Police argue that this is an effective 0:04:49.080 --> 0:04:53.360 way of catching criminals that they're reasonably sure will be 0:04:53.360 --> 0:04:56.560 behind the door without giving them the opportunity to run, 0:04:56.640 --> 0:05:06.200 to flee, escape, what have you. This is indeed a tactic that 0:06:59.320 --> 0:07:01.960 burglars use too, kicking the door and say this is 0:07:01.960 --> 0:07:04.320 the police, and then everybody gets on the ground and 0:07:04.360 --> 0:07:06.279 then they tie everybody up and then rob the house. 0:07:07.560 --> 0:07:10.040 So Marvin Guy was defending his house.
