Anyway, morning, everybody, we are to 136 00:05:10,880 --> 00:05:11,600 Speaker 5: breakfast club. 137 00:05:11,680 --> 00:05:14,400 Speaker 1: Let's get in some front page news. What's up, Mimi, 138 00:05:14,720 --> 00:05:15,279 Speaker 1: Good morning. 139 00:05:15,320 --> 00:05:16,720 Speaker 10: That was me trying to keep my eyes open. 140 00:05:16,839 --> 00:05:18,760 Speaker 1: Okay, me tired. 141 00:05:18,760 --> 00:05:19,600 Speaker 5: It was out last night. 142 00:05:20,000 --> 00:05:23,080 Speaker 7: MEMI was in there looking like a bodega batty reporter. 143 00:05:27,480 --> 00:05:29,760 Speaker 11: All right, y'all, So we start this morning with the 144 00:05:29,839 --> 00:05:33,040 Speaker 11: latest on the chaos at the nation's airports. There are 145 00:05:33,120 --> 00:05:35,320 Speaker 11: signs that it may be getting better, so President Trump 146 00:05:35,360 --> 00:05:38,239 Speaker 11: says he plans to order that TSA officers be paid 147 00:05:38,279 --> 00:05:41,640 Speaker 11: after working for weeks without pay during the government funding 148 00:05:41,680 --> 00:05:44,320 Speaker 11: fight over the Department of Homeland Security. So about fifty 149 00:05:44,400 --> 00:05:47,839 Speaker 11: thousand TSA workers they've been going without a paycheck for 150 00:05:47,880 --> 00:05:49,800 Speaker 11: more than a month, and that has led to major 151 00:05:49,839 --> 00:05:52,920 Speaker 11: problems at airports across the country. We've all seen the videos. 152 00:05:53,560 --> 00:05:56,320 Speaker 11: Officers have been calling out six some have quit, and 153 00:05:56,360 --> 00:05:59,159 Speaker 11: security lines in some cities have stretched for hours. So 154 00:05:59,200 --> 00:06:02,680 Speaker 11: the federal government and they are now moving some TSA 155 00:06:02,720 --> 00:06:06,200 Speaker 11: officers around the country to deal with the worst problem spot. So, 156 00:06:06,240 --> 00:06:08,480 Speaker 11: for an example, agents from Dallas they're going to go 157 00:06:08,560 --> 00:06:11,240 Speaker 11: to Houston to help out with long lines there. The 158 00:06:11,320 --> 00:06:14,440 Speaker 11: President says the government will use the money that was 159 00:06:14,480 --> 00:06:18,040 Speaker 11: already approved last year to start paying TSA officers again. 160 00:06:18,680 --> 00:06:22,000 Speaker 11: That move could bring more workers back into the workplace 161 00:06:22,040 --> 00:06:25,320 Speaker 11: to help get those airport lines under control, especially as 162 00:06:25,320 --> 00:06:27,280 Speaker 11: we head into a busy travel season. 163 00:06:27,520 --> 00:06:28,719 Speaker 1: It is still spring break. 164 00:06:29,279 --> 00:06:31,320 Speaker 12: But this does not end the shutdown. 165 00:06:31,400 --> 00:06:34,000 Speaker 11: Lawmakers have not reached a deal to fund the Department 166 00:06:34,040 --> 00:06:37,400 Speaker 11: of Homeland Security, and that is still adding to frustrations. 167 00:06:37,440 --> 00:06:41,160 Speaker 11: So Congress. They are set to leave Washington today for 168 00:06:41,200 --> 00:06:44,640 Speaker 11: a two week recess still without a deal, and some 169 00:06:44,720 --> 00:06:47,880 Speaker 11: TSA union workers say ICE agents are not really helping. 170 00:06:47,960 --> 00:06:50,480 Speaker 11: They're actually just kind of getting in the way. Let's 171 00:06:50,480 --> 00:06:54,520 Speaker 11: listen to a TSA union worker and what he's feeling. 