Is he lactose intolerant? These are the questions 8 00:00:26,320 --> 00:00:30,200 Speaker 1: that I ask. Okay, so we will discuss last night's action 52 00:02:45,440 --> 00:02:48,760 Speaker 5: and news. We're gonna break down this hilarious All Star draft. 53 00:02:49,320 --> 00:02:52,280 Speaker 5: Oh my good solid chef's kiss Yeah, and all debate 54 00:02:52,280 --> 00:02:54,519 Speaker 5: who drafted the better team overall? And you know we 55 00:02:54,600 --> 00:02:56,440 Speaker 5: got tweeted the night and rapid fire fund because this 56 00:02:56,560 --> 00:02:59,240 Speaker 5: is the drop. But let's start NBA trade deadline winners 57 00:02:59,280 --> 00:03:01,840 Speaker 5: and losers will start with the winners. TuS up here. 58 00:03:02,240 --> 00:03:04,519 Speaker 4: Well, Ben Simmons is a winner, and I think it's 59 00:03:04,560 --> 00:03:07,400 Speaker 4: not just for on the court and what happens with 60 00:03:07,440 --> 00:03:09,360 Speaker 4: the Brooklyn Nets, but also off the court. We'll start 61 00:03:09,400 --> 00:03:11,840 Speaker 4: on the court because I think it's amazing that he 62 00:03:11,880 --> 00:03:15,079 Speaker 4: goes to a contender right away. He could have gone 63 00:03:15,080 --> 00:03:16,760 Speaker 4: to a team like the Kings or something like that. 64 00:03:16,800 --> 00:03:18,280 Speaker 4: And I don't say that just to mock the Kings, 65 00:03:18,280 --> 00:03:20,480 Speaker 4: but I say that because on the court, being with 66 00:03:20,520 --> 00:03:23,519 Speaker 4: the Kings would have really highlighted his weaknesses. He would 67 00:03:23,520 --> 00:03:24,800 Speaker 4: have had to do a lot. But you go to 68 00:03:24,800 --> 00:03:27,120 Speaker 4: the nets, what do you have to do. You're playing 69 00:03:27,120 --> 00:03:29,120 Speaker 4: with Kevin Durant, You're playing with Kyri Iving, You're playing 70 00:03:29,120 --> 00:03:32,440 Speaker 4: with the third and fifth best three point shooters in history, 71 00:03:32,440 --> 00:03:35,280 Speaker 4: and Joe Harris and Seth Curry. I mean, you're just 72 00:03:35,440 --> 00:03:37,720 Speaker 4: looking to pass the ball and you just got to 73 00:03:37,720 --> 00:03:39,440 Speaker 4: play d and you got to push it. So I 74 00:03:39,440 --> 00:03:42,360 Speaker 4: think the ridicule that's going to come would have been 75 00:03:43,360 --> 00:03:45,520 Speaker 4: a lot higher. There's going to be some for Ben Simmons, 76 00:03:45,520 --> 00:03:47,160 Speaker 4: for sure, but it would have been a lot higher 77 00:03:47,200 --> 00:03:49,360 Speaker 4: if he had to be the man. But now he 78 00:03:49,400 --> 00:03:51,320 Speaker 4: gets to go to this team, and I think it's 79 00:03:51,760 --> 00:03:55,200 Speaker 4: amazing for him off the court. I mean, on this 80 00:03:55,400 --> 00:03:59,080 Speaker 4: entire season, he's been getting it from everybody. But I 81 00:03:59,120 --> 00:04:02,120 Speaker 4: think we saw what happened in the draft yesterday, the 82 00:04:02,160 --> 00:04:04,320 Speaker 4: All Star Draft. James Harten's getting way more of it. 83 00:04:04,640 --> 00:04:06,920 Speaker 4: Charles Barkley gave it to him, you know, making fun 84 00:04:06,920 --> 00:04:09,760 Speaker 4: of him, Charles Barkley, you know, claiming Harden's going to 85 00:04:09,800 --> 00:04:12,040 Speaker 4: come back. You gave Kyrie the half man half a 86 00:04:12,120 --> 00:04:15,640 Speaker 4: season treatment. I think the Ben will just kind of 87 00:04:15,680 --> 00:04:17,679 Speaker 4: fade to the background because you know, he's playing with Kyrie, 88 00:04:17,680 --> 00:04:21,320 Speaker 4: He's playing with these huge, huge characters and personality. So 89 00:04:21,960 --> 00:04:23,800 Speaker 4: I think, you know, I'm a little too quick to 90 00:04:23,839 --> 00:04:26,320 Speaker 4: anoint them the best team in the East. For sure. 91 00:04:26,360 --> 00:04:28,200 Speaker 4: They've got a lot of hiccups. Heck, one of their 92 00:04:28,200 --> 00:04:30,000 Speaker 4: guys isn't play and they've lost ten row. They're in 93 00:04:30,000 --> 00:04:33,440 Speaker 4: the freaking play in tournament right now, which is bonkers, 94 00:04:33,760 --> 00:04:36,880 Speaker 4: and that they're still the favorites in Vegas, it is 95 00:04:36,960 --> 00:04:40,280 Speaker 4: a little nuts. But I think off the court, he's 96 00:04:40,320 --> 00:04:43,240 Speaker 4: just got all of this support. If you saw the 97 00:04:43,360 --> 00:04:45,920 Speaker 4: quotes coming from the nets after the game, even though 98 00:04:45,960 --> 00:04:48,520 Speaker 4: they lost, he had his fellow countryman Patty millsay, and 99 00:04:48,560 --> 00:04:50,839 Speaker 4: I've been talking to him for a while, and I 100 00:04:50,880 --> 00:04:52,640 Speaker 4: wish I could have been on his team earlier in 101 00:04:52,680 --> 00:04:55,000 Speaker 4: his career. I'm going to support him here, Nash saying 102 00:04:55,360 --> 00:04:57,560 Speaker 4: we're going to help him in the second iteration of 103 00:04:57,640 --> 00:05:00,000 Speaker 4: his second part of his career. He's already joining us 104 00:05:00,080 --> 00:05:03,360 Speaker 4: on this trip. And you know, KD he wanted to 105 00:05:03,400 --> 00:05:04,840 Speaker 4: pick him going back to the ULCO draft. He wanted 106 00:05:04,839 --> 00:05:06,880 Speaker 4: to pick him last year when Lebron said I'm taking 107 00:05:06,880 --> 00:05:09,040 Speaker 4: Ben Simmons, he said, oh man, I wanted Ben Simmons. 108 00:05:09,040 --> 00:05:11,240 Speaker 4: So I think he's going to a great situation. So 109 00:05:12,040 --> 00:05:15,839 Speaker 4: everything everything turn and turning up roses for Ben Simmons, 110 00:05:15,880 --> 00:05:17,960 Speaker 4: even though it's been a pretty bad season. You know, 111 00:05:18,040 --> 00:05:18,400 Speaker 4: off the. 112 00:05:18,320 --> 00:05:20,680 Speaker 5: Court, when's he going to be back? In my mind, 113 00:05:20,680 --> 00:05:22,039 Speaker 5: off that's a big question to me. I know, you 114 00:05:22,080 --> 00:05:23,960 Speaker 5: just said he's joining the team. That doesn't mean he's 115 00:05:23,960 --> 00:05:26,240 Speaker 5: actually going to be playing out there with the Brooklyn Nets. 116 00:05:26,240 --> 00:05:28,320 Speaker 5: I heard Bobby Marks on a podcast so to say 117 00:05:28,880 --> 00:05:30,880 Speaker 5: he would be concerned for Ben Simmons to just come 118 00:05:30,960 --> 00:05:34,960 Speaker 5: back and play until Kevin Durant is back, until Kyrie 119 00:05:35,000 --> 00:05:36,680 Speaker 5: is maybe even playing in every game. And I was like, 120 00:05:36,800 --> 00:05:39,719 Speaker 5: what come on, I'm not doing that here with Ben Simmons. 121 00:05:39,760 --> 00:05:43,839 Speaker 5: When he's ready to go mentally sound or whatever, Uh, 122 00:05:43,920 --> 00:05:46,520 Speaker 5: you gotta play. You can't wait now for Katie. And 123 00:05:46,520 --> 00:05:47,920 Speaker 5: his whole thing was, Oh, that's gonna be a lot 124 00:05:47,920 --> 00:05:49,919 Speaker 5: of pressure, added pressure. He might need Katie to come on. 125 00:05:50,000 --> 00:05:51,000 Speaker 5: He would have to just get out there. 126 00:05:51,400 --> 00:05:54,000 Speaker 6: But we'll see what I mean. I think conditioning was 127 00:05:54,320 --> 00:05:56,760 Speaker 6: apparently he was keeping himself in shape, but now that 128 00:05:56,760 --> 00:05:58,920 Speaker 6: he's actually got a team, he's probably got at least 129 00:05:58,920 --> 00:06:00,720 Speaker 6: a week or so. He had to get himself used 130 00:06:00,720 --> 00:06:02,320 Speaker 6: to the way they just run the offense and the 131 00:06:02,360 --> 00:06:04,640 Speaker 6: way they play there in Brooklyn. But also, you know, 132 00:06:05,040 --> 00:06:08,240 Speaker 6: never to mock anybody for claiming mental health as being 133 00:06:08,240 --> 00:06:09,960 Speaker 6: an issue. But if he was to just all of 134 00:06:10,000 --> 00:06:12,080 Speaker 6: a sudden throw a uniform on and run out there tomorrow, 135 00:06:12,120 --> 00:06:14,520 Speaker 6: I think that would also look a bit bad on him, 136 00:06:14,520 --> 00:06:16,760 Speaker 6: that he was just like I was, just using that 137 00:06:17,440 --> 00:06:19,039 Speaker 6: as a reason for not being on the team. That's 138 00:06:19,040 --> 00:06:21,080 Speaker 6: just my opinion on it. Again, if he's got mental 139 00:06:21,080 --> 00:06:22,720 Speaker 6: health issues, you've got to deal with those and treat 140 00:06:22,720 --> 00:06:25,520 Speaker 6: them seriously as far as you know. For what Tasa saying, 141 00:06:25,520 --> 00:06:27,960 Speaker 6: the only counter I would make to that is a 142 00:06:27,960 --> 00:06:29,600 Speaker 6: big part of the reason he's in this mess is 143 00:06:29,640 --> 00:06:33,120 Speaker 6: because he wouldn't shoot in important times for the Philadelphia's 144 00:06:33,080 --> 00:06:35,000 Speaker 6: seventy six is not just that Game seven dunk that 145 00:06:35,080 --> 00:06:37,960 Speaker 6: he passed up those fourth quarters in a series where 146 00:06:37,960 --> 00:06:40,840 Speaker 6: Philadelphia really looked in control. It's not all on him. 147 00:06:40,839 --> 00:06:42,280 Speaker 6: And again, as I said yesterday, he doesn't have to 148 00:06:42,320 --> 00:06:44,919 Speaker 6: become Steph Curry. But that's a weakness that he hasn't 149 00:06:44,960 --> 00:06:47,000 Speaker 6: proven yet that he can get over. As far as 150 00:06:47,279 --> 00:06:50,479 Speaker 6: taking shots and just finding some sort of shot to 151 00:06:50,560 --> 00:06:52,839 Speaker 6: be consistent, whether it's a dunk, whether it's a little 152 00:06:52,880 --> 00:06:55,000 Speaker 6: jump hook in the lane, whatever it is. So I 153 00:06:55,040 --> 00:06:57,039 Speaker 6: agree he's got when he's got Kyrie and Kevin and 154 00:06:57,040 --> 00:06:59,600 Speaker 6: if Joe Harris comes back, that's perfect for Ben Simmons. 155 00:06:59,600 --> 00:07:01,720 Speaker 6: You've got guy who can shoot. But there is gonna 156 00:07:01,760 --> 00:07:04,240 Speaker 6: be a time where team are gonna be like, we 157 00:07:04,279 --> 00:07:06,240 Speaker 6: need to see this guy shoot now, we're gonna we're 158 00:07:06,240 --> 00:07:08,880 Speaker 6: gonna change our defense. So he is forced to take 159 00:07:08,920 --> 00:07:10,840 Speaker 6: some sort of shot, and that's gonna be the big 160 00:07:10,920 --> 00:07:13,240 Speaker 6: challenge for Simmons is can he step into that shot 161 00:07:13,280 --> 00:07:15,440 Speaker 6: with confidence? Will he take those shots? We need it? Again, 162 00:07:15,440 --> 00:07:17,600 Speaker 6: He's not gonna be taking twenty a game, but five 163 00:07:17,800 --> 00:07:20,560 Speaker 6: ten he's gonna have to. So he's not gonna be 164 00:07:20,600 --> 00:07:24,080 Speaker 6: able to completely avoid not shooting in crucial moments and 165 00:07:24,080 --> 00:07:25,080 Speaker 6: throughout the game as well. 166 00:07:25,560 --> 00:07:27,800 Speaker 4: It's pretty cool they added Seth Curry too, just for them. 167 00:07:28,040 --> 00:07:29,440 Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, yeah, great throwing. 168 00:07:29,600 --> 00:07:33,040 Speaker 4: It's an incredible shooter and a lobcatcher. And Andre Drummond 169 00:07:33,040 --> 00:07:35,560 Speaker 4: that you know, he is the backup for that. He 170 00:07:35,680 --> 00:07:38,040 Speaker 4: was the backup for the Sixers. But it's another outlet. 171 00:07:38,120 --> 00:07:39,720 Speaker 4: I mean, everybody on the floor is gonna be able 172 00:07:39,720 --> 00:07:41,080 Speaker 4: to score that he's playing. 