She was 0:03:07.520 --> 0:03:10.040 a marine, a mom to three kids. 0:03:10.240 --> 0:03:13.800 And Tiffany was the victim of domestic violence that ultimately 0:03:13.800 --> 0:03:14.560 took her life. 0:03:14.960 --> 0:03:18.320 This week, Tiffany Hill of Vancouver was laid to rest 0:03:18.440 --> 0:03:21.960 in her hometown of Brooklyn, New York. Her tragic death 0:03:22.200 --> 0:03:25.359 still surreal for her mother and three children. 0:03:25.760 --> 0:03:28.440 If she'd been given in two or three minutes to 0:03:28.639 --> 0:03:31.800 think about it before he showed up or driven off, 0:03:31.800 --> 0:03:33.320 she was in her car, she could have driven off 0:03:33.360 --> 0:03:35.440 and maybe driven straight to the sheriff's office. 0:03:36.560 --> 0:03:39.600 Tiffany Hill was a young mother of three who was 0:03:39.720 --> 0:03:43.680 killed by her estranged husband in twenty nineteen. Tiffany had 0:03:43.680 --> 0:03:47.600 met her husband, Keeland Hill, while in the Marines. She 0:03:47.640 --> 0:03:50.160 had received a number of high honors in the military 0:03:50.560 --> 0:03:53.920 and was largely regarded as a warm and compassionate person. 0:03:54.680 --> 0:03:58.160 Tiffany was honorably discharged in two thousand and eight and 0:03:58.240 --> 0:04:02.240 shortly thereafter mar kid and that's when the trouble began. 0:04:03.400 --> 0:04:07.160 Keeland was a regular abuser, prone to mental manipulation in 0:04:07.200 --> 0:04:13.800 physical violence. In twenty sixteen, the family moved to Vancouver, Washington. There, 0:04:14.040 --> 0:04:16.640 neighbors were call seeing police cards in front of their 0:04:16.680 --> 0:04:20.440 house regularly. One neighbor said he had a bad feeling 0:04:20.520 --> 0:04:24.560 about Keeland. He told a reporter quote, he would just 0:04:24.600 --> 0:04:27.360 stare me down for some reason. He just had an 0:04:27.400 --> 0:04:31.800 eerie feeling to him end quote. In September twenty nineteen, 0:04:32.320 --> 0:04:35.680 an incident occurred where Keelan threw Tiffany to the ground. 0:04:36.360 --> 0:04:39.120 One of the children had called a relative and Tiffany 0:04:39.160 --> 0:04:41.719 tried to use Alexa to call nine one one, but 0:04:41.839 --> 0:04:45.719 Keeland had unplugged the device so that she couldn't. After 0:04:45.760 --> 0:04:49.440 this incident, Keeland was arrested and charged with fourth degree assault, 0:04:50.279 --> 0:04:54.080 and Tiffany finally decided to leave him. She then obtained 0:04:54.080 --> 0:04:57.640 a no contact order, which barred Keeland from going within 0:04:57.680 --> 0:05:00.720 two hundred and fifty feet of Tiffany or contacting her 0:05:00.760 --> 0:05:04.880 in person or over the phone, but then Keielan attempted 0:05:04.880 --> 0:05:07.919 to purchase a bolt action rifle from a Portland Walmart. 0:05:08.400 --> 0:05:11.080 He told the employee he wanted to quote take care 0:05:11.120 --> 0:05:14.880 of vermin on his property end quote. Over the next 0:05:14.880 --> 0:05:18.400 few weeks, Keeland would appear at restaurants where Tiffany was 0:05:18.400 --> 0:05:22.240 taking her children. She called the police and they found 0:05:22.240 --> 0:05:25.440 a tracking device a fixed to her car. She told 0:05:25.440 --> 0:05:28.600 detectives quote, I know he's going to kill me if 0:05:28.600 --> 0:05:32.200 he's not held accountable for his actions. I'm so scared 0:05:32.240 --> 0:05:36.760 for my life and my kids' lives end quote. Keielan 0:05:36.839 --> 0:05:39.320 then went to jail, where a judge set bail at 0:05:39.320 --> 0:05:43.560 two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Tiffany's lawyers asked to 0:05:43.560 --> 0:05:46.480 have the bail set to two million, but that request 0:05:46.600 --> 0:05:51.120 was denied and Keeland was able to post bail. Four 0:05:51.200 --> 0:05:54.160 days later, when Tiffany was picking up her kids from school, 0:05:54.920 --> 0:05:58.080 Keeland approached the car and opened fire with a semi 0:05:58.160 --> 0:06:03.400 automatic pistol, killing Tiffany in injuring her mother. He sped 0:06:03.440 --> 0:06:06.839 off and was chased by police before hitting afternoon traffic. 0:06:07.520 --> 0:06:09.640 He then got out of the car and shot and 0:06:09.720 --> 0:06:14.320 killed himself Tiffany Hill had repeatedly worn the authorities of 0:06:14.360 --> 0:06:17.840 the danger she was in, and Kieland expressed to multiple people, 0:06:18.160 --> 0:06:22.520 including police, his intent to do harm. Despite this, he 0:06:22.680 --> 0:06:25.320 was somehow able to stalk Tiffany and obtain a gun. 0:06:26.160 --> 0:06:29.920 And so who was Tiffany Hill, How was Keeland Hill 0:06:30.040 --> 0:06:33.040 able to stalk and kill Tiffany?
