay, this guy can run the route 207 00:08:58,520 --> 00:09:01,200 Speaker 6: tree right. So I think maybe one of his biggest 208 00:09:01,280 --> 00:09:04,000 Speaker 6: knocks of maybe why he fell and the draft was 209 00:09:04,559 --> 00:09:07,120 Speaker 6: to showcase, well, can you run every single route in 210 00:09:07,160 --> 00:09:09,800 Speaker 6: the book, And he showed last year that he could. 211 00:09:09,880 --> 00:09:12,120 Speaker 6: Now we can go back and watch the film and say, okay, well, 212 00:09:12,160 --> 00:09:14,959 Speaker 6: maybe the hands weren't perfect, maybe he did bobble some balls, 213 00:09:14,960 --> 00:09:16,719 Speaker 6: but he still caught him. So, like you know, we 214 00:09:16,800 --> 00:09:19,480 Speaker 6: kind of lost that in translation. But I think his 215 00:09:19,520 --> 00:09:22,640 Speaker 6: biggest knock last year he showcased he can handle. Now 216 00:09:22,640 --> 00:09:25,400 Speaker 6: we enter this year and once again expected to run 217 00:09:25,400 --> 00:09:28,160 Speaker 6: the entire route tree because you're a wide receiver one. 218 00:09:28,800 --> 00:09:30,400 Speaker 6: And for the most part, I think he can still 219 00:09:30,440 --> 00:09:32,280 Speaker 6: do that. It's just the fact that you can't catch 220 00:09:32,320 --> 00:09:32,680 Speaker 6: the ball. 221 00:09:32,920 --> 00:09:33,160 Speaker 1: Yeah. 222 00:09:33,240 --> 00:09:35,720 Speaker 4: I don't remember a lot of over the middle short 223 00:09:35,800 --> 00:09:38,320 Speaker 4: stuff with him last year though they didn't run a 224 00:09:38,320 --> 00:09:41,280 Speaker 4: lot of that, I don't remember. So him having to 225 00:09:41,320 --> 00:09:43,439 Speaker 4: go short over the middle in the traffic is kind 226 00:09:43,440 --> 00:09:45,160 Speaker 4: of a maybe a little bit of a new thing 227 00:09:45,200 --> 00:09:45,760 Speaker 4: for him here. 228 00:09:45,880 --> 00:09:48,240 Speaker 5: But he doesn't even catch the fifty to fifty balls. Yeah, 229 00:09:48,280 --> 00:09:50,040 Speaker 5: and he has it all summer. He did was a 230 00:09:50,080 --> 00:09:52,640 Speaker 5: concern of theirs all summer. He wasn't catching those. I 231 00:09:52,679 --> 00:09:55,760 Speaker 5: will tell you during the draft process, one of the 232 00:09:55,800 --> 00:09:58,040 Speaker 5: things a couple of scouts of personnel people told me 233 00:09:58,080 --> 00:10:01,920 Speaker 5: what told me about him where one year at LSU, 234 00:10:02,000 --> 00:10:06,040 Speaker 5: the year before at LSU, he wasn't the hardest working guy, 235 00:10:06,679 --> 00:10:10,000 Speaker 5: or he wasn't exactly, And then they saw Neighbors and 236 00:10:10,040 --> 00:10:12,920 Speaker 5: he saw the success that neighbors was happening, and neighbors 237 00:10:13,040 --> 00:10:14,400 Speaker 5: is a maniac and. 238 00:10:14,320 --> 00:10:17,559 Speaker 2: He said, ho, ho, I can be that. 239 00:10:17,520 --> 00:10:20,560 Speaker 5: If I do that, And he started doing it. And 240 00:10:20,600 --> 00:10:23,800 Speaker 5: when he started doing it, he became a first round pick. 241 00:10:24,400 --> 00:10:26,680 Speaker 2: So it's not that he doesn't. 242 00:10:26,280 --> 00:10:28,600 Speaker 5: Work, by the way, and you know, we always talk 243 00:10:28,640 --> 00:10:30,320 Speaker 5: about this, Austin, he's a willing blocker. 244 00:10:30,400 --> 00:10:33,240 Speaker 2: Most wide receivers aren't willing blockers. He'll block. 245 00:10:33,400 --> 00:10:34,600 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, there's. 246 00:10:34,600 --> 00:10:39,240 Speaker 5: Just some disconnect with the quarterback, and there's some disconnect 247 00:10:39,360 --> 00:10:40,320 Speaker 5: with his skill set. 248 00:10:40,400 --> 00:10:40,800 Speaker 2: Right now. 249 00:10:40,840 --> 00:10:44,000 Speaker 5: He's not catching the ball, he's not using his hands, 250 00:10:44,360 --> 00:10:47,360 Speaker 5: he's not winning fifty to fifty balls, he's not running 251 00:10:47,400 --> 00:10:51,000 Speaker 5: away from people, he's not playing fast. There's a lot 252 00:10:51,040 --> 00:10:54,720 Speaker 5: of things that play here. And I just for the 253 00:10:54,760 --> 00:10:57,840 Speaker 5: life of me, I would sit him down and say, look, 254 00:10:57,880 --> 00:10:59,240 Speaker 5: this is what you were a year ago. 255 00:11:00,080 --> 00:11:02,400 Speaker 2: Back to that. What told you back dude? 256 00:11:02,800 --> 00:11:04,360 Speaker 6: Well, I mean, Pete, is this an issue? And I 257 00:11:04,400 --> 00:11:06,719 Speaker 6: get the you know, he didn't play a lot last year. 258 00:11:06,760 --> 00:11:09,160 Speaker 6: But with Christian Kirk, obviously you had a solid veteran 259 00:11:09,200 --> 00:11:10,640 Speaker 6: who had been in the league for a while, who 260 00:11:10,720 --> 00:11:12,800 Speaker 6: knows how to be a wide receiver. You know, I 261 00:11:12,840 --> 00:11:15,200 Speaker 6: think going into that training camp last year at Brian 262 00:11:15,240 --> 00:11:17,599 Speaker 6: Thomas Junior as a rookie, I'm sure Christian Kirk was 263 00:11:17,640 --> 00:11:19,360 Speaker 6: a guy that maybe you leaned on a little bit. 264 00:11:19,440 --> 00:11:21,920 Speaker 6: Not the same style, but just in terms of how 265 00:11:21,920 --> 00:11:25,280 Speaker 6: to go about life in the NFL, Christian kirk Leaves, 266 00:11:25,760 --> 00:11:27,920 Speaker 6: there's a lot of hype around you, and now you 267 00:11:28,000 --> 00:11:30,719 Speaker 6: go from a guy who was drafted in the first 268 00:11:30,800 --> 00:11:32,640 Speaker 6: round where we didn't really know what we're getting with you, 269 00:11:33,000 --> 00:11:35,520 Speaker 6: to showcasing your skills and now you're counting on as 270 00:11:35,520 --> 00:11:37,720 Speaker 6: the wide receiver one and going to be featured in 271 00:11:37,760 --> 00:11:40,200 Speaker 6: this offense. As Liam Cohen said, when he first got here, 272 00:11:40,600 --> 00:11:42,600 Speaker 6: so is there a little bit of maybe he wasn't 273 00:11:42,640 --> 00:11:46,679 Speaker 6: ready to handle the mantle, the responsibility of being the 274 00:11:46,679 --> 00:11:49,000 Speaker 6: go to guy and being the leader of that wide 275 00:11:49,040 --> 00:11:50,600 Speaker 6: receiving group going into your second year. 276 00:11:51,640 --> 00:11:55,680 Speaker 5: Well, it's also there's a school of thought that being 277 00:11:55,840 --> 00:11:58,680 Speaker 5: the number one wide receiver on a bad football team, 278 00:11:58,679 --> 00:12:01,000 Speaker 5: when you're playing from behind get a lot of yardage, 279 00:12:01,280 --> 00:12:04,480 Speaker 5: is not the same as being that guy. You know, 280 00:12:04,520 --> 00:12:06,839 Speaker 5: in this year, he was counted on to be that guy, 281 00:12:07,200 --> 00:12:09,000 Speaker 5: and so far he hasn't been that guy, and that 282 00:12:09,080 --> 00:12:10,559 Speaker 5: maybe has been a problem for me. 283 00:12:10,800 --> 00:12:12,040 Speaker 2: By the way, you mentioned that. 284 00:12:12,120 --> 00:12:14,800 Speaker 5: In training, can't be looked around that receiver room a 285 00:12:14,840 --> 00:12:17,880 Speaker 5: bunch of kids in there. Yeah, And so I think 286 00:12:17,960 --> 00:12:21,240 Speaker 5: Tim Patrick was brought in because Tim Patrick's a pro 287 00:12:21,880 --> 00:12:24,600 Speaker 5: and he can help them. The problem with that is 288 00:12:25,200 --> 00:12:27,680 Speaker 5: if you're a pro and you're not really doing a lot, 289 00:12:28,400 --> 00:12:30,520 Speaker 5: guys look at them and they go, Okay, he's a pro. 290 00:12:30,640 --> 00:12:32,720 Speaker 2: He's been a pro, he's done things the right way. 291 00:12:32,880 --> 00:12:35,280 Speaker 2: But what does he do when he gets on the field. Yeah, 292 00:12:35,320 --> 00:12:38,440 Speaker 2: you know what I mean. That's so you know, you 293 00:12:38,480 --> 00:12:39,480 Speaker 2: know how this is Austin. 294 00:12:39,559 --> 00:12:43,080 Speaker 5: Guys react to production. They react to what you can do. 295 00:12:43,679 --> 00:12:45,360 Speaker 5: You can be the greatest leader in the world. You're 296 00:12:45,360 --> 00:12:47,040 Speaker 5: not producing, Guys are gonna look at you and go, 297 00:12:47,559 --> 00:12:49,160 Speaker 5: what I'm not listening? 298 00:12:49,200 --> 00:12:52,120 Speaker 2: He's what I should be following. He gets one catch 299 00:12:52,160 --> 00:12:54,400 Speaker 2: every two games. 300 00:12:54,080 --> 00:12:55,080 Speaker 1: Right, That's how it goes. 301 00:12:55,720 --> 00:12:58,240 Speaker 4: Quick thought on defense as we begin the program, we'll 302 00:12:58,280 --> 00:13:00,560 Speaker 4: get back to offense, certainly coming. 303 00:13:00,440 --> 00:13:02,600 Speaker 1: Up no takeaways last two weeks. 304 00:13:02,640 --> 00:13:05,120 Speaker 4: A little different feel when you don't have Devin Lloyd 305 00:13:05,200 --> 00:13:09,080 Speaker 4: out there, Trevon Walker with one hand and they're playing 306 00:13:09,080 --> 00:13:09,960 Speaker 4: from behind a lot. 307 00:13:10,120 --> 00:13:12,319 Speaker 1: So early leads helped this team early. 308 00:13:12,400 --> 00:13:15,200 Speaker 4: So where you know, where are they defensively right now? 309 00:13:15,360 --> 00:13:17,480 Speaker 6: I mean I think defensively right now that the biggest 310 00:13:17,480 --> 00:13:20,880 Speaker 6: focus has to be on that defensive line and more 311 00:13:20,920 --> 00:13:22,640 Speaker 6: specific that interior defensive line. 312 00:13:22,880 --> 00:13:23,959 Speaker 1: I think right now if you look at. 313 00:13:23,880 --> 00:13:25,520 Speaker 6: The NFL in terms of bie weeks and everything, I 314 00:13:25,559 --> 00:13:27,440 Speaker 6: think they're probably like half the teams in the NFL 315 00:13:27,520 --> 00:13:28,320 Speaker 6: have had a bye week. 316 00:13:28,360 --> 00:13:29,920 Speaker 1: The other half are still waiting to have theirs. 317 00:13:30,640 --> 00:13:33,560 Speaker 6: The Jacksonville Jaggars are dead last right now in quarterback sacks, 318 00:13:34,160 --> 00:13:37,440 Speaker 6: and I understand, like that's a number that sometimes gets 319 00:13:37,440 --> 00:13:39,800 Speaker 6: lost in translation. Right, Like we consider and say, well, 320 00:13:39,800 --> 00:13:43,360 Speaker 6: how many socks? How many sacks does josh heinz Allen have? Well, 321 00:13:43,559 --> 00:13:45,880 Speaker 6: not that many, right, he hasn't really achieved that. But 322 00:13:45,920 --> 00:13:47,240 Speaker 6: at the same time, you can turn on the film 323 00:13:47,240 --> 00:13:50,960 Speaker 6: and say, well, he's getting pressures, he's causing turnovers and everything, 324 00:13:51,040 --> 00:13:53,800 Speaker 6: he's just not getting quarterback sacks. If you want to 325 00:13:53,800 --> 00:13:56,400 Speaker 6: be a playoff caliber team and make a run, you 326 00:13:56,480 --> 00:13:58,559 Speaker 6: have to get the quarterback down. It's as simple as that. 327 00:13:58,640 --> 00:13:59,960 Speaker 6: If you see the teams right now in the end, 328 00:14:00,240 --> 00:14:01,880 Speaker 6: and there's always anomalies, but have you seen the teams 329 00:14:01,920 --> 00:14:05,320 Speaker 6: right now that are leading in the category of quarterback sacks? 330 00:14:05,480 --> 00:14:08,000 Speaker 6: Those are playoff types of teams. The team's on the 331 00:14:08,000 --> 00:14:10,880 Speaker 6: bottom not so much so to me, that's that's the 332 00:14:10,920 --> 00:14:11,800 Speaker 6: biggest thing right now. 333 00:14:11,840 --> 00:14:13,400 Speaker 1: On defense, It's getting after the quarterback. 334 00:14:14,200 --> 00:14:18,079 Speaker 2: No interior pressure at all usually. I mean, that's the problem. 335 00:14:18,720 --> 00:14:18,960 Speaker 2: You know. 336 00:14:19,520 --> 00:14:21,480 Speaker 5: Hamilton, by the way, I'm gonna say that he's been 337 00:14:21,480 --> 00:14:23,240 Speaker 5: actually pretty good the last couple of weeks in the 338 00:14:23,320 --> 00:14:25,520 Speaker 5: run game. I think he's played some of his best 339 00:14:25,520 --> 00:14:27,840 Speaker 5: football since what happened with his back the last couple 340 00:14:27,880 --> 00:14:31,080 Speaker 5: of weeks, but he didn't offer anything as a pass rusher. 341 00:14:31,760 --> 00:14:34,560 Speaker 5: Mason Smith is hinted at times with some pass rush 342 00:14:34,600 --> 00:14:37,600 Speaker 5: the last couple of weeks, but it's not consistent. And 343 00:14:38,000 --> 00:14:41,880 Speaker 5: you know the other guys in the Blue Moon Armstead. 344 00:14:41,920 --> 00:14:44,280 Speaker 1: You'll see the Austin Johnson as well sometimes is in there. 345 00:14:44,280 --> 00:14:46,920 Speaker 5: But yeah, but they're not consistent enough to push the 346 00:14:46,960 --> 00:14:48,840 Speaker 5: interior of the pocket. And when you don't push the 347 00:14:48,880 --> 00:14:51,640 Speaker 5: interior of the pocket, you can watch the tape and 348 00:14:51,680 --> 00:14:54,520 Speaker 5: see Josh Hines Allen getting all kinds of attention on 349 00:14:54,600 --> 00:14:58,080 Speaker 5: his side, and when Walker's not in there doing his stuff, 350 00:14:58,400 --> 00:15:00,400 Speaker 5: you can really see it go to the others. He's 351 00:15:00,440 --> 00:15:03,080 Speaker 5: dealing with two and three sing guys sometimes, and so 352 00:15:03,160 --> 00:15:04,760 Speaker 5: that adds to the lack of production. 353 00:15:04,840 --> 00:15:07,280 Speaker 2: I'm with you. You can talk all you want about pressures. 354 00:15:07,280 --> 00:15:10,320 Speaker 5: They always the analytics guys, well, pressures are more just 355 00:15:10,360 --> 00:15:11,480 Speaker 5: as important as sacks. 356 00:15:12,160 --> 00:15:12,680 Speaker 2: No, they're not. 357 00:15:13,440 --> 00:15:17,440 Speaker 5: There's nothing more demoralizing to an offense than throwing the 358 00:15:17,520 --> 00:15:20,880 Speaker 5: quarterback on the ground on first down and having him 359 00:15:20,920 --> 00:15:24,480 Speaker 5: second and twenty nothing. You know, pressure, Oh he pressured 360 00:15:24,560 --> 00:15:26,520 Speaker 5: him and he threw the ball away. Well, still second 361 00:15:26,520 --> 00:15:29,640 Speaker 5: and ten. Get him on the ground. They're not getting 362 00:15:29,720 --> 00:15:32,440 Speaker 5: him on the ground. That demoralized is an offense. 363 00:15:32,600 --> 00:15:34,480 Speaker 6: I remember, I think this would have been my second 364 00:15:34,520 --> 00:15:37,600 Speaker 6: year twenty eleven. I remember we played Houston at Houston 365 00:15:37,680 --> 00:15:39,640 Speaker 6: and that that was the game where where they put 366 00:15:39,680 --> 00:15:41,760 Speaker 6: up like forty something points. Blackman went off for us 367 00:15:41,800 --> 00:15:45,120 Speaker 6: on offense and everything. But but I had five quarterback pressures. 368 00:15:45,480 --> 00:15:47,000 Speaker 6: Wasn't like I was on the poll my agent after 369 00:15:47,000 --> 00:15:50,240 Speaker 6: that game saying, hey, time to re up. I got 370 00:15:50,240 --> 00:15:53,040 Speaker 6: five pressures. You know, you've got to tell Gene Smith 371 00:15:53,120 --> 00:15:56,560 Speaker 6: right now write the contract. Like no, like they can 372 00:15:56,600 --> 00:15:57,440 Speaker 6: they affect the game? 373 00:15:58,040 --> 00:16:02,040 Speaker 1: Absolutely? Are you getting paid off quarterback pressures? Absolutely not. 374 00:16:03,040 --> 00:16:04,600 Speaker 2: But here's the other part of that, Austin. 375 00:16:04,680 --> 00:16:07,120 Speaker 5: If you were getting five pressures and you were pressuring 376 00:16:07,160 --> 00:16:10,000 Speaker 5: the quarterback to move and he was moving into somebody 377 00:16:10,000 --> 00:16:13,600 Speaker 5: else getting him on the ground, then those pressures matter, correct, 378 00:16:13,640 --> 00:16:17,000 Speaker 5: you know, but where the Josh Hanes Allen's getting pressures 379 00:16:17,280 --> 00:16:20,280 Speaker 5: and he's not pressuring into anybody else getting sacks, you 380 00:16:20,320 --> 00:16:20,760 Speaker 5: know what I mean. 381 00:16:20,840 --> 00:16:22,080 Speaker 2: So it's it's not working. 382 00:16:22,360 --> 00:16:25,680 Speaker 4: They pressured into some arrant throws early in the season 383 00:16:25,720 --> 00:16:27,680 Speaker 4: that were picked off on the back end. There's some 384 00:16:27,720 --> 00:16:30,160 Speaker 4: of that, but then that's gone away too. 385 00:16:30,880 --> 00:16:33,160 Speaker 5: So right, they haven't taken the ball away and sometimes 386 00:16:33,320 --> 00:16:36,520 Speaker 5: we talked about this last week, JP, sometimes when you 387 00:16:36,560 --> 00:16:39,480 Speaker 5: take the ball away and master your inefficiencies on defense. 388 00:16:39,600 --> 00:16:43,560 Speaker 4: Hmmm. Oh, we'll dig deeper into this a little bit more. 389 00:16:44,480 --> 00:16:46,960 Speaker 1: I should have watched the replay last week to see 390 00:16:48,360 --> 00:16:51,000 Speaker 1: watching the film. Wasn't trying to get back watching it. 391 00:16:51,040 --> 00:16:52,560 Speaker 1: I was busy walking around London. 392 00:16:53,720 --> 00:16:56,000 Speaker 2: I'm sure you were. I don't know. If you were walking, 393 00:16:56,360 --> 00:16:57,480 Speaker 2: you might have been crawling. 