173 00:07:40,840 --> 00:07:43,240 Speaker 2: With, Well, that's gonna be interesting to see the games 174 00:07:43,280 --> 00:07:46,080 Speaker 2: when he plays and Kyrie Irving doesn't play and Kevin 175 00:07:46,120 --> 00:07:48,040 Speaker 2: Durant is still out, because then you have Ann Simmons 176 00:07:48,040 --> 00:07:49,880 Speaker 2: as your number one guy. Let's see what he can 177 00:07:49,880 --> 00:07:52,160 Speaker 2: do as the number one guy. Can those guys shoot 178 00:07:52,560 --> 00:07:54,680 Speaker 2: or are is he gonna be like when Ben Simmons 179 00:07:54,760 --> 00:07:56,240 Speaker 2: was the number one guy for the Sixers and they're like, 180 00:07:56,240 --> 00:07:58,160 Speaker 2: all right, let's see what you can do. I think 181 00:07:58,200 --> 00:07:59,760 Speaker 2: that that's going to be the case. And I think 182 00:08:00,000 --> 00:08:02,080 Speaker 2: one of the only case that the reason he hasn't 183 00:08:02,080 --> 00:08:04,000 Speaker 2: been dunked on by the Charles Barklays of the world 184 00:08:04,080 --> 00:08:06,000 Speaker 2: is we haven't seen Ben Simmons, yeah, for months and 185 00:08:06,040 --> 00:08:08,560 Speaker 2: months at this point, So I don't know. I think 186 00:08:08,600 --> 00:08:11,440 Speaker 2: it makes sense obviously for the for the Nets to do, 187 00:08:11,480 --> 00:08:12,840 Speaker 2: and I think it's going to be a nice fit. 188 00:08:13,160 --> 00:08:15,520 Speaker 2: But if he's just like a souped up Bruce Brown, 189 00:08:15,600 --> 00:08:17,680 Speaker 2: that's not what they traded for, right A guy who 190 00:08:17,720 --> 00:08:20,200 Speaker 2: can make some plays, can play defense, can get out 191 00:08:20,200 --> 00:08:23,080 Speaker 2: and transition play defense. But uh, they need more from 192 00:08:23,080 --> 00:08:25,760 Speaker 2: Ben Simmons. They just traded James Harden for him, right, 193 00:08:25,760 --> 00:08:28,360 Speaker 2: like a guy who was almost leading the league in assists, 194 00:08:30,160 --> 00:08:32,319 Speaker 2: he was very close, but a tennisist guy, twenty point 195 00:08:32,360 --> 00:08:35,280 Speaker 2: per game guy. Yeah, you need more from Ben Simmons 196 00:08:35,280 --> 00:08:37,360 Speaker 2: than eight and six, you know, and. 197 00:08:37,360 --> 00:08:39,400 Speaker 4: I think they expect that to quote now, she said, 198 00:08:39,720 --> 00:08:41,880 Speaker 4: Ben Simmons is ready to enter the second stage of 199 00:08:41,880 --> 00:08:43,400 Speaker 4: his career, and hopefully we can help him take it 200 00:08:43,480 --> 00:08:47,040 Speaker 4: jump you know, I don't know, Yeah, take it down shut. Yeah, 201 00:08:47,080 --> 00:08:49,120 Speaker 4: I mean I think he does. He does expect him 202 00:08:49,160 --> 00:08:52,679 Speaker 4: to shoot the ball towards the basket and not just pass, 203 00:08:53,080 --> 00:08:56,680 Speaker 4: for sure. But I think it might align his return 204 00:08:56,760 --> 00:09:00,000 Speaker 4: might align with Kevin Durant's return. Yeah it might because, yeah, 205 00:09:00,040 --> 00:09:02,960 Speaker 4: Durrant's obviously not playing in the All Star Game. When 206 00:09:03,000 --> 00:09:05,920 Speaker 4: he was asked by Ernie Johnson yesterday, hey, can you 207 00:09:05,920 --> 00:09:10,839 Speaker 4: tell us anything about when you're coming back? No, he 208 00:09:10,920 --> 00:09:11,960 Speaker 4: just rolled with it. I guess. 209 00:09:12,559 --> 00:09:14,880 Speaker 5: I tried again later and he got three more. 210 00:09:15,720 --> 00:09:19,199 Speaker 4: Yeah I miss that, but but yeah he's not. He's 211 00:09:19,280 --> 00:09:21,280 Speaker 4: joining the team now. You know, they've got a couple 212 00:09:21,280 --> 00:09:23,920 Speaker 4: of games before the deadline and then it's a full 213 00:09:23,960 --> 00:09:27,200 Speaker 4: week after. Yeah, where you know we'll be dropping some hits. 214 00:09:27,200 --> 00:09:30,320 Speaker 4: Our top seventy five guests ever in the history of 215 00:09:30,360 --> 00:09:33,680 Speaker 4: this show, during those during those days off after the 216 00:09:33,720 --> 00:09:36,760 Speaker 4: All Star Game, and yeah, that's when I think Katie 217 00:09:36,760 --> 00:09:39,080 Speaker 4: could be coming back. At that point too, there. 218 00:09:39,040 --> 00:09:40,240 Speaker 2: Was ten straight games. 219 00:09:40,240 --> 00:09:40,480 Speaker 3: I know. 220 00:09:40,520 --> 00:09:43,160 Speaker 2: They need Ben Simmons to play right away pretty much. Yeah, 221 00:09:43,200 --> 00:09:45,240 Speaker 2: because look at this. They got the heat this weekend 222 00:09:45,320 --> 00:09:47,959 Speaker 2: in Miami. Then they play the Kings at home, the 223 00:09:48,000 --> 00:09:49,640 Speaker 2: Knicks on the road. Guess what, that's still in New 224 00:09:49,720 --> 00:09:51,880 Speaker 2: York City, and then they got the Wizards, the Celtics. 225 00:09:51,880 --> 00:09:55,000 Speaker 2: They need Simmons to be their number one guy right away, 226 00:09:55,559 --> 00:09:56,840 Speaker 2: So good luck to him. 227 00:09:56,960 --> 00:09:59,160 Speaker 5: Who do you have for a winner of the trade deadline? 228 00:09:59,280 --> 00:10:01,839 Speaker 2: Joely and b is my winner of the deadline? Kind 229 00:10:01,840 --> 00:10:04,120 Speaker 2: of similar to Ben simmons task, because you're right, like 230 00:10:04,240 --> 00:10:07,800 Speaker 2: he could have easily gone to Sacramento or Indiana or Minnesota. 231 00:10:07,840 --> 00:10:09,520 Speaker 2: Those were kind of like the big names Ruber for 232 00:10:09,520 --> 00:10:11,959 Speaker 2: Ben Simmons. But now he's playing for a championship. The 233 00:10:12,080 --> 00:10:16,880 Speaker 2: question with Joel Embiid was are the Sixers wasting a 234 00:10:16,960 --> 00:10:19,199 Speaker 2: year of his prime? Now he's playing with the best 235 00:10:19,200 --> 00:10:21,400 Speaker 2: player he's ever played with and has a real shot 236 00:10:21,400 --> 00:10:24,400 Speaker 2: at winning the championship this year. And a super great 237 00:10:24,480 --> 00:10:26,559 Speaker 2: chance at winning the championship next year. I think it's 238 00:10:26,559 --> 00:10:28,400 Speaker 2: gonna be tough to figure out the fit with Harden 239 00:10:28,480 --> 00:10:31,000 Speaker 2: right away. I think it's gonna be kind of imperative 240 00:10:31,000 --> 00:10:34,640 Speaker 2: that Doc Rivers staggers their minutes so that Harden can 241 00:10:34,720 --> 00:10:36,840 Speaker 2: have a chance to cook all on his own and 242 00:10:36,920 --> 00:10:38,880 Speaker 2: Joel Embiid can have a chance to cook all on 243 00:10:38,880 --> 00:10:41,160 Speaker 2: his own. Those are guys that want the ball every 244 00:10:41,200 --> 00:10:43,160 Speaker 2: single time down the court, and we've seen Harden has 245 00:10:43,200 --> 00:10:46,520 Speaker 2: had some tricky fits with post players in the past, 246 00:10:46,600 --> 00:10:48,480 Speaker 2: not to mention, and Beid's got to figure out how 247 00:10:48,480 --> 00:10:50,840 Speaker 2: to be a role guy alongside James Harden. Be being said, 248 00:10:50,840 --> 00:10:53,319 Speaker 2: I think they figure it out pretty easily. The question 249 00:10:53,440 --> 00:10:55,040 Speaker 2: with Harden is is he gonna be able to dish 250 00:10:55,080 --> 00:10:56,240 Speaker 2: the ball? Is he gonna be able to fit in 251 00:10:56,240 --> 00:10:59,040 Speaker 2: with others? And he always always fits in with others. 252 00:10:59,080 --> 00:11:01,920 Speaker 2: It might take a little but they'll be good eventually. 253 00:11:02,520 --> 00:11:04,840 Speaker 2: And for Embiid, he's got to be thrilled, man like. 254 00:11:04,880 --> 00:11:06,880 Speaker 2: He could have just been having his best season of 255 00:11:06,880 --> 00:11:09,080 Speaker 2: his career. He's leading the league in scoring, He's probably 256 00:11:09,120 --> 00:11:11,760 Speaker 2: gonna win MVP. He's the healthiest he's ever been, and 257 00:11:11,800 --> 00:11:13,840 Speaker 2: it could have been for literally no reason. It could 258 00:11:13,840 --> 00:11:15,600 Speaker 2: have just been waiting until the summer for a trade. 259 00:11:15,640 --> 00:11:17,720 Speaker 2: But now he's got a guy in Harden who's gonna 260 00:11:17,720 --> 00:11:20,319 Speaker 2: be a great running mate alongside him. So yeah, the 261 00:11:20,640 --> 00:11:22,880 Speaker 2: Sixers look scary. Not to mention, they were able to 262 00:11:23,000 --> 00:11:25,400 Speaker 2: keep Fible, they were able to keep MAXI, they kept 263 00:11:25,400 --> 00:11:27,120 Speaker 2: their young guys. Pretty impressive stuff. 264 00:11:27,400 --> 00:11:28,800 Speaker 5: You would agree with this. I know we did thirty 265 00:11:28,840 --> 00:11:30,640 Speaker 5: minutes or so on it yesterday and we were all 266 00:11:30,679 --> 00:11:32,720 Speaker 5: pretty high on both sides of this. Yeah, you know, 267 00:11:32,840 --> 00:11:34,720 Speaker 5: like this felt like a win win type of deal 268 00:11:35,200 --> 00:11:37,080 Speaker 5: for the Sixers and the Nets. But do you agree 269 00:11:37,080 --> 00:11:39,160 Speaker 5: with what Trey saying when it comes to Embiid specifically 270 00:11:39,160 --> 00:11:40,480 Speaker 5: obviously helping the chances to win a. 271 00:11:40,400 --> 00:11:43,320 Speaker 6: Totally yeah, I considering the guy wasn't even playing. So 272 00:11:43,440 --> 00:11:47,200 Speaker 6: now they get an all star talent and it should fit. 273 00:11:47,360 --> 00:11:49,920 Speaker 6: It should work because this is the sort of thing 274 00:11:49,920 --> 00:11:52,280 Speaker 6: that Joel Embiid needs, is another guy who can actually 275 00:11:52,360 --> 00:11:54,320 Speaker 6: go out there and get his own and score and 276 00:11:54,320 --> 00:11:55,800 Speaker 6: he can give you the thirty or the forty or 277 00:11:55,800 --> 00:11:59,560 Speaker 6: fifty point nights. So it should be great for Philadelphia. 278 00:11:59,600 --> 00:12:00,760 Speaker 5: But but we'll wait. 279 00:12:00,559 --> 00:12:00,920 Speaker 2: To see it. 280 00:12:01,200 --> 00:12:03,760 Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, that's why I've chosen for my winners 281 00:12:03,800 --> 00:12:06,320 Speaker 6: the Milwaukee Bucks, because for two reasons. The Bucks made 282 00:12:06,360 --> 00:12:08,600 Speaker 6: a really nice little move in getting Sergia Bucker, I think, 283 00:12:08,679 --> 00:12:10,720 Speaker 6: and you saw that last night. They desperately need that 284 00:12:10,800 --> 00:12:14,520 Speaker 6: interior presence against the Phoenix Suns. DeAndre Ayton feasted on them, 285 00:12:14,960 --> 00:12:18,640 Speaker 6: largely on Chris Middleton and where's Matthews. Not necessarily on Yannis, 286 00:12:18,679 --> 00:12:20,720 Speaker 6: but they need They don't want Yannis having to work 287 00:12:20,760 --> 00:12:22,200 Speaker 6: so hard on both ends anyway. Get to that in 288 00:12:22,200 --> 00:12:24,440 Speaker 6: a minute. But the reason I choose Milwaukee as well 289 00:12:24,480 --> 00:12:27,280 Speaker 6: is because two teams that they could face in the playoffs, 290 00:12:27,280 --> 00:12:31,280 Speaker 6: maybe one, maybe both on paper got stronger, but we've 291 00:12:31,360 --> 00:12:34,400 Speaker 6: still got to see this play out, and both teams 292 00:12:34,760 --> 00:12:37,120 Speaker 6: have a sort of weakness or of vulnerability. With the 293 00:12:37,160 --> 00:12:39,520 Speaker 6: guys that they added, you've kind of got the opposite. 294 00:12:39,520 --> 00:12:41,800 Speaker 6: You've got a guy who can score a ton, doesn't 295 00:12:41,800 --> 00:12:44,840 Speaker 6: play a lot of defense, versus a super defender who 296 00:12:44,920 --> 00:12:47,560 Speaker 6: has questions on the offense game. But they also both 297 00:12:47,600 --> 00:12:50,720 Speaker 6: have playoff demons. You know, James Harden has had really 298 00:12:50,720 --> 00:12:53,880 Speaker 6: good playoff games, but he's probably more known for having 299 00:12:54,000 --> 00:12:58,480 Speaker 6: playoff flame outs as well. Ben Simmons again referencing that 300 00:12:58,520 --> 00:13:00,959 Speaker 6: Hawk series last year. Ben Simmons destroyed the Hawks in 301 00:13:01,000 --> 00:13:03,520 Speaker 6: Game three and they lose in seven, largely because he 302 00:13:03,559 --> 00:13:06,520 Speaker 6: wouldn't shoot. So in theory, if you're the Milwaukee Bucks, 303 00:13:06,520 --> 00:13:08,200 Speaker 6: you're looking at the Easton Conference, you go, the Heat 304 00:13:08,240 --> 00:13:10,720 Speaker 6: are absolutely a threat. The Sixers and the Nets are 305 00:13:10,720 --> 00:13:13,760 Speaker 6: both in theory today on paper, no question a threat. 