172 00:06:54,240 --> 00:06:57,000 Speaker 3: About this a lot of personal Let why don't I 173 00:06:57,000 --> 00:06:59,159 Speaker 3: don't think we need them here? We need to be 174 00:06:59,200 --> 00:07:03,160 Speaker 3: faith Why would you bring another agency to be TSA 175 00:07:03,240 --> 00:07:06,239 Speaker 3: when you already have TSA. They've been standing around outside 176 00:07:06,560 --> 00:07:09,480 Speaker 3: the whole time, so I would hate to call out 177 00:07:09,520 --> 00:07:12,640 Speaker 3: another agency. But what I'm getting from some of the 178 00:07:12,680 --> 00:07:15,280 Speaker 3: officers is that they're just in the way. Now, we're 179 00:07:15,320 --> 00:07:18,720 Speaker 3: just now we're on top of having the heavy burden. Well, 180 00:07:18,720 --> 00:07:20,800 Speaker 3: now we have to train them in how we do 181 00:07:20,920 --> 00:07:21,400 Speaker 3: our job. 182 00:07:22,000 --> 00:07:26,200 Speaker 2: I agree, it's unnecessary fear, it's unnecessary anxiety. They're getting 183 00:07:26,200 --> 00:07:29,120 Speaker 2: paid the TSA workers or not, And the TSA workers 184 00:07:29,120 --> 00:07:32,880 Speaker 2: got to train them to do a job that they're 185 00:07:32,960 --> 00:07:33,640 Speaker 2: getting paid for. 186 00:07:33,800 --> 00:07:35,560 Speaker 5: But the TESSA work is on, So that's more work. 187 00:07:35,440 --> 00:07:40,920 Speaker 1: For the train another slap in our face. I'm bringing 188 00:07:40,920 --> 00:07:42,360 Speaker 1: the agency and it's getting paid to work. 189 00:07:42,440 --> 00:07:42,520 Speaker 13: Now. 190 00:07:42,640 --> 00:07:44,920 Speaker 2: Yeah sounds but now I got to train you. So 191 00:07:45,080 --> 00:07:46,760 Speaker 2: now I got to do more work that I'm not 192 00:07:46,800 --> 00:07:47,440 Speaker 2: getting paid for. 193 00:07:47,760 --> 00:07:50,080 Speaker 6: And they're the reason that I'm not getting paid in 194 00:07:50,120 --> 00:07:52,560 Speaker 6: there in my face getting paid exactly. 195 00:07:53,320 --> 00:07:56,520 Speaker 11: I'm in Atlanta. Well, 503 00:20:43,359 --> 00:20:44,960 Speaker 12: first of all, I know, we were having a conversation 504 00:20:45,040 --> 00:20:47,040 Speaker 12: about the songs, like because you know, they do the 505 00:20:47,080 --> 00:20:49,720 Speaker 12: ten songs each and we were trying to figure out 506 00:20:49,720 --> 00:20:51,040 Speaker 12: here because remember we were going to do a little 507 00:20:51,040 --> 00:20:52,760 Speaker 12: mini mix, what songs we would play for Tank, what 508 00:20:52,800 --> 00:20:54,920 Speaker 12: songs we played for Tyrese. And I was like, well, 509 00:20:54,960 --> 00:20:56,800 Speaker 12: Tank got a lot of songs that he's written that 510 00:20:56,840 --> 00:20:58,199 Speaker 12: a lot of people don't know where to give him 511 00:20:58,200 --> 00:21:01,399 Speaker 12: credit for. So last night he did oh O Marion's oh, 512 00:21:01,440 --> 00:21:03,439 Speaker 12: And I didn't know that that was I did not 513 00:21:03,560 --> 00:21:05,800 Speaker 12: know that. That's always the cheat code in the versus. 