394 00:16:57,760 --> 00:17:00,000 Speaker 4: We're back in a moment. That's enough out of you 395 00:17:00,080 --> 00:17:03,720 Speaker 4: for now, Pete. We'll get back into this offense and 396 00:17:04,680 --> 00:17:05,640 Speaker 4: catching the football. 397 00:17:05,920 --> 00:17:07,560 Speaker 1: That's an important piece of what they do. 398 00:17:07,920 --> 00:17:10,840 Speaker 4: And Travis Hunter, how much more can they use of 399 00:17:10,920 --> 00:17:12,960 Speaker 4: him in this offense? Moving ahead and trying to get 400 00:17:12,960 --> 00:17:15,320 Speaker 4: back to the run game. It's all coming up. This is Jaguars Happy 404 00:17:26,040 --> 00:17:28,080 Speaker 4: Hour presented by Jet Home Loans. 405 00:17:36,440 --> 00:17:39,000 Speaker 7: You look at the end of the last game against 406 00:17:39,000 --> 00:17:42,320 Speaker 7: the Rams with he and Trevor building on a connection 407 00:17:42,600 --> 00:17:45,560 Speaker 7: and making some plays towards the end of the game. 408 00:17:45,600 --> 00:17:47,480 Speaker 7: Obviously it was a lot of reach at the time, 409 00:17:47,560 --> 00:17:53,399 Speaker 7: but you're still seeing competitive throws and catches in live action, 410 00:17:53,560 --> 00:17:57,320 Speaker 7: which is something we've needed. So, you know, you definitely 411 00:17:57,359 --> 00:18:01,200 Speaker 7: look at how much more can he hand, how much 412 00:18:01,280 --> 00:18:04,560 Speaker 7: more can we put him in a position to be 413 00:18:04,640 --> 00:18:07,560 Speaker 7: successful on both offense and defense, and what does that 414 00:18:07,600 --> 00:18:10,720 Speaker 7: look like. So it definitely gave us an opportunity as 415 00:18:10,720 --> 00:18:14,119 Speaker 7: a staff to look at how we can continue to 416 00:18:14,240 --> 00:18:14,960 Speaker 7: use him. 417 00:18:15,240 --> 00:18:17,760 Speaker 4: Hey, coach Liam Colell, hear more from him coming up 418 00:18:17,880 --> 00:18:21,000 Speaker 4: and the full press conference at Jaguars dot Com discussing 419 00:18:21,080 --> 00:18:24,000 Speaker 4: Travis Hunter and his usage moving forward. 420 00:18:24,040 --> 00:18:24,600 Speaker 1: Welcome back. 421 00:18:24,640 --> 00:18:27,280 Speaker 4: It is Jaguars Happy Hour presented by Jet Holme Loans, 422 00:18:27,280 --> 00:18:30,880 Speaker 4: ten to Xlam, Jaguars dot Com, Jaguars YouTube JP, Shadrick, 423 00:18:30,920 --> 00:18:35,520 Speaker 4: Austin Lane and Pete Prisco. The band is back together, 424 00:18:35,560 --> 00:18:38,760 Speaker 4: and the Jaguars this week head to Las Vegas to 425 00:18:38,840 --> 00:18:42,640 Speaker 4: face the Raiders. Travis Hunter in that game at Wimbley 426 00:18:42,640 --> 00:18:45,919 Speaker 4: against the Rams fourteen targets, eight catches, one hundred one yards, 427 00:18:45,960 --> 00:18:48,840 Speaker 4: and his first career touchdown, all as Liam Cohen said, 428 00:18:48,880 --> 00:18:50,960 Speaker 4: when the game was out of hand and out of reach. 429 00:18:51,720 --> 00:18:54,560 Speaker 4: But you know it's starting to trend that way. You 430 00:18:54,680 --> 00:18:57,000 Speaker 4: got to keep feeding him the football a little bit more. 431 00:18:57,119 --> 00:18:59,720 Speaker 4: When he has it in his hands, he's dynamic. They've 432 00:18:59,760 --> 00:19:02,120 Speaker 4: just find some plays to him that haven't been thrown 433 00:19:02,160 --> 00:19:04,760 Speaker 4: to him. We touched on that. But how much more 434 00:19:04,800 --> 00:19:07,680 Speaker 4: can he handle? Starting on offense, We'll get the defense 435 00:19:07,720 --> 00:19:08,200 Speaker 4: coming up. 436 00:19:08,640 --> 00:19:10,080 Speaker 1: I think he's gonna have to handle more. 437 00:19:10,240 --> 00:19:13,520 Speaker 6: I think going forward right now until proven otherwise, Travis 438 00:19:13,560 --> 00:19:16,480 Speaker 6: Hunter is your wide receiver one because every time the 439 00:19:16,520 --> 00:19:18,800 Speaker 6: ball's in his hand, good things happen. And I think 440 00:19:19,040 --> 00:19:21,240 Speaker 6: he hasn't shown you yet a reason not to trust 441 00:19:21,280 --> 00:19:24,240 Speaker 6: him now. Obviously getting mined up properly, the motions and 442 00:19:24,280 --> 00:19:26,560 Speaker 6: things like that, that has to get cleaned up. And 443 00:19:26,600 --> 00:19:28,560 Speaker 6: I think the more time he spends this offense, that 444 00:19:28,600 --> 00:19:31,320 Speaker 6: will be cleaned up. But it's apparent to me that 445 00:19:31,720 --> 00:19:33,800 Speaker 6: this is your wide receiver one going forward, this is 446 00:19:33,800 --> 00:19:36,080 Speaker 6: gonna be the guy that's gonna help out Trevor Lawrence, 447 00:19:36,080 --> 00:19:37,680 Speaker 6: I think, and give him a new sense of confidence. 448 00:19:38,720 --> 00:19:40,960 Speaker 2: I agree with you one hundred percent. It's his offense. 449 00:19:41,040 --> 00:19:43,520 Speaker 5: Now build it around him getting the ball. I love 450 00:19:43,600 --> 00:19:45,080 Speaker 5: this play getting them down the field. 451 00:19:45,080 --> 00:19:46,960 Speaker 2: They we haven't seen much of that. You know, a 452 00:19:47,000 --> 00:19:47,720 Speaker 2: lot of quick. 453 00:19:47,480 --> 00:19:50,360 Speaker 5: Stuff with him getting him in some one on one situations. 454 00:19:50,400 --> 00:19:52,680 Speaker 5: It's hard to cover him in one on one situations. 455 00:19:52,680 --> 00:19:55,560 Speaker 5: He's fluid, he knows how to run, and you're right, 456 00:19:55,760 --> 00:19:58,520 Speaker 5: the lining up and all that. The presnap penalties, he's 457 00:19:58,560 --> 00:20:00,159 Speaker 5: got to be better with that, as do a lot 458 00:20:00,000 --> 00:20:02,560 Speaker 5: lot of guys. But he's the now, he's the number 459 00:20:02,600 --> 00:20:04,840 Speaker 5: one offense and going forward, I think he will be 460 00:20:04,920 --> 00:20:07,600 Speaker 5: the focal point of the offense. But having said that, 461 00:20:07,640 --> 00:20:10,040 Speaker 5: and you said we'll talk about the defense later, I 462 00:20:10,080 --> 00:20:11,880 Speaker 5: think he should be playing more corner too. 463 00:20:12,560 --> 00:20:15,040 Speaker 1: Do both just play it all, Just go play. 464 00:20:14,880 --> 00:20:17,520 Speaker 2: It all, play it all. He's their best corner. He's 465 00:20:17,560 --> 00:20:19,280 Speaker 2: the best. He's their best receiver. 466 00:20:19,640 --> 00:20:21,639 Speaker 5: And I don't think there's any question when he plays 467 00:20:21,680 --> 00:20:24,080 Speaker 5: corner and he covers a guy and man the man, 468 00:20:24,680 --> 00:20:29,160 Speaker 5: he's damn good at it, so so why not play 469 00:20:29,200 --> 00:20:32,240 Speaker 5: him at both? All we'd heard all offseason was always 470 00:20:32,240 --> 00:20:32,960 Speaker 5: gonna play both? 471 00:20:33,359 --> 00:20:35,920 Speaker 2: Was so far he hasn't played both. Well, now's that. 472 00:20:36,280 --> 00:20:38,240 Speaker 2: Now you're it after the bye week. 473 00:20:38,720 --> 00:20:41,439 Speaker 5: Now's the time he has to be on the field 474 00:20:41,520 --> 00:20:46,680 Speaker 5: playing both. Starting corner, starting wide receiver, number one wide receiver, 475 00:20:47,320 --> 00:20:48,320 Speaker 5: number one corner. 476 00:20:48,440 --> 00:20:49,119 Speaker 2: That's who he is. 477 00:20:49,520 --> 00:20:52,040 Speaker 6: To kind of echo what Pete was saying about this defense, 478 00:20:52,080 --> 00:20:54,200 Speaker 6: where when you get turnovers that can mask a lot 479 00:20:54,240 --> 00:20:56,200 Speaker 6: of things, I think the same thing can be said 480 00:20:56,240 --> 00:20:57,960 Speaker 6: when you're winning football games. I think it masked a 481 00:20:58,000 --> 00:21:01,200 Speaker 6: little bit of what Travis Hunter was doing right because, okay, 482 00:21:01,240 --> 00:21:03,600 Speaker 6: this is your first round pick. You give up another pick, 483 00:21:03,720 --> 00:21:05,879 Speaker 6: another first round pick next year to get this guy. 484 00:21:06,280 --> 00:21:08,320 Speaker 6: And granted, maybe he hasn't been the most productive in 485 00:21:08,400 --> 00:21:10,480 Speaker 6: terms of an offense, but you're running football game, so 486 00:21:10,520 --> 00:21:13,080 Speaker 6: it was an issue. Now we see, okay, well this 487 00:21:13,160 --> 00:21:17,000 Speaker 6: offense is stagnant, this defense is giving up some big plays. 488 00:21:17,520 --> 00:21:19,119 Speaker 1: You have to use them on both sides of the ball. 489 00:21:19,320 --> 00:21:21,080 Speaker 1: But before you had the luxury of saying, okay, we're 490 00:21:21,080 --> 00:21:23,640 Speaker 1: winning football games. This is a marathon, not a sprint. 491 00:21:23,960 --> 00:21:25,800 Speaker 1: As long as we're winning, let's let's keep them under 492 00:21:25,840 --> 00:21:28,440 Speaker 1: raps a little bit. Let's slowly bring them along. Well, 493 00:21:28,560 --> 00:21:30,320 Speaker 1: you've lost two games now. In those two games that. 494 00:21:30,280 --> 00:21:32,480 Speaker 6: You've lost, they weren't your best showing, and now you 495 00:21:32,840 --> 00:21:35,720 Speaker 6: I think this is a must win game against the Raiders. Win, 496 00:21:35,960 --> 00:21:39,879 Speaker 6: must win, must after a bye week, especially against the 497 00:21:39,920 --> 00:21:40,920 Speaker 6: team that you're supposed to be. 498 00:21:41,520 --> 00:21:43,359 Speaker 1: This is a must win game, I think for the. 499 00:21:43,960 --> 00:21:46,640 Speaker 6: Morale in that locker room, but also for in terms 500 00:21:46,640 --> 00:21:47,640 Speaker 6: of wanting to go to the playoffs. 501 00:21:47,680 --> 00:21:48,840 Speaker 1: You gotta beat the Raiders. 502 00:21:49,320 --> 00:21:50,080 Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't want to. 503 00:21:51,720 --> 00:21:54,400 Speaker 5: Here we go again, crap promiate in that locker room. 504 00:21:54,440 --> 00:21:56,919 Speaker 5: And so I'm in agreement with Austin on that. I 505 00:21:56,920 --> 00:21:59,280 Speaker 5: think this is definitely a must win. But back to 506 00:21:59,320 --> 00:22:02,560 Speaker 5: Travis Hunter, when you look at it on the grand 507 00:22:02,600 --> 00:22:06,160 Speaker 5: big you know, the big picture, you could have drafted 508 00:22:07,119 --> 00:22:11,680 Speaker 5: a wide receiver in that spot, Pat McMillan, Abuka or 509 00:22:11,720 --> 00:22:13,360 Speaker 5: whatever they would have been starting. 510 00:22:13,400 --> 00:22:14,359 Speaker 2: You would have been happy with him. 511 00:22:14,400 --> 00:22:16,680 Speaker 5: They would have been a good player, and you still 512 00:22:16,680 --> 00:22:18,760 Speaker 5: would have had your pick next year if you wanted 513 00:22:18,800 --> 00:22:23,120 Speaker 5: to draft a cornerback high corner, and they both would 514 00:22:23,200 --> 00:22:25,159 Speaker 5: in two years. Next year, they both would have been 515 00:22:25,160 --> 00:22:29,600 Speaker 5: started playing one will play corner, one will play wide receiver. Well, 516 00:22:29,640 --> 00:22:33,520 Speaker 5: you opted to go get a guy who is a unicorn, 517 00:22:33,560 --> 00:22:37,320 Speaker 5: as he calls himself, because you gave up those picks 518 00:22:37,320 --> 00:22:39,560 Speaker 5: to do it. Well, now he's got to play both. 519 00:22:40,119 --> 00:22:43,160 Speaker 5: Enough with the charades, it's over. He's the number one 520 00:22:43,160 --> 00:22:46,600 Speaker 5: wide receiver, he's the number one corner. He wants to 521 00:22:46,640 --> 00:22:49,240 Speaker 5: play both. He thinks he can play both. He showed 522 00:22:49,359 --> 00:22:50,240 Speaker 5: he could play both. 523 00:22:50,600 --> 00:22:53,800 Speaker 2: Go play both. Don't take him out not play. 524 00:22:54,160 --> 00:22:55,000 Speaker 1: I agree with you, Pete. 525 00:22:55,040 --> 00:22:57,040 Speaker 6: But also the argument's going to be, well, they weren't 526 00:22:57,080 --> 00:23:00,000 Speaker 6: asking for a corner at all during this past season. 527 00:23:00,080 --> 00:23:01,000 Speaker 1: Is draft right? 528 00:23:01,000 --> 00:23:04,720 Speaker 6: Like everyone said, okay, wide receiver, possibly, defensive tackle possibly, 529 00:23:04,880 --> 00:23:06,560 Speaker 6: But I didn't see a lot of people were reporting 530 00:23:06,840 --> 00:23:09,359 Speaker 6: that Jay was another cornerback because well they had Tyson 531 00:23:09,400 --> 00:23:11,200 Speaker 6: Campbell at the time. I think we all thought Tyson 532 00:23:11,240 --> 00:23:14,160 Speaker 6: Campbell could take a step forward. 533 00:23:14,520 --> 00:23:15,480 Speaker 2: One on the other side. 534 00:23:15,600 --> 00:23:17,720 Speaker 6: Well, I mean you bring in Lewis, which I thought, 535 00:23:18,320 --> 00:23:22,560 Speaker 6: you know, free agency, Yeah, make a corner, but like I. 536 00:23:22,480 --> 00:23:26,080 Speaker 4: Think Jorian might take a step at least. 537 00:23:26,240 --> 00:23:27,440 Speaker 1: I was pretty comfortable there. 538 00:23:27,520 --> 00:23:29,920 Speaker 6: I knew, Okay, if you get Travis Hunter, yeah we'll 539 00:23:29,920 --> 00:23:31,800 Speaker 6: see how he fits in on that defense and everything. 540 00:23:31,800 --> 00:23:34,080 Speaker 6: But people were expecting, I think a lot more from 541 00:23:34,160 --> 00:23:37,240 Speaker 6: Tyson Campbell and he didn't deliver. He gets traded away 542 00:23:37,240 --> 00:23:39,479 Speaker 6: and now we'll see what Newsom can do. But nobody 543 00:23:39,520 --> 00:23:42,720 Speaker 6: was really clamoring for that first round cornerback in last 544 00:23:42,800 --> 00:23:44,440 Speaker 6: year's you know, in this past season's draft, it was 545 00:23:44,440 --> 00:23:46,840 Speaker 6: all about wide receiver. Now I agree with you, though, 546 00:23:46,920 --> 00:23:49,720 Speaker 6: When if you're James Gladstone and one of the first 547 00:23:49,760 --> 00:23:52,080 Speaker 6: things you say about your first round pick is he's 548 00:23:52,080 --> 00:23:55,120 Speaker 6: going to change the game. You gotta change the game. 549 00:23:55,240 --> 00:23:56,600 Speaker 4: Was that going to change the game sitting on the 550 00:23:56,640 --> 00:23:57,520 Speaker 4: bench on defense? 551 00:23:57,600 --> 00:23:58,320 Speaker 1: Yeah? Right? 552 00:23:58,760 --> 00:24:04,360 Speaker 5: I mean if I deal scenario right now, their cornerback positions. 553 00:24:04,640 --> 00:24:10,199 Speaker 5: You take the field starting cornerback, he's playing outside, Lewis 554 00:24:10,240 --> 00:24:14,160 Speaker 5: is playing the inside, and Newsom's playing outside. That's their 555 00:24:14,200 --> 00:24:18,199 Speaker 5: ideal scenario right there. That's what they should play. Just 556 00:24:18,240 --> 00:24:18,960 Speaker 5: play it that way. 557 00:24:19,960 --> 00:24:22,760 Speaker 2: I mean, you have, okay, you what's your other option? 558 00:24:23,200 --> 00:24:24,880 Speaker 2: Play Jones? 559 00:24:25,359 --> 00:24:29,160 Speaker 5: Play Monterrek Brown and look, Monterrek Brown fights, fights and battles. 560 00:24:29,200 --> 00:24:31,240 Speaker 5: I love the way the kid plays, but he's limited. 561 00:24:31,720 --> 00:24:34,720 Speaker 5: He doesn't run very well, and so there's a limit there. 562 00:24:35,000 --> 00:24:36,560 Speaker 5: And by the way, you have a safety in the 563 00:24:36,600 --> 00:24:38,560 Speaker 5: middle of the field doesn't run at all, and so 564 00:24:38,640 --> 00:24:40,440 Speaker 5: you know that's a problem when you have two guys 565 00:24:40,440 --> 00:24:42,640 Speaker 5: that don't run that well. And that's why I think 566 00:24:42,680 --> 00:24:44,840 Speaker 5: Travis Hunter needs to be on the field you need. 567 00:24:45,160 --> 00:24:45,960 Speaker 2: If you play. 568 00:24:45,760 --> 00:24:48,280 Speaker 5: Travis Hunter, you could play man the man in some 569 00:24:48,320 --> 00:24:51,240 Speaker 5: situations on that side of the field. You can bring 570 00:24:51,840 --> 00:24:54,200 Speaker 5: Winger down because he should be down more than he 571 00:24:54,200 --> 00:24:55,439 Speaker 5: should be in the middle of the field. 572 00:24:55,840 --> 00:24:56,680 Speaker 2: And then you could. 573 00:24:56,480 --> 00:24:59,679 Speaker 5: Play Murray in the middle of the field and you 574 00:24:59,720 --> 00:25:02,679 Speaker 5: could on the other side. That's what he gives you. 575 00:25:02,680 --> 00:25:04,920 Speaker 5: You know, Lewis could cover Manda Man. He could cover 576 00:25:05,000 --> 00:25:05,480 Speaker 5: Manda Man. 577 00:25:05,520 --> 00:25:07,159 Speaker 2: Those two guys give you and any help on the 578 00:25:07,200 --> 00:25:10,600 Speaker 2: other side, new someone needs help. I just think they 579 00:25:10,640 --> 00:25:12,200 Speaker 2: need to let him play both. 580 00:25:12,400 --> 00:25:15,760 Speaker 5: And now is the time you play him every snap 581 00:25:15,760 --> 00:25:18,679 Speaker 5: on defense and every snap on offense going forward. 582 00:25:19,480 --> 00:25:21,879 Speaker 4: Got plans for twenty twenty eight, Well the Jags do, 583 00:25:22,000 --> 00:25:24,080 Speaker 4: and they'll be back better than ever and be among 584 00:25:24,119 --> 00:25:26,280 Speaker 4: the first to experience the stadium in the future and 585 00:25:26,320 --> 00:25:29,680 Speaker 4: cement your place in Jags history. So 595 00:26:12,200 --> 00:26:14,760 Speaker 7: you look at all those things and so much of 596 00:26:14,800 --> 00:26:16,600 Speaker 7: it goes into it. These guys did a lot of 597 00:26:16,640 --> 00:26:20,600 Speaker 7: work as a staff from a report and communicating that 598 00:26:20,680 --> 00:26:23,240 Speaker 7: now to the players and some of those things that 599 00:26:23,280 --> 00:26:25,640 Speaker 7: you want to end up getting maybe tweaked, but we're 600 00:26:25,680 --> 00:26:27,159 Speaker 7: not going to go and reinvent the wheel. 