306 00:13:13,840 --> 00:13:16,400 Speaker 6: But they've only got thirty games or so here to 307 00:13:16,440 --> 00:13:18,760 Speaker 6: figure out how to get this all to work. And 308 00:13:18,800 --> 00:13:21,400 Speaker 6: you've got if you're Brooklyn again, you've got injuries to 309 00:13:21,480 --> 00:13:25,040 Speaker 6: Kevin Durant, he's got to get over that. Ben Simmers 310 00:13:25,120 --> 00:13:26,800 Speaker 6: just got to get himself into game shape. And Kyrie 311 00:13:26,800 --> 00:13:28,760 Speaker 6: Irving might not even be playing on some of those 312 00:13:28,960 --> 00:13:30,600 Speaker 6: games if they were do to get in the series. 313 00:13:30,640 --> 00:13:31,640 Speaker 4: So that's a problem. 314 00:13:31,720 --> 00:13:31,920 Speaker 1: Yeah. 315 00:13:31,920 --> 00:13:33,600 Speaker 6: So if you're the Bucks right now, you'll go. They 316 00:13:33,640 --> 00:13:35,520 Speaker 6: might be stronger, but they've got to prove it first 317 00:13:35,559 --> 00:13:38,120 Speaker 6: that we've got the we're the champions, We've won it. 318 00:13:38,280 --> 00:13:40,240 Speaker 6: They've got to come through us. We've got the continuity. 319 00:13:40,240 --> 00:13:43,120 Speaker 6: We've been together a long time. I mean, Jannison and 320 00:13:43,200 --> 00:13:46,040 Speaker 6: Chris Milton been together forever and Drew Holiday. This is 321 00:13:46,040 --> 00:13:48,080 Speaker 6: only a second season, but he's already been through the 322 00:13:48,120 --> 00:13:51,320 Speaker 6: battles with those guys, So I think Milwaukee thinks, yep, 323 00:13:51,360 --> 00:13:53,600 Speaker 6: they could be good, but we'll take our chances against 324 00:13:53,640 --> 00:13:54,680 Speaker 6: both those teams right now. 325 00:13:54,760 --> 00:13:56,640 Speaker 5: Yeah. Well, it felt like three teams in the league 326 00:13:56,679 --> 00:13:59,720 Speaker 5: yesterday sort of had that mentality the Bucks. Well, actually 327 00:13:59,720 --> 00:14:01,360 Speaker 5: four if you really want to include the Miami Heat 328 00:14:01,360 --> 00:14:02,839 Speaker 5: in this discussion, but the Bucks and the Heat in 329 00:14:02,880 --> 00:14:05,000 Speaker 5: the East and the Warriors of the Suns in the West, 330 00:14:05,040 --> 00:14:06,920 Speaker 5: like as in teams that are just like, we'll tinker 331 00:14:06,960 --> 00:14:09,000 Speaker 5: around the edges. We'll try and improve our teams, but 332 00:14:09,240 --> 00:14:11,920 Speaker 5: we're pretty happy with our core and our chances to 333 00:14:11,960 --> 00:14:14,000 Speaker 5: go very far and win a title. But yeah, I 334 00:14:14,000 --> 00:14:16,160 Speaker 5: guess you could push back, are the Bucks winners or losers? 335 00:14:16,200 --> 00:14:18,880 Speaker 5: Because losers, like you said, maybe like, oh, two teams 336 00:14:18,880 --> 00:14:22,560 Speaker 5: that are gonna be battling now, did get better in theory? 337 00:14:22,600 --> 00:14:25,160 Speaker 6: That's the thing I mean, because you know, the Bucks 338 00:14:25,160 --> 00:14:27,200 Speaker 6: have proven it to us. We know that they can 339 00:14:27,240 --> 00:14:29,560 Speaker 6: overcome some stuff in the playoffs, not just last year, 340 00:14:29,600 --> 00:14:31,720 Speaker 6: in other years they've had those those brutal losses, but 341 00:14:31,720 --> 00:14:35,040 Speaker 6: they're stuck with that core, and now these other teams 342 00:14:35,040 --> 00:14:36,680 Speaker 6: are like you've got to figure things out, and that 343 00:14:36,840 --> 00:14:39,360 Speaker 6: usually takes time more than half a season. It's rare 344 00:14:39,720 --> 00:14:42,400 Speaker 6: that a team makes a huge trade during the season 345 00:14:42,440 --> 00:14:43,280 Speaker 6: and then goes on to winning. 346 00:14:43,400 --> 00:14:44,960 Speaker 5: I think that's why Trace said he likes the Sixers 347 00:14:45,040 --> 00:14:46,880 Speaker 5: chances to win a title more next season. 348 00:14:46,640 --> 00:14:49,680 Speaker 6: Right right, right. I mean it has happened in the past, 349 00:14:49,720 --> 00:14:52,040 Speaker 6: but it's rare, and especially when you look at who 350 00:14:52,200 --> 00:14:54,880 Speaker 6: both Philadelphia and Brooklyn would have to go through just 351 00:14:54,880 --> 00:14:58,480 Speaker 6: to get there. Again, Miami, Chicago, and Milwaukee are all 352 00:14:58,600 --> 00:14:59,720 Speaker 6: very very strong teams. 353 00:15:00,040 --> 00:15:02,520 Speaker 5: The insane part is that the Nets or the Sixers 354 00:15:02,880 --> 00:15:06,480 Speaker 5: maybe both not making a conference finals that's in play 355 00:15:06,800 --> 00:15:09,680 Speaker 5: one hundred percent in play, which would be a disappointing year. 356 00:15:09,720 --> 00:15:11,920 Speaker 5: I would say, no matter who's on the squad. 357 00:15:11,880 --> 00:15:14,960 Speaker 4: Yeah, the East Scott Juicy, Yeah, because yeah, we didn't 358 00:15:14,960 --> 00:15:17,360 Speaker 4: even mention the Bulls really in that conversation. So the 359 00:15:17,400 --> 00:15:21,320 Speaker 4: Bulls heat Bucks, Yeah, six Ers, Celtics, the Raps want 360 00:15:21,320 --> 00:15:24,320 Speaker 4: to fight, the Calves want to fight, yeah, and the Yeah, 361 00:15:24,360 --> 00:15:26,720 Speaker 4: the Celtics are saying, hello, we want to play too. 362 00:15:26,800 --> 00:15:29,080 Speaker 4: So there's a there's a lot of teams there that, Yeah, 363 00:15:29,080 --> 00:15:31,280 Speaker 4: it's going to be a blast once we get through that, 364 00:15:31,400 --> 00:15:33,720 Speaker 4: even the play in turnment, even the play in tournament. 365 00:15:33,720 --> 00:15:35,520 Speaker 2: I'll say it allay, that's are looking good in the 366 00:15:35,520 --> 00:15:37,440 Speaker 2: play Yeah, I win it. 367 00:15:37,440 --> 00:15:38,840 Speaker 4: It is it is yeah. I mean they're only two 368 00:15:38,840 --> 00:15:42,200 Speaker 4: and a half back of six seeded raps, but yeah 369 00:15:42,240 --> 00:15:46,480 Speaker 4: they are. Yeah, it's it's less it's less than thirty games. 370 00:15:46,520 --> 00:15:47,520 Speaker 4: I mean when it comes down to it, when it 371 00:15:47,560 --> 00:15:49,120 Speaker 4: comes down to all the all their guys come back, 372 00:15:49,120 --> 00:15:51,080 Speaker 4: it'll be like twenty two games probably. 373 00:15:51,120 --> 00:15:52,920 Speaker 6: But I mentioned they do make the playing toilament one 374 00:15:52,960 --> 00:15:56,800 Speaker 6: game and it's at home. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that'd be crazy. 375 00:15:57,560 --> 00:15:59,360 Speaker 3: Do you I'm gonna. 376 00:15:59,200 --> 00:16:02,000 Speaker 5: Blame do you put on KIV for the nets imploding 377 00:16:02,000 --> 00:16:03,080 Speaker 5: here and hard and wanting out? 378 00:16:03,600 --> 00:16:07,960 Speaker 6: I don't think it helps because coaches and teams always 379 00:16:07,960 --> 00:16:09,920 Speaker 6: talk about everyone's got to be on the same page, 380 00:16:09,960 --> 00:16:13,040 Speaker 6: and Kyrie wasn't. Kyrie was on sorry, I'll play when 381 00:16:13,040 --> 00:16:15,120 Speaker 6: I feel like it. That That's really what it came down. 382 00:16:15,640 --> 00:16:18,400 Speaker 6: Kyrie's like, I hope things change, I'm holding out for hope. 383 00:16:18,720 --> 00:16:21,040 Speaker 6: Well there's hope, and there's you can actually do something 384 00:16:21,080 --> 00:16:22,880 Speaker 6: about it, and he chose not to. So I don't 385 00:16:22,880 --> 00:16:25,400 Speaker 6: think it was It was a situation that was already 386 00:16:25,400 --> 00:16:27,120 Speaker 6: a little bit dicey, Yeah, made even worse. 387 00:16:27,240 --> 00:16:28,720 Speaker 5: Yeah. And it's funny because you see a lot of 388 00:16:28,720 --> 00:16:31,040 Speaker 5: people saying, who's under more pressure here to perform? Harden, 389 00:16:31,200 --> 00:16:34,240 Speaker 5: you know, needs like a big, big playoff performance in 390 00:16:34,280 --> 00:16:36,520 Speaker 5: a couple series here and to go far. I get that, 391 00:16:36,720 --> 00:16:39,320 Speaker 5: you know. Ben Simmons, of course, Jesus like this guy, 392 00:16:39,440 --> 00:16:41,280 Speaker 5: like a shell of a former player, was like, oh, 393 00:16:41,280 --> 00:16:43,120 Speaker 5: I can even shoot the basketball. What's he gonna do 394 00:16:43,120 --> 00:16:45,440 Speaker 5: with the free throw line? So he's under pressure. But actually, 395 00:16:45,440 --> 00:16:47,680 Speaker 5: think of all the players involved in these elite teams 396 00:16:47,720 --> 00:16:49,800 Speaker 5: during these con conference To me, it's Kyrie is actually 397 00:16:49,880 --> 00:16:52,040 Speaker 5: under the most pressure. But the ironic part is he 398 00:16:52,080 --> 00:16:54,800 Speaker 5: could care less. It feels like exactly doesn't care. You 399 00:16:54,840 --> 00:16:57,040 Speaker 5: know where maybe these other guys, you know, Durant's obviously 400 00:16:57,200 --> 00:16:59,520 Speaker 5: chasing a legacy type thing and all that, and he's 401 00:16:59,520 --> 00:17:01,760 Speaker 5: trying to get a first title. Like tons of pressure there, 402 00:17:02,120 --> 00:17:03,800 Speaker 5: so is Kyrie, but he doesn't care. 403 00:17:04,280 --> 00:17:08,080 Speaker 2: Yeah, right, And that's why to me, Harden has taken 404 00:17:08,119 --> 00:17:10,680 Speaker 2: some knocks on this for sure. He pouted his way 405 00:17:10,680 --> 00:17:13,199 Speaker 2: out of two straight teams in two seasons by like 406 00:17:13,280 --> 00:17:15,200 Speaker 2: gaining twenty pounds overnight. How do you do it? 407 00:17:15,480 --> 00:17:15,800 Speaker 3: Literally? 408 00:17:15,800 --> 00:17:18,160 Speaker 2: How do you do that? I don't understand. But it's 409 00:17:18,200 --> 00:17:21,000 Speaker 2: more so on Kyrie to me, because exactly what you're saying, 410 00:17:21,160 --> 00:17:24,359 Speaker 2: Kyrie's got a title, Durrant has two times. Ye who's 411 00:17:24,359 --> 00:17:26,000 Speaker 2: the Big three guy that didn't have a title. It's 412 00:17:26,080 --> 00:17:28,200 Speaker 2: James Harden. He came here to say, Hey, I'm going 413 00:17:28,240 --> 00:17:29,720 Speaker 2: for this, let's all try and win a title, and 414 00:17:29,760 --> 00:17:31,959 Speaker 2: then suddenly Kyrie Irving's not there for half the season. 415 00:17:32,720 --> 00:17:34,560 Speaker 2: You've heard a lot on other places That's not what 416 00:17:34,680 --> 00:17:37,320 Speaker 2: James Harden signed up for. He's now carrying a worse 417 00:17:37,359 --> 00:17:38,800 Speaker 2: team than he was trying to carry when he was 418 00:17:38,840 --> 00:17:41,240 Speaker 2: with Houston, trying to carry him to a championship. So, 419 00:17:41,720 --> 00:17:44,760 Speaker 2: I mean, not the greatest way to handle it. Luckily 420 00:17:44,800 --> 00:17:48,240 Speaker 2: he did not make a formal trade otherwise did be 421 00:17:48,440 --> 00:17:51,080 Speaker 2: the way that he wanted out of there. That man said, 422 00:17:51,080 --> 00:17:53,960 Speaker 2: I think Kyrie and James Harden should share at least 423 00:17:54,000 --> 00:17:56,160 Speaker 2: equal blame on the way things went down in Brooklyn. 424 00:17:56,240 --> 00:17:57,960 Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean the fact that the Nets offered hot 425 00:17:58,000 --> 00:18:00,200 Speaker 6: in that big extension and he turned to Dan to 426 00:18:00,240 --> 00:18:01,879 Speaker 6: getting out of Houston to go to a team to 427 00:18:01,880 --> 00:18:04,400 Speaker 6: play with Kevin Durant. You know. That's like when Cary 428 00:18:04,440 --> 00:18:06,359 Speaker 6: said I want to play with Lebron anymore. It's like, 429 00:18:06,600 --> 00:18:09,160 Speaker 6: don't players want to play with superstars? I mean, Kevin 430 00:18:09,200 --> 00:18:11,639 Speaker 6: Durant's top two or three players in the league if 431 00:18:11,640 --> 00:18:14,080 Speaker 6: you could play with And that wasn't good enough for him. 432 00:18:14,119 --> 00:18:17,640 Speaker 6: So he's again informally requested to tray. 433 00:18:17,840 --> 00:18:21,360 Speaker 5: Yeah, but I've heard this comparison made for another podcast. 