There's 0:13:26.297 --> 0:13:28.777 gonna be a lot of negotiation, but it's not necessarily 0:13:28.777 --> 0:13:32.177 going to happen. Are we heading toward Iran's getting the nukes, 0:13:32.577 --> 0:13:34.817 or Iran's going to suffer through massive air strikes to 0:13:34.857 --> 0:13:36.417 stop them from getting the nukes. I mean, are we 0:13:36.497 --> 0:13:38.777 on is that the trajector right now? Or is the 0:13:38.777 --> 0:13:42.257 third way still possible? Well, I think that there are 0:13:42.297 --> 0:13:45.497 some alternatives that are possible, And first and foremost, I 0:13:45.537 --> 0:13:47.897 think the biggest mistake would be for the President or 0:13:47.897 --> 0:13:50.817 anyone else to lead us into a one on one 0:13:50.897 --> 0:13:54.497 situation with the run. We have some substantial allies in 0:13:54.537 --> 0:13:57.497 the region that have skin in this game, and in 0:13:57.537 --> 0:13:59.897 some ways we should allow them to step up and 0:13:59.937 --> 0:14:03.137 play their role. We we know for sure that Israel 0:14:03.257 --> 0:14:05.977 is quite concerned and would probably be willing and able 0:14:06.017 --> 0:14:09.657 to act independently if it got to nuclear breakout territory 0:14:09.697 --> 0:14:13.737 any but the Saudis have a pretty deep vested interest, 0:14:14.017 --> 0:14:15.617 and one of the key parts of this trip was 0:14:15.657 --> 0:14:20.977 supposedly applying some good traditional realism to American foreign policy 0:14:21.297 --> 0:14:26.297 in engaging the largest, most capable ally in the region 0:14:26.377 --> 0:14:31.177 to balance and deter the Iranians. And this focus can't 0:14:31.217 --> 0:14:32.977 just be in the nuclear program. It has to be 0:14:33.017 --> 0:14:37.137 on the leadership, and they're building a stronger balance of 0:14:37.257 --> 0:14:41.297 power against Iran. That's what was lost when the Biden 0:14:41.377 --> 0:14:45.977 team minimized or sort of brushed aside, the Abraham Accords approach. 0:14:46.617 --> 0:14:50.577 So there's also, of course, the Saudi situation.