514 00:21:06,119 --> 00:21:08,000 Speaker 4: Yeah, out of the songs that you you know what 515 00:21:08,000 --> 00:21:10,080 Speaker 4: I mean, it's it's not just about the songs that 516 00:21:10,160 --> 00:21:12,280 Speaker 4: you perform, it's it's your career. So the songs that 517 00:21:12,320 --> 00:21:15,000 Speaker 4: he writ the songs that he was he performed that 518 00:21:15,080 --> 00:21:18,040 Speaker 4: he wrote, the songs that he appeared on like Tyresee 519 00:21:18,040 --> 00:21:20,919 Speaker 4: and Chicky like Chi came out last night, did the 520 00:21:20,920 --> 00:21:24,480 Speaker 4: hook to that? So that's about your whole career, Like, 521 00:21:24,760 --> 00:21:27,000 Speaker 4: if you're going to do take send the boys on 522 00:21:27,080 --> 00:21:29,719 Speaker 4: tour because they were on I don't know. 523 00:21:29,800 --> 00:21:32,919 Speaker 7: I just felt like, no, like do your songs. You 524 00:21:32,920 --> 00:21:33,440 Speaker 7: know what I'm saying. 525 00:21:33,480 --> 00:21:35,480 Speaker 6: I know you wrote the song, but if you're not 526 00:21:35,520 --> 00:21:37,480 Speaker 6: the artist, I just felt like, if you you're not 527 00:21:37,560 --> 00:21:39,160 Speaker 6: going against another writer. 528 00:21:39,080 --> 00:21:42,399 Speaker 2: I agree, it should be your catalog because when Sean, 529 00:21:43,000 --> 00:21:45,080 Speaker 2: Sean Garrett and The Dream went against each other, that 530 00:21:45,119 --> 00:21:46,800 Speaker 2: made a lot of sense because they had their own songs, 531 00:21:46,800 --> 00:21:49,080 Speaker 2: but they also wrote a lot of songs. If you 532 00:21:49,280 --> 00:21:52,119 Speaker 2: are a writer, you should be going up against somebody 533 00:21:52,119 --> 00:21:54,680 Speaker 2: that actually has written a lot of songs, Like Justice said, 534 00:21:54,720 --> 00:21:55,119 Speaker 2: I agree. 535 00:21:55,320 --> 00:21:55,520 Speaker 14: Well. 536 00:21:55,920 --> 00:21:59,359 Speaker 12: There was also another song moment, original song moment that 537 00:21:59,680 --> 00:22:01,840 Speaker 12: you know was everywhere last night as well too. So 538 00:22:02,520 --> 00:22:05,840 Speaker 12: in between the sets, Tyree was changing outfits. It was 539 00:22:05,880 --> 00:22:07,480 Speaker 12: like a whole rollout, Like they got there for the 540 00:22:07,520 --> 00:22:09,200 Speaker 12: rehearsal that was like an outfit thing and then he's 541 00:22:09,240 --> 00:22:12,919 Speaker 12: on stage or changing outfits, and uh, tank makes it 542 00:22:12,960 --> 00:22:14,880 Speaker 12: a funny moment. It was funny throughout the whole show, 543 00:22:14,880 --> 00:22:16,800 Speaker 12: but makes it a funny moment about tyresas turtle neck. 544 00:22:16,880 --> 00:22:17,640 Speaker 12: Let's say listen. 545 00:22:23,400 --> 00:22:26,760 Speaker 5: That anytime you feel. 546 00:22:26,560 --> 00:22:36,760 Speaker 19: Like a Tank off that turn on that. 547 00:22:35,880 --> 00:22:38,640 Speaker 7: Oh, I know, I know that was on a fly, 548 00:22:38,760 --> 00:22:39,080 Speaker 7: That's like. 549 00:22:39,119 --> 00:22:42,000 Speaker 6: That was a while ano like and Tank is so 550 00:22:42,160 --> 00:22:44,440 Speaker 6: tangless and on the spot and funny, so I know. 551 00:22:44,480 --> 00:22:45,720 Speaker 1: That you ain't got nothing. 