Most notoriously, 0:03:08.040 --> 0:03:13.480 in twenty twenty two, Florida Governor Ronda Satan's signed the 0:03:13.720 --> 0:03:17.280 Stop Woke Act, which prohibited educators from teaching lessons on 0:03:17.400 --> 0:03:23.960 race or LGBTQ issues. All right back to Nashville. So 0:03:24.040 --> 0:03:30.760 we have a few questions, as promised. Before we get 0:03:30.800 --> 0:03:33.959 to the questions, let me paint a picture. This paints 0:03:33.960 --> 0:03:39.280 a picture quite well. Someone asked early on when the 0:03:39.320 --> 0:03:44.640 details are still coming out, did the shooter act alone? Right? 0:03:45.480 --> 0:03:47.320 And I saw a response online that I want to 0:03:47.320 --> 0:03:50.440 share with you. I think you'll love it. The shooter 0:03:50.520 --> 0:03:52.840 did not act alone. The shooter was aided by the 0:03:52.960 --> 0:03:58.800 NRA and forty nine Republican senators. That is a fact. 0:03:59.120 --> 0:04:05.920 Now there are people who will say that the Republican 0:04:06.040 --> 0:04:11.080 senators have tried to do this or that or the 0:04:11.160 --> 0:04:18.960 other thing, and most notably Republicans wanted to put more 0:04:18.960 --> 0:04:22.680 police officers in schools. Right, put together a bill that 0:04:23.279 --> 0:04:26.359 puts more police officers in schools and more guns in 0:04:26.400 --> 0:04:28.919 the hands of citizens. There you go and teachers a 0:04:28.960 --> 0:04:32.159 few things, but you know that absolutely is one of 0:04:32.160 --> 0:04:35.160 them too. But the one that there was a lot 0:04:35.160 --> 0:04:38.359 of opposition to from the democratic side of things is 0:04:38.400 --> 0:04:44.680 that we've seen that police and schools often has a 0:04:44.760 --> 0:04:51.720 negative impact on black and brown students. They're often arrested 0:04:51.839 --> 0:04:56.280 and punished and criminalized, and it just fortifies the school 0:04:56.320 --> 0:04:59.800 to prison pipeline. They're very much Second Amendment purists, 0:06:44.560 --> 0:06:47.120 but they leave off the part of the Second Amendment 0:06:47.200 --> 0:06:50.279 that says that we should have a well regulated militia. 0:06:51.520 --> 0:06:53.720 They don't like the well regulated part, but they do 0:06:53.839 --> 0:06:56.839 like the right to bear arms part. However, 0:09:35.800 --> 0:09:40.679 the news reports suggest that this was a genetic biological 0:09:40.679 --> 0:09:46.959 female that carried out the shooting. So this person was 0:09:47.000 --> 0:09:49.280 a twenty eight year old former student of the school. 0:09:50.440 --> 0:09:54.720 Nashville Police Chief John Drake said at a news conference 0:09:55.720 --> 0:09:57.880 this would have been Tuesday. The shooter had left behind 0:09:57.920 --> 0:10:00.679 a manifesto, Drake said, which included a map of the 0:10:00.679 --> 0:10:05.600 school with details about how he would enter and carry 0:10:05.600 --> 0:10:12.280 out an attack. So the motive of this shooter, I 0:10:12.440 --> 0:10:18.720 cannot begin to imagine what would get a person to 0:10:18.800 --> 0:10:31.400 go that far, but I suspect that it might be 0:10:31.440 --> 0:10:37.120 a response to hate. Again, I'm not justifying it. I'm 0:10:37.160 --> 0:10:40.640 just saying that there might be something there. If this 0:10:40.720 --> 0:10:45.560 person is a transgender individual been pushed to the edge 0:10:45.600 --> 0:10:50.520 because of recent events, you know, maybe there's something there. 0:10:50.640 --> 0:10:54.920 I don't know. Three of those weapons, including two assault style firearms, 0:11:49.080 --> 0:11:52.560 were used in the shooting. The shooter was under a 0:11:53.640 --> 0:11:59.120 quote doctor's care for an emotional disorder, but law enforcement 0:11:59.200 --> 0:12:03.360 knew nothing about the treatment. And then it goes on 0:12:03.400 --> 0:12:05.559 to say, in some states, so called red flag laws 0:12:05.559 --> 0:12:08.199 and power law enforcement to confiscate weapons due to mental 0:12:08.200 --> 0:12:13.479 illness or concerns from relatives. They might get a 0:12:49.520 --> 0:12:51.080 bunch of pills because they can't get them all in 0:12:51.080 --> 0:12:53.439 the same place. So there's systems in place that prevent 0:12:53.480 --> 0:12:56.080 you from going to multiple locations and stocking up on 0:12:56.640 --> 0:12:59.560 whatever this medicine. And I don't know the details on 0:12:59.600 --> 0:13:02.800 how to do this, but I was reading this, and 0:13:03.559 --> 0:13:07.160 I was reading this the person who's who had compiled 0:13:07.200 --> 0:13:09.960 this information was doing so in an attempt to suggest 0:13:10.040 --> 0:13:16.560 that it is possible to put together an alert system 0:13:17.559 --> 0:13:19.480 for people who are going from this store to the 0:13:19.480 --> 0:13:21.480 next door to the next door to buy guns, because 0:13:21.480 --> 0:13:27.080 it exists for this whatever this medicine was.