434 00:18:21,400 --> 00:18:23,520 Speaker 5: I do sort of like it. It's like Harden's like, oh, wow, 435 00:18:23,760 --> 00:18:26,280 Speaker 5: Katie's having a party and inviting me over. That's my guy. 436 00:18:26,320 --> 00:18:27,760 Speaker 5: I'm gonna go kick it with him. Like he goes 437 00:18:27,800 --> 00:18:29,960 Speaker 5: over and then he finds out like this place is 438 00:18:30,000 --> 00:18:32,040 Speaker 5: dead anyway. Yeah, and then like and then like, who's 439 00:18:32,040 --> 00:18:34,200 Speaker 5: this other buddy of yours? I don't like this old 440 00:18:34,200 --> 00:18:38,080 Speaker 5: eight toes with his feet here, you know. Yeah, popped 441 00:18:38,080 --> 00:18:41,840 Speaker 5: in my head. But he was like, you know, you 442 00:18:41,880 --> 00:18:44,240 Speaker 5: don't vibing with that guy as much anymore. You came 443 00:18:44,240 --> 00:18:46,760 Speaker 5: here for KD. This guy's like sort of you know, 444 00:18:46,920 --> 00:18:48,879 Speaker 5: he's like, what's he doing in the cory? He's burning 445 00:18:48,920 --> 00:18:49,639 Speaker 5: sage and stuff. 446 00:18:49,680 --> 00:18:51,600 Speaker 2: Like imagine if that was the report it was from 447 00:18:51,680 --> 00:18:54,359 Speaker 2: Joe Varden right that he said, uh yeah, James Harden 448 00:18:54,440 --> 00:18:57,440 Speaker 2: saw Kyrie Irving lighting sage in the locker room, and 449 00:18:57,480 --> 00:18:58,879 Speaker 2: he looked at him like he had three heads. What 450 00:18:58,920 --> 00:19:01,120 Speaker 2: if it was? I looked at him like he had eight. 451 00:19:03,680 --> 00:19:05,440 Speaker 6: Dies. Get a bit annoying when he's drunk, but he's. 452 00:19:08,840 --> 00:19:10,000 Speaker 2: I still call him hot, Doug. 453 00:19:11,800 --> 00:19:14,360 Speaker 4: This guy's got toes. You've got skinny feet, kd. 454 00:19:16,600 --> 00:19:19,119 Speaker 5: Give me the hell out of here, all right. Some 455 00:19:19,280 --> 00:19:21,639 Speaker 5: other winners of the NBA trade deadline. It feels like 456 00:19:21,680 --> 00:19:24,000 Speaker 5: there was lots actually to pick from, if I'm being honest, 457 00:19:24,760 --> 00:19:26,920 Speaker 5: but I'm gonna go with two, I guess more minor 458 00:19:26,960 --> 00:19:29,360 Speaker 5: ones compared especially to the Sixers and Nets and even 459 00:19:29,400 --> 00:19:33,080 Speaker 5: in the Bucks. But the race for the tenth spot 460 00:19:33,080 --> 00:19:36,440 Speaker 5: in the Western Conference this last week, it's big time 461 00:19:36,520 --> 00:19:38,960 Speaker 5: got a little juicy with the moves that the Pelicans did, 462 00:19:39,119 --> 00:19:42,720 Speaker 5: very aggressive win now move getting McCollum, who knows if 463 00:19:42,760 --> 00:19:45,200 Speaker 5: and when Zion's coming back. That's exciting. So they're there, 464 00:19:45,720 --> 00:19:47,919 Speaker 5: and then the Kings with what they did, and there 465 00:19:47,920 --> 00:19:50,040 Speaker 5: are a couple of games back of you know, the 466 00:19:50,040 --> 00:19:51,840 Speaker 5: Pelicans and Blazers and stuff like that right now, but 467 00:19:51,840 --> 00:19:53,400 Speaker 5: there's a lot of time left to get that back 468 00:19:53,400 --> 00:19:56,120 Speaker 5: in there. They did their obviously big move getting Sabonis. 469 00:19:56,160 --> 00:19:58,320 Speaker 5: We liked what we saw from him in one game, 470 00:19:59,119 --> 00:20:02,919 Speaker 5: the Fox an Ox combo with Debian Mitchell getting more 471 00:20:02,960 --> 00:20:06,199 Speaker 5: burned there, getting some minutes beside Fox. So I just 472 00:20:06,400 --> 00:20:10,240 Speaker 5: like that these teams are going for it definitely. Now 473 00:20:10,720 --> 00:20:13,919 Speaker 5: some people are gonna say, why why would you be 474 00:20:14,000 --> 00:20:16,760 Speaker 5: going for one or two more games? You're not going 475 00:20:16,840 --> 00:20:18,800 Speaker 5: to be winning a series against the fricking Suns or 476 00:20:18,840 --> 00:20:21,240 Speaker 5: Warriors for crying out loud, so good on you. But 477 00:20:22,280 --> 00:20:23,720 Speaker 5: in the King's case, they just want to get it 478 00:20:23,840 --> 00:20:25,520 Speaker 5: exact any sort of tastes and it was you know, 479 00:20:25,560 --> 00:20:26,440 Speaker 5: so I have that as a winner. 480 00:20:26,560 --> 00:20:28,720 Speaker 6: Yeah no, And that's that's the thing. When you haven't 481 00:20:28,720 --> 00:20:30,960 Speaker 6: been to the playoffs forever. The Kings just need that 482 00:20:31,040 --> 00:20:34,240 Speaker 6: playoff hope. They need that playing tournament, something to extend 483 00:20:34,280 --> 00:20:37,440 Speaker 6: beyond the regular season and to play meaningful games, meaningful 484 00:20:37,560 --> 00:20:39,880 Speaker 6: in March and April because they just haven't for so long. 485 00:20:40,000 --> 00:20:42,200 Speaker 6: And the Pelicans again, for where their season started to 486 00:20:42,240 --> 00:20:44,439 Speaker 6: where it is now, it's like, Okay, there's something to 487 00:20:44,440 --> 00:20:46,879 Speaker 6: build on here, there's something to show that this is 488 00:20:47,200 --> 00:20:50,560 Speaker 6: a place of Maybe Zion and CJ and Brandon Ingram 489 00:20:50,640 --> 00:20:53,320 Speaker 6: can do something next season. So you're right, they're obviously 490 00:20:53,320 --> 00:20:55,399 Speaker 6: not going to beat the Suns or Warriors. But any 491 00:20:55,480 --> 00:20:58,760 Speaker 6: sort of hope, experience, an opportunity to sell a few 492 00:20:58,760 --> 00:21:00,639 Speaker 6: more tickets I think is good for those franchises. 493 00:21:00,720 --> 00:21:04,280 Speaker 2: People laugh at incremental progress, but it's not bad. Like literally, 494 00:21:04,280 --> 00:21:06,320 Speaker 2: look at what happened with the Grizzlies. They finished ninth 495 00:21:06,359 --> 00:21:08,560 Speaker 2: in the nineteen twenty season. They got into the play 496 00:21:08,560 --> 00:21:10,760 Speaker 2: in tournament, it didn't work out. The next year they're 497 00:21:10,800 --> 00:21:13,320 Speaker 2: back again, they get into the real playoffs. We see 498 00:21:13,320 --> 00:21:15,280 Speaker 2: a huge game from John Morant, and suddenly this guy 499 00:21:15,760 --> 00:21:18,480 Speaker 2: is an MVP candidate in his third season. It matters 500 00:21:18,520 --> 00:21:21,760 Speaker 2: to playing games that actually matter, which is huge if 501 00:21:21,760 --> 00:21:24,159 Speaker 2: you're the Kings and everybody on their roster has never 502 00:21:24,200 --> 00:21:26,720 Speaker 2: played an important game except for Demanta Sabonis. He comes in, 503 00:21:26,760 --> 00:21:28,919 Speaker 2: he's the best player, and he says, hey, let's go 504 00:21:28,960 --> 00:21:32,080 Speaker 2: and win a tenth seed. I'm experienced winning the tenth seat. 505 00:21:32,200 --> 00:21:34,960 Speaker 2: Let's go for it. You gotta go for it. Sometimes 506 00:21:35,080 --> 00:21:37,880 Speaker 2: maybe it's not the best long term move, but it 507 00:21:37,920 --> 00:21:40,160 Speaker 2: was weird when the when the Kings had three point 508 00:21:40,160 --> 00:21:41,320 Speaker 2: guards anyways. 509 00:21:41,080 --> 00:21:43,719 Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, and they didn't go overboard. They were like 510 00:21:43,760 --> 00:21:46,440 Speaker 5: giving away tons of first round picks and stuff like that. 511 00:21:46,520 --> 00:21:49,040 Speaker 5: You know, Halliburton, Look, he could be an amazing player. 512 00:21:49,080 --> 00:21:51,200 Speaker 5: He could be four or five six time All Star, 513 00:21:51,240 --> 00:21:53,600 Speaker 5: who knows. And I like what the Pacers did, by 514 00:21:53,640 --> 00:21:54,879 Speaker 5: the way too, I have them, you know, as a 515 00:21:54,880 --> 00:21:56,359 Speaker 5: small winner. I like all the moves they did and 516 00:21:56,400 --> 00:21:59,399 Speaker 5: sort of like resetting keeping turner though, blowing it up 517 00:21:59,400 --> 00:22:01,680 Speaker 5: so to speak, and leaning into the tank and all that. 518 00:22:01,920 --> 00:22:04,080 Speaker 5: But yeah, I'm with you, Trey. It's like, as long 519 00:22:04,119 --> 00:22:07,159 Speaker 5: as you don't go crazy and you're like whoa like 520 00:22:07,280 --> 00:22:09,480 Speaker 5: when you think you're maybe better than you are. It's 521 00:22:09,480 --> 00:22:12,399 Speaker 5: like that incremental progress is totally fine. And so Bonus 522 00:22:12,400 --> 00:22:13,919 Speaker 5: is under contract for a couple of years here. You 523 00:22:13,960 --> 00:22:17,040 Speaker 5: obviously have Fox, You've got other pieces. They moved badly, 524 00:22:17,119 --> 00:22:18,840 Speaker 5: you know, fine Dante dian Vicenzo coming. 525 00:22:18,880 --> 00:22:19,400 Speaker 4: I like that. 526 00:22:19,560 --> 00:22:21,720 Speaker 5: So good move here by both the Pelicans I think, 527 00:22:21,760 --> 00:22:24,159 Speaker 5: and the Kings to make things interesting. My other winner, 528 00:22:24,720 --> 00:22:28,600 Speaker 5: the Celtics back to the Eastern Conference. I liked that 529 00:22:28,680 --> 00:22:31,120 Speaker 5: they did something for once, we didn't have a deadline 530 00:22:31,119 --> 00:22:33,639 Speaker 5: where it was like ooh, Danny Ainge man, he was close. 531 00:22:33,800 --> 00:22:37,000 Speaker 5: He was close to like two or three real big blockbusters. 532 00:22:37,000 --> 00:22:39,199 Speaker 5: He almost did it. He didn't, but he thought about it, 533 00:22:39,680 --> 00:22:42,760 Speaker 5: and instead they're not blockbusters. But they sent Josh Richardson 534 00:22:43,119 --> 00:22:45,960 Speaker 5: Romeo Lankford a top four protected twenty twenty two first 535 00:22:46,040 --> 00:22:47,359 Speaker 5: round pick, So that's a nice pick. Then there's a 536 00:22:47,359 --> 00:22:49,399 Speaker 5: pick swap I think later on in the future to 537 00:22:49,440 --> 00:22:51,880 Speaker 5: the Spurs for Derek White. That's the real piece there. 538 00:22:52,280 --> 00:22:55,679 Speaker 5: I love it. This combo guard I think slots in perfectly. 539 00:22:56,000 --> 00:22:58,359 Speaker 5: I think it's actually oddly similar to we talked about 540 00:22:58,359 --> 00:23:00,680 Speaker 5: the Raptors getting Thatius Young and how it's like, yep, 541 00:23:00,720 --> 00:23:03,440 Speaker 5: that just makes sense. He's gonna come in. Fits their 542 00:23:03,440 --> 00:23:05,720 Speaker 5: identity to a t. I think the same could be 543 00:23:05,720 --> 00:23:08,600 Speaker 5: said with Derek White and the Celtics team. He needs 544 00:23:08,600 --> 00:23:10,320 Speaker 5: to get better at hitting a three and a little 545 00:23:10,359 --> 00:23:12,080 Speaker 5: more consistent on his jump shot and stuff like that, 546 00:23:12,359 --> 00:23:14,240 Speaker 5: but what he does defensively, him and Smart are gonna 547 00:23:14,240 --> 00:23:17,040 Speaker 5: be a terror, a terror on any team, and you 548 00:23:17,119 --> 00:23:19,680 Speaker 5: just pair him with Tatum and Brown and Marcus Smart. 549 00:23:19,720 --> 00:23:22,080 Speaker 5: He's played with them in tm USA back in twenty nineteen. 550 00:23:22,119 --> 00:23:25,000 Speaker 5: They obviously played for that team. 551 00:23:28,000 --> 00:23:30,240 Speaker 2: Anybody that played for that team is trash to me 552 00:23:31,000 --> 00:23:34,320 Speaker 2: because it was such a devastating Miles Turner, Derek White, 553 00:23:34,600 --> 00:23:38,920 Speaker 2: Chris Middleton plumb dog, Marcus Smart plum dog, Jason Jalen, 554 00:23:39,200 --> 00:23:41,120 Speaker 2: Greg Popovich trash and. 555 00:23:41,680 --> 00:23:44,560 Speaker 6: They got to that's right, that's right. 556 00:23:44,720 --> 00:23:46,960 Speaker 5: But for the Celtics, you know, he's got experienced Derek White. 