552 00:22:46,520 --> 00:22:48,879 Speaker 5: Yes, we got to Yes. 553 00:22:51,520 --> 00:22:54,080 Speaker 12: Was there and he did. There were certain songs that 554 00:22:54,200 --> 00:22:55,600 Speaker 12: we were waiting for him to hear, but Signs of 555 00:22:55,640 --> 00:22:56,840 Speaker 12: Love Making was one of the ones that I saw 556 00:22:56,840 --> 00:23:00,880 Speaker 12: that I was like Micro's on. I saw people online 557 00:23:00,920 --> 00:23:03,760 Speaker 12: saying they were giving it to Tank, and I didn't 558 00:23:03,760 --> 00:23:05,239 Speaker 12: get to watch it full one, so I don't have 559 00:23:05,480 --> 00:23:11,440 Speaker 12: I don't have any pick. You watch more of it 560 00:23:11,560 --> 00:23:12,040 Speaker 12: than we did. 561 00:23:12,119 --> 00:23:12,600 Speaker 1: I watched it. 562 00:23:12,720 --> 00:23:15,200 Speaker 4: I would say, of course, you know more of Tyree's songs, 563 00:23:15,240 --> 00:23:18,280 Speaker 4: but I think Tank was more of the showman last. 564 00:23:18,119 --> 00:23:20,000 Speaker 1: Night, so entertaining. He was more entertaining. 565 00:23:20,000 --> 00:23:21,800 Speaker 4: He was playing to the women and he was talking 566 00:23:21,800 --> 00:23:23,879 Speaker 4: to the to the crowd, so I would put a 567 00:23:24,640 --> 00:23:26,720 Speaker 4: smack Dad in the middle, and he's not like. The 568 00:23:26,760 --> 00:23:28,600 Speaker 4: reason I like Tank is I did not know a 569 00:23:28,600 --> 00:23:30,760 Speaker 4: lot of Tank songs, but it was still entertaining for me. 570 00:23:31,200 --> 00:23:34,320 Speaker 4: I knew Tyree's song so I could vibe with Tyree's songs. Yeah, 571 00:23:34,359 --> 00:23:36,560 Speaker 4: it was dope, but J say, ray. 572 00:23:36,520 --> 00:23:37,480 Speaker 1: J had an opinion. 573 00:23:37,520 --> 00:23:40,680 Speaker 12: Let's listen, you can't take sorry, I gotta rap. We 574 00:23:40,960 --> 00:23:42,600 Speaker 12: We'll have to get back to that next hour because 575 00:23:42,640 --> 00:23:44,880 Speaker 12: ray J called a winner himself or somebody thought lost. 576 00:23:44,880 --> 00:23:46,159 Speaker 12: We'll get into that in the next latest. 577 00:23:46,280 --> 00:23:48,440 Speaker 4: All right, when we come back, we got front page 578 00:23:48,480 --> 00:23:50,159 Speaker 4: news and then Fettie Wopp will be joining us. 579 00:23:50,160 --> 00:23:52,720 Speaker 1: And don't go anywhere. It's the breakfast Club. Good morning warning. 580 00:23:52,760 --> 00:23:56,280 Speaker 4: Everybody is dj n V, Jesse Larras, Charlamagne the guy. 581 00:23:56,320 --> 00:23:58,840 Speaker 4: We are the Breakfast Club. Let's get to some front 582 00:23:58,880 --> 00:23:59,719 Speaker 4: page news. 583 00:24:00,240 --> 00:24:00,720 Speaker 1: What's uping me? 584 00:24:01,359 --> 00:24:04,240 Speaker 11: Good morning Envy, Josh, Charlaagne, How y'all doing this Friday? 585 00:24:04,560 --> 00:24:07,320 Speaker 8: Me say it again? 586 00:24:07,800 --> 00:24:18,800 Speaker 20: Hah wow wow clown wow wow wow. 587 00:24:19,280 --> 00:24:19,440 Speaker 13: Ok. 588 00:24:19,520 --> 00:24:22,600 Speaker 11: Ahead, start this hour with some breaking news out of Washington. 589 00:24:22,640 --> 00:24:24,919 Speaker 11: So this is an update from the last hour. So, 590 00:24:25,000 --> 00:24:27,480 Speaker 11: after a forty day shutdown, the Senate has reached a 591 00:24:27,520 --> 00:24:30,359 Speaker 11: deal to fund the Department of Homeland Security, at least 592 00:24:30,400 --> 00:24:33,520 Speaker 11: part of it. So senators approved a deal at two 593 00:24:33,600 --> 00:24:36,520 Speaker 11: twenty this morning, after in all night session. 