Well, maybe agency is a tough word. There's 0:04:52.760 --> 0:04:56.240 huge argument about angels and free will that dates back 0:04:56.240 --> 0:04:58.640 to the beginning of a lot of myths. That's one 0:14:20.840 --> 0:14:23.440 of the not depressing Twilight Zones, and that's one of 0:14:23.480 --> 0:14:26.720 the I think that's one of the only recurrent characters 0:14:26.760 --> 0:14:29.400 in the Twilight Zone universe other than you know, my 0:14:29.520 --> 0:14:32.160 boy Rod Serling. Yeah, angels have been depicted 0:14:43.840 --> 0:14:47.200 as androgynous beans at time, which is strange because it 0:14:47.240 --> 0:14:51.440 doesn't really jibe with some of the ancient angel stories, 0:14:51.480 --> 0:14:55.600 which will we'll get to right And for the true believers, 0:14:56.120 --> 0:14:59.400 angels in the modern day largely function as they did 0:14:59.480 --> 0:15:03.720 in the past, more directly. They're bringing messages from a 0:15:03.800 --> 0:15:09.520 deity and accomplishing earthly task for that power, perhaps specifically 0:15:09.640 --> 0:15:13.520 focusing on one person. There have been many alleged relics 0:16:04.520 --> 0:16:09.880 right there, not only depictions and art, but also feathers 0:16:10.080 --> 0:16:14.600 or ectoplasm that purportedly manifested during a divine sighting, interaction 0:16:14.840 --> 0:16:19.880 and situation. For lack of a better phrase, and the 0:16:20.040 --> 0:16:25.040 overwhelming mass of what people interpret as proof of angels 0:16:25.160 --> 0:16:29.080 up to this point has unfortunately been based on anecdotes, 0:16:29.200 --> 0:16:32.720 personal belief and faith. Again, this is not to deride 0:16:32.760 --> 0:16:35.800 anybody who believes in these entities, nor is it meant 0:16:35.840 --> 0:16:40.760 to dismiss your personal views. It's it's best to call 0:16:40.840 --> 0:16:45.880 it unfortunate simply because without physical, verifiable evidence, most people 0:16:45.880 --> 0:16:48.720 who do not believe in these sorts of creatures will 0:16:48.880 --> 0:16:52.760 never see a reason to change their minds. Otherwise they'll say, oh, 0:16:52.920 --> 0:16:55.320 you have a story right where let's say you had 0:16:55.320 --> 0:16:59.320 a near death experience and you spoke with something that 0:16:59.360 --> 0:17:01.440 you perceived be an angel that told you you still 0:17:01.440 --> 0:17:03.840 had work to do, and then you woke up in 0:17:03.840 --> 0:17:07.560 the hospital right miraculously recovering. You have been dead for 0:17:07.600 --> 0:17:10.280 anywhere from two to thirteen minutes or something like that, 0:17:10.320 --> 0:17:13.879 your heart wasn't beating. I think it's tradition.