557 00:23:46,960 --> 00:23:48,960 Speaker 5: It came up with Udoka there as an assistant in 558 00:23:49,000 --> 00:23:50,919 Speaker 5: the San Antonina Spurs. I like it. And then they 559 00:23:50,920 --> 00:23:55,040 Speaker 5: got Tye as well. He comes back. Shrewder is gone, 560 00:23:55,160 --> 00:23:57,840 Speaker 5: freedom is gone. And I thought they had a pretty 561 00:23:57,840 --> 00:24:00,760 Speaker 5: good little deadline here. It was actually with Derek Wake 562 00:24:00,760 --> 00:24:01,880 Speaker 5: coming in here under contract. 563 00:24:01,880 --> 00:24:02,240 Speaker 2: I like it. 564 00:24:02,320 --> 00:24:02,760 Speaker 5: What do you think? 565 00:24:02,840 --> 00:24:04,920 Speaker 6: Yeah, I think Derek White is better than what they 566 00:24:04,960 --> 00:24:07,360 Speaker 6: else had at point guard. So I think that's good 567 00:24:07,359 --> 00:24:10,560 Speaker 6: for them. And yep, when you're adding Jalen Brown as 568 00:24:10,600 --> 00:24:12,600 Speaker 6: defender as well on that team, that's three guys you 569 00:24:12,680 --> 00:24:15,520 Speaker 6: can really really defend. So in the middle, Tice he's 570 00:24:15,520 --> 00:24:18,080 Speaker 6: been there before. He's a weird big, he's not a 571 00:24:18,119 --> 00:24:19,880 Speaker 6: true big, but he can spread the floor and hit 572 00:24:19,920 --> 00:24:22,080 Speaker 6: that three. But he's not going to take too long 573 00:24:22,080 --> 00:24:24,720 Speaker 6: to get back into their system. There. So not bad 574 00:24:24,720 --> 00:24:27,600 Speaker 6: here for the Celtics, who've quietly rated off six winnable games. 575 00:24:27,640 --> 00:24:29,520 Speaker 6: In a row. But that's not bad for them because 576 00:24:29,520 --> 00:24:32,040 Speaker 6: they're six games over five hundred. Now, Tassy, So what 577 00:24:32,359 --> 00:24:33,640 Speaker 6: are they going to drop six in a row? 578 00:24:33,760 --> 00:24:36,399 Speaker 4: No, no, No, they're scotting. They're not going to lose again. 579 00:24:38,800 --> 00:24:39,000 Speaker 3: Yeah. 580 00:24:39,000 --> 00:24:40,840 Speaker 4: I mean, they're beating bad teams, but they're they're doing 581 00:24:40,880 --> 00:24:41,560 Speaker 4: a good job doing it. 582 00:24:41,640 --> 00:24:41,800 Speaker 1: Yeah. 583 00:24:41,840 --> 00:24:44,480 Speaker 4: Now their bench is for real. You know they've been 584 00:24:44,520 --> 00:24:47,240 Speaker 4: starting Marcus Smart the Jays, Al Horford and Robert Williams 585 00:24:47,320 --> 00:24:50,800 Speaker 4: during this run. Now you've got great Derek Waite, Daniel 586 00:24:50,840 --> 00:24:54,120 Speaker 4: Tase and Grant Williams as your three guys off the bench. Shit, 587 00:24:54,280 --> 00:24:58,439 Speaker 4: Derek Wait's gonna be tough to play against. This was 588 00:24:58,440 --> 00:25:01,320 Speaker 4: our one mistake yesterday when we were going through all 589 00:25:01,440 --> 00:25:04,440 Speaker 4: the trades, we I wonder, why are the Spurs taking 590 00:25:04,520 --> 00:25:08,719 Speaker 4: Josh Richardson for Derek White, and we forgot to include 591 00:25:08,720 --> 00:25:10,600 Speaker 4: the pick. That's what they're doing. It's a first round 592 00:25:10,640 --> 00:25:14,000 Speaker 4: pick the Spurs. If there's one team that's not really 593 00:25:14,119 --> 00:25:16,600 Speaker 4: jumping into the play in tournament head first. They're saying, 594 00:25:16,840 --> 00:25:18,320 Speaker 4: you know, more space for our guards the Tree was 595 00:25:18,359 --> 00:25:21,359 Speaker 4: talking about yesterday, more space for Devin Vessel and de 596 00:25:21,440 --> 00:25:24,800 Speaker 4: Jontay Murray. Obviously to Grow, Grow, Grow. Derek White signed 597 00:25:24,840 --> 00:25:27,080 Speaker 4: through twenty twenty five. So this is some long term 598 00:25:27,119 --> 00:25:29,679 Speaker 4: money that the Celtics are taking on, but it's not 599 00:25:29,760 --> 00:25:33,439 Speaker 4: a massive deal, no, no, but yeah, the Spurs are 600 00:25:33,480 --> 00:25:36,280 Speaker 4: deciding who their guards are of the of the future, 601 00:25:36,280 --> 00:25:40,000 Speaker 4: and Derek White is yeah Jeantamri, so he's surpassed him. 602 00:25:40,240 --> 00:25:43,520 Speaker 4: But Celtics, yeah, they got they're strong now strong. Yeah, 603 00:25:43,560 --> 00:25:45,479 Speaker 4: so and they have options if Marcus Smart isn't working out, 604 00:25:45,520 --> 00:25:47,120 Speaker 4: they want to go to two guards system. Yeah. 605 00:25:47,520 --> 00:25:50,520 Speaker 5: Any other NBA trade deadline winners, little mini ones that 606 00:25:50,560 --> 00:25:58,359 Speaker 5: you want to pepper in here us US as no dunk, Yeah, okay, 607 00:25:58,400 --> 00:25:59,439 Speaker 5: because it was a great deadline. 608 00:25:59,480 --> 00:26:01,520 Speaker 6: It was way it just all sort of came together 609 00:26:01,600 --> 00:26:03,920 Speaker 6: to a couple of little ones, the big big one. 610 00:26:04,119 --> 00:26:06,360 Speaker 5: Even I would say, like not just the deadline day, 611 00:26:06,359 --> 00:26:08,800 Speaker 5: but like as the starting earlier in the week, all 612 00:26:08,840 --> 00:26:11,040 Speaker 5: the little deals coming through there. It was fantastic. 613 00:26:11,119 --> 00:26:12,560 Speaker 6: Yeah, and then you get a couple to wind it 614 00:26:12,600 --> 00:26:14,320 Speaker 6: as well. So it was like a big meal, you know, 615 00:26:14,359 --> 00:26:16,399 Speaker 6: if your little baptizers, the big meal, and then a 616 00:26:16,480 --> 00:26:17,720 Speaker 6: nice little dessert at the end. 617 00:26:17,760 --> 00:26:20,840 Speaker 5: So wow, great, Okay, I hadn't really thought about it 618 00:26:20,880 --> 00:26:27,120 Speaker 5: that way that Derek quit was dessert Actually, yeah, desert dessert, 619 00:26:28,280 --> 00:26:30,000 Speaker 5: but it would have to be yeah, like a guy 620 00:26:30,080 --> 00:26:34,040 Speaker 5: named Dessert would have to be obviously like sweety Michael Sweetney. Yes, 621 00:26:34,520 --> 00:26:36,520 Speaker 5: but somebody that like, I like the idea of like 622 00:26:37,040 --> 00:26:39,160 Speaker 5: just closes it out too, you know, not the kids, 623 00:26:39,240 --> 00:26:43,240 Speaker 5: cluck shots, any other winners you want to throw in here? 624 00:26:45,200 --> 00:26:47,719 Speaker 2: Was this the biggest trade? Harden and Simmons, Is this 625 00:26:47,840 --> 00:26:52,359 Speaker 2: like the biggest most league changing trade since Pagasol Pagasol 626 00:26:52,359 --> 00:26:55,040 Speaker 2: to the from the Grizzlies to the Lakers. They went 627 00:26:55,080 --> 00:26:57,600 Speaker 2: to the Finals that year won. The next couple has 628 00:26:57,640 --> 00:27:00,040 Speaker 2: to be Yeah, this seems superful. This seems like I 629 00:27:00,040 --> 00:27:01,560 Speaker 2: get tsn turning point for the NBA. 630 00:27:01,680 --> 00:27:05,480 Speaker 5: M Harden's involved in a lot of those. Yeah. Yeah, 631 00:27:06,560 --> 00:27:09,760 Speaker 5: Well let's get to trade deadline losers task. Who's your 632 00:27:09,760 --> 00:27:10,240 Speaker 5: big one? 633 00:27:10,720 --> 00:27:15,920 Speaker 4: Well, the Lakers didn't make a move, so that was unexpected. 634 00:27:16,440 --> 00:27:19,440 Speaker 4: We all expect them to do something. I mean, they're struggling, 635 00:27:19,520 --> 00:27:23,919 Speaker 4: they're coming into this, this this trade deadline. As we 636 00:27:24,000 --> 00:27:26,480 Speaker 4: said earlier in the week when we had another good 637 00:27:26,480 --> 00:27:28,760 Speaker 4: show that did some good numbers, it was called the 638 00:27:28,840 --> 00:27:33,520 Speaker 4: Lakers limping into the trade deadline. They absolutely they're not 639 00:27:33,600 --> 00:27:37,280 Speaker 4: doing well. People are reveling in it. People revel in 640 00:27:37,359 --> 00:27:39,840 Speaker 4: the Lakers not playing well. And I just want to 641 00:27:39,880 --> 00:27:43,359 Speaker 4: bring up a clip from ESPN just trade deadline coverage. 642 00:27:43,640 --> 00:27:47,200 Speaker 4: It's very funny. It's Malika Andrews. She sets it up 643 00:27:47,359 --> 00:27:51,600 Speaker 4: that the Lakers didn't do anything, and Ramona Shelburn's going 644 00:27:51,640 --> 00:27:54,959 Speaker 4: to start talking about it, and and Milik Andrews brings up, 645 00:27:55,000 --> 00:27:58,680 Speaker 4: nothing happened. They're going to get into the buyout season 646 00:27:58,720 --> 00:28:02,679 Speaker 4: where guys are get released, and Richard Jefferson and Kendrick Perkins, 647 00:28:02,880 --> 00:28:06,159 Speaker 4: they're reveling in the Lakers not making a move. Have 648 00:28:06,200 --> 00:28:06,639 Speaker 4: a listen. 649 00:28:06,880 --> 00:28:09,400 Speaker 7: And Wodraski reported that obviously the Lakers, they didn't make 650 00:28:09,400 --> 00:28:11,800 Speaker 7: any deal, so now they are shifting their focus to 651 00:28:12,200 --> 00:28:24,600 Speaker 7: the buyout market. 652 00:28:19,720 --> 00:28:21,160 Speaker 2: Theakers buyout market. 653 00:28:21,160 --> 00:28:23,680 Speaker 5: But I think the more important impress. 654 00:28:24,080 --> 00:28:24,960 Speaker 2: That's all. 655 00:28:25,680 --> 00:28:28,840 Speaker 4: That's a high five, a high five between Perkins and 656 00:28:28,880 --> 00:28:31,440 Speaker 4: Jefferson and a full on chuck. 657 00:28:31,920 --> 00:28:35,520 Speaker 5: Yeah, but you're pointing out it. 658 00:28:36,480 --> 00:28:39,680 Speaker 4: Let's finish, Let's finish this laugh off with a nice 659 00:28:41,240 --> 00:28:44,320 Speaker 4: Let's really dig them a grave. They just love it 660 00:28:44,440 --> 00:28:47,680 Speaker 4: so much. I was laughing at this yesterday when I 661 00:28:47,720 --> 00:28:49,960 Speaker 4: was with my wife well watching basketball and she said, 662 00:28:49,960 --> 00:28:51,960 Speaker 4: what are you laughing at? And then I showed it 663 00:28:52,000 --> 00:28:54,560 Speaker 4: to her and she said, man, you gotta get out more. 664 00:28:55,680 --> 00:28:58,000 Speaker 5: This is funny. 665 00:28:58,280 --> 00:29:01,160 Speaker 4: This is hilarious stuff for us basketball nerds. You can 666 00:29:01,160 --> 00:29:04,200 Speaker 4: seem Leka Andrews. She's enjoying it as well. Remnis trying 667 00:29:04,200 --> 00:29:06,320 Speaker 4: to be professional? Is Zach Lowe? 668 00:29:06,320 --> 00:29:09,920 Speaker 5: Oh boy here? 669 00:29:10,360 --> 00:29:10,560 Speaker 4: Yeah? 670 00:29:10,680 --> 00:29:14,800 Speaker 6: He gave me school teacher vibes, Zach exactly, people laughing 671 00:29:14,840 --> 00:29:18,400 Speaker 6: in class and it did not approve because Danielle used 672 00:29:18,400 --> 00:29:20,200 Speaker 6: to be a student of absolutely. 673 00:29:20,360 --> 00:29:25,480 Speaker 4: I actually recently saw him in a yearbook. Zach Lowe 674 00:29:25,560 --> 00:29:27,800 Speaker 4: was a social studies teacher for a year that he 675 00:29:27,840 --> 00:29:30,040 Speaker 4: said he was not qualified for because it was just 676 00:29:30,120 --> 00:29:34,600 Speaker 4: like just out of college. He just he just showed movies, 677 00:29:34,640 --> 00:29:35,720 Speaker 4: I think is what he said. 678 00:29:36,080 --> 00:29:38,440 Speaker 6: Was there ten things I do like and don't like 679 00:29:38,480 --> 00:29:39,960 Speaker 6: about social studies. 680 00:29:43,280 --> 00:29:45,720 Speaker 4: What I don't like is people laughing at the Lakers. 681 00:29:45,880 --> 00:29:48,760 Speaker 4: Don't laugh at the Los Angeles Lakers. I mean, they 682 00:29:48,760 --> 00:29:52,680 Speaker 4: didn't make a move. They were involved in conversations about 683 00:29:52,760 --> 00:30:00,920 Speaker 4: cool Dennis Shrewdery. They also were involved in conversations about 684 00:30:00,920 --> 00:30:05,320 Speaker 4: Cam Reddish. 685 00:30:05,400 --> 00:30:06,240 Speaker 2: Luckily they missed. 