601 00:26:28,000 --> 00:26:30,240 Speaker 4: Se Liam Cohen, Jaguars head coach, coming out of the 602 00:26:30,280 --> 00:26:33,280 Speaker 4: bye week, met with a media earlier today and welcome back. 603 00:26:33,320 --> 00:26:36,240 Speaker 4: It is Jaguars Happy Hour presented by Jet Home Loans 604 00:26:36,240 --> 00:26:38,600 Speaker 4: from the Hyundai Studios the Middle of Electric Center, JP 605 00:26:38,720 --> 00:26:42,240 Speaker 4: Shadwick with Austin Lane, Pete Prisco down in South Florida 606 00:26:42,440 --> 00:26:45,160 Speaker 4: after the bye week the Jaguars head to Vegas. Four 607 00:26:45,200 --> 00:26:47,600 Speaker 4: out of the next five games are on the road 608 00:26:47,840 --> 00:26:51,439 Speaker 4: for the Jaguars. That happens with the London part of 609 00:26:51,480 --> 00:26:54,400 Speaker 4: the schedule sometimes when you have some home games, including 610 00:26:54,440 --> 00:26:57,640 Speaker 4: that one lumped together. This will be the long road 611 00:26:57,640 --> 00:27:01,040 Speaker 4: trip portion month month and a half or so for 612 00:27:01,080 --> 00:27:03,800 Speaker 4: the Jags coming up. And he was talking about defense 613 00:27:03,840 --> 00:27:07,240 Speaker 4: there and you said it earlier takeaways might mask some 614 00:27:07,400 --> 00:27:10,280 Speaker 4: of the issues that the Jaguars were having on defense. 615 00:27:10,320 --> 00:27:12,320 Speaker 4: We talked a little bit about that and Liam Cohen 616 00:27:12,359 --> 00:27:15,160 Speaker 4: mentioned it there. Pass rush could get home a little 617 00:27:15,160 --> 00:27:19,600 Speaker 4: bit more. What else on defense? Do you need to 618 00:27:19,600 --> 00:27:21,680 Speaker 4: see more out of this group? 619 00:27:21,920 --> 00:27:22,040 Speaker 1: Like? 620 00:27:22,040 --> 00:27:22,399 Speaker 2: What what? 621 00:27:23,200 --> 00:27:26,199 Speaker 4: But beyond the pass rush? Yeah, like what is what 622 00:27:26,240 --> 00:27:26,760 Speaker 4: are they missing? 623 00:27:26,880 --> 00:27:27,080 Speaker 2: See? 624 00:27:27,119 --> 00:27:29,320 Speaker 1: I mean I think we talked about. 625 00:27:29,359 --> 00:27:31,440 Speaker 4: I'm missing there. They've had a good year. I think, 626 00:27:31,440 --> 00:27:32,440 Speaker 4: oh no, no, for sure. 627 00:27:32,800 --> 00:27:34,600 Speaker 6: I think we talk about a defense like are they 628 00:27:34,600 --> 00:27:37,560 Speaker 6: physical and they have the right attitude right, And I 629 00:27:37,600 --> 00:27:42,280 Speaker 6: think when you have those those phrases, you look strictly 630 00:27:42,320 --> 00:27:44,840 Speaker 6: at what can they stop the run? I think they've 631 00:27:44,840 --> 00:27:46,960 Speaker 6: done a pretty dang good job of stopping the run, 632 00:27:47,040 --> 00:27:48,800 Speaker 6: So that's not an issue like last year that was 633 00:27:48,800 --> 00:27:51,679 Speaker 6: an issue, right, this year, it seems to be that 634 00:27:51,760 --> 00:27:53,280 Speaker 6: they know what they're doing there in the trenches, so 635 00:27:53,359 --> 00:27:55,359 Speaker 6: like that's not the issue. So I think that the 636 00:27:55,440 --> 00:27:57,880 Speaker 6: back part of it's got to be communication and it's 637 00:27:57,920 --> 00:27:59,879 Speaker 6: got to be giving up the big plays. Because if 638 00:27:59,920 --> 00:28:02,520 Speaker 6: you look at like that Rams game, and we talked 639 00:28:02,520 --> 00:28:04,040 Speaker 6: about this with me and p and everything, like, that 640 00:28:04,080 --> 00:28:06,639 Speaker 6: game could have been a lot worse than what it was, right, Like, 641 00:28:06,760 --> 00:28:09,280 Speaker 6: I think I think Sean McVay not saying took it 642 00:28:09,320 --> 00:28:10,800 Speaker 6: easy because you know, it's the NFL. 643 00:28:10,840 --> 00:28:12,160 Speaker 1: Everyone's got to do their thing. 644 00:28:12,200 --> 00:28:14,320 Speaker 6: But like, I think they could have threw the kitchen 645 00:28:14,320 --> 00:28:16,000 Speaker 6: sink a little more and it could have been a 646 00:28:16,000 --> 00:28:19,080 Speaker 6: fifty burger. On this defense, they were just they were 647 00:28:19,119 --> 00:28:21,399 Speaker 6: that in tuned and the defense was just giving up 648 00:28:21,400 --> 00:28:22,040 Speaker 6: too much when. 649 00:28:21,920 --> 00:28:24,120 Speaker 4: They came up in thirteen personnel to start the game, 650 00:28:24,160 --> 00:28:25,760 Speaker 4: and every run in three tight ends at I'm ben 651 00:28:25,840 --> 00:28:26,760 Speaker 4: throwing it to all of them. 652 00:28:26,800 --> 00:28:28,960 Speaker 6: I mean, but you know, when there's a minute left 653 00:28:29,080 --> 00:28:31,359 Speaker 6: in the half and you get a nine yard game 654 00:28:31,880 --> 00:28:33,880 Speaker 6: and then you chose to take a knee. 655 00:28:33,720 --> 00:28:35,280 Speaker 1: Let it go right, that doesn't happen. 656 00:28:35,440 --> 00:28:37,679 Speaker 2: Yeah, that was almost the mercy knee. Ye, Like the 657 00:28:37,720 --> 00:28:41,360 Speaker 2: old Lions in nineteen ninety five, did do it when it. 658 00:28:41,320 --> 00:28:43,320 Speaker 1: Was stick to somebody else? 659 00:28:43,360 --> 00:28:45,040 Speaker 2: You know, you're playing video games that jp. 660 00:28:45,720 --> 00:28:49,240 Speaker 4: T something else. So all right, that's one. Yeah, what 661 00:28:49,240 --> 00:28:50,400 Speaker 4: about it, Pete, what do you think? 662 00:28:50,880 --> 00:28:55,240 Speaker 5: Well, the secondary has had a lot of bus and 663 00:28:56,320 --> 00:28:57,960 Speaker 5: you know it was when Campbell was here, he had 664 00:28:58,000 --> 00:28:59,520 Speaker 5: some boss when you. 665 00:28:59,400 --> 00:29:02,280 Speaker 2: Know, getting winger the last two weeks. 666 00:29:02,320 --> 00:29:05,280 Speaker 5: Look, you remember I I praised him early in the 667 00:29:05,320 --> 00:29:08,080 Speaker 5: season as one of the most improved players on the team. 668 00:29:08,280 --> 00:29:10,680 Speaker 2: Well, the last two weeks he's been one of the worst. 669 00:29:11,440 --> 00:29:14,120 Speaker 2: He doesn't right, he's limited, and so they got to 670 00:29:14,160 --> 00:29:16,480 Speaker 2: do a better job of hiding them. 671 00:29:16,640 --> 00:29:19,120 Speaker 5: You know, you look at these plays and this one, 672 00:29:20,080 --> 00:29:21,760 Speaker 5: that one was not a penalty, but that. 673 00:29:23,880 --> 00:29:26,200 Speaker 2: Was a trouble call. But we could we could show 674 00:29:26,960 --> 00:29:28,720 Speaker 2: his plays where the tight end ran by. 675 00:29:28,760 --> 00:29:31,800 Speaker 5: Him a couple of different times where I mean, he 676 00:29:31,800 --> 00:29:32,960 Speaker 5: can't allow that to happen. 677 00:29:33,600 --> 00:29:35,480 Speaker 1: I mean, look and for it, yeah, for him to 678 00:29:35,480 --> 00:29:37,080 Speaker 1: be wide open. That was another penalty. 679 00:29:37,360 --> 00:29:39,600 Speaker 6: But then there's another play where he gets kind of 680 00:29:39,680 --> 00:29:41,240 Speaker 6: brought up a little too much, thinks it's going to 681 00:29:41,240 --> 00:29:41,640 Speaker 6: be a run. 682 00:29:41,800 --> 00:29:43,360 Speaker 1: I mean, the tight end goes right by him in 683 00:29:43,360 --> 00:29:47,760 Speaker 1: the pass and he doesn't have happened the week before. 684 00:29:47,840 --> 00:29:50,640 Speaker 5: To remember, they got him in the week Seattle got 685 00:29:50,680 --> 00:29:52,280 Speaker 5: him with the tight end on the on the on 686 00:29:52,320 --> 00:29:56,120 Speaker 5: the over. So look, the bottom line is, we know 687 00:29:56,200 --> 00:29:59,280 Speaker 5: he's limited. That's it's just who he is. I mean, 688 00:29:59,320 --> 00:30:02,800 Speaker 5: he plays hall. He's a good player near the line 689 00:30:02,800 --> 00:30:05,040 Speaker 5: of scrimmage. He's a good blitzer when they blitz him. 690 00:30:05,040 --> 00:30:09,160 Speaker 5: He's a good solid run player. But he's limited athletically. 691 00:30:09,320 --> 00:30:12,680 Speaker 5: And when you're limited, that shows up and they attack him. 692 00:30:12,760 --> 00:30:15,080 Speaker 5: They've attacked him, Let's be real, that's what they've done. 693 00:30:15,120 --> 00:30:17,560 Speaker 5: They've isolated him and they've attacked him a little bit. 694 00:30:17,600 --> 00:30:20,640 Speaker 5: So I think that's one. 695 00:30:20,520 --> 00:30:22,160 Speaker 2: Of the bigger concerns on the back end. 696 00:30:22,520 --> 00:30:26,200 Speaker 5: And you know, where's Murray because Murray looked dinged up 697 00:30:26,240 --> 00:30:26,800 Speaker 5: in that game. 698 00:30:27,200 --> 00:30:29,040 Speaker 2: You know, he looked like he got a little dingdonite. 699 00:30:29,200 --> 00:30:32,400 Speaker 4: He was one that in the open media time today 700 00:30:32,520 --> 00:30:35,720 Speaker 4: was not out there either. So whatever that means would 701 00:30:35,720 --> 00:30:37,960 Speaker 4: add there will not be an official injury report today 702 00:30:38,000 --> 00:30:39,720 Speaker 4: that'll begin on Wednesday this week. 703 00:30:39,800 --> 00:30:43,600 Speaker 5: But there was Antonio Johnson in that spot. 704 00:30:43,800 --> 00:30:45,600 Speaker 1: He was out there today at least in the. 705 00:30:45,520 --> 00:30:48,280 Speaker 2: Open but he would be the one that would probably go. 706 00:30:48,240 --> 00:30:49,800 Speaker 1: Into the lineup, that's my guess. Yeah. 707 00:30:49,880 --> 00:30:53,680 Speaker 5: Yeah, See this goes back to preseason when they lost 708 00:30:53,960 --> 00:30:56,520 Speaker 5: the rookie because they thought he might be starting. 709 00:30:56,640 --> 00:30:56,880 Speaker 1: Killing. 710 00:30:57,760 --> 00:31:01,240 Speaker 5: Yeah, they thought Ransom might be starting, and you lose 711 00:31:01,320 --> 00:31:03,440 Speaker 5: him and then wingerd starts. 712 00:31:03,160 --> 00:31:06,400 Speaker 2: Out and plays well and then hadn't played as well. 713 00:31:06,440 --> 00:31:09,440 Speaker 5: And now with Murray, if Murray can't play, then you 714 00:31:09,520 --> 00:31:12,200 Speaker 5: got concerns there and Antonio Johnson has to go in. 715 00:31:12,360 --> 00:31:14,120 Speaker 2: So yeah, there's there's. 716 00:31:13,920 --> 00:31:16,600 Speaker 5: Concerns at that and Savage they said packing because he 717 00:31:16,680 --> 00:31:17,880 Speaker 5: was playing in concrete. 718 00:31:17,920 --> 00:31:19,720 Speaker 2: But that's a whole other issue, right. 719 00:31:20,480 --> 00:31:23,080 Speaker 4: Certainly on the defensive side, Devin Lloyd not in there 720 00:31:23,160 --> 00:31:25,400 Speaker 4: after the impact he had made early in the season. 721 00:31:25,520 --> 00:31:28,240 Speaker 4: That changed some things in the last couple of weeks. 722 00:31:28,240 --> 00:31:30,800 Speaker 4: And then we already talked about Treyvon Walker with the 723 00:31:30,800 --> 00:31:32,720 Speaker 4: one hand, Lloyd was off to the side in the 724 00:31:32,760 --> 00:31:36,360 Speaker 4: open media time today working with athletic trainers. I believe 725 00:31:36,360 --> 00:31:38,480 Speaker 4: Treyvon Walker was out there at the time we were there, 726 00:31:38,800 --> 00:31:41,720 Speaker 4: which is a good sign. But we'll see what happens 727 00:31:41,720 --> 00:31:44,520 Speaker 4: because with a calf injury, I mean that thing, you 728 00:31:44,680 --> 00:31:47,480 Speaker 4: just don't know and you can't take any chances with her. 729 00:31:47,560 --> 00:31:49,640 Speaker 6: Yeah, and they're definitely missing him too, because we want 730 00:31:49,640 --> 00:31:52,720 Speaker 6: to talk about interior pressure and everything, like they've been 731 00:31:52,800 --> 00:31:54,760 Speaker 6: diving up some great blitzes with Devin Lloyd. 732 00:31:55,160 --> 00:31:57,080 Speaker 1: You know, I've seen him around a couple of games. 733 00:31:57,280 --> 00:32:01,360 Speaker 6: He ran with Trayvon Walker, Trevon Walker got home and 734 00:32:01,440 --> 00:32:03,640 Speaker 6: that's what he does well, right, That's what this defense 735 00:32:03,640 --> 00:32:05,640 Speaker 6: has to be about. We just talked about Dewey and 736 00:32:05,680 --> 00:32:08,560 Speaker 6: everything playing on the back end, Like, you know, I 737 00:32:08,600 --> 00:32:10,600 Speaker 6: think what Dewey does well is he does well stack 738 00:32:10,640 --> 00:32:13,240 Speaker 6: in the box and playing physical, right, Like, That's that's 739 00:32:13,280 --> 00:32:16,120 Speaker 6: what he does. That's his game. What Devin Lloyd does 740 00:32:16,160 --> 00:32:18,080 Speaker 6: well is this guy's not afraid to blitz. He's not 741 00:32:18,120 --> 00:32:20,520 Speaker 6: afraid to show off some pass rush moves. And he's 742 00:32:20,520 --> 00:32:24,520 Speaker 6: done a commendable job in terms of pass coverage as well, 743 00:32:24,640 --> 00:32:26,040 Speaker 6: being in the right spot at the right time and 744 00:32:26,120 --> 00:32:28,520 Speaker 6: making good on those interceptions and everything. 745 00:32:28,640 --> 00:32:30,640 Speaker 1: Now, not thirty yards down the field, but he was 746 00:32:30,720 --> 00:32:34,680 Speaker 1: last year. That's the difference. Yeah, Yeah, exactly, he's been better. 747 00:32:34,760 --> 00:32:37,480 Speaker 5: He's been a better player this year that he's been, 748 00:32:37,720 --> 00:32:38,720 Speaker 5: no question about it. 749 00:32:39,200 --> 00:32:41,720 Speaker 2: But I'll say this, he still doesn't play the run. 750 00:32:41,560 --> 00:32:44,960 Speaker 5: As well as Miller's better against the run. I mean, 751 00:32:45,080 --> 00:32:49,640 Speaker 5: I think and even in the Chiefs game, Lloyd made 752 00:32:49,680 --> 00:32:52,800 Speaker 5: that play, but it wasn't a great game by him, you. 753 00:32:52,720 --> 00:32:56,160 Speaker 2: Know what I mean. But he's he's better than he was. 754 00:32:56,880 --> 00:32:58,640 Speaker 5: But I think we you know, I think people got 755 00:32:58,640 --> 00:33:00,840 Speaker 5: to slow the role on defensive played in the ear 756 00:33:00,840 --> 00:33:02,560 Speaker 5: and all that stuff was pace. 757 00:33:02,760 --> 00:33:05,600 Speaker 6: So Pete, the numbers are going to speak for themselves, Ryan, 758 00:33:05,800 --> 00:33:07,760 Speaker 6: like whether or not. Like, Okay, there's a bad throw 759 00:33:07,800 --> 00:33:08,560 Speaker 6: by the quarterback. 760 00:33:08,880 --> 00:33:10,560 Speaker 2: He's still he's been good. 761 00:33:10,640 --> 00:33:13,400 Speaker 5: But but you know, come on, Miles Garrett had five 762 00:33:13,440 --> 00:33:15,600 Speaker 5: sacks yesterday, winning Defensive Player of. 763 00:33:15,560 --> 00:33:19,040 Speaker 2: The Year over that guy. So I mean, but he's 764 00:33:19,080 --> 00:33:19,560 Speaker 2: been good. 765 00:33:19,680 --> 00:33:21,840 Speaker 5: He's been better, but he's still not great to get 766 00:33:21,880 --> 00:33:23,280 Speaker 5: He's still not a great run player. 767 00:33:23,600 --> 00:33:25,280 Speaker 2: He's you know, he's a. 768 00:33:26,200 --> 00:33:28,600 Speaker 5: Benro Miller played the run good the other day when 769 00:33:28,640 --> 00:33:32,480 Speaker 5: he played he played the run well, I thought, And 770 00:33:32,480 --> 00:33:34,320 Speaker 5: and they you know, if they had a comblo of 771 00:33:34,400 --> 00:33:37,640 Speaker 5: the two of them, the hell of a flair, right, 772 00:33:38,040 --> 00:33:41,360 Speaker 5: you could get Devin Lloyd and ventrom Miller together, Boy, 773 00:33:41,840 --> 00:33:43,560 Speaker 5: that would be a run thumper and a guy who 774 00:33:43,600 --> 00:33:46,040 Speaker 5: could call you know, run and chase and blitz. That 775 00:33:46,120 --> 00:33:48,160 Speaker 5: would be a perfect linebacker, but that's not who they are. 776 00:33:48,240 --> 00:33:49,320 Speaker 1: Could build a player. 777 00:33:52,200 --> 00:33:52,720 Speaker 2: Him there. 778 00:33:53,240 --> 00:33:56,200 Speaker 5: I don't think not having Devin Lloyd in there hurts 779 00:33:56,280 --> 00:33:59,120 Speaker 5: him as much as having a club on Trayvon Walker's arm. 780 00:33:59,160 --> 00:34:02,000 Speaker 4: Okay, the one armed the one armed defensive end. That's 781 00:34:02,000 --> 00:34:02,479 Speaker 4: a tough one. 782 00:34:02,560 --> 00:34:04,440 Speaker 2: H he's a shell of himself. 783 00:34:04,840 --> 00:34:07,880 Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's you. You have one hand. I mean, 784 00:34:07,880 --> 00:34:08,840 Speaker 1: you do one hand with anything. 785 00:34:09,000 --> 00:34:12,120 Speaker 6: It can be difficult, especially play in a professional football game. 786 00:34:12,400 --> 00:34:15,080 Speaker 5: You know, and you play you played in so talk 787 00:34:15,160 --> 00:34:16,520 Speaker 5: us through what what's that mean? 788 00:34:16,560 --> 00:34:17,399 Speaker 2: Where you have one here? 789 00:34:17,520 --> 00:34:19,240 Speaker 1: So the only time I've had to use a club 790 00:34:19,480 --> 00:34:20,080 Speaker 1: was in college. 