594 00:24:37,000 --> 00:24:38,200 Speaker 12: So here's what the deal does. 595 00:24:38,240 --> 00:24:41,359 Speaker 11: It would fund TSA, FEMA and Coast Guard, and several 596 00:24:41,359 --> 00:24:45,399 Speaker 11: other Homeland security agencies, which would help keep airports open 597 00:24:45,560 --> 00:24:48,479 Speaker 11: travel back to normal. But the deal does not include 598 00:24:48,520 --> 00:24:52,880 Speaker 11: funding for ice deportation enforcement operations, and so that has 599 00:24:52,880 --> 00:24:55,719 Speaker 11: been the main source of the main issue that's been 600 00:24:55,720 --> 00:24:58,560 Speaker 11: holding everything up. So this comes just hours though after 601 00:24:58,600 --> 00:25:01,160 Speaker 11: President Trump said that he would move to immediately pay 602 00:25:01,240 --> 00:25:04,879 Speaker 11: TSAY officers of course, who have been working, you know, 603 00:25:04,920 --> 00:25:08,119 Speaker 11: for weeks without pay. So this still could bring some relief, 604 00:25:08,160 --> 00:25:10,280 Speaker 11: especially at airports, but it's not done yet. It has 605 00:25:10,320 --> 00:25:13,399 Speaker 11: to be passed by the House and lawmakers are still 606 00:25:13,440 --> 00:25:16,240 Speaker 11: scheduled to leave Washington today, but it is expected to 607 00:25:16,240 --> 00:25:18,040 Speaker 11: be signed by the President if they can get that done, so. 608 00:25:18,040 --> 00:25:20,480 Speaker 2: They won't get paid to day because today is a day, 609 00:25:21,800 --> 00:25:22,560 Speaker 2: their pay day. 610 00:25:22,640 --> 00:25:24,000 Speaker 11: I doubt it will. 611 00:25:23,960 --> 00:25:26,120 Speaker 1: Happen today, but maybe next week. 612 00:25:26,119 --> 00:25:27,560 Speaker 5: And I mean I used to still be in airport 613 00:25:27,560 --> 00:25:27,960 Speaker 5: this weekend. 614 00:25:28,160 --> 00:25:32,480 Speaker 11: Pretty much, pretty much, pretty much and switching gears. There's 615 00:25:32,520 --> 00:25:35,480 Speaker 11: a new fight brewing between the state of Florida and 616 00:25:35,520 --> 00:25:38,520 Speaker 11: the National Football League over something called the Rooney Rule. 617 00:25:39,000 --> 00:25:42,159 Speaker 11: Of Florida's Attorney general is now demanding that the NFL 618 00:25:42,280 --> 00:25:45,399 Speaker 11: suspend the rule, saying it violates Florida's law because it 619 00:25:45,440 --> 00:25:48,560 Speaker 11: considers race in the hiring process. So are you all 620 00:25:48,600 --> 00:25:50,960 Speaker 11: familiar with the Rooney rule and what it does. 621 00:25:51,560 --> 00:25:53,640 Speaker 2: So you have to interview a certain amount of black 622 00:25:54,600 --> 00:25:56,000 Speaker 2: candidates for the head coaching jobs. 623 00:25:56,119 --> 00:26:00,720 Speaker 11: Yeah, so it does not require teams to hire them, 624 00:26:00,720 --> 00:26:05,480 Speaker 11: but you have to interview them for a minority coach 625 00:26:05,800 --> 00:26:08,560 Speaker 11: or head job or a front office job to make 626 00:26:08,560 --> 00:26:11,160 Speaker 11: sure more people are getting a fair shot at the job. Well, 627 00:26:11,200 --> 00:26:13,120 Speaker 11: the NFL, they put the rules in place the years 628 00:26:13,119 --> 00:26:17,000 Speaker 11: ago after criticism that more black coaches were not getting 629 00:26:17,240 --> 00:26:20,720 Speaker 11: those opportunities. A supporter say the rule opens the doors, 630 00:26:20,800 --> 00:26:24,760 Speaker 11: creates fair competition, but critics say hiring should be completely 631 00:26:25,040 --> 00:26:28,240 Speaker 11: race neutral. And now Florida is warning the NFL that 632 00:26:28,400 --> 00:26:31,120 Speaker 11: the rule. If the rule isn't suspended, the state will 633 00:26:31,160 --> 00:26:35,000 Speaker 11: take legal action. And Florida is home to what three. 