686 00:30:07,080 --> 00:30:10,840 Speaker 4: Luckily the camera missed it, thankfully. That was an airball 687 00:30:10,880 --> 00:30:11,120 Speaker 4: on that. 688 00:30:11,400 --> 00:30:12,760 Speaker 5: You guys missed that by a mile. 689 00:30:12,960 --> 00:30:14,960 Speaker 2: Yeah, we almost missed the first time. 690 00:30:16,160 --> 00:30:19,200 Speaker 4: I got yank this table. These mics, they don't offer 691 00:30:19,280 --> 00:30:23,360 Speaker 4: high fives like the ESPN set does. Anyways, the other 692 00:30:23,400 --> 00:30:25,080 Speaker 4: one john Wall, john Wall. 693 00:30:25,160 --> 00:30:26,960 Speaker 5: Yeah, they didn't want to put the twenty twenty seven 694 00:30:27,000 --> 00:30:27,760 Speaker 5: first round pick in. 695 00:30:27,960 --> 00:30:30,600 Speaker 4: Yeah, and probably did they make the right meal. I 696 00:30:30,600 --> 00:30:33,520 Speaker 4: think so, because the chatter was Westbrook and the twenty 697 00:30:33,560 --> 00:30:36,160 Speaker 4: twenty seven first round pick for john Wall because it's 698 00:30:36,200 --> 00:30:39,680 Speaker 4: a little I mean again another trade Westbrook for Wall. 699 00:30:39,720 --> 00:30:43,920 Speaker 4: It's all honestly exact, same deal. It's a little bit 700 00:30:43,960 --> 00:30:46,640 Speaker 4: of apples for apples scenario. 701 00:30:47,400 --> 00:30:48,960 Speaker 5: How does that improve their title chances? 702 00:30:49,000 --> 00:30:49,200 Speaker 2: Yeah? 703 00:30:49,200 --> 00:30:51,400 Speaker 4: Plus it's the guy, you know, and we saw what 704 00:30:51,400 --> 00:30:53,320 Speaker 4: Westbrook did at the end of the season last year. 705 00:30:53,320 --> 00:30:55,120 Speaker 4: Hopefully you get some of that juice that he had 706 00:30:55,160 --> 00:30:58,080 Speaker 4: with the Wizards where Patrick Beverley makes fun of him 707 00:30:58,080 --> 00:30:59,800 Speaker 4: this week and maybe he just goes on a twenty 708 00:30:59,840 --> 00:31:01,280 Speaker 4: five game crazy. 709 00:31:02,200 --> 00:31:02,560 Speaker 2: I think. 710 00:31:02,800 --> 00:31:04,520 Speaker 4: I don't think you want to work in John Wall 711 00:31:04,840 --> 00:31:07,680 Speaker 4: when you've got Westbrook on your roster and Lebron and 712 00:31:07,720 --> 00:31:12,520 Speaker 4: Anthony they've been obviously not it hasn't been a great team. 713 00:31:12,800 --> 00:31:15,120 Speaker 4: It hasn't been a great scenario. But we saw what 714 00:31:15,120 --> 00:31:16,760 Speaker 4: happened with the Knicks yesterday. They go and beat the 715 00:31:16,760 --> 00:31:17,520 Speaker 4: Golden State Warriors. 716 00:31:17,520 --> 00:31:18,640 Speaker 5: You know they played Cam Rundish. 717 00:31:18,880 --> 00:31:21,840 Speaker 6: Yeah, well maybe crazy value, so they can try it 718 00:31:21,880 --> 00:31:23,760 Speaker 6: buying on I don't know. 719 00:31:23,800 --> 00:31:25,080 Speaker 4: I mean, if you want to look at it a 720 00:31:25,080 --> 00:31:28,280 Speaker 4: positive light for the Lakers, maybe Westbrook goes off, maybe 721 00:31:28,320 --> 00:31:31,280 Speaker 4: they whatever somehow have a good little twenty five game run. 722 00:31:32,240 --> 00:31:35,280 Speaker 4: The Clippers did a little bit selling selling Serge Ibaka. 723 00:31:35,360 --> 00:31:38,560 Speaker 4: It sure seems like Kawhi Leonard isn't coming back this season. 724 00:31:38,920 --> 00:31:40,960 Speaker 4: That's a team that they could easily pass. Here in 725 00:31:41,000 --> 00:31:42,920 Speaker 4: the standings, they're only a half game back of them. 726 00:31:43,400 --> 00:31:46,000 Speaker 4: Other than that, not a lot of positives. But you know, 727 00:31:46,080 --> 00:31:48,040 Speaker 4: maybe they can just kind of get it together a bit. 728 00:31:48,240 --> 00:31:52,400 Speaker 4: I you know, it's got to come internally. And they 729 00:31:52,400 --> 00:31:54,600 Speaker 4: didn't sell their twenty seven pick. I guess that's a 730 00:31:54,600 --> 00:31:55,520 Speaker 4: good thing they bought. 731 00:31:55,560 --> 00:31:58,040 Speaker 5: They botched this last year when they didn't move Taylon 732 00:31:58,040 --> 00:32:01,640 Speaker 5: Horton Tucker specifically for college. 733 00:32:01,160 --> 00:32:03,400 Speaker 2: Or this summer when they signed West or traded for West. 734 00:32:03,440 --> 00:32:05,760 Speaker 5: Yeah the buddy buddy that too, Yeah, would they take 735 00:32:05,760 --> 00:32:07,560 Speaker 5: that back. Would they rather have all those Wizards players, 736 00:32:07,600 --> 00:32:09,320 Speaker 5: probably because they could have moved them or they would 737 00:32:09,320 --> 00:32:12,840 Speaker 5: be contributing. Yeah, and then yeah, Buddy healed and Lowry 738 00:32:12,840 --> 00:32:14,400 Speaker 5: could be in play, and all these moves that they 739 00:32:14,400 --> 00:32:18,720 Speaker 5: didn't make. It was very Danny angelake. But I actually 740 00:32:18,760 --> 00:32:20,400 Speaker 5: think they did the right thing yesterday, now that I 741 00:32:20,400 --> 00:32:23,040 Speaker 5: think about it. Not moving the twenty twenty seven first 742 00:32:23,080 --> 00:32:26,000 Speaker 5: round pick again for what is we such a lateral move? 743 00:32:26,640 --> 00:32:29,240 Speaker 5: And yeah, they're joking about buyout season, but hell, I 744 00:32:29,240 --> 00:32:32,440 Speaker 5: don't know. I'd almost rather have hopefully Gary Harris than 745 00:32:32,960 --> 00:32:36,760 Speaker 5: trading away a first round pick for Wall we don't 746 00:32:36,760 --> 00:32:37,680 Speaker 5: even know can play. 747 00:32:38,480 --> 00:32:39,920 Speaker 6: Yeah, I think it was more just to get away 748 00:32:39,920 --> 00:32:40,720 Speaker 6: from Westbrook though. 749 00:32:40,760 --> 00:32:42,960 Speaker 5: Oh yeah, so yeah and send them home. 750 00:32:43,840 --> 00:32:47,280 Speaker 6: Yeah. I mean that's what daral Mori did with Kameelo Anthony. 751 00:32:47,320 --> 00:32:49,680 Speaker 6: Now he didn't have that player option, which I guess 752 00:32:49,680 --> 00:32:51,560 Speaker 6: the Lakers would still be on the hook for if 753 00:32:51,600 --> 00:32:55,640 Speaker 6: they were to release him. But I wonder if they 754 00:32:55,800 --> 00:32:58,280 Speaker 6: consider it maybe probably. 755 00:32:57,920 --> 00:33:01,840 Speaker 5: Not, probably not. You consider like literally saying by us 756 00:33:01,880 --> 00:33:03,000 Speaker 5: they don't show up. 757 00:33:03,440 --> 00:33:05,800 Speaker 6: I mean they're saying that in the fourth quarter. They 758 00:33:05,840 --> 00:33:07,560 Speaker 6: said that the other night in the entire game. So 759 00:33:07,960 --> 00:33:11,160 Speaker 6: you know, I mean, if they can say to Westbrook, listen, 760 00:33:11,240 --> 00:33:12,760 Speaker 6: if we wave you, I mean, he would still be 761 00:33:12,800 --> 00:33:14,720 Speaker 6: able to sign with another team, they would be on 762 00:33:14,720 --> 00:33:17,360 Speaker 6: the hook for his salary. But I don't know. I 763 00:33:17,360 --> 00:33:21,040 Speaker 6: mean the Lakers that their team does not look to 764 00:33:21,080 --> 00:33:24,040 Speaker 6: me like they're anywhere near close to contending for a title, 765 00:33:24,040 --> 00:33:26,680 Speaker 6: even when Anthony Davis is out there and Lebron's out there, 766 00:33:26,680 --> 00:33:29,920 Speaker 6: because other than that, their defense is horrific and even 767 00:33:29,920 --> 00:33:33,320 Speaker 6: their offense isn't much more than just like, hopefully Lebron 768 00:33:33,320 --> 00:33:35,320 Speaker 6: and Anthony can be better than the other two teams 769 00:33:35,360 --> 00:33:36,760 Speaker 6: or the other three guys on the court. 770 00:33:37,080 --> 00:33:40,040 Speaker 5: Yeah, Windhorse the reason why people were surprised that they 771 00:33:40,040 --> 00:33:42,240 Speaker 5: didn't do anything, And Windhors brought this up. He said, 772 00:33:42,960 --> 00:33:45,560 Speaker 5: previous Lebron teams like leading up to a deadline when 773 00:33:45,560 --> 00:33:47,640 Speaker 5: he starts saying, oh, we don't have it, or this 774 00:33:47,720 --> 00:33:50,320 Speaker 5: isn't good, or we need to, you know, rattle the keyges. 775 00:33:50,320 --> 00:33:52,760 Speaker 5: I think, to use wind Horse's words, they would do 776 00:33:52,800 --> 00:33:55,600 Speaker 5: something right. They had a huge ten player trade. Ones 777 00:33:55,640 --> 00:33:57,880 Speaker 5: they had multiple trades were like half the roster was gone. 778 00:33:57,920 --> 00:34:01,240 Speaker 5: This happened multiple times and Lebron was doing that saying 779 00:34:01,280 --> 00:34:03,560 Speaker 5: that same thing here as they had this little losing 780 00:34:03,560 --> 00:34:05,520 Speaker 5: streak and we got closer close to the deadline, but 781 00:34:05,520 --> 00:34:07,280 Speaker 5: then they didn't do anything. But the problem was what 782 00:34:07,360 --> 00:34:09,440 Speaker 5: was there to do because of their contract situations. It 783 00:34:09,480 --> 00:34:11,520 Speaker 5: was Taylen Horton Tucker, it was an injured Kendrick Nunn, 784 00:34:11,520 --> 00:34:14,640 Speaker 5: and it was that future future twenty seven first round pick. 785 00:34:14,760 --> 00:34:17,080 Speaker 2: Yeah, a bag of beans package, to be quite honest, 786 00:34:17,120 --> 00:34:18,920 Speaker 2: except for the twenty twenty seven pick that would have 787 00:34:18,920 --> 00:34:22,560 Speaker 2: been nice. But yeah, I mean, I agree, I agree. 788 00:34:22,640 --> 00:34:25,080 Speaker 2: John Wall for Westbrook probably an upgrade at this point. 789 00:34:25,160 --> 00:34:27,120 Speaker 2: John Wall is a better shooter in his career than 790 00:34:27,120 --> 00:34:29,880 Speaker 2: Westbrook is, but he also hasn't played very much in 791 00:34:29,920 --> 00:34:32,520 Speaker 2: the past two seasons, in the past five seasons, if 792 00:34:32,560 --> 00:34:35,160 Speaker 2: we're being honest with the way injuries went there at 793 00:34:35,160 --> 00:34:38,399 Speaker 2: the end of his Washington tenure. But it's also kind 794 00:34:38,400 --> 00:34:39,840 Speaker 2: of a little bit of an f youw to Lebron. 795 00:34:39,880 --> 00:34:42,600 Speaker 2: I feel like that they didn't make a move. They're like, hey, man, 796 00:34:42,840 --> 00:34:45,280 Speaker 2: you brought in Westbrook. You're the one who wanted Thht 797 00:34:45,440 --> 00:34:48,600 Speaker 2: over Caruso. Let's see what you got. So let's see 798 00:34:48,600 --> 00:34:50,840 Speaker 2: what you got. So what is the move now for 799 00:34:50,880 --> 00:34:53,400 Speaker 2: the Lakers. I mean, Frank Vogel's got to be a 800 00:34:53,400 --> 00:34:56,240 Speaker 2: little bit nervous at this point. Rob Polinka is probably 801 00:34:56,239 --> 00:34:59,080 Speaker 2: feeling a little bit nervous at this point. Not great 802 00:34:59,080 --> 00:35:01,239 Speaker 2: stuff was the lake is? How soon before Lebron is 803 00:35:01,239 --> 00:35:03,120 Speaker 2: showing up with a glass of wine in that player right? 804 00:35:03,200 --> 00:35:03,399 Speaker 4: Right? 805 00:35:03,600 --> 00:35:06,680 Speaker 5: Was this photo of Rob Polinka at Disneyland's Real yesterday. 806 00:35:07,080 --> 00:35:07,879 Speaker 5: It couldn't be right. 807 00:35:08,200 --> 00:35:14,279 Speaker 6: I wouldn't think I was dying hopefully hopefully, yes, but 808 00:35:14,400 --> 00:35:15,319 Speaker 6: I doubt it, right. 809 00:35:15,480 --> 00:35:19,080 Speaker 4: I think Poulenka should be commended for not pulling David 810 00:35:19,080 --> 00:35:21,600 Speaker 4: Griffin with the Calves. And David Griffin, as you said, 811 00:35:22,080 --> 00:35:26,120 Speaker 4: when he was pushed by Lebron to make moves, emptied 812 00:35:26,120 --> 00:35:28,799 Speaker 4: the cupboard, emptied it and the Calves had bad years 813 00:35:28,800 --> 00:35:31,480 Speaker 4: because of it. He kept that first round pick. I 814 00:35:31,520 --> 00:35:34,080 Speaker 4: think it's a smart move in the end because it 815 00:35:34,120 --> 00:35:37,279 Speaker 4: would have been not much of an addition that that 816 00:35:37,280 --> 00:35:40,960 Speaker 4: pick would have got him. Yeah, the Calves gave everything 817 00:35:41,000 --> 00:35:44,239 Speaker 4: away to a piece Lebron, and there's some bad years 818 00:35:44,280 --> 00:35:47,600 Speaker 4: even though they've bounced back. So if I was with 819 00:35:47,760 --> 00:35:49,960 Speaker 4: Rob Polenka, I would give him a high five just 820 00:35:50,040 --> 00:35:50,319 Speaker 4: like this. 821 00:35:50,600 --> 00:35:51,120 Speaker 3: I got it. 822 00:35:51,160 --> 00:35:55,160 Speaker 6: I got oh just a regular high five, was a layup, 823 00:35:55,480 --> 00:35:56,000 Speaker 6: just a psycho. 