791 00:34:20,200 --> 00:34:22,480 Speaker 6: That was my sophomore year, had some tendon issues in 792 00:34:22,520 --> 00:34:24,320 Speaker 6: my thumb, had a club it up and everything. 793 00:34:24,360 --> 00:34:26,520 Speaker 1: And yeah, I mean you're you're essentially you're a. 794 00:34:26,440 --> 00:34:28,680 Speaker 6: Shell of yourself because it's so ingrained in you as 795 00:34:28,719 --> 00:34:33,799 Speaker 6: a defensive lineman, hand placement, hand violence, ripping, shedding, all 796 00:34:33,840 --> 00:34:34,400 Speaker 6: this stuff. 797 00:34:34,880 --> 00:34:37,360 Speaker 1: When you put a club on, that goes out the window. 798 00:34:37,480 --> 00:34:39,880 Speaker 6: So it's almost like you're learning how to play the 799 00:34:39,880 --> 00:34:43,399 Speaker 6: position over again what you've been ingrained in yourself since 800 00:34:43,440 --> 00:34:46,160 Speaker 6: you're in Pop Warner, Like you learn how to like 801 00:34:46,239 --> 00:34:49,680 Speaker 6: walk again basically, So yeah, it's it's obviously I think 802 00:34:49,719 --> 00:34:52,560 Speaker 6: it's hampering him a little bit. I was optimistic because 803 00:34:53,080 --> 00:34:55,239 Speaker 6: he does possess power, and when you have when you're 804 00:34:55,280 --> 00:34:57,200 Speaker 6: a power rusher, I feel like the club can be 805 00:34:57,239 --> 00:34:59,719 Speaker 6: a little beneficial as opposed to like working all these 806 00:34:59,719 --> 00:35:02,520 Speaker 6: different kind of moves and everything. But you are seeing 807 00:35:02,640 --> 00:35:04,759 Speaker 6: like he's he's not the same type of player at 808 00:35:04,800 --> 00:35:05,440 Speaker 6: that club. 809 00:35:05,160 --> 00:35:07,040 Speaker 2: On yeah and back. 810 00:35:07,120 --> 00:35:09,239 Speaker 5: You know, twenty years, twenty five, thirty years ago, he 811 00:35:09,280 --> 00:35:11,000 Speaker 5: would have been able to use that club to hit 812 00:35:11,040 --> 00:35:13,200 Speaker 5: somebody across the head and get in rushed to pass. 813 00:35:13,200 --> 00:35:15,560 Speaker 2: So you can't do that anymore either. But you know, 814 00:35:15,680 --> 00:35:18,360 Speaker 2: like he looped on one play and still got a little. 815 00:35:18,160 --> 00:35:21,040 Speaker 5: Power, and you show you saw his power. But once 816 00:35:21,080 --> 00:35:23,960 Speaker 5: he got there with the power, normally he'd be able 817 00:35:24,000 --> 00:35:26,040 Speaker 5: to get a guy off of him. But he doesn't 818 00:35:26,080 --> 00:35:28,400 Speaker 5: have that hand to do it, and so that's a problem. 819 00:35:28,480 --> 00:35:30,080 Speaker 6: Well, and I think a question you could ask then 820 00:35:30,200 --> 00:35:32,640 Speaker 6: if he's having trouble on the edge of generating a 821 00:35:32,640 --> 00:35:33,959 Speaker 6: pass rush move to get home. 822 00:35:34,560 --> 00:35:35,360 Speaker 1: I always felt like. 823 00:35:35,360 --> 00:35:37,720 Speaker 6: Guys with clubs they did it a lot better playing 824 00:35:37,719 --> 00:35:40,360 Speaker 6: a three technique or nose. Just the action happens that 825 00:35:40,440 --> 00:35:43,160 Speaker 6: much quicker, you can get around a little easier as 826 00:35:43,160 --> 00:35:45,320 Speaker 6: opposed to a three step drop where it's one thousand 827 00:35:45,320 --> 00:35:47,319 Speaker 6: and one, one thousand and two, one thousand. Okay, pass 828 00:35:47,400 --> 00:35:50,720 Speaker 6: rush move when you're playing defensive tackle, it happens quicker. 829 00:35:51,160 --> 00:35:55,800 Speaker 6: So could you in theory use his speed, use his athleticism. 830 00:35:56,120 --> 00:35:57,920 Speaker 6: Hopefully he can turn his hips around and just you know, 831 00:35:57,960 --> 00:35:59,920 Speaker 6: hit a rip move or something and then get after 832 00:36:00,080 --> 00:36:03,400 Speaker 6: the quarterback because I feel like, go ahead, Yeah, we. 833 00:36:03,680 --> 00:36:06,400 Speaker 5: Thought he could play inside there on certain downs anyways, 834 00:36:06,400 --> 00:36:08,680 Speaker 5: and he's big enough, he's powerful enough, he could do that. 835 00:36:08,760 --> 00:36:11,719 Speaker 2: I'm not against that. I think you're onto something. You 836 00:36:11,760 --> 00:36:13,600 Speaker 2: gotta get him on the field because he's one of 837 00:36:13,640 --> 00:36:15,760 Speaker 2: the few guys that can push the pocket. 838 00:36:16,280 --> 00:36:19,759 Speaker 4: Right elite player club if you put him in the 839 00:36:19,800 --> 00:36:22,480 Speaker 4: right spot. Let's get some special team thoughts as we're 856 00:37:19,360 --> 00:37:22,080 Speaker 4: going through kind of each each side of the football here. 857 00:37:22,120 --> 00:37:24,320 Speaker 4: Coming out of the bye week, Self Scout the Happy 858 00:37:24,360 --> 00:37:29,759 Speaker 4: Hour Self Scout Edition field goal kicking. Another miss in 859 00:37:29,840 --> 00:37:32,760 Speaker 4: London for Cam Little is fourth miss of the season. 860 00:37:32,800 --> 00:37:35,200 Speaker 4: I think that's tied for the second most of any 861 00:37:35,280 --> 00:37:38,360 Speaker 4: kicker in the NFL. They said they're not bringing anybody 862 00:37:38,400 --> 00:37:40,759 Speaker 4: in to compete. They're gonna go with Cam. That's what 863 00:37:40,840 --> 00:37:41,440 Speaker 4: it is, Pete. 864 00:37:41,480 --> 00:37:45,080 Speaker 2: But just miss this week, and I guarantee you they're 865 00:37:45,080 --> 00:37:45,880 Speaker 2: bringing somebody here. 866 00:37:45,920 --> 00:37:46,600 Speaker 1: I think, so huh. 867 00:37:46,600 --> 00:37:48,759 Speaker 4: I know your mantra with kickers all the time is 868 00:37:48,960 --> 00:37:50,360 Speaker 4: just make your damn kicks. 869 00:37:50,160 --> 00:37:55,400 Speaker 5: Right, But I get I get why you're reluctant to 870 00:37:55,600 --> 00:37:56,480 Speaker 5: make a change. 871 00:37:56,840 --> 00:37:59,759 Speaker 2: The kid has an enormous leg, and so you see 872 00:37:59,760 --> 00:38:00,520 Speaker 2: the potential there. 873 00:38:00,560 --> 00:38:02,600 Speaker 5: And by the way, we've seen this play out all 874 00:38:02,640 --> 00:38:03,799 Speaker 5: across the league. 875 00:38:03,640 --> 00:38:04,720 Speaker 2: Over the course of history. 876 00:38:05,080 --> 00:38:06,919 Speaker 5: A guy has a big leg, This is a couple 877 00:38:06,960 --> 00:38:09,120 Speaker 5: of kicks, team sends a packing. Next thing, you know, 878 00:38:09,200 --> 00:38:11,640 Speaker 5: he ends up on another team and he's a good kicker. 879 00:38:12,040 --> 00:38:13,719 Speaker 5: I mean, Jason. 880 00:38:13,360 --> 00:38:16,000 Speaker 1: Myers say the same thing, absolutely. 881 00:38:16,760 --> 00:38:19,359 Speaker 5: And remember when Lambeau came from the Chargers. He had 882 00:38:19,360 --> 00:38:21,200 Speaker 5: a good year for Jacksonville that one year and he 883 00:38:21,280 --> 00:38:22,200 Speaker 5: was going bad in. 884 00:38:23,719 --> 00:38:27,160 Speaker 2: With the Chargers. So it's happened before, so you're reluctant 885 00:38:27,200 --> 00:38:27,600 Speaker 2: to do it. 886 00:38:28,160 --> 00:38:31,040 Speaker 5: But you go to Vegas this week and he yanks 887 00:38:31,040 --> 00:38:34,360 Speaker 5: an extra point or misses a field goal, then I 888 00:38:34,360 --> 00:38:35,759 Speaker 5: think you got to bring somebody in. 889 00:38:36,440 --> 00:38:38,640 Speaker 2: And I think he you know, And we talked about this. 890 00:38:38,640 --> 00:38:43,279 Speaker 5: Last week Austin about how the seventy yard field. 891 00:38:43,000 --> 00:38:45,800 Speaker 2: Goal might have been the curse and the blessing. 892 00:38:46,400 --> 00:38:49,439 Speaker 5: It's great he made one, didn't count, didn't count at all, 893 00:38:50,000 --> 00:38:53,240 Speaker 5: but he got the ball in Canton. But now everybody 894 00:38:53,280 --> 00:38:55,359 Speaker 5: automatically assumes he's going out there to the bang home 895 00:38:55,560 --> 00:38:58,560 Speaker 5: sixty yarders. Fifty five yards with regularity and he's not 896 00:38:58,640 --> 00:39:01,919 Speaker 5: doing it. So I think this is a big week 897 00:39:01,960 --> 00:39:04,200 Speaker 5: for one Cam Little. And by the way you talk 898 00:39:04,239 --> 00:39:07,320 Speaker 5: special teams, the punter had been very good either. 899 00:39:07,880 --> 00:39:11,840 Speaker 4: Yeah, he's usually a little more you know, accurate down 900 00:39:12,080 --> 00:39:14,640 Speaker 4: getting him inside the ten yard line and that hasn't happened. 901 00:39:14,440 --> 00:39:19,240 Speaker 1: A lot, so, you know, without a doubt. 902 00:39:19,280 --> 00:39:22,600 Speaker 6: So with Cam Little, I am a little surprised that 903 00:39:22,680 --> 00:39:26,160 Speaker 6: they didn't bring somebody just for competition, right, because if 904 00:39:26,160 --> 00:39:28,960 Speaker 6: you go to that Rams game when it's fourth and seven, 905 00:39:29,640 --> 00:39:31,439 Speaker 6: they had an opportunity to get points with the field 906 00:39:31,480 --> 00:39:35,200 Speaker 6: goal and they opted to go for it. Now, you know, 907 00:39:35,280 --> 00:39:36,920 Speaker 6: Liam Cogan said that was always the plan to go 908 00:39:37,000 --> 00:39:38,520 Speaker 6: for it with Trevor, but I don't think that was 909 00:39:38,560 --> 00:39:40,520 Speaker 6: the case. I think you had a kicker right now 910 00:39:40,520 --> 00:39:42,839 Speaker 6: who isn't very confident and you're trying to make up 911 00:39:42,880 --> 00:39:45,480 Speaker 6: for it, and you're trying to do him a service 912 00:39:45,520 --> 00:39:47,719 Speaker 6: by not putting him back out there when he's not confident, right, 913 00:39:47,719 --> 00:39:49,759 Speaker 6: because if you keep on kicking and it keeps going bad, 914 00:39:50,080 --> 00:39:53,359 Speaker 6: you just dig yourself deeper and deeper. At some point, though, 915 00:39:53,400 --> 00:39:54,880 Speaker 6: he has to get out of it, and at some 916 00:39:54,960 --> 00:39:58,279 Speaker 6: point you're not going to be able to rely on 917 00:39:58,320 --> 00:40:00,960 Speaker 6: your offense to convert first down because let's be honest, 918 00:40:00,960 --> 00:40:03,319 Speaker 6: that doesn't look great right now. So if you have 919 00:40:03,400 --> 00:40:04,840 Speaker 6: to get points and you're gonna be playing it in 920 00:40:04,840 --> 00:40:06,920 Speaker 6: close games like say the Raiders, or say that the 921 00:40:07,000 --> 00:40:08,840 Speaker 6: Charters coming a town a couple weeks, that'll be a 922 00:40:08,880 --> 00:40:09,319 Speaker 6: huge game. 923 00:40:09,440 --> 00:40:12,160 Speaker 1: Yeah, it may be a three point game. 924 00:40:12,480 --> 00:40:15,880 Speaker 6: You can't revolve your offense and your philosophy around Well, 925 00:40:16,320 --> 00:40:18,440 Speaker 6: let's just make sure Cam Little is confident enough now 926 00:40:18,520 --> 00:40:20,560 Speaker 6: that he can make this right, Like, let's help him out. 927 00:40:20,600 --> 00:40:23,239 Speaker 6: Like you can't have a football team like that, Like 928 00:40:23,360 --> 00:40:25,000 Speaker 6: you have a job to do. You have to make 929 00:40:25,040 --> 00:40:27,520 Speaker 6: your kicks and either you can make them or you can't. 930 00:40:27,520 --> 00:40:30,279 Speaker 6: But I'm not opposed to bring a competition in because 931 00:40:30,280 --> 00:40:32,920 Speaker 6: I think James Gladstone said it like every week's in 932 00:40:33,000 --> 00:40:35,920 Speaker 6: evaluation and if someone doesn't fit this scheme, if someone's 933 00:40:35,960 --> 00:40:39,239 Speaker 6: not up to the standard, they'll bring somebody else in. 934 00:40:39,560 --> 00:40:42,400 Speaker 6: So why Cam Little got a pass? Maybe because he 935 00:40:42,400 --> 00:40:44,160 Speaker 6: had a seventy yarder and they're like, Okay, let's let's 936 00:40:44,200 --> 00:40:46,000 Speaker 6: invest in this guy a little more. That might be 937 00:40:46,080 --> 00:40:49,000 Speaker 6: the case, but at some point you gotta go hey, 938 00:40:49,120 --> 00:40:50,279 Speaker 6: let's have a competition here. 939 00:40:51,920 --> 00:40:54,640 Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm with you, femises this week it is there's 940 00:40:54,680 --> 00:40:57,440 Speaker 5: no doubt that they have to bring somebody in next week. 941 00:40:57,920 --> 00:40:59,919 Speaker 5: But here's the other part of it. Not like good 942 00:41:00,080 --> 00:41:01,239 Speaker 5: kickers are just sitting out there. 943 00:41:02,040 --> 00:41:03,839 Speaker 2: It's at least they say that. 944 00:41:04,000 --> 00:41:06,440 Speaker 5: And I'm a big believer. You can find kickers. You 945 00:41:06,440 --> 00:41:08,879 Speaker 5: can find them, you know, and just hope you get 946 00:41:08,880 --> 00:41:10,920 Speaker 5: one that gets hot. You know what I mean, You 947 00:41:10,960 --> 00:41:12,400 Speaker 5: just hope you get one that gets hot. 948 00:41:12,800 --> 00:41:14,960 Speaker 2: JP. Did you look up the putting stats because his 949 00:41:15,120 --> 00:41:15,920 Speaker 2: numbers are down too. 950 00:41:16,000 --> 00:41:16,160 Speaker 1: Yeah. 951 00:41:16,200 --> 00:41:19,520 Speaker 4: Logan Cook gross average this year is forty eight yards, 952 00:41:19,520 --> 00:41:22,080 Speaker 4: so that's fourteenth best in the league. He's seventh in 953 00:41:22,200 --> 00:41:25,440 Speaker 4: net average right now at forty three point three, and 954 00:41:25,480 --> 00:41:27,440 Speaker 4: he already has four touchbacks this year. There was a 955 00:41:27,520 --> 00:41:30,560 Speaker 4: year where he had like one the whole season, so 956 00:41:30,760 --> 00:41:33,000 Speaker 4: there's some of that. And the and the gross are 957 00:41:33,000 --> 00:41:35,920 Speaker 4: both down from his because he's usually right there at 958 00:41:35,920 --> 00:41:36,200 Speaker 4: the time. 959 00:41:36,320 --> 00:41:39,360 Speaker 5: Deep snapper deep snapper has had some issues at times. 960 00:41:39,520 --> 00:41:40,399 Speaker 2: He hadn't been as good. 961 00:41:40,760 --> 00:41:42,200 Speaker 5: They all went to did they all go to the 962 00:41:42,200 --> 00:41:43,840 Speaker 5: Pro Bowl? 963 00:41:42,840 --> 00:41:44,480 Speaker 2: There's a couple. 964 00:41:44,520 --> 00:41:47,160 Speaker 4: I mean, there's like jerseys down there from all pro 965 00:41:47,280 --> 00:41:50,239 Speaker 4: stuff for the long snapper too, So yeah, yes, yeah, 966 00:41:50,239 --> 00:41:50,719 Speaker 4: there's that. 967 00:41:50,840 --> 00:41:52,640 Speaker 2: Those guys all got to be better. And here's the 968 00:41:52,640 --> 00:41:54,560 Speaker 2: weird thing about it. We talked about this last week. 969 00:41:54,880 --> 00:41:59,440 Speaker 2: It's the same special teams coach. Yes, so you know 970 00:41:59,480 --> 00:42:00,239 Speaker 2: what's going on on. 971 00:42:00,760 --> 00:42:03,239 Speaker 5: The one bright special teams thing that I think has 972 00:42:03,280 --> 00:42:06,759 Speaker 5: happened is is Parker Washington's return. I mean, have one 973 00:42:06,800 --> 00:42:09,160 Speaker 5: called back that's never been called that should have never 974 00:42:09,200 --> 00:42:10,160 Speaker 5: been a block in the back. 975 00:42:10,080 --> 00:42:12,479 Speaker 1: Whole block in the back. Sorry, yeah, yeah, yeah, yea. 976 00:42:12,400 --> 00:42:14,560 Speaker 2: Yeah, it should have never been. He barely even blew 977 00:42:14,600 --> 00:42:16,640 Speaker 2: on him and they should have let that go. 978 00:42:17,239 --> 00:42:21,040 Speaker 5: And and uh, he's been good. But that that's about 979 00:42:21,080 --> 00:42:22,320 Speaker 5: it though, right. 980 00:42:22,200 --> 00:42:24,040 Speaker 2: I mean, what what else are you getting? The special 981 00:42:24,080 --> 00:42:25,719 Speaker 2: teams have not been what you thought they would be. 982 00:42:25,719 --> 00:42:28,080 Speaker 2: You thought that'd be a strength kickoff team. 983 00:42:28,160 --> 00:42:29,840 Speaker 1: You haven't. It doesn't really stick out to you in 984 00:42:29,920 --> 00:42:32,960 Speaker 1: terms of, you know, pitting a team in the thirty 985 00:42:33,000 --> 00:42:35,680 Speaker 1: or twenty five usually coming out. So yeah, I agree 986 00:42:36,120 --> 00:42:37,040 Speaker 1: much teams have been down. 987 00:42:38,000 --> 00:42:41,400 Speaker 5: And and the return game of kickoff return, what's what's 988 00:42:41,560 --> 00:42:44,319 Speaker 5: uh what's his returns in the kickoff game. 989 00:42:44,680 --> 00:42:47,200 Speaker 2: He's had a couple of good ones, hasn't he Parker? 990 00:42:47,760 --> 00:42:51,040 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, he's been really like he's. 991 00:42:50,960 --> 00:42:53,160 Speaker 5: Here's what I can't figure out, though, Why did they 992 00:42:53,280 --> 00:42:57,520 Speaker 5: change that? Didn't they change the returners in the last game? 993 00:42:59,160 --> 00:43:02,160 Speaker 4: Well remember earlier in the year, it was it was 994 00:43:02,280 --> 00:43:04,400 Speaker 4: a tank, big B, Yeah, big. 995 00:43:04,239 --> 00:43:07,320 Speaker 5: B and somebody else because you have two back there. Yeah, 996 00:43:07,360 --> 00:43:09,959 Speaker 5: but then the who had the return kickoff return? 997 00:43:10,160 --> 00:43:14,319 Speaker 4: They put Brown and London that's right, correct, Yeah, and 998 00:43:14,360 --> 00:43:15,120 Speaker 4: he actually had a. 999 00:43:15,120 --> 00:43:16,480 Speaker 1: Couple of returns on kickoffs. 