It's around for the 0:03:19.160 --> 0:03:23.080 ninety two years, got well known because it did civil 0:03:23.160 --> 0:03:27.079 rights work right, you know, Freing Summer A sixty eight 0:03:27.240 --> 0:03:31.040 integrating housing covenants and taking out housing kind of bussing 0:03:31.760 --> 0:03:34.760 in Los Angeles. Wilshire Boulevard was the railroad tracks in 0:03:34.760 --> 0:03:39.640 Los Angeles and the pastor here, And when I beg 0:03:39.680 --> 0:03:44.040 in the pastor here, the question was why is the 0:03:44.120 --> 0:03:49.000 church not active in the movement? Why are we not 0:03:49.160 --> 0:03:51.720 stetting up for black lives, all black lives? Why are 0:03:51.760 --> 0:03:53.840 we not showing up in many ways? And there was 0:03:53.840 --> 0:03:56.480 a long history of it. And so in twenty twenty, everyone was in 0:04:33.400 --> 0:04:34.880 the streets. You know, when I was in streets too. 0:04:34.880 --> 0:04:37.760 We have been protests with BLM. And then I also 0:04:37.839 --> 0:04:41.800 got the call to serve as commissioner for CD ten. 0:04:42.080 --> 0:04:44.719 And during that time period in Martia kind of case 0:04:45.120 --> 0:04:47.400 and the real losers and all of that, I believe 0:04:47.400 --> 0:04:50.159 were the citizens because our voice was muffled, it was 0:04:50.200 --> 0:04:53.599 taken away. It was silence. It was not doing democracy 0:04:54.080 --> 0:04:57.159 uh in la uh. And we called a meeting with 0:04:57.160 --> 0:04:59.640 the city council president at the time.