824 00:35:56,480 --> 00:35:57,240 Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm playing. 825 00:35:57,320 --> 00:35:59,200 Speaker 2: I'm making some good points here though, So maybe we 826 00:35:59,239 --> 00:36:01,040 Speaker 2: could get into like a all right. 827 00:36:00,960 --> 00:36:04,560 Speaker 5: Well let's go to you loser of the deadline tray. 828 00:36:05,320 --> 00:36:07,080 Speaker 2: This is a tough one because I actually wanted to 829 00:36:07,080 --> 00:36:10,360 Speaker 2: give the MAVs and the Wizards both losers. That to 830 00:36:10,400 --> 00:36:13,320 Speaker 2: me is the worst trade that happened, very very weird, 831 00:36:13,360 --> 00:36:15,879 Speaker 2: bad vibes all around, I would say, when it comes 832 00:36:15,920 --> 00:36:17,640 Speaker 2: down to it, though, I think you would rather be 833 00:36:17,719 --> 00:36:22,360 Speaker 2: in the Mavericks situation today because two medium bad contracts 834 00:36:22,400 --> 00:36:24,920 Speaker 2: seem to be easier to trade, yeah, than one really 835 00:36:24,920 --> 00:36:28,760 Speaker 2: bad contract, and honestly may be subtracting Kristaps Porzingis' vibes 836 00:36:28,800 --> 00:36:31,680 Speaker 2: is enough similar to cam Reddish here in Atlanta, right, Like, 837 00:36:31,960 --> 00:36:33,520 Speaker 2: sometimes you just get rid of the guy that's not 838 00:36:33,560 --> 00:36:36,360 Speaker 2: totally and things turn around. So the loser to me 839 00:36:36,400 --> 00:36:38,000 Speaker 2: has got to be the Wizards, because I would be 840 00:36:38,160 --> 00:36:40,080 Speaker 2: very nervous if I was a fan of the Wizards 841 00:36:40,080 --> 00:36:42,560 Speaker 2: at this point. Poorzingis, he was the best player in 842 00:36:42,600 --> 00:36:46,080 Speaker 2: the trade when he plays, and he doesn't always play 843 00:36:46,560 --> 00:36:50,120 Speaker 2: the match. The match with Beale, you're like huh, giving 844 00:36:50,160 --> 00:36:53,320 Speaker 2: him space, protecting the rim exactly the same things you 845 00:36:53,360 --> 00:36:55,480 Speaker 2: said about the match with Luca. It's great on paper, 846 00:36:55,520 --> 00:36:56,920 Speaker 2: but is he going to be there? I don't know. 847 00:36:57,040 --> 00:37:00,560 Speaker 2: So now the Wizards are signed up with Christaph's Porzingis 848 00:37:00,560 --> 00:37:02,960 Speaker 2: through the twenty twenty four season, and they have to 849 00:37:03,000 --> 00:37:06,279 Speaker 2: decide on the bal extension this summer. So they're either 850 00:37:06,320 --> 00:37:09,880 Speaker 2: building around Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzingis or they're building 851 00:37:09,880 --> 00:37:13,960 Speaker 2: around Kristaps Porzingis. That's a scary situation to be in 852 00:37:13,960 --> 00:37:14,799 Speaker 2: in twenty twenty two. 853 00:37:14,840 --> 00:37:16,400 Speaker 5: Did you have them on your short list here? 854 00:37:16,760 --> 00:37:19,839 Speaker 6: Yes, the Mavericks were clearly just like, we just want 855 00:37:19,840 --> 00:37:22,160 Speaker 6: to get rid of Porzingis and they get back a 856 00:37:22,200 --> 00:37:24,279 Speaker 6: couple of you know again, okay players, It's like if 857 00:37:24,320 --> 00:37:25,879 Speaker 6: you go, if you've got twenty dollars and you want 858 00:37:25,880 --> 00:37:27,879 Speaker 6: to break it, it's easy. If you've got two tens, 859 00:37:27,920 --> 00:37:29,640 Speaker 6: you can break that a little bit easier than the twenty, 860 00:37:29,640 --> 00:37:32,880 Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying. But for me, for the 861 00:37:33,840 --> 00:37:36,040 Speaker 6: but I mean, no one uses cash anymore, but that's 862 00:37:36,040 --> 00:37:37,799 Speaker 6: how it used to be for the kids out there. 863 00:37:38,480 --> 00:37:40,880 Speaker 6: But for the me. The real concern here still for 864 00:37:40,920 --> 00:37:43,960 Speaker 6: the MAVs is. I mean, Luca goes for fifty one 865 00:37:44,040 --> 00:37:46,640 Speaker 6: last night, but that's the problem when they come to 866 00:37:46,680 --> 00:37:48,919 Speaker 6: the playoffs is he has to do so much. These 867 00:37:48,920 --> 00:37:51,640 Speaker 6: other guys are going to help marginally, but I would 868 00:37:51,680 --> 00:37:54,000 Speaker 6: have liked to have seen something a little more significant 869 00:37:54,040 --> 00:37:55,879 Speaker 6: to say to Luca that we can actually go further 870 00:37:55,920 --> 00:37:59,160 Speaker 6: this year. Right now, again, I don't really see much 871 00:37:59,200 --> 00:38:01,640 Speaker 6: more than first round for the Mavericks. Even as great 872 00:38:01,680 --> 00:38:03,960 Speaker 6: as Luca can be, I just don't think he has 873 00:38:04,040 --> 00:38:04,600 Speaker 6: enough support. 874 00:38:05,360 --> 00:38:06,360 Speaker 5: Who do you have for a lose of that? 875 00:38:06,680 --> 00:38:08,600 Speaker 6: So I am going with the New York Knicks after 876 00:38:08,640 --> 00:38:11,000 Speaker 6: an incredible victory last night on the road against the 877 00:38:11,000 --> 00:38:12,959 Speaker 6: Golden State Warriors. But for the same sort of reason 878 00:38:13,000 --> 00:38:15,320 Speaker 6: as the Lakers that there was talk. There was rumors 879 00:38:15,320 --> 00:38:16,960 Speaker 6: out there that maybe they're looking to make a move 880 00:38:17,040 --> 00:38:19,239 Speaker 6: move off Fournier or kemball Walker or something like that. 881 00:38:19,320 --> 00:38:22,840 Speaker 6: Even Cam redishe they just picked up. But because of 882 00:38:22,880 --> 00:38:25,959 Speaker 6: that Cam Reddish deal a few weeks ago that didn't 883 00:38:26,040 --> 00:38:28,600 Speaker 6: lead to anything else. I don't really understand why they 884 00:38:28,719 --> 00:38:31,800 Speaker 6: made it, so to then have no other move made 885 00:38:31,920 --> 00:38:35,360 Speaker 6: by yesterday doesn't seem to have improved their team. Julius 886 00:38:35,400 --> 00:38:37,600 Speaker 6: Randall actually played last night with incredible energy. 887 00:38:37,640 --> 00:38:39,600 Speaker 5: He was what a bit of a tiny run here? 888 00:38:39,680 --> 00:38:41,840 Speaker 5: Right back to Randal, and I wonder. 889 00:38:41,600 --> 00:38:44,040 Speaker 6: If maybe you know, now that the deadline has passed, 890 00:38:44,440 --> 00:38:46,399 Speaker 6: there's a little bit of a release that happens. Yeah, 891 00:38:46,440 --> 00:38:49,160 Speaker 6: I think so. I think it does and so so. 892 00:38:49,320 --> 00:38:52,200 Speaker 6: But ultimately, they've got so much work still to do 893 00:38:52,239 --> 00:38:55,080 Speaker 6: here the Knicks to get back into just the playing tournament. 894 00:38:55,360 --> 00:38:57,799 Speaker 6: So this season hasn't gone well, and I think they 895 00:38:57,800 --> 00:39:00,280 Speaker 6: would have liked to have made just something, just a 896 00:39:00,280 --> 00:39:03,080 Speaker 6: little move here whatever, to show that that Cameradish move 897 00:39:03,320 --> 00:39:06,200 Speaker 6: was more than just a sort of like, let's just 898 00:39:06,200 --> 00:39:08,399 Speaker 6: make this trade, because that's all it was. But yeah, 899 00:39:08,400 --> 00:39:09,840 Speaker 6: he did play last night and he actually had some 900 00:39:09,920 --> 00:39:12,040 Speaker 6: nice moves and he scored a few buckets there, so 901 00:39:12,320 --> 00:39:14,359 Speaker 6: that was good. Will they give him some more time yet? 902 00:39:14,400 --> 00:39:15,960 Speaker 6: Will they just say, well, we tried it for him, 903 00:39:16,080 --> 00:39:17,600 Speaker 6: Let's just go ahead and say what he can do. 904 00:39:17,920 --> 00:39:19,799 Speaker 5: A team the Knicks are chasing and the standings. I'm 905 00:39:19,800 --> 00:39:21,800 Speaker 5: going to give a loser of the deadline too. I 906 00:39:21,800 --> 00:39:24,280 Speaker 5: think I'm in the minority here actually too. The Charlotte Hornets, 907 00:39:24,360 --> 00:39:26,799 Speaker 5: I didn't love the Montres Harral move I know they 908 00:39:26,800 --> 00:39:28,719 Speaker 5: gave up nothing. They gave up the guy that was 909 00:39:28,719 --> 00:39:31,239 Speaker 5: in or just goes to camp and there's Smith. But 910 00:39:31,840 --> 00:39:34,200 Speaker 5: so that is nothing. I'll admit that. But I just 911 00:39:34,280 --> 00:39:36,279 Speaker 5: like I wish they had been in the market for 912 00:39:36,280 --> 00:39:38,560 Speaker 5: a center for so long. It's all we talked about, 913 00:39:39,200 --> 00:39:41,400 Speaker 5: and they get one in Montres Harrold, but not the 914 00:39:41,400 --> 00:39:44,120 Speaker 5: center that we were expecting or thinking that could help 915 00:39:44,160 --> 00:39:47,040 Speaker 5: them because they're one of the worst defenses in the league. Yeah, 916 00:39:47,080 --> 00:39:49,480 Speaker 5: there's zero rim protection on that team, and Montrez Hail 917 00:39:49,560 --> 00:39:51,680 Speaker 5: is not gonna help there now, Tre said yesterday when 918 00:39:51,680 --> 00:39:55,480 Speaker 5: we were reacting to this, immediately, they're just leaning into like, well, 919 00:39:55,560 --> 00:39:57,320 Speaker 5: let's just try and score one hundred and forty points 920 00:39:57,320 --> 00:39:59,319 Speaker 5: and Montres Haerl can help us do that and give 921 00:39:59,360 --> 00:40:01,960 Speaker 5: him and off bench high energy. I get it, but 922 00:40:02,000 --> 00:40:03,840 Speaker 5: I think it would really nice to address a weakness 923 00:40:04,000 --> 00:40:07,720 Speaker 5: if you could. And I guess after Sabona's got traded 924 00:40:07,760 --> 00:40:11,040 Speaker 5: there was no move from als Turner. The Spurs feel 925 00:40:11,040 --> 00:40:13,840 Speaker 5: like Yaka Purto is, you know, part of their future 926 00:40:13,880 --> 00:40:15,560 Speaker 5: here at least for a little bit of building block. 927 00:40:15,600 --> 00:40:18,040 Speaker 5: I guess as one of their talented bigs with all 928 00:40:18,080 --> 00:40:20,600 Speaker 5: their young guards and then even like if Rashaun Holmes 929 00:40:20,640 --> 00:40:22,000 Speaker 5: or something like maybe would have helped a little bit 930 00:40:22,040 --> 00:40:23,680 Speaker 5: more and said they go with Mantras Herald and they 931 00:40:23,680 --> 00:40:26,920 Speaker 5: have like they it's funny. They almost have like a 932 00:40:27,000 --> 00:40:29,799 Speaker 5: Raptors like team where everybody's six six six seven, six'. 933 00:40:29,880 --> 00:40:32,520 Speaker 5: Eight but the problem is nobody plays. Defense so it 934 00:40:32,560 --> 00:40:34,960 Speaker 5: works for The raptors because everybody get gets on it 935 00:40:35,000 --> 00:40:37,319 Speaker 5: at that, end but they you, know The hornets just 936 00:40:37,320 --> 00:40:39,840 Speaker 5: switch across the, board but they don't stop. Anybody SO 937 00:40:39,920 --> 00:40:41,799 Speaker 5: i was just like, A i don't, know tiny little 938 00:40:41,800 --> 00:40:45,600 Speaker 5: disappointed that they couldn't get a center that would help a. 939 00:40:45,640 --> 00:40:47,840 Speaker 5: Weakness really like to really BECAUSE i THINK i have 940 00:40:47,880 --> 00:40:50,040 Speaker 5: The hornets like they're gonna be in the playing. TOURNAMENT 941 00:40:50,280 --> 00:40:52,000 Speaker 5: i think they've fallen back to earth. HERE i think 942 00:40:52,000 --> 00:40:54,440 Speaker 5: teams start taking the season a little more seriously, now 943 00:40:54,600 --> 00:40:57,200 Speaker 5: so defense starts getting played a little, bit And i'm 944 00:40:57,200 --> 00:40:59,799 Speaker 5: just like a little concerned about, them you, know going 945 00:40:59,840 --> 00:41:01,600 Speaker 5: to a little bit in the rankings after a very hot. 946 00:41:01,640 --> 00:41:03,359 Speaker 6: Start, yeah well they've lust six in a row two, 947 00:41:03,360 --> 00:41:05,680 Speaker 6: here so, yeah they rot at five hundred AND i think. 