1000 00:43:16,520 --> 00:43:18,719 Speaker 5: It was all right, it was, but who wasn't it 1001 00:43:18,719 --> 00:43:20,879 Speaker 5: was Theammy Brown and who? Because look at the if 1002 00:43:20,880 --> 00:43:22,680 Speaker 5: you have the stash sheet there, who who returned to 1003 00:43:22,719 --> 00:43:25,200 Speaker 5: kick because it wasn't just him it was they changed them. 1004 00:43:25,520 --> 00:43:28,479 Speaker 4: Yeah, I know Diami had a couple of decently long ones. 1005 00:43:28,560 --> 00:43:30,960 Speaker 1: I remember that. I'll find it, I'll find it. 1006 00:43:31,160 --> 00:43:31,440 Speaker 2: Yeah. 1007 00:43:31,520 --> 00:43:35,040 Speaker 5: But again, these teams have started using running backs as 1008 00:43:35,120 --> 00:43:38,799 Speaker 5: return man because they think the play looks more like 1009 00:43:38,840 --> 00:43:40,560 Speaker 5: a running play than a kickoff return. 1010 00:43:41,160 --> 00:43:45,960 Speaker 2: I hate that. I hate it. I don't think running. 1011 00:43:45,640 --> 00:43:49,680 Speaker 5: Backs have a natural feel for being returners, and a 1012 00:43:49,760 --> 00:43:52,839 Speaker 5: running back by popped through the majority of the time, 1013 00:43:52,920 --> 00:43:54,320 Speaker 5: the running back's not going to rip. 1014 00:43:54,200 --> 00:43:55,480 Speaker 2: It for a long return. 1015 00:43:55,719 --> 00:43:57,279 Speaker 5: You know what I mean, he's gonna pop through and 1016 00:43:57,280 --> 00:44:00,000 Speaker 5: give you twenty five, ain't popping it and give you seven. 1017 00:44:01,040 --> 00:44:03,080 Speaker 5: So I'm a big believer in these teams. Got to 1018 00:44:03,120 --> 00:44:04,800 Speaker 5: get away from the running back as return. 1019 00:44:04,880 --> 00:44:09,719 Speaker 4: Then well we'll see what happens moving ahead. And maybe 1020 00:44:09,719 --> 00:44:12,120 Speaker 4: that's another self scout after the bye week, we'll see 1021 00:44:12,120 --> 00:44:14,359 Speaker 4: what they throw out there in Las Vegas this week. 1022 00:44:14,480 --> 00:44:17,520 Speaker 4: Let's take a look at the AFC South standings after 1023 00:44:17,680 --> 00:44:22,759 Speaker 4: yesterday's action. Now, the Jaguars, all right, they are still 1024 00:44:22,760 --> 00:44:25,640 Speaker 4: in second. But Indy at seven and one, two and 1025 00:44:25,760 --> 00:44:28,640 Speaker 4: zero in the division, they haven't lost in the conference yet. 1026 00:44:29,040 --> 00:44:33,279 Speaker 4: It's a runaway train and Indiana Jones is leading the way, just. 1027 00:44:33,239 --> 00:44:36,120 Speaker 6: Like everybody predicted. I'll say this about Indianapolis. I feel 1028 00:44:36,160 --> 00:44:38,640 Speaker 6: like week by week everyone wants to say, okay, well 1029 00:44:38,760 --> 00:44:41,080 Speaker 6: wait till they play the Chargers. Well, they played the 1030 00:44:41,160 --> 00:44:44,040 Speaker 6: Chargers and they curb stopped the Chargers right like that. 1031 00:44:44,239 --> 00:44:45,719 Speaker 6: There's going to be a point where you have to 1032 00:44:45,719 --> 00:44:47,799 Speaker 6: give your flowers and your props to the Colts and 1033 00:44:47,840 --> 00:44:50,080 Speaker 6: say they're a solid team. And I think when you 1034 00:44:50,160 --> 00:44:53,040 Speaker 6: have arguably the best running back in the NFL right now, 1035 00:44:53,080 --> 00:44:56,480 Speaker 6: an offensive line that's playing very well, a rookie tight 1036 00:44:56,600 --> 00:44:59,760 Speaker 6: end that is a mismatched nightmare, and some wide receivers 1037 00:44:59,760 --> 00:45:01,440 Speaker 6: that are think are a little underrated in terms of 1038 00:45:01,480 --> 00:45:05,520 Speaker 6: their capabilities, and a competent quarterback that can lead them. 1039 00:45:06,120 --> 00:45:07,239 Speaker 1: They have the makings to be. 1040 00:45:07,440 --> 00:45:07,680 Speaker 2: Uh. 1041 00:45:07,719 --> 00:45:09,960 Speaker 6: I think a pretty dang solid team that can make 1042 00:45:10,000 --> 00:45:12,960 Speaker 6: a run. And I think it's telling if you take 1043 00:45:12,960 --> 00:45:16,440 Speaker 6: that Titans game on Sunday. They're supposed to beat the Titans, 1044 00:45:16,480 --> 00:45:18,840 Speaker 6: like I'm sure Vegas had that what you know, supposed 1045 00:45:18,840 --> 00:45:19,120 Speaker 6: to beat the. 1046 00:45:19,120 --> 00:45:22,600 Speaker 1: Titans, but they blew out the Titans. And that's what 1047 00:45:22,680 --> 00:45:24,239 Speaker 1: a good football team does. Like that. 1048 00:45:24,320 --> 00:45:27,040 Speaker 6: There's so much parody in the NFL where sometimes you 1049 00:45:27,080 --> 00:45:29,080 Speaker 6: play a team that you're supposed to crush and it's 1050 00:45:29,120 --> 00:45:30,000 Speaker 6: a competitive game. 1051 00:45:30,400 --> 00:45:32,680 Speaker 1: The Colts haven't really had that, like the teams that 1052 00:45:32,680 --> 00:45:33,440 Speaker 1: they're supposed to be. 1053 00:45:33,760 --> 00:45:35,680 Speaker 2: The Cardinals game is the one they had, remember. 1054 00:45:35,440 --> 00:45:36,840 Speaker 6: But yeah, but also I think that I think the 1055 00:45:36,880 --> 00:45:39,800 Speaker 6: Arizona Cardinals is like they're they're a tough, physical team, 1056 00:45:39,960 --> 00:45:42,359 Speaker 6: like on paper, they don't necessarily. 1057 00:45:42,680 --> 00:45:44,120 Speaker 2: Murray in that game. It wasset. 1058 00:45:44,320 --> 00:45:46,440 Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, the backup court, you should blow them out 1059 00:45:46,480 --> 00:45:48,279 Speaker 5: and they ended up being in a game. But you're right, 1060 00:45:48,560 --> 00:45:51,200 Speaker 5: normally they've been blowing. They blow the bad teams out. 1061 00:45:51,360 --> 00:45:53,719 Speaker 1: Yeah, And to be fair, that that Rams game. 1062 00:45:53,760 --> 00:45:56,160 Speaker 6: I'm sure Colts fans think about that Rams game like 1063 00:45:56,160 --> 00:45:58,680 Speaker 6: the Jaguars think about the the Bengals game. Like the 1064 00:45:58,719 --> 00:46:01,560 Speaker 6: Colts should have won that MS game. To set aside 1065 00:46:01,600 --> 00:46:04,319 Speaker 6: for Mitchell, you know, having the two bonehead plays, but 1066 00:46:04,640 --> 00:46:06,000 Speaker 6: the colt should be undefeated right now. 1067 00:46:06,000 --> 00:46:08,239 Speaker 4: I mean, the yeah, score two touchdowns in the last 1068 00:46:08,280 --> 00:46:08,719 Speaker 4: four minute. 1069 00:46:08,800 --> 00:46:13,040 Speaker 5: Remember on the field goal that was they called for leaping, 1070 00:46:13,160 --> 00:46:13,560 Speaker 5: so you can. 1071 00:46:15,200 --> 00:46:17,400 Speaker 2: But they beat up on a lot of bad teams. 1072 00:46:17,440 --> 00:46:20,760 Speaker 5: But to your point, though, Austin, they beat that daylights 1073 00:46:20,760 --> 00:46:24,160 Speaker 5: out of those bad teams. They score and you know 1074 00:46:24,360 --> 00:46:25,880 Speaker 5: when you score a lot of points, you know what 1075 00:46:25,920 --> 00:46:29,279 Speaker 5: that does. It makes your pass rushers better. It makes 1076 00:46:29,320 --> 00:46:32,840 Speaker 5: your pass rush better. I mean they're getting after the quarterback. 1077 00:46:33,000 --> 00:46:36,320 Speaker 5: You know, Buckner on the interior has been good rushing 1078 00:46:36,400 --> 00:46:36,960 Speaker 5: the quarterback. 1079 00:46:37,040 --> 00:46:40,120 Speaker 2: The edge guys are good and you can cover. 1080 00:46:40,080 --> 00:46:41,719 Speaker 5: Up some things on the back end when you can 1081 00:46:41,800 --> 00:46:43,879 Speaker 5: do that. So playing with the leads important. They're gonna 1082 00:46:43,880 --> 00:46:46,760 Speaker 5: be a tough team to beat. The Texans look good 1083 00:46:47,160 --> 00:46:50,919 Speaker 5: on Sunday against the forty nine ers. We know they're 1084 00:46:50,920 --> 00:46:52,800 Speaker 5: good defensively. No matter who they play, they're gonna be 1085 00:46:52,800 --> 00:46:56,480 Speaker 5: good defensively. But they got the offense going without Nico 1086 00:46:56,520 --> 00:46:58,160 Speaker 5: Collins against the forty nine ers and. 1087 00:46:58,280 --> 00:47:01,359 Speaker 4: The Jags get them in two weeks as well. Coming 1088 00:47:01,440 --> 00:47:04,200 Speaker 4: up on the road down in Houston, one hour down, 1089 00:47:04,440 --> 00:47:07,399 Speaker 4: one hour to go. We've got fan questions, keeping it real, 1090 00:47:07,520 --> 00:47:09,879 Speaker 4: we'll go around the league. All that set to come 1091 00:47:09,960 --> 00:47:13,120 Speaker 4: up in hour number two. This is Jaguars Happy Hour 1092 00:47:13,239 --> 00:47:14,960 Speaker 4: presented by Jet Home Loans. 1093 00:47:32,880 --> 00:47:37,960 Speaker 7: There's an openness now to learn and grow from the mistake, 1094 00:47:38,040 --> 00:47:42,560 Speaker 7: and everybody can learn from that mistake. You're not correcting 1095 00:47:42,640 --> 00:47:46,480 Speaker 7: the player, you're correcting the play, and ultimately everybody can 1096 00:47:46,560 --> 00:47:49,719 Speaker 7: learn something from that. And then I thought Sean did 1097 00:47:49,719 --> 00:47:51,880 Speaker 7: a nice job of it as well when I was 1098 00:47:51,920 --> 00:47:54,880 Speaker 7: in LA in terms of like, yeah, there's a standard 1099 00:47:54,880 --> 00:47:57,880 Speaker 7: of execution that we hold and that we have and 1100 00:47:58,000 --> 00:48:02,440 Speaker 7: that everybody is hell two and we're no different as 1101 00:48:02,520 --> 00:48:05,239 Speaker 7: coaches and so we I just think that when you 1102 00:48:05,239 --> 00:48:08,279 Speaker 7: can put a little bit on yourself and show like 1103 00:48:08,360 --> 00:48:10,040 Speaker 7: guys like I got to you know, this isn't good 1104 00:48:10,120 --> 00:48:13,640 Speaker 7: enough by me either, it continues to hold each other 1105 00:48:13,680 --> 00:48:15,520 Speaker 7: accountable welcome back. 1106 00:48:15,560 --> 00:48:18,319 Speaker 4: It is our number two of Jaguars Happy Hour. Of course, 1107 00:48:18,360 --> 00:48:21,279 Speaker 4: that said coach Liam Cohen, and our second hour is 1108 00:48:21,320 --> 00:48:25,640 Speaker 4: presented by mister Chubby's Wings before the game, after the game, 1109 00:48:25,800 --> 00:48:28,799 Speaker 4: and during the game. We're on ten TENEXL Jaguars dot 1110 00:48:28,840 --> 00:48:32,600 Speaker 4: Com Jaguars YouTube. Coming off the bye week JP Shadwrick 1111 00:48:32,640 --> 00:48:34,960 Speaker 4: with you. Here's the opening drive for Hour two, presented 1112 00:48:34,960 --> 00:48:38,239 Speaker 4: by Target zero. Let's get everyone home safely. Of course, 1113 00:48:38,320 --> 00:48:41,720 Speaker 4: the Jags coming off the buye. The Jaguars now currently 1114 00:48:41,760 --> 00:48:44,640 Speaker 4: the seventh seed in the AFC playoffs. If they started 1115 00:48:44,719 --> 00:48:46,560 Speaker 4: right now, it's before Monday Night football. 1116 00:48:46,600 --> 00:48:47,520 Speaker 1: The Chiefs play tonight. 1117 00:48:47,560 --> 00:48:50,279 Speaker 4: Looking inward at the bye week, that's what Liam Cohen 1118 00:48:50,360 --> 00:48:53,160 Speaker 4: was talking about there. The Jaguars are among the league 1119 00:48:53,200 --> 00:48:58,040 Speaker 4: leaders in penalties and drops on offense and offensively the 1120 00:48:58,120 --> 00:49:00,520 Speaker 4: approach for Lawrence and the offense. Moving in ahead, we'll 1121 00:49:00,520 --> 00:49:03,120 Speaker 4: get into that again coming up shortly. Can the Jags 1122 00:49:03,160 --> 00:49:06,680 Speaker 4: defense get to the quarterback and can they get back 1123 00:49:06,719 --> 00:49:10,640 Speaker 4: to taking the football away? Travis Hunter usage could be 1124 00:49:10,719 --> 00:49:13,720 Speaker 4: going up down the stretch on both sides of the football, 1125 00:49:13,760 --> 00:49:16,600 Speaker 4: and the stretch tron is year ten games to go 1126 00:49:16,719 --> 00:49:20,000 Speaker 4: for the Jacksonville, Jaguars, Austin Lane, Pete Prisco with us 1127 00:49:20,200 --> 00:49:23,319 Speaker 4: as always here on Jaguars Happy Hour the Second Hour 1128 00:49:23,360 --> 00:49:24,960 Speaker 4: presented by mister Chubbies. 1129 00:49:25,400 --> 00:49:27,600 Speaker 1: So I liked what Liam Cohen said there about the 1130 00:49:27,600 --> 00:49:30,080 Speaker 1: accountability part. Yeah, because there was a video clip of 1131 00:49:30,200 --> 00:49:31,759 Speaker 1: a team meeting right before. 1132 00:49:31,520 --> 00:49:33,160 Speaker 4: The bye week that came out that was what was 1133 00:49:33,239 --> 00:49:36,279 Speaker 4: referenced there today and he said, yeah, you know, I 1134 00:49:36,320 --> 00:49:38,120 Speaker 4: could have made a better play call here and showed 1135 00:49:38,120 --> 00:49:40,640 Speaker 4: the play. One of the players, rookie running back, tried 1136 00:49:40,680 --> 00:49:43,080 Speaker 4: to chime in, Coach, I could have done this. No, no, no, 1137 00:49:43,120 --> 00:49:45,840 Speaker 4: that's fine. I appreciate it that this is on me. 1138 00:49:46,080 --> 00:49:48,080 Speaker 4: So shot out to the Jaguars fil peeling behind. 1139 00:49:47,960 --> 00:49:49,319 Speaker 6: The curtain a little bit and showing us that we've 1140 00:49:49,320 --> 00:49:50,640 Speaker 6: been talking about the access. 1141 00:49:50,880 --> 00:49:51,360 Speaker 1: It's great. 1142 00:49:51,680 --> 00:49:54,080 Speaker 6: And listen, I've been an every single team that i'd 1143 00:49:54,120 --> 00:49:59,080 Speaker 6: been on, lines, Bears, Chiefs and everything. Like those conversations 1144 00:49:59,120 --> 00:50:01,759 Speaker 6: have been had before, right where a coach gets in 1145 00:50:01,760 --> 00:50:03,239 Speaker 6: front of his team and says, I got to call it. 1146 00:50:03,280 --> 00:50:05,800 Speaker 1: Up better what I've never seen before. 1147 00:50:05,960 --> 00:50:08,640 Speaker 6: And this is why I bin into what Liam Cohen's 1148 00:50:08,640 --> 00:50:11,279 Speaker 6: selling here in terms of accountability. I've never seen a 1149 00:50:11,280 --> 00:50:14,160 Speaker 6: player speak in front of the room like that and 1150 00:50:14,200 --> 00:50:15,719 Speaker 6: say I gotta do a better job. 1151 00:50:15,760 --> 00:50:18,560 Speaker 1: And that was Allen quickly to the Quinn Allen. 1152 00:50:18,600 --> 00:50:21,560 Speaker 6: Yeah, And I've been in those meeting rooms where you 1153 00:50:21,560 --> 00:50:23,360 Speaker 6: don't have a good game and you almost want to 1154 00:50:23,400 --> 00:50:25,560 Speaker 6: sit down and say, like, don't don't show it, don't 1155 00:50:25,560 --> 00:50:28,160 Speaker 6: show it right like you you want to hide, you 1156 00:50:28,160 --> 00:50:30,960 Speaker 6: don't want to like make yourself known. The fact that 1157 00:50:31,000 --> 00:50:33,120 Speaker 6: you got a rookie there who it's his first year 1158 00:50:33,120 --> 00:50:35,040 Speaker 6: in the NFL goes you know what, I'm gonna take 1159 00:50:35,040 --> 00:50:37,320 Speaker 6: accountability for myself and say I have to do a 1160 00:50:37,360 --> 00:50:38,839 Speaker 6: better job than you know. It's like a moment where 1161 00:50:38,960 --> 00:50:41,960 Speaker 6: Colin's like, I appreciate it whatever. Yeah, But like I 1162 00:50:41,960 --> 00:50:44,319 Speaker 6: think it speaks volumes. When you have a rookie who's 1163 00:50:44,320 --> 00:50:46,920 Speaker 6: still learning his way in the NFL to stand up 1164 00:50:46,920 --> 00:50:48,279 Speaker 6: in front of the team and say I gotta do 1165 00:50:48,280 --> 00:50:50,640 Speaker 6: a better job, that means that the message is getting through. 1166 00:50:50,719 --> 00:50:53,319 Speaker 6: I've never in any NFL locker I've been in, I've 1167 00:50:53,320 --> 00:50:55,239 Speaker 6: heard the coach say a million times, I got to 1168 00:50:55,239 --> 00:50:56,560 Speaker 6: call up better, I gotta do a better job in 1169 00:50:56,600 --> 00:50:57,160 Speaker 6: the film room. 1170 00:50:57,520 --> 00:50:58,840 Speaker 1: Never seen a player speak. 1171 00:50:58,640 --> 00:51:02,600 Speaker 5: Up, though, I will say and you know, I said 1172 00:51:02,600 --> 00:51:06,240 Speaker 5: this before the season, we didn't know how he would 1173 00:51:06,239 --> 00:51:10,520 Speaker 5: handle being a head coach, And as we come out 1174 00:51:10,560 --> 00:51:12,720 Speaker 5: of the bye week, I could say with one hundred 1175 00:51:12,719 --> 00:51:15,279 Speaker 5: percent certainty from observing him. 1176 00:51:15,040 --> 00:51:19,800 Speaker 2: Talking to people in that building, I think he's nailing it. Okay, 1177 00:51:20,040 --> 00:51:20,719 Speaker 2: I really do. 1178 00:51:20,840 --> 00:51:22,840 Speaker 5: I have been and I've been around this league a 1179 00:51:23,000 --> 00:51:25,560 Speaker 5: long time, and I've been around a lot of coaches, 1180 00:51:25,920 --> 00:51:27,480 Speaker 5: and there's a lot of bs that comes out of 1181 00:51:27,520 --> 00:51:30,840 Speaker 5: coaches mouths, and they all try to be things they're not. 1182 00:51:31,440 --> 00:51:33,520 Speaker 5: The one thing you can tell with Liam Cohne he's 1183 00:51:33,560 --> 00:51:36,600 Speaker 5: being true to himself, which is the number one priority, 1184 00:51:36,600 --> 00:51:39,439 Speaker 5: because you know that Austin players will look right through 1185 00:51:39,480 --> 00:51:42,080 Speaker 5: your garbage. You'll know it right away you're trying to 1186 00:51:42,080 --> 00:51:46,480 Speaker 5: be somebody else. But two, the way he handles himself 1187 00:51:46,800 --> 00:51:49,239 Speaker 5: in situations. And I said last week on the show JP, 1188 00:51:49,360 --> 00:51:51,120 Speaker 5: when you were here, the next two weeks we're going 1189 00:51:51,160 --> 00:51:52,480 Speaker 5: to be the most important. 1190 00:51:52,080 --> 00:51:55,600 Speaker 2: Weeks of Liam Cohen being the head coach. The bye 1191 00:51:55,640 --> 00:51:57,560 Speaker 2: week and the Vegas. 1192 00:51:57,200 --> 00:52:01,319 Speaker 5: Game, because you had two bad losses, you felt good 1193 00:52:01,360 --> 00:52:03,960 Speaker 5: about yourself. You were the number one seed for about 1194 00:52:03,960 --> 00:52:06,080 Speaker 5: a sneeze, and we've seen that game around here. 1195 00:52:06,120 --> 00:52:09,000 Speaker 2: Before and then now you're not, and so I think 1196 00:52:09,040 --> 00:52:11,080 Speaker 2: it's important. But the way he handles. 1197 00:52:10,719 --> 00:52:17,040 Speaker 5: Himself comes across as genuine and he gets it now. 1198 00:52:17,400 --> 00:52:20,280 Speaker 5: I love the access that the Jaguars give is better 1199 00:52:20,320 --> 00:52:22,319 Speaker 5: than any team in the league, by the way, and 1200 00:52:22,600 --> 00:52:23,480 Speaker 5: why shouldn't it be. 1201 00:52:23,920 --> 00:52:25,200 Speaker 2: There are no secrets out there. 1202 00:52:25,440 --> 00:52:28,520 Speaker 4: Just put it out there, the game plan out there, 1203 00:52:28,560 --> 00:52:30,160 Speaker 4: but everything a team meeting. 1204 00:52:30,080 --> 00:52:32,120 Speaker 5: Right, you're not going to put the game plan out there, 1205 00:52:32,440 --> 00:52:36,360 Speaker 5: but everything else team meetings when it's not detail oriented, 1206 00:52:36,440 --> 00:52:38,520 Speaker 5: you're not giving away plays and who to attack and 1207 00:52:38,560 --> 00:52:38,960 Speaker 5: everything out. 1208 00:52:39,000 --> 00:52:39,480 Speaker 2: That's fine. 1209 00:52:40,239 --> 00:52:44,560 Speaker 5: Now having said all that, I love the accountability, but 1210 00:52:44,600 --> 00:52:47,480 Speaker 5: now you're gonna get Prisco accountability. Oh boy, the Dann 1211 00:52:47,520 --> 00:52:54,839 Speaker 5: field goal. Liam Right, it was fourth and seven. You're 1212 00:52:54,880 --> 00:52:58,280 Speaker 5: down twenty one to nothing. You've been flailing around doing nothing. 1213 00:52:59,080 --> 00:53:01,440 Speaker 2: Why don't you kick the feat to make it twenty 1214 00:53:01,480 --> 00:53:01,960 Speaker 2: one to three? 1215 00:53:02,640 --> 00:53:04,960 Speaker 5: And people said, well, maybe he didn't trust your kicker. 1216 00:53:05,120 --> 00:53:06,000 Speaker 5: If you don't trust your. 1217 00:53:05,960 --> 00:53:07,759 Speaker 2: Kicker to make a thirty five yard field goal, then 1218 00:53:07,760 --> 00:53:09,160 Speaker 2: you should have caught him after the game. 1219 00:53:10,719 --> 00:53:14,160 Speaker 5: So there's my accountability on that. 1220 00:53:14,400 --> 00:53:15,680 Speaker 2: He should have kicked the field goal. 1221 00:53:16,080 --> 00:53:18,960 Speaker 6: Listen, And we talked about this last week. I mean, 1222 00:53:19,480 --> 00:53:20,600 Speaker 6: I thought I wasn't going to do it. 1223 00:53:20,640 --> 00:53:22,080 Speaker 1: I swore in front of my son on that play, 1224 00:53:22,120 --> 00:53:24,399 Speaker 1: I'm in the fourth and seven, you drop the curse? 1225 00:53:24,480 --> 00:53:24,800 Speaker 1: I had to. 1226 00:53:25,200 --> 00:53:27,480 Speaker 6: How could you not? It's fourth and seventy. He decided 1227 00:53:27,520 --> 00:53:30,439 Speaker 6: to go over a quarterback run and didn't work out right. 1228 00:53:31,520 --> 00:53:33,200 Speaker 2: No, it actually was a pass and he scrambled. 1229 00:53:33,239 --> 00:53:35,640 Speaker 6: Remember oh okay, yeah, correction, it was a pass. But 1230 00:53:35,680 --> 00:53:37,480 Speaker 6: he just had to scramble and you could tell from 1231 00:53:37,480 --> 00:53:38,640 Speaker 6: the get go that he wasn't going. 1232 00:53:38,640 --> 00:53:39,040 Speaker 1: To get there. 1233 00:53:39,120 --> 00:53:41,120 Speaker 4: Yeah, but he also kind of ran live at the 1234 00:53:41,200 --> 00:53:42,640 Speaker 4: end instead of diving the headlong. 1235 00:53:42,719 --> 00:53:45,279 Speaker 5: Well no, but he also could have pulled up and 1236 00:53:45,280 --> 00:53:48,560 Speaker 5: thrown to the ten who came uncovered on that play, 1237 00:53:48,600 --> 00:53:49,759 Speaker 5: and he didn't throw it to him. 1238 00:53:50,320 --> 00:53:50,560 Speaker 1: Yeah. 1239 00:53:50,640 --> 00:53:52,279 Speaker 6: I mean, at the end of the day, whether or 1240 00:53:52,320 --> 00:53:54,360 Speaker 6: not he was trying to stick up for Cam Little 1241 00:53:54,400 --> 00:53:57,040 Speaker 6: and take some of the burden off of him. 1242 00:53:57,239 --> 00:53:58,719 Speaker 1: But Pete, I completely agree with you. 1243 00:53:58,760 --> 00:54:01,480 Speaker 6: Where if we're talking about thirty five yard kicking, we're 1244 00:54:01,480 --> 00:54:04,800 Speaker 6: tailoring game plans now to try to make a kicker 1245 00:54:04,840 --> 00:54:05,400 Speaker 6: feel better. 1246 00:54:06,560 --> 00:54:09,359 Speaker 1: I mean, what are we talking about thirty five yards? 1247 00:54:09,360 --> 00:54:11,960 Speaker 5: I mean, and if you talk to Limb about it. 1248 00:54:12,040 --> 00:54:13,960 Speaker 5: I bet he privately, I bet he was saying, I 1249 00:54:13,960 --> 00:54:17,359 Speaker 5: didn't trust my dam kicker in that situation. But if 1250 00:54:17,440 --> 00:54:19,480 Speaker 5: that's the case, then he can't be your kicker. 1251 00:54:20,040 --> 00:54:22,360 Speaker 1: You're stressing with that, then he's not gonna be kicking extra. 1252 00:54:22,200 --> 00:54:24,160 Speaker 6: Points because they're thirty three years There's plenty of kids 1253 00:54:24,200 --> 00:54:26,080 Speaker 6: on college game made that are more than feasible. 1254 00:54:27,360 --> 00:54:29,520 Speaker 4: I feel like, I mean, let's let's keep a place 1255 00:54:29,600 --> 00:54:31,759 Speaker 4: about the same now too. 1256 00:54:32,320 --> 00:54:34,640 Speaker 1: If you make one. Yeah, jeez, but he is. 1257 00:54:34,840 --> 00:54:37,720 Speaker 5: But I love the way he handles himself with the team, 1258 00:54:38,160 --> 00:54:40,239 Speaker 5: and by the way, he also handles himself. 1259 00:54:39,960 --> 00:54:41,080 Speaker 2: Very well with the media. 1260 00:54:42,360 --> 00:54:47,279 Speaker 5: You know, he explains things, he's not stand offish with 1261 00:54:47,360 --> 00:54:50,320 Speaker 5: the questions, and he doesn't get angry with the questions 1262 00:54:50,360 --> 00:54:52,360 Speaker 5: even if they're coming in a direction where he probably 1263 00:54:52,400 --> 00:54:55,000 Speaker 5: doesn't want him coming from. And I think he's smart 1264 00:54:55,040 --> 00:54:56,759 Speaker 5: that way. But I think he's also smart the way 1265 00:54:56,760 --> 00:54:59,839 Speaker 5: he handles his team. And I didn't know that about him. 1266 00:54:59,840 --> 00:55:01,720 Speaker 5: You you never know until the guy's in that position. 1267 00:55:02,440 --> 00:55:07,160 Speaker 5: What I've seen so far I am impressed with as 1268 00:55:07,200 --> 00:55:09,400 Speaker 5: a coach who handles this team. 1269 00:55:09,800 --> 00:55:12,600 Speaker 6: Yeah, and it comes down to being genuine and now 1270 00:55:12,880 --> 00:55:14,919 Speaker 6: listen to talk to him in four or five years 1271 00:55:14,960 --> 00:55:16,319 Speaker 6: and then let's see if he wants to give the 1272 00:55:16,320 --> 00:55:18,040 Speaker 6: full access in everything, or let's see if he's a 1273 00:55:18,080 --> 00:55:20,120 Speaker 6: little burnt out by doing that. I mean, time will tell. 1274 00:55:20,600 --> 00:55:22,680 Speaker 6: But as far as your your first year is concerned, 1275 00:55:22,680 --> 00:55:24,640 Speaker 6: And I said this one one of the very first 1276 00:55:24,640 --> 00:55:25,799 Speaker 6: happy hour shows, Like. 1277 00:55:26,160 --> 00:55:27,439 Speaker 1: When you're winning, everything's fine. 1278 00:55:28,040 --> 00:55:29,759 Speaker 6: When you're losing, you're gonna find out what type of 1279 00:55:29,800 --> 00:55:32,640 Speaker 6: coach who are really quickly, and I think so far 1280 00:55:32,760 --> 00:55:34,680 Speaker 6: his ability to stay genuine. And I think as the 1281 00:55:34,680 --> 00:55:36,720 Speaker 6: players will respond to that, because I'm gonna be honest, 1282 00:55:36,719 --> 00:55:39,080 Speaker 6: it doesn't matter if you're a hard nosed, old school 1283 00:55:39,120 --> 00:55:41,320 Speaker 6: throwback type of coach who wants to cuss all the time, 1284 00:55:41,719 --> 00:55:44,040 Speaker 6: or you're more of a player's coach, Like players don't 1285 00:55:44,080 --> 00:55:45,799 Speaker 6: care about that, Like they're all grown men at the. 1286 00:55:45,800 --> 00:55:46,319 Speaker 1: End of the day. 1287 00:55:46,560 --> 00:55:48,319 Speaker 6: But what players are gonna see through is when you're 1288 00:55:48,320 --> 00:55:50,959 Speaker 6: not being genuine, when you're acting a certain way one 1289 00:55:51,040 --> 00:55:54,040 Speaker 6: day and then the next day you're acting differently, that's 1290 00:55:54,040 --> 00:55:56,160 Speaker 6: when players call you out. I mean, I've seen it firsthand, 1291 00:55:56,160 --> 00:55:58,040 Speaker 6: not in Jackson, but I've seen in other teams where 1292 00:55:58,200 --> 00:55:59,719 Speaker 6: players have no problem calling. 1293 00:55:59,480 --> 00:56:01,600 Speaker 1: A coach out. If he's not being genuine, and I 1294 00:56:01,600 --> 00:56:03,400 Speaker 1: think so far, Liam Cohen's doing great. 1295 00:56:03,320 --> 00:56:05,080 Speaker 4: Examples, give us some examples. 1296 00:56:05,320 --> 00:56:10,160 Speaker 6: Well, I mean I spent some time in Detroit. The 1297 00:56:10,640 --> 00:56:13,800 Speaker 6: coach of Detroit at the time wasn't doing the best. 1298 00:56:14,320 --> 00:56:17,160 Speaker 2: And what was his name? 1299 00:56:17,160 --> 00:56:18,240 Speaker 1: Oh it was Jim Schwartz. 1300 00:56:18,880 --> 00:56:22,279 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, well Jim. Let me see if I could 1301 00:56:22,280 --> 00:56:23,719 Speaker 2: describe Jim over the years. 1302 00:56:23,719 --> 00:56:28,200 Speaker 5: When I know Jim, Jim's ego sometimes doesn't fit the room. 1303 00:56:28,960 --> 00:56:34,680 Speaker 5: M and you know he invented the game, right, it's 1304 00:56:34,760 --> 00:56:39,760 Speaker 5: never his fault. Yeah, right, Well, I mean that's Jim Schwartz. 1305 00:56:39,920 --> 00:56:42,399 Speaker 5: Jim Schwartz is a good football coach, but as a 1306 00:56:42,400 --> 00:56:44,960 Speaker 5: head coach, I can imagine if you're playing for him, 1307 00:56:45,040 --> 00:56:46,960 Speaker 5: it would be there'd be some annoyance to that. 1308 00:56:47,200 --> 00:56:49,600 Speaker 6: Listen, And I was only there for a short amount 1309 00:56:49,640 --> 00:56:51,799 Speaker 6: of time, right, So I just kind of I came 1310 00:56:51,840 --> 00:56:54,959 Speaker 6: in the middle of the season, right, and we lose 1311 00:56:55,000 --> 00:56:56,759 Speaker 6: to Tampa, Who's a team that we're supposed to beat. 1312 00:56:56,880 --> 00:56:59,760 Speaker 6: We get beat by Mike Glennon like you know, shreds, 1313 00:57:00,800 --> 00:57:03,960 Speaker 6: so like giant upset. Everyone's already ticked off. I remember 1314 00:57:03,960 --> 00:57:07,680 Speaker 6: just going to the locker room and you know, my 1315 00:57:07,840 --> 00:57:10,200 Speaker 6: time there. Before that game, I felt like Jim was 1316 00:57:10,200 --> 00:57:11,960 Speaker 6: more like a kind of a player's coach, kind of. 1317 00:57:11,920 --> 00:57:14,719 Speaker 1: Like an easy going guy. And then we get in 1318 00:57:14,760 --> 00:57:17,240 Speaker 1: the locker room and you know, there's waters being thrown 1319 00:57:17,280 --> 00:57:20,120 Speaker 1: and stuff like that. And I won't speak on who 1320 00:57:20,120 --> 00:57:20,600 Speaker 1: the player was. 1321 00:57:21,000 --> 00:57:23,040 Speaker 6: I'll respect the privacy of the player, but one player 1322 00:57:23,080 --> 00:57:24,240 Speaker 6: spoke out and said. 1323 00:57:24,200 --> 00:57:26,000 Speaker 1: You're not gonna do that anymore. If you do that again, 1324 00:57:26,080 --> 00:57:29,160 Speaker 1: we're gonna have problems, and like that that was kind 1325 00:57:29,160 --> 00:57:29,520 Speaker 1: of a rift. 1326 00:57:29,800 --> 00:57:31,800 Speaker 6: This is just means being a bystander like hey, I 1327 00:57:31,880 --> 00:57:34,560 Speaker 6: just got I'm just right here and I'm and I'm 1328 00:57:34,600 --> 00:57:37,040 Speaker 6: coming to a family that seems a little dysfunctional, right, 1329 00:57:37,560 --> 00:57:39,320 Speaker 6: So like once that happened to kind of open my 1330 00:57:39,360 --> 00:57:42,320 Speaker 6: eyes and seeing like, okay, you know, like if if 1331 00:57:42,360 --> 00:57:44,200 Speaker 6: you're gonna try to act up and try to make 1332 00:57:44,240 --> 00:57:46,160 Speaker 6: a statement, it better come from being a place of 1333 00:57:46,240 --> 00:57:47,240 Speaker 6: genuine because if it's not. 1334 00:57:48,160 --> 00:57:49,800 Speaker 1: These these are grown men we're talking about. 1335 00:57:50,080 --> 00:57:51,920 Speaker 6: These These aren't college kids who you got to take 1336 00:57:51,960 --> 00:57:54,120 Speaker 6: by the hand and going to class a certain time, 1337 00:57:54,240 --> 00:57:57,080 Speaker 6: like no, these are guys with families who won't be 1338 00:57:57,120 --> 00:57:58,120 Speaker 6: talked to like that, you know. 1339 00:57:58,400 --> 00:58:00,640 Speaker 2: See, And I think Liam will call out players if 1340 00:58:00,760 --> 00:58:01,080 Speaker 2: need be. 1341 00:58:01,720 --> 00:58:03,919 Speaker 5: I mean, he might not do it publicly, but he'll 1342 00:58:04,200 --> 00:58:06,920 Speaker 5: he'll do it, and he need you know, I mean 1343 00:58:06,960 --> 00:58:09,440 Speaker 5: I think he's he's called it. Basically, he called out 1344 00:58:09,440 --> 00:58:13,120 Speaker 5: Brian Thomas' training camp. Remember he did Miami. 1345 00:58:13,120 --> 00:58:15,440 Speaker 2: You were there, JP. He called him out on the 1346 00:58:15,440 --> 00:58:17,560 Speaker 2: podium over there when he was standing on the podium. 1347 00:58:17,920 --> 00:58:19,400 Speaker 2: So this is the this is the Brian. 1348 00:58:19,200 --> 00:58:21,360 Speaker 5: Thomas we thought we'd see. We hadn't seen it so far. 1349 00:58:21,600 --> 00:58:23,760 Speaker 5: It was nice to see basically called him out. 1350 00:58:23,840 --> 00:58:24,840 Speaker 1: Anton Harrison as well. 1351 00:58:24,840 --> 00:58:27,000 Speaker 6: I think got a little bit of that treatment during 1352 00:58:27,040 --> 00:58:32,200 Speaker 6: the pres Yes, did you. 1353 00:58:32,120 --> 00:58:34,520 Speaker 2: Know it's a little different than like certain other guys 1354 00:58:34,520 --> 00:58:37,320 Speaker 2: have done, like Tom was, you know, you know that 1355 00:58:37,440 --> 00:58:38,440 Speaker 2: was Coughlin, he was. 1356 00:58:38,480 --> 00:58:40,560 Speaker 5: It was not no subtle jab. That was just a 1357 00:58:40,640 --> 00:58:43,560 Speaker 5: right cross to your forehead, you know. And you know 1358 00:58:43,640 --> 00:58:47,120 Speaker 5: Tom called out. Tom called out Mark Brunell on the 1359 00:58:47,160 --> 00:58:49,760 Speaker 5: podium once and it led to a real problem. I 1360 00:58:49,800 --> 00:58:51,880 Speaker 5: mean that that and then he called him out in 1361 00:58:51,920 --> 00:58:55,520 Speaker 5: private too, So there's ways to do it. I think 1362 00:58:55,560 --> 00:58:57,080 Speaker 5: so far Liam has done a good job. But you're 1363 00:58:57,160 --> 00:59:00,400 Speaker 5: right when it really like for example, if they were 1364 00:59:00,440 --> 00:59:02,160 Speaker 5: to lose, and I don't think they will lose this week, 1365 00:59:02,200 --> 00:59:04,480 Speaker 5: But if they were to lose to the Raiders, then 1366 00:59:04,480 --> 00:59:07,880 Speaker 5: we're gonna see what he's really made of for that 1367 00:59:07,960 --> 00:59:10,240 Speaker 5: kind of thing, because you're right, Austome, When it really 1368 00:59:10,280 --> 00:59:13,000 Speaker 5: starts going bad, that's when you test the real metal 1369 00:59:13,000 --> 00:59:13,600 Speaker 5: of the head coach. 1370 00:59:13,880 --> 00:59:16,360 Speaker 4: By the way, did do we get like a sense 1371 00:59:16,360 --> 00:59:17,160 Speaker 4: of a lock there? 1372 00:59:17,240 --> 00:59:19,760 Speaker 1: Pete? You were trying to go down that road? 1373 00:59:20,000 --> 00:59:23,920 Speaker 2: Hey, I don't like really locking road games. You know? 1374 00:59:28,600 --> 00:59:32,040 Speaker 2: Did I locked? I locked the Chiefs before before? 1375 00:59:31,320 --> 00:59:33,680 Speaker 1: We didn't have a do we have a show for 1376 00:59:33,720 --> 00:59:35,400 Speaker 1: the the week before we did? 1377 00:59:35,440 --> 00:59:37,120 Speaker 2: The week before I locked the Chiefs? 