948 00:41:05,560 --> 00:41:08,080 Speaker 5: That in classic timing With Gordon, hayward he's injured now 949 00:41:08,400 --> 00:41:10,680 Speaker 5: that always. Happens, yeah and he's important to their, team 950 00:41:10,800 --> 00:41:16,160 Speaker 5: but that's now with the. Ankle what's the update on that? Anyway, 951 00:41:16,200 --> 00:41:18,160 Speaker 5: yeah what do you? Think are you guys? FANS i, 952 00:41:18,160 --> 00:41:19,719 Speaker 5: KNOW i feel like a lot of people were, like, 953 00:41:19,760 --> 00:41:21,840 Speaker 5: Oh Montres harrald for nothing, good that's a. 954 00:41:21,920 --> 00:41:24,279 Speaker 4: NAME i. Know, well, YEAH i mean that's WHAT i 955 00:41:24,320 --> 00:41:26,560 Speaker 4: think the general consensus was out. There, yes it would 956 00:41:26,600 --> 00:41:30,040 Speaker 4: have been nice to have somebody protecting the. Rim the 957 00:41:30,120 --> 00:41:32,400 Speaker 4: couple names he threw out, there Ra Shn holmes not 958 00:41:32,440 --> 00:41:34,600 Speaker 4: really a room, Protector Miles. Turner it's interesting what The 959 00:41:34,600 --> 00:41:37,640 Speaker 4: pacers are. Doing wasn't that long ago they said fire 960 00:41:37,719 --> 00:41:40,080 Speaker 4: sale and they gave away two of their players or 961 00:41:40,120 --> 00:41:42,040 Speaker 4: they traded two of their players and Krisl Vernon Montsi. 962 00:41:42,040 --> 00:41:44,359 Speaker 4: Bons BUT i guess they just didn't get an offer 963 00:41:44,400 --> 00:41:46,920 Speaker 4: For Miles turner BECAUSE i think he still will be 964 00:41:46,920 --> 00:41:50,200 Speaker 4: on the board come the. Offseason but you, know they 965 00:41:50,280 --> 00:41:55,319 Speaker 4: got a great guard potential In Tyrese, haliburton AND i 966 00:41:55,320 --> 00:41:58,680 Speaker 4: guess they didn't want to do that With James booknight 967 00:41:58,880 --> 00:42:01,160 Speaker 4: or something to that. Nature with The Charlotte, HORNS i 968 00:42:01,200 --> 00:42:04,399 Speaker 4: THINK i think they were out there trying to get 969 00:42:04,520 --> 00:42:07,520 Speaker 4: somebody who could help on the defensive, end Because Mantrez 970 00:42:07,560 --> 00:42:09,640 Speaker 4: harrol is at least it's going to catch the ball 971 00:42:09,960 --> 00:42:14,400 Speaker 4: and score a little, bit because that doesn't happen sometimes 972 00:42:14,400 --> 00:42:15,600 Speaker 4: With Mason. Plumbley this is. 973 00:42:15,560 --> 00:42:18,000 Speaker 5: True also slip in The. That keaty hasn't, 1142 00:49:47,719 --> 00:49:50,520 Speaker 5: either but just like he just he looks so, angry 1143 00:49:50,760 --> 00:49:53,800 Speaker 5: so just. SCRUNTLED i think he's putting it on a little. 1144 00:49:53,840 --> 00:49:58,280 Speaker 5: Bit but it works perfectly With lebron being more goofy 1145 00:49:58,400 --> 00:50:00,560 Speaker 5: and trying to get his jokes. In it's like it 1146 00:50:00,560 --> 00:50:02,759 Speaker 5: wouldn't work if it was Two lebron's doing, that you 1147 00:50:02,760 --> 00:50:04,839 Speaker 5: know WHAT i mean of? That it's not as funny this, 1148 00:50:04,880 --> 00:50:06,640 Speaker 5: way it's. Amazing it, Was, yeah. 1149 00:50:06,440 --> 00:50:09,480 Speaker 4: It's like they're cutting a wrestling. Promo maybe he was, 1150 00:50:09,560 --> 00:50:13,719 Speaker 4: like he's not messing. Around you, know when it first was, 1151 00:50:13,800 --> 00:50:16,760 Speaker 4: proposed it wasn't on. Television in twenty, eighteen the draft 1152 00:50:16,840 --> 00:50:20,600 Speaker 4: was not ON. Tv and NOW i would worry it's 1153 00:50:20,640 --> 00:50:22,719 Speaker 4: like in twenty, nineteen twenty, twenty that they'd cut out 1154 00:50:22,719 --> 00:50:25,560 Speaker 4: the good. Parts you, know like sometimes a celebrities can 1155 00:50:25,560 --> 00:50:28,200 Speaker 4: control what the hell is going on in the final, 1156 00:50:28,280 --> 00:50:31,759 Speaker 4: cut and Maybe Kevin durant wouldn't want to be asked 1157 00:50:31,760 --> 00:50:34,400 Speaker 4: About James. Harden but the league, is you, know so 1158 00:50:34,520 --> 00:50:38,920 Speaker 4: far into THE wwufc kind of you know sphere where 1159 00:50:38,920 --> 00:50:40,880 Speaker 4: they're just like all, RIGHT i mean everything's going that, 1160 00:50:40,880 --> 00:50:45,480 Speaker 4: way so it's, like just let it. RIP i was 1161 00:50:45,520 --> 00:50:47,960 Speaker 4: actually just going through footage for our top seventy. Five 1162 00:50:47,960 --> 00:50:50,440 Speaker 4: GUESS i Asked Adam silver about this in twenty, Eighteen, 1163 00:50:50,560 --> 00:50:52,480 Speaker 4: hey why is it not ON? Tv Adam, silver what's going? 1164 00:50:52,520 --> 00:50:54,839 Speaker 4: On he, goes it's our first, year it's going to get. 1165 00:50:54,880 --> 00:50:56,680 Speaker 4: Better and it did get, better you, Guy it's gotten 1166 00:50:56,719 --> 00:50:59,720 Speaker 4: better every single. Year and, yeah they just Allow ernie 1167 00:50:59,760 --> 00:51:02,560 Speaker 4: and to rip and they show every single minute of. 1168 00:51:02,600 --> 00:51:05,680 Speaker 2: Them, yeah, yeah that's. Great it's like one of the 1169 00:51:05,719 --> 00:51:09,040 Speaker 2: few times that you actually get to hear the best 1170 00:51:09,040 --> 00:51:11,560 Speaker 2: players in the league talking about the other best players 1171 00:51:11,560 --> 00:51:13,400 Speaker 2: in the league and they're choosing who they want to 1172 00:51:13,400 --> 00:51:16,239 Speaker 2: be running. Alongside SO i don't, know it's just it's 1173 00:51:16,239 --> 00:51:18,239 Speaker 2: super funny to, Me, like, YEAH i Think durant is 1174 00:51:18,239 --> 00:51:21,280 Speaker 2: the perfect. Stuff And barkley is like obviously a key 1179 00:51:31,640 --> 00:51:34,160 Speaker 2: component of it because he will say whatever to all 1180 00:51:34,200 --> 00:51:35,759 Speaker 2: of these guys and he can say it because He's. 1181 00:51:35,760 --> 00:51:39,520 Speaker 4: Barkley, yeah and they let it breathe like they allow 1182 00:51:39,600 --> 00:51:43,280 Speaker 4: for silence because after The Rudy gobert and The James harden, 1183 00:51:43,520 --> 00:51:46,719 Speaker 4: scenario THEY i, mean there was just like, nothing there 1184 00:51:46,760 --> 00:51:49,040 Speaker 4: was dead. Air but it was, Great, yeah because it got. 1185 00:51:49,080 --> 00:51:51,919 Speaker 4: Awkward and that's When lebron came, In like it could 1186 00:51:51,920 --> 00:51:55,880 Speaker 4: have been if it was an unseasoned. Host ernie could have, 1187 00:51:55,880 --> 00:51:57,520 Speaker 4: said all, right we gotta go to break, yeah, Whatever 1188 00:51:58,000 --> 00:52:00,439 Speaker 4: but he allowed it to breathe and that's when the, said, 1189 00:52:00,680 --> 00:52:04,000 Speaker 4: hey Is james? Hurt and then you know there's The chuck. 1190 00:52:04,080 --> 00:52:07,200 Speaker 4: Line so they allowed the you, know the. Criticize they are subjecting themselves two years 1457 01:03:49,560 --> 01:03:51,920 Speaker 4: of mediocrity by trading Away pick And Josh hart And 1458 01:03:52,080 --> 01:03:55,880 Speaker 4: Kail Alexander. Walker but it's all About Zion williams a 1459 01:03:55,960 --> 01:03:58,200 Speaker 4: coming back and hopefully there's good news on that front 1460 01:03:58,200 --> 01:04:01,000 Speaker 4: at some point because they deferately their point guard. Back and, 1461 01:04:01,080 --> 01:04:03,880 Speaker 4: YES i websiting he's their point. Guard he runs. Everything, 1462 01:04:04,200 --> 01:04:06,760 Speaker 4: Now Brandon ingram has been doing a good job keeping things, 1463 01:04:06,800 --> 01:04:08,320 Speaker 4: afloat AND i think they were just trying to GET. 1464 01:04:08,320 --> 01:04:10,720 Speaker 4: Cj McCollum. Going in his first, game he hit some, 1465 01:04:10,720 --> 01:04:14,040 Speaker 4: shots BUT cj McCollum shot twenty one times And Brandon 1466 01:04:14,160 --> 01:04:17,120 Speaker 4: ingram was just letting him. Rip he kind of just 1467 01:04:17,120 --> 01:04:19,880 Speaker 4: faded to the background in this, game and So ingram, 1468 01:04:19,960 --> 01:04:21,960 Speaker 4: is you, know the guy that makes everything. Go but 1469 01:04:22,000 --> 01:04:26,280 Speaker 4: it was A they're playing a heat team and so 1470 01:04:26,520 --> 01:04:29,640 Speaker 4: they were comfortable allowing those, shots And, INGRAM i think 1471 01:04:29,720 --> 01:04:33,240 Speaker 4: was a little comfortable allowing them as. Well so that'll come. 1472 01:04:33,280 --> 01:04:35,080 Speaker 4: Around but this season is all About Zion. WEBSON i 1473 01:04:35,120 --> 01:04:36,600 Speaker 4: think they're in a good spot to make this play in, 1474 01:04:36,640 --> 01:04:40,640 Speaker 4: tournament DON'T i don't think The kings and The, blazers 1475 01:04:40,640 --> 01:04:43,040 Speaker 4: who are trailing them now and The spurs don't make. 1476 01:04:43,080 --> 01:04:45,680 Speaker 4: It but who the heck, Knows so they're in a 1477 01:04:45,720 --> 01:04:49,600 Speaker 4: good Spot zion WHERE i don't. Eater and the intro 1713 01:15:35,120 --> 01:15:38,639 Speaker 5: to the show is like it's like this heavy metal 1714 01:15:38,800 --> 01:15:42,280 Speaker 5: like it seems like the worst like almost hyper masculine show. 1715 01:15:42,280 --> 01:15:45,479 Speaker 5: Ever it's like this is stupid like relax. Day when we were like fourteen or fifteen years, 1969 01:27:35,560 --> 01:27:38,400 Speaker 5: old because my high school was pretty close to my, 1970 01:27:38,439 --> 01:27:40,639 Speaker 5: house sometimes we would go back to my place for 1971 01:27:41,000 --> 01:27:44,479 Speaker 5: lunch usually and it was like my Buddy, grash my Buddy, 1972 01:27:44,520 --> 01:27:47,080 Speaker 5: dub and Then Rob, armstrong Who i've broughten up many 1973 01:27:47,120 --> 01:27:50,320 Speaker 5: times on this podcast. Before and one specific time we 1974 01:27:50,320 --> 01:27:52,280 Speaker 5: were at my. PLACE i don't know WHY i said, 1975 01:27:52,320 --> 01:27:54,200 Speaker 5: no But rob asked if you could have a, coke 1976 01:27:55,160 --> 01:27:57,080 Speaker 5: and like we always had like coke products in the, 1977 01:27:57,080 --> 01:27:59,240 Speaker 5: house and for some REASON i said. NO i don't know. 1978 01:27:59,280 --> 01:28:01,600 Speaker 5: Why maybe we were running, low MAYBE i was just 1979 01:28:01,640 --> 01:28:03,599 Speaker 5: being LIKE i didn't want him to have. One for whatever, 1980 01:28:03,640 --> 01:28:05,840 Speaker 5: REASON i don't know, why BUT i said, no, No 1981 01:28:06,000 --> 01:28:07,960 Speaker 5: and he, said, okay, well CAN i at least get 1982 01:28:08,240 --> 01:28:10,839 Speaker 5: a glass of? Water i'm, like, yeah go help. Yourself 1983 01:28:11,040 --> 01:28:14,200 Speaker 5: so he comes back and he's got this big glass 1984 01:28:14,439 --> 01:28:16,280 Speaker 5: but it's like a plastic cup that you can't see. 1985 01:28:16,360 --> 01:28:19,200 Speaker 5: Through and so we're hanging out whatever during, Lunch i'm 1986 01:28:19,200 --> 01:28:21,799 Speaker 5: sure we're, eating and Like rob is like he's tilting 1987 01:28:21,840 --> 01:28:25,120 Speaker 5: the glass back his water and he's drinking it, weird 1988 01:28:25,240 --> 01:28:27,880 Speaker 5: like he's just like slowly doing, it and then like 1989 01:28:27,960 --> 01:28:31,000 Speaker 5: he just. Is we notice how strange it. Was and 1990 01:28:31,080 --> 01:28:33,240 Speaker 5: like an hour, later as we're getting ready to, leave 1991 01:28:33,560 --> 01:28:35,639 Speaker 5: Like i'm putting away things like getting ready to head 1992 01:28:35,640 --> 01:28:37,599 Speaker 5: out the door back to, school AND i noticed that 1993 01:28:37,640 --> 01:28:40,240 Speaker 5: he had taken a coke and he had put it 1994 01:28:40,320 --> 01:28:43,519 Speaker 5: in this giant plastic cup and then cracked it in, 1995 01:28:43,560 --> 01:28:45,600 Speaker 5: there and then every time he went to drink his, 1996 01:28:45,720 --> 01:28:49,400 Speaker 5: water it would like the kid would like slide to 1997 01:28:49,520 --> 01:28:52,000 Speaker 5: the end and he would like very, gently like a 1998 01:28:52,080 --> 01:28:54,640 Speaker 5: little taste of Cook AND i just thought it was 1999 01:28:54,680 --> 01:28:57,880 Speaker 5: the funniest thing.