1378 00:59:37,440 --> 00:59:39,440 Speaker 6: Did you lock the Rams game? No, you didn't lock 1379 00:59:39,480 --> 00:59:42,840 Speaker 6: the Ram He locked Carolina for sure. 1380 00:59:43,560 --> 00:59:45,360 Speaker 2: And I locked the Chiefs. That was my second I 1381 00:59:45,560 --> 00:59:46,480 Speaker 2: go ahead and lock it. 1382 00:59:46,600 --> 00:59:49,120 Speaker 4: Well, why don't you be bold? And it's a new 1383 00:59:49,160 --> 00:59:52,600 Speaker 4: era of Jaguars football, Pete? I mean be bold and 1384 00:59:52,640 --> 00:59:53,880 Speaker 4: make bold moves. 1385 00:59:54,680 --> 00:59:56,760 Speaker 5: Is that really that bold to lock a team on 1386 00:59:56,800 --> 00:59:59,960 Speaker 5: the road against the Raiders the game? 1387 01:00:01,480 --> 01:00:03,360 Speaker 1: You said you don't lock road games. 1388 01:00:03,960 --> 01:00:06,240 Speaker 2: Well, because the road is did you see what I mean? 1389 01:00:06,560 --> 01:00:08,680 Speaker 5: You can see what happens in the history in the 1390 01:00:08,880 --> 01:00:11,960 Speaker 5: on the West Coast, they bucked the trend against the Niners. 1391 01:00:12,480 --> 01:00:15,280 Speaker 2: But does Vegas count as the West Coast? 1392 01:00:15,680 --> 01:00:17,600 Speaker 4: I believe it's in the Pacific time zone. 1393 01:00:18,600 --> 01:00:20,680 Speaker 5: When when they use their stats of how bad they've 1394 01:00:20,680 --> 01:00:22,040 Speaker 5: been in the Pacific time zone. 1395 01:00:22,280 --> 01:00:23,760 Speaker 1: Count I think that falls in it. 1396 01:00:24,040 --> 01:00:27,240 Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So that's why I'm not gonna lock it. 1397 01:00:28,240 --> 01:00:30,480 Speaker 5: Just just if you lock it, then you could, can't 1398 01:00:30,480 --> 01:00:35,680 Speaker 5: You just see Crosby like getting two strip sacks and 1399 01:00:35,720 --> 01:00:38,360 Speaker 5: they turn into touchdown off. 1400 01:00:38,880 --> 01:00:41,280 Speaker 1: Right right, Well, I'm gonna tell you right now. 1401 01:00:42,080 --> 01:00:44,720 Speaker 6: You know, Halloween's coming up and everything, and I don't 1402 01:00:44,720 --> 01:00:47,480 Speaker 6: know candy to give out, so I'll be locking. 1403 01:00:47,200 --> 01:00:49,200 Speaker 1: The door and I'll be locking this pic. 1404 01:00:50,440 --> 01:00:56,120 Speaker 6: Wow, this this is a must win game for the 1405 01:00:56,200 --> 01:00:57,280 Speaker 6: Jacksonville Jaguars. 1406 01:00:57,440 --> 01:00:59,320 Speaker 2: And I hear the sound effects on that. Amazing. 1535 01:06:30,560 --> 01:06:32,640 Speaker 1: I don't know if that's that's over selling it. Are 1536 01:06:32,680 --> 01:06:33,760 Speaker 1: trying to grow their business, huh. 1537 01:06:33,840 --> 01:06:36,840 Speaker 8: Just people are satisfied if they. 1538 01:06:36,760 --> 01:06:38,840 Speaker 5: Had, if they had won the last two games, it'd 1539 01:06:38,840 --> 01:06:40,520 Speaker 5: probably be somebody lining. 1540 01:06:40,280 --> 01:06:44,240 Speaker 1: Up to do. Hey, but there's seventh seed right now. 1541 01:06:44,120 --> 01:06:47,320 Speaker 2: Still after tonight, they won't be there if the Chiefs win. 1542 01:06:47,680 --> 01:06:49,000 Speaker 1: Chiefs are gonna lose tonight. 1543 01:06:49,520 --> 01:06:50,040 Speaker 2: No, they're not. 1544 01:06:53,600 --> 01:06:57,920 Speaker 1: I'm not locking them. They had one day. No no, no, no. 1545 01:06:58,200 --> 01:07:01,480 Speaker 1: They they found lightning in a bottle once with Marcus. 1546 01:07:01,520 --> 01:07:02,280 Speaker 1: That might be enough. 1547 01:07:03,480 --> 01:07:06,120 Speaker 2: No, but they're the Commander's defense is tirible. We'll talk 1548 01:07:06,120 --> 01:07:08,360 Speaker 2: more about getting Monday night football. But they're not good 1549 01:07:08,480 --> 01:07:08,840 Speaker 2: all right? 1550 01:07:09,360 --> 01:07:13,120 Speaker 4: Keeping it real penalties the Jaguars, because they had the 1551 01:07:13,160 --> 01:07:15,920 Speaker 4: bye week, they are now fourth in the league in 1552 01:07:16,120 --> 01:07:19,320 Speaker 4: accepted penalties. I believe there's second in total penalties called 1553 01:07:19,360 --> 01:07:20,480 Speaker 4: against them. 1554 01:07:20,840 --> 01:07:22,440 Speaker 1: So there you have it. 1555 01:07:22,680 --> 01:07:25,240 Speaker 4: If you're watching us on Jaguars dot Com. Sixty five 1556 01:07:25,400 --> 01:07:30,920 Speaker 4: accepted penalties through Sunday of Week eight, so that's one 1557 01:07:30,960 --> 01:07:33,280 Speaker 4: game less than all the other teams above them. It's 1558 01:07:33,320 --> 01:07:36,680 Speaker 4: like eighty three total penalties called last week, eighteen flags 1559 01:07:36,680 --> 01:07:40,919 Speaker 4: on the ground, thirteen of those accepted. And a week 1560 01:07:40,960 --> 01:07:45,040 Speaker 4: after they talked about hey, the game wrecker. Are the 1561 01:07:45,160 --> 01:07:49,320 Speaker 4: Jaguars not the other teams players? It was the highest 1562 01:07:49,560 --> 01:07:53,720 Speaker 4: water mark in penalties this entire season. So now what 1563 01:07:53,960 --> 01:07:56,720 Speaker 4: I mean? Some of these are okay, aggressive football penalties. 1564 01:07:56,760 --> 01:08:00,439 Speaker 4: Those happened, like PI happens from time to time. There's 1565 01:08:00,880 --> 01:08:03,560 Speaker 4: things holding right if you're if you're getting beat, sometimes 1566 01:08:03,640 --> 01:08:05,640 Speaker 4: you held and things happen right. 1567 01:08:07,040 --> 01:08:07,240 Speaker 1: Now. 1568 01:08:07,320 --> 01:08:09,720 Speaker 4: Some of them have we've talked about throughout the season, 1569 01:08:09,800 --> 01:08:13,200 Speaker 4: or are mental issues like the aligning up off side 1570 01:08:13,240 --> 01:08:16,680 Speaker 4: on offense twice, the throwing the ball pass the line 1571 01:08:16,720 --> 01:08:18,559 Speaker 4: of scrimmage twice this year. 1572 01:08:18,720 --> 01:08:20,240 Speaker 1: There's the lay of game. 1573 01:08:20,280 --> 01:08:22,200 Speaker 2: They've had the lay of games right there. 1574 01:08:22,240 --> 01:08:24,720 Speaker 4: So on that screen we're looking at on Jaguars dot Com, 1575 01:08:24,720 --> 01:08:26,120 Speaker 4: there's so many more. 1576 01:08:26,240 --> 01:08:29,240 Speaker 1: That didn't make it. It's just there's only one screen here. 1577 01:08:29,320 --> 01:08:31,400 Speaker 1: So it's like we, you know, UH should make it 1578 01:08:31,439 --> 01:08:34,000 Speaker 1: so small. It's like Times New Roman twelve right now? 1579 01:08:34,080 --> 01:08:37,519 Speaker 1: Are you trying to go to eight? Right? Way? 1580 01:08:37,840 --> 01:08:41,559 Speaker 5: By the way on our shows on Sunday, I came 1581 01:08:41,680 --> 01:08:45,840 Speaker 5: up with in the green room the other day. I 1582 01:08:45,960 --> 01:08:48,040 Speaker 5: call them and I would never do this, but if 1583 01:08:48,080 --> 01:08:50,160 Speaker 5: I was a head coach, I would think about it. 1584 01:08:50,320 --> 01:08:54,360 Speaker 5: I call those penalties the chokables because you want to 1585 01:08:54,439 --> 01:08:55,760 Speaker 5: choke a damn guy for doing it. 1586 01:08:56,800 --> 01:09:01,719 Speaker 2: And so a legal shift the lay of game, not. 1587 01:09:01,640 --> 01:09:07,960 Speaker 5: Getting set, you know, jumping off side, fall start, fall, start. 1588 01:09:08,560 --> 01:09:13,640 Speaker 5: Those to me are chokables. The other one I call 1589 01:09:13,720 --> 01:09:18,280 Speaker 5: him chokables. The other one is personal fouls away from 1590 01:09:18,320 --> 01:09:19,000 Speaker 5: the action. 1591 01:09:19,840 --> 01:09:20,719 Speaker 2: That's a chokeable. 1592 01:09:21,640 --> 01:09:25,360 Speaker 5: Now, if you get a pass interference penalty, fine, you 1593 01:09:25,400 --> 01:09:27,479 Speaker 5: get a holding penalty, you gonna get a call for holding. 1594 01:09:28,120 --> 01:09:28,439 Speaker 2: Fine. 1595 01:09:28,760 --> 01:09:32,200 Speaker 5: It's in the context of the game, like when WINGERD 1596 01:09:32,240 --> 01:09:37,080 Speaker 5: got the hit in the end zone, bad call. 1597 01:09:37,640 --> 01:09:39,200 Speaker 2: Even if it was a good call, you're. 1598 01:09:39,040 --> 01:09:42,280 Speaker 5: Not really that upset about it. But all the pre 1599 01:09:42,439 --> 01:09:45,559 Speaker 5: snap stuff drives me up well. And it's not just 1600 01:09:45,640 --> 01:09:48,479 Speaker 5: in Jacksonville, it's everywhere. And by the way, if you 1601 01:09:48,520 --> 01:09:50,360 Speaker 5: look at that list of the most penalized teams in 1602 01:09:50,400 --> 01:09:54,479 Speaker 5: the league, three of them are first new coaches. New 1603 01:09:54,479 --> 01:09:57,000 Speaker 5: England's a new coach, Dallas is a new coach, and 1604 01:09:57,040 --> 01:09:58,200 Speaker 5: Liam Cohne's a new coach. 1605 01:09:58,280 --> 01:10:00,160 Speaker 2: So you might have some of that going on on 1606 01:10:00,280 --> 01:10:00,839 Speaker 2: as well. 1607 01:10:01,760 --> 01:10:05,120 Speaker 5: The other part of that is Trevor Lawrence doesn't do 1608 01:10:05,160 --> 01:10:08,960 Speaker 5: a great job with the play call, coming in, getting 1609 01:10:09,000 --> 01:10:12,360 Speaker 5: to a line of scrimmage, getting everybody set and going. 1610 01:10:12,640 --> 01:10:14,040 Speaker 2: And how many times do we see. 1611 01:10:13,960 --> 01:10:16,439 Speaker 5: Him whether the guy's lined up right or not, you 1612 01:10:16,439 --> 01:10:18,080 Speaker 5: see him motioning that guy or whatever. 1613 01:10:18,280 --> 01:10:21,320 Speaker 2: If the playcock gets down, you can't change the play. 1614 01:10:21,520 --> 01:10:26,200 Speaker 2: Yeah he's out, or run it, run the plane. 1615 01:10:26,840 --> 01:10:28,559 Speaker 5: It might be a bad play, but it's better than 1616 01:10:28,600 --> 01:10:30,080 Speaker 5: getting a five yard delay a game. 1617 01:10:30,479 --> 01:10:32,880 Speaker 2: Run the play. And I think you've seen a lot 1618 01:10:32,880 --> 01:10:33,160 Speaker 2: of that. 1619 01:10:33,400 --> 01:10:35,639 Speaker 5: I put a lot of it on the play call 1620 01:10:35,760 --> 01:10:39,040 Speaker 5: coming in, Trevor Lawrence not getting. 1621 01:10:39,080 --> 01:10:41,360 Speaker 2: A feel for that's a feel if you're. 1622 01:10:41,200 --> 01:10:43,360 Speaker 5: A quarterback and the play comes in and you're breaking 1623 01:10:43,360 --> 01:10:46,280 Speaker 5: the huddle with fifteen seconds or fourteen second. 1624 01:10:46,120 --> 01:10:48,800 Speaker 2: You know you got to go. You can't stand there 1625 01:10:48,800 --> 01:10:50,719 Speaker 2: and line him up and then try and change the play. 1626 01:10:50,800 --> 01:10:52,439 Speaker 2: So there's a lot of things that play. 1627 01:10:52,439 --> 01:10:54,080 Speaker 5: But they got to clean that up because you can't 1628 01:10:54,120 --> 01:10:55,599 Speaker 5: work behind the sticks all the time. 1629 01:10:55,640 --> 01:10:57,280 Speaker 2: It's just you're not going to have a good offense. 1630 01:10:57,439 --> 01:11:00,320 Speaker 6: So you've seen like teams like the Patriots run that list. 1631 01:11:00,320 --> 01:11:02,800 Speaker 6: The Broncos are on that list. They have the team 1632 01:11:02,880 --> 01:11:04,280 Speaker 6: set in place where that they can make up for 1633 01:11:04,280 --> 01:11:08,559 Speaker 6: those penalties. The Jaguars can't right now, like they can't 1634 01:11:08,800 --> 01:11:11,280 Speaker 6: handle to the sufflicted wounds. And especially when you talk 1635 01:11:11,320 --> 01:11:13,400 Speaker 6: about like if you go back to that Rams game. 1636 01:11:13,640 --> 01:11:15,360 Speaker 6: It seemed like when the Jaguars went up tempo a 1637 01:11:15,400 --> 01:11:18,200 Speaker 6: little bit, there was a little more rhythm with Trevor Lawrence, 1638 01:11:18,240 --> 01:11:21,200 Speaker 6: there was a little more confidence. Nothing kills confidence and 1639 01:11:21,280 --> 01:11:24,439 Speaker 6: rhythm more than penalties, especially pre snap penalties. Right, So 1640 01:11:24,560 --> 01:11:26,880 Speaker 6: if you want to put two and two together and say, okay, 1641 01:11:26,880 --> 01:11:29,320 Speaker 6: well Trevor doesn't you know, he's not confident, he's not 1642 01:11:29,360 --> 01:11:32,000 Speaker 6: poisoned the pocket. Well, when you're dealing with the the 1643 01:11:32,120 --> 01:11:34,920 Speaker 6: pre snap penalties, that's gonna throw off the rhythm. That's 1644 01:11:34,960 --> 01:11:37,479 Speaker 6: gonna throw off the drive. So that goes hand in hand. 1645 01:11:40,040 --> 01:11:42,360 Speaker 5: And you know, the illegal shift has been an emphasis 1646 01:11:42,360 --> 01:11:44,120 Speaker 5: this year and they've got caught with that a bunch 1647 01:11:44,120 --> 01:11:46,080 Speaker 5: of different times where two guys are moving and they 1648 01:11:46,120 --> 01:11:46,559 Speaker 5: don't set. 1649 01:11:46,680 --> 01:11:49,080 Speaker 4: Well, they had what five or six in one game 1650 01:11:49,360 --> 01:11:52,120 Speaker 4: that that one game and like five or declined because 1651 01:11:52,120 --> 01:11:53,439 Speaker 4: they didn't do anything with it either. 1652 01:11:53,560 --> 01:11:58,200 Speaker 5: So it's yeah, not knowing the offense, you know, and 1653 01:11:58,200 --> 01:12:00,640 Speaker 5: and and fair you know, it's it's all overwhelming for 1654 01:12:00,640 --> 01:12:02,639 Speaker 5: a young rookie to be learning both sides of the ball. 1655 01:12:03,040 --> 01:12:06,360 Speaker 5: But you gotta get you gotta get into a rhythm, 1656 01:12:06,360 --> 01:12:09,120 Speaker 5: and those penalties are like a sack to me, you 1657 01:12:09,160 --> 01:12:13,720 Speaker 5: know we talk about first and fifteen or second and thirteen. 1658 01:12:13,800 --> 01:12:16,400 Speaker 5: Those are sacks. That's what those are. And you can't 1659 01:12:16,439 --> 01:12:16,960 Speaker 5: have that. 1660 01:12:17,479 --> 01:12:19,880 Speaker 1: You know, with those pre snap with emotions and everything. 1661 01:12:20,000 --> 01:12:22,320 Speaker 1: I get it. Maybe last year, you know, you get 1662 01:12:22,320 --> 01:12:23,519 Speaker 1: away with a lot more of those. 1663 01:12:23,720 --> 01:12:25,880 Speaker 6: This year, the NFL is cracking down, and it almost 1664 01:12:25,920 --> 01:12:27,679 Speaker 6: like it's like a police officer trying to crack down 1665 01:12:27,680 --> 01:12:29,840 Speaker 6: on like speaking tickets before Christmas, right, like you have 1666 01:12:29,880 --> 01:12:32,679 Speaker 6: to reach your quota. That's what these referees seem like now. 1667 01:12:33,000 --> 01:12:34,160 Speaker 6: But at the end of the day, like, if it 1668 01:12:34,200 --> 01:12:36,439 Speaker 6: happens one game, okay, let it be an anomaly and 1669 01:12:36,520 --> 01:12:36,960 Speaker 6: learn from it. 1670 01:12:37,000 --> 01:12:39,120 Speaker 1: But this has happened multiple games now. 1671 01:12:39,240 --> 01:12:41,479 Speaker 6: And it was almost the Kansas City game where we 1672 01:12:41,520 --> 01:12:43,559 Speaker 6: all praise this team because of what they had four 1673 01:12:43,560 --> 01:12:47,439 Speaker 6: penalties that game on primetime television Monday Night Football, right Like, 1674 01:12:48,560 --> 01:12:49,320 Speaker 6: that's what I thought. 1675 01:12:49,200 --> 01:12:51,720 Speaker 1: The Jaggers were gonna be. That's not who they are 1676 01:12:51,800 --> 01:12:52,200 Speaker 1: right now. 1677 01:12:52,600 --> 01:12:54,600 Speaker 6: Like if you if if you look at just the 1678 01:12:54,680 --> 01:12:58,479 Speaker 6: sample size, they are an undisciplined, you know, penalized team, 1679 01:12:58,640 --> 01:13:01,040 Speaker 6: and until that gets addressed, you can't expect to win 1680 01:13:01,080 --> 01:13:03,280 Speaker 6: a lot of close battles. Because you don't have the 1681 01:13:03,320 --> 01:13:06,120 Speaker 6: team makeup to overcome those types of mistakes. 1682 01:13:06,520 --> 01:13:08,000 Speaker 2: By the way, I thought it was at the end 1683 01:13:08,040 --> 01:13:11,840 Speaker 2: of the month. The police officers. 1684 01:13:11,960 --> 01:13:13,479 Speaker 1: I think it was like a holiday thing though, where 1685 01:13:13,520 --> 01:13:15,280 Speaker 1: they try to get it in before the holidays. 1686 01:13:15,320 --> 01:13:17,439 Speaker 4: Well, you know, I think they're out there around the 1687 01:13:17,439 --> 01:13:19,280 Speaker 4: holidays a whole lot more because there's a lot of 1688 01:13:19,280 --> 01:13:20,200 Speaker 4: people on the roads on them. 1689 01:13:20,320 --> 01:13:21,840 Speaker 2: It's the end of the month, right and. 1690 01:13:21,920 --> 01:13:23,759 Speaker 4: The end of the month, so it goes hand in hand. 1691 01:13:23,920 --> 01:13:25,320 Speaker 4: The end of the month, I think, is the thing. 1692 01:13:25,439 --> 01:13:27,080 Speaker 4: I don't know how true that is. That was never 1693 01:13:27,120 --> 01:13:27,519 Speaker 4: a cop. 1694 01:13:27,960 --> 01:13:29,439 Speaker 2: Yeah, no, neither was I. 1695 01:13:29,479 --> 01:13:32,160 Speaker 5: But I bet the police officers that would call in 1696 01:13:32,200 --> 01:13:34,200 Speaker 5: and say I would tell us, they would say, no. 1697 01:13:34,320 --> 01:13:34,880 Speaker 2: Not true. 1698 01:13:36,280 --> 01:13:37,720 Speaker 1: I never did that ever. 1699 01:13:38,800 --> 01:13:38,920 Speaker 2: Uh. 1700 01:13:38,960 --> 01:13:39,320 Speaker 1: There you have. 1701 01:13:39,400 --> 01:13:42,320 Speaker 4: It's keeping it real and we're back in a moment 1702 01:13:42,360 --> 01:13:44,599 Speaker 4: with fan questions social media. 1703 01:13:45,640 --> 01:13:47,400 Speaker 1: They got questions, We got answers. 1704 01:13:47,600 --> 01:13:53,840 Speaker 4: Maybe maybe we have answers. Still in 1737 01:15:41,400 --> 01:15:43,479 Speaker 4: the running for a wildcard spot. Must Raiders team. The quarterbacks 1744 01:16:01,280 --> 01:16:03,640 Speaker 5: not playing well, they have all kinds of issues. The 1745 01:16:03,720 --> 01:16:06,920 Speaker 5: defense has actually played decent football. But if you block 1746 01:16:07,000 --> 01:16:09,439 Speaker 5: Max Crosby you'll beat them. That's easier said than done, 1747 01:16:09,439 --> 01:16:11,280 Speaker 5: but I think they'll they'll find a way to win 1748 01:16:11,320 --> 01:16:11,599 Speaker 5: the game. 1749 01:16:11,600 --> 01:16:13,920 Speaker 2: But it's a must win, no question about it. 1750 01:16:14,479 --> 01:16:17,479 Speaker 4: They're four and four if they lose with nine games 1751 01:16:17,479 --> 01:16:20,000 Speaker 4: to go, so you must win. 1752 01:16:20,479 --> 01:16:23,120 Speaker 6: It is a must win from the morale that locker room, 1753 01:16:23,320 --> 01:16:25,679 Speaker 6: where if you come off of your two ugliest games 1754 01:16:25,680 --> 01:16:28,559 Speaker 6: of the season so far with Seattle in LA. And if you before the season, you would have 1773 01:17:12,560 --> 01:17:15,200 Speaker 5: told everybody that they would have beat the Chiefs and 1774 01:17:15,240 --> 01:17:17,240 Speaker 5: the forty nine ers Chiefs at home in the forty 1775 01:17:17,320 --> 01:17:19,719 Speaker 5: nine ers of the road, and they would be where 1776 01:17:19,720 --> 01:17:23,240 Speaker 5: they are right now. I guarantee the entire city would 1777 01:17:23,240 --> 01:17:24,880 Speaker 5: have signed up for it, no doubt. I'm not locking the road game. 1788 01:17:46,920 --> 01:17:49,960 Speaker 1: Okay, are you gonna lock the Chargers game? See how 1789 01:17:50,000 --> 01:17:53,600 Speaker 1: they see how they play. 1790 01:17:52,520 --> 01:17:54,120 Speaker 2: Let me see how the quarterback plays in the next 1791 01:17:54,160 --> 01:17:54,599 Speaker 2: two weeks. 1792 01:17:54,840 --> 01:17:57,800 Speaker 4: Speaking up, that's their next question at job sixteen t 1793 01:17:58,080 --> 01:18:01,000 Speaker 4: Why is Trevor still hesitant to throw the ball down 1794 01:18:01,000 --> 01:18:01,519 Speaker 4: the field? 1795 01:18:04,120 --> 01:18:08,479 Speaker 5: Let me say this, there's a narrative out there, very 1796 01:18:08,479 --> 01:18:12,559 Speaker 5: misguided from what I've been told, that he's not first 1797 01:18:12,560 --> 01:18:14,600 Speaker 5: one in, last one out, doesn't put the work in, 1798 01:18:14,680 --> 01:18:15,880 Speaker 5: doesn't know the offense as well. 1799 01:18:16,040 --> 01:18:17,200 Speaker 2: Not true, none of it. 1800 01:18:19,280 --> 01:18:23,479 Speaker 5: Understands every bit about it, smart, lives it, works it. 1801 01:18:25,000 --> 01:18:26,680 Speaker 2: But something's happening. 1802 01:18:28,240 --> 01:18:30,640 Speaker 5: From the time he takes the snap to when the 1803 01:18:30,680 --> 01:18:35,599 Speaker 5: ball gets thrown. Now, is he hesitant for a reason? 1804 01:18:36,120 --> 01:18:38,679 Speaker 5: Why did he take a big shot last year? 1805 01:18:39,240 --> 01:18:41,479 Speaker 2: Sped him up? Because we know he took a big shot. 1806 01:18:41,520 --> 01:18:42,559 Speaker 2: Has he been sped up? 1807 01:18:43,280 --> 01:18:45,920 Speaker 5: Is he different than he's been because the mechanics have 1808 01:18:45,960 --> 01:18:48,760 Speaker 5: all been tweaked, the motion has been tightened. 1809 01:18:48,600 --> 01:18:50,040 Speaker 2: The footwork is better. 1810 01:18:50,840 --> 01:18:56,320 Speaker 5: But something from point A to here, the ball being 1811 01:18:56,360 --> 01:19:01,400 Speaker 5: thrown short circuits at some point and it's not natural 1812 01:19:01,439 --> 01:19:01,800 Speaker 5: for him. 1813 01:19:01,840 --> 01:19:03,880 Speaker 2: So I don't know why that is. 1814 01:19:04,479 --> 01:19:06,840 Speaker 5: But they better figure it out quickly, and he better 1815 01:19:06,880 --> 01:19:07,839 Speaker 5: figure it out quickly. 1816 01:19:08,200 --> 01:19:11,559 Speaker 2: I'm a big believer in his talent, but he's gotta. 1817 01:19:11,320 --> 01:19:13,479 Speaker 5: Start showing it by driving the ball down the field 1818 01:19:13,840 --> 01:19:16,679 Speaker 5: rather than taking the easy throw and the check downs 1819 01:19:16,680 --> 01:19:17,519 Speaker 5: and all that stuff. 1820 01:19:18,000 --> 01:19:18,200 Speaker 1: You know. 1821 01:19:18,400 --> 01:19:21,840 Speaker 6: I this is a couple of weeks ago I praised 1822 01:19:21,840 --> 01:19:24,280 Speaker 6: Trevor where he played within himself. You don't have to 1823 01:19:24,280 --> 01:19:26,680 Speaker 6: play outside yourself and try to be a gunslinger, just 1824 01:19:26,760 --> 01:19:27,559 Speaker 6: be who you are. 1825 01:19:28,320 --> 01:19:30,160 Speaker 1: Well, now it's starting to look like these past couple 1826 01:19:30,200 --> 01:19:32,160 Speaker 1: of games where he's trying to be a guy that's 1827 01:19:32,200 --> 01:19:34,120 Speaker 1: more of a game manager than actually try to take 1828 01:19:34,200 --> 01:19:36,880 Speaker 1: risks and win football games. It's one thing if you're 1829 01:19:36,920 --> 01:19:38,960 Speaker 1: running the football for you know, two hundred yards of 1830 01:19:39,000 --> 01:19:41,519 Speaker 1: pop and you have the legs of ETN, you have 1831 01:19:41,560 --> 01:19:44,479 Speaker 1: your defense causing turnovers and everything. Then as a quarterback. 1832 01:19:44,479 --> 01:19:45,920 Speaker 1: You can kind of put it in cruse control and say, 1833 01:19:45,920 --> 01:19:48,040 Speaker 1: all right, as long as I don't turn the football over, 1834 01:19:48,200 --> 01:19:51,280 Speaker 1: we're all good. But when you're losing by twenty one 1835 01:19:51,320 --> 01:19:54,240 Speaker 1: against the Rams, then it's time. I feel like you 1836 01:19:54,320 --> 01:19:56,479 Speaker 1: got to take the risks. And I feel like right 1837 01:19:56,479 --> 01:19:58,519 Speaker 1: now it might be a guy that's maybe a little 1838 01:19:58,520 --> 01:20:01,200 Speaker 1: afraid to turn the ball. I think you see that 1839 01:20:01,240 --> 01:20:03,640 Speaker 1: in the pocket in terms of taking quarterback sacks and 1840 01:20:03,680 --> 01:20:06,000 Speaker 1: not seeing the guy. I think you it's in terms 1841 01:20:06,000 --> 01:20:08,720 Speaker 1: of taking shots downfield. I think he's just trying to 1842 01:20:08,720 --> 01:20:11,040 Speaker 1: play within himself and not turn the football over. 1843 01:20:11,920 --> 01:20:14,040 Speaker 5: And they want him running more. You know, they said 1844 01:20:14,120 --> 01:20:17,400 Speaker 5: use your legs more. Okay, that's fine, but you have 1845 01:20:17,479 --> 01:20:20,439 Speaker 5: to that's running when there's pressure right down on you. 1846 01:20:21,080 --> 01:20:24,839 Speaker 5: Running then not not one and get out and two 1847 01:20:25,800 --> 01:20:26,960 Speaker 5: move to throw. 1848 01:20:28,160 --> 01:20:31,559 Speaker 2: If you've watch justin Herbert to Let when he's going 1849 01:20:31,600 --> 01:20:32,760 Speaker 2: on his best, what does he do. 1850 01:20:33,200 --> 01:20:35,200 Speaker 5: He gets outside the pocket, keeps his head up and 1851 01:20:35,240 --> 01:20:37,880 Speaker 5: fires a shot down the field. Strebor needs to do 1852 01:20:37,880 --> 01:20:40,240 Speaker 5: a better job of that, and I think he can, 1853 01:20:40,360 --> 01:20:43,320 Speaker 5: and we've seen him do it before. But I think 1854 01:20:43,680 --> 01:20:46,519 Speaker 5: all that's in play and I think he can get 1855 01:20:46,520 --> 01:20:49,000 Speaker 5: to it, But it's just a matter of something's being 1856 01:20:49,080 --> 01:20:52,360 Speaker 5: short circuited from the play coming in to him getting 1857 01:20:52,400 --> 01:20:56,320 Speaker 5: under center. Because he knows it, he understands it, he's 1858 01:20:56,360 --> 01:20:57,000 Speaker 5: good at it. 1859 01:20:57,760 --> 01:21:00,599 Speaker 2: Just run it, run the play. Play his best drive 1860 01:21:00,640 --> 01:21:01,040 Speaker 2: of the year. 1861 01:21:01,400 --> 01:21:02,880 Speaker 5: If you had to say his best drive of the year, 1862 01:21:02,920 --> 01:21:05,840 Speaker 5: what would it be? Not the end, not the touchdown, 1863 01:21:05,880 --> 01:21:08,400 Speaker 5: but the best drive of the year. He's the Chiefs 1864 01:21:08,400 --> 01:21:11,640 Speaker 5: game when shot to the sideline to Thomas, then he 1865 01:21:11,720 --> 01:21:14,320 Speaker 5: get back and fired a shot over on the other sideline. Yeah, 1866 01:21:14,320 --> 01:21:16,719 Speaker 5: and then I mean he got passed in the fierst penalty, 1867 01:21:16,760 --> 01:21:18,360 Speaker 5: but still the run doesn't cout. 1868 01:21:18,400 --> 01:21:21,160 Speaker 2: But those two throws he was going, yet they go. 1869 01:21:21,800 --> 01:21:23,880 Speaker 2: I still think he plays at his best when he 1870 01:21:23,960 --> 01:21:24,559 Speaker 2: has to go. 1871 01:21:25,400 --> 01:21:27,519 Speaker 6: And you mentioned justin Herbert too, like if you watch 1872 01:21:27,560 --> 01:21:29,559 Speaker 6: his last game, like it's not like that offensive line 1873 01:21:29,600 --> 01:21:31,719 Speaker 6: is playing really well right now either, Like Herbert's running 1874 01:21:31,720 --> 01:21:33,800 Speaker 6: for his life. But I think the difference right now 1875 01:21:33,880 --> 01:21:36,160 Speaker 6: between Herbert and Lawrence is that Herbert has like the 1876 01:21:36,160 --> 01:21:38,719 Speaker 6: maximum feel for the pocket where if it breaks down 1877 01:21:39,080 --> 01:21:41,439 Speaker 6: and he's under pressure, he's gonna get you five or 1878 01:21:41,439 --> 01:21:43,559 Speaker 6: six yards and go out of bounds and be smart 1879 01:21:43,560 --> 01:21:44,000 Speaker 6: about it. 1880 01:21:44,360 --> 01:21:44,800 Speaker 1: Right like. 1881 01:21:45,360 --> 01:21:48,639 Speaker 6: That's that to me is the ultimate confident quarterback, where 1882 01:21:48,640 --> 01:21:50,160 Speaker 6: you know, if it's breaking down, all right, I'm not 1883 01:21:50,160 --> 01:21:51,840 Speaker 6: gonna get a first down on this play, but I'm 1884 01:21:51,840 --> 01:21:54,160 Speaker 6: gonna put my offense in a position to win by 1885 01:21:54,160 --> 01:21:56,240 Speaker 6: getting that five six yard gain every single post. 1886 01:21:56,400 --> 01:21:58,759 Speaker 5: It's it's funny because there was a play where Herbert 1887 01:21:58,880 --> 01:22:02,559 Speaker 5: scrambled for a first down and it kind of opened up. 1888 01:22:02,840 --> 01:22:04,719 Speaker 5: But if you look at it, if he just steps 1889 01:22:04,800 --> 01:22:06,840 Speaker 5: up and he had a shot over the top for 1890 01:22:06,880 --> 01:22:08,320 Speaker 5: a touchdown and he didn't, I don't know if you 1891 01:22:08,360 --> 01:22:09,840 Speaker 5: guys remember that, but he didn't take it. 1892 01:22:10,479 --> 01:22:13,400 Speaker 2: I still think being able to move is a blessing. 1893 01:22:13,960 --> 01:22:17,600 Speaker 2: Being able to move and throw is a true. 1894 01:22:17,360 --> 01:22:21,040 Speaker 5: Blessing because nobody wants your quarterback running around like a 1895 01:22:21,080 --> 01:22:23,559 Speaker 5: mad man. But if he could move to throw and 1896 01:22:23,640 --> 01:22:27,600 Speaker 5: hit some shots down the field, that's that just devastates 1897 01:22:27,600 --> 01:22:28,240 Speaker 5: a defense. 1898 01:22:29,360 --> 01:22:33,160 Speaker 4: Next question at the six seeing is how other teams 1899 01:22:33,160 --> 01:22:35,599 Speaker 4: are hurting for cornerback help. Do you think the Jags 1900 01:22:35,600 --> 01:22:37,840 Speaker 4: are sellers on the back end of the defense? 1901 01:22:38,200 --> 01:22:38,400 Speaker 1: What? 1902 01:22:39,680 --> 01:22:42,639 Speaker 5: No, No, they don't have They do not have enough cornerbacks. 1903 01:22:42,640 --> 01:22:46,240 Speaker 5: As it is, White Travis underneath the play be a starting. 1904 01:22:45,880 --> 01:22:47,720 Speaker 1: Corner right now. 1905 01:22:47,760 --> 01:22:50,439 Speaker 4: This I mean, especially Steam is not a selling team, 1906 01:22:50,520 --> 01:22:52,480 Speaker 4: by the way, they might be a buying team. 1907 01:22:52,479 --> 01:22:54,800 Speaker 1: Especially in the secondary, right, that's the last position you 1908 01:22:54,840 --> 01:22:55,200 Speaker 1: want to sell. 1909 01:22:55,280 --> 01:22:58,840 Speaker 5: I feel like, I mean, if I was buying, I'd 1910 01:22:58,840 --> 01:23:02,920 Speaker 5: be looking around for a defensive tackle and maybe uh 1911 01:23:03,360 --> 01:23:06,599 Speaker 5: some a tight end depending on when strangers coming back 1912 01:23:06,600 --> 01:23:08,080 Speaker 5: because they miss him in the worst way. 1913 01:23:08,720 --> 01:23:10,679 Speaker 2: And then also if there's. 1914 01:23:10,520 --> 01:23:13,320 Speaker 5: A wide receiver around floating around. Those are the three 1915 01:23:13,360 --> 01:23:14,360 Speaker 5: spots I would look for. 1916 01:23:14,640 --> 01:23:16,320 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not selling any time soon. 1917 01:23:16,640 --> 01:23:18,479 Speaker 6: I think a drug testing agency would be a great 1918 01:23:18,479 --> 01:23:19,879 Speaker 6: sponsor for this segment. 1919 01:23:19,920 --> 01:23:20,720 Speaker 1: With questions like. 1920 01:23:20,680 --> 01:23:23,479 Speaker 6: That, wow, well, I mean, I mean, what are we 1921 01:23:23,520 --> 01:23:26,600 Speaker 6: talking about, Like, is there even in the secondary that 1922 01:23:26,600 --> 01:23:28,360 Speaker 6: you want to be like, hey, you know, this guy's 1923 01:23:28,520 --> 01:23:30,960 Speaker 6: a hot topic that's going and south Like, I don't think. 1924 01:23:30,920 --> 01:23:34,880 Speaker 1: He's already sold. They already traded one away Tyson Campbell. Yeah, 1925 01:23:35,080 --> 01:23:36,800 Speaker 1: I don't think there's anybody you can really sell. 1926 01:23:36,880 --> 01:23:39,120 Speaker 2: And they're not going to trade away the guy they 1927 01:23:39,160 --> 01:23:39,920 Speaker 2: just traded fo. 1928 01:23:40,240 --> 01:23:42,000 Speaker 1: No, he's yeah. 1929 01:23:42,080 --> 01:23:45,479 Speaker 4: And and they're four and three and feel like okay, 1930 01:23:45,600 --> 01:23:48,080 Speaker 4: especially if they get this game against Las Vegas, then 1931 01:23:49,080 --> 01:23:49,840 Speaker 4: they're right there in the. 1932 01:23:50,360 --> 01:23:53,959 Speaker 2: Speaking of trades. One, mister Bigsby went over one hundred yesterday? 1933 01:23:54,320 --> 01:23:54,960 Speaker 1: Did he really? 1934 01:23:55,600 --> 01:23:55,840 Speaker 2: Yeah? 1935 01:23:56,400 --> 01:23:59,760 Speaker 1: Wow for him? Yeah, yep? 1936 01:24:00,120 --> 01:24:05,760 Speaker 5: On Chase, I mean, I mean you could go Josh 1937 01:24:05,840 --> 01:24:07,439 Speaker 5: Oliver's blogging like a man man. 1938 01:24:08,840 --> 01:24:10,720 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that works sometimes, all right? 1939 01:24:11,040 --> 01:24:14,400 Speaker 4: Next and final one at Eric Harrison, what value is 1940 01:24:14,439 --> 01:24:17,240 Speaker 4: a self scouting tool? He'd been inconsistent, so it's 2108 01:31:47,479 --> 01:31:48,320 Speaker 2: good for him. 2109 01:31:48,640 --> 01:31:51,120 Speaker 5: Well, I want to see him in that offense against 2110 01:31:51,120 --> 01:31:52,559 Speaker 5: that Texans defense this week. 2111 01:31:52,640 --> 01:31:54,280 Speaker 2: I think that that's gonna be a real test. 2112 01:31:54,120 --> 01:31:57,720 Speaker 4: For that Love that Colts over the Titans thirty eight 2113 01:31:57,760 --> 01:32:01,800 Speaker 4: to fourteen, the Packers over the Steamers thirty five twenty five, 2114 01:32:01,920 --> 01:32:06,040 Speaker 4: and the tight end Tucker Craft geez, oh my gosh. 2115 01:32:06,120 --> 01:32:08,639 Speaker 5: Well it's National tight Ends Day and they all had days. 2116 01:32:08,720 --> 01:32:11,000 Speaker 5: I mean a lot of tight ends called touchdown passes. 2117 01:32:11,040 --> 01:32:12,920 Speaker 5: But Jordan Love was phenomenal. 2118 01:32:12,960 --> 01:32:13,400 Speaker 1: By the way. 2119 01:32:13,880 --> 01:32:16,639 Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean this is the Packers team I thought 2120 01:32:16,720 --> 01:32:18,439 Speaker 5: i'd see when I picked them to go to the 2121 01:32:18,439 --> 01:32:20,320 Speaker 5: Super Bowl, and by the way, I picked them before 2122 01:32:20,360 --> 01:32:24,760 Speaker 5: Michael Parsons got there. Because that offense is going and 2123 01:32:25,040 --> 01:32:28,280 Speaker 5: Golden didn't even do anything was right that you look 2124 01:32:28,320 --> 01:32:30,839 Speaker 5: at that offense. I get Watson back, he's a field stretcher. 2125 01:32:31,040 --> 01:32:32,680 Speaker 5: You got that tight end working in the middle of 2126 01:32:32,720 --> 01:32:35,639 Speaker 5: the field. Now you got those other Dobs and Golden 2127 01:32:35,720 --> 01:32:37,760 Speaker 5: and they can run the ball with Jacobs, and the 2128 01:32:37,800 --> 01:32:41,120 Speaker 5: offensive line is big and strong and Love is playing well. 2129 01:32:41,200 --> 01:32:44,040 Speaker 5: That team is for real.