634 00:26:35,000 --> 00:26:43,400 Speaker 2: NFL teams, Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, Yes, Jacksonville. 635 00:26:42,960 --> 00:26:48,200 Speaker 11: Okay, and switching gears again. Comedian Drew Ski he's getting 636 00:26:48,240 --> 00:26:51,080 Speaker 11: a lot of backlash this morning from conservatives. 637 00:26:51,600 --> 00:26:52,399 Speaker 1: He's hilarious. 638 00:26:53,000 --> 00:26:54,480 Speaker 12: Well, he posted a. 639 00:26:54,440 --> 00:26:58,560 Speaker 11: Skit online called how Conservative Women Act in America and 640 00:26:58,560 --> 00:27:00,080 Speaker 11: that's where he puts on a blonde wig. 641 00:27:00,160 --> 00:27:00,960 Speaker 12: Heavy makeup. 642 00:27:01,119 --> 00:27:04,840 Speaker 11: He plays a dramatic conservative character in a series of 643 00:27:05,000 --> 00:27:09,119 Speaker 11: over the top scenes. He's praying at rally's, doing long speeches, 644 00:27:09,280 --> 00:27:10,760 Speaker 11: ordering fancy dog treats. 645 00:27:10,800 --> 00:27:11,280 Speaker 10: The whole thing. 646 00:27:11,320 --> 00:27:12,880 Speaker 12: I think we have a little bit of a snippet. 647 00:27:13,440 --> 00:27:14,560 Speaker 1: War is raising in Iran. 648 00:27:14,680 --> 00:27:18,240 Speaker 8: We're praying, We're praying for all the soldiers and truth 649 00:27:18,280 --> 00:27:18,840 Speaker 8: that you're praying. 650 00:27:18,880 --> 00:27:20,639 Speaker 4: But I've had all the kids that died when in 651 00:27:20,640 --> 00:27:22,120 Speaker 4: the USA hit the ow. 652 00:27:22,640 --> 00:27:24,879 Speaker 5: It broke my heart. You gotta. 657 00:27:41,920 --> 00:27:43,880 Speaker 12: Have seen it, but you got to see it. 658 00:27:43,920 --> 00:27:46,560 Speaker 5: But yes, that is Drewski's makeup artist is amazing. 659 00:27:46,880 --> 00:27:47,320 Speaker 7: My God. 660 00:27:47,480 --> 00:27:52,159 Speaker 2: Yes, everybody that keeps h at Erica Kirk, those not 661 00:27:52,240 --> 00:27:52,960 Speaker 2: your friends, Erica. 662 00:27:53,000 --> 00:27:54,280 Speaker 5: Anybody sent you that video. 663 00:27:54,520 --> 00:27:56,240 Speaker 2: Any of your friends sent you that video and said 664 00:27:56,280 --> 00:27:57,479 Speaker 2: Drewski's making fun of you. 665 00:27:57,680 --> 00:27:58,640 Speaker 5: They not your friends. 666 00:27:58,760 --> 00:28:00,680 Speaker 2: And that's how they see you. It wasn't even It wasn't even a great 842 00:34:57,400 --> 00:34:59,640 Speaker 19: area to have that conversation with nobody. 843 00:35:00,080 --> 00:35:01,799 Speaker 2: Is there any resentment from people because of that because 844 00:35:01,800 --> 00:35:02,800 Speaker 2: you set those boundaries. 845 00:35:02,880 --> 00:35:07,920 Speaker 19: I don't know. I don't speak to them the fund out. 846 00:35:08,320 --> 00:35:10,000 Speaker 4: You know, I wanted to know to after you did 847 00:35:10,200 --> 00:35:14,319 Speaker 4: the first album, your voice sounded a certain way right then, 848 00:35:14,400 --> 00:35:16,520 Speaker 4: right after you did the record. 849 00:35:17,160 --> 00:35:18,040 Speaker 1: The record that sticks. 850 00:35:17,800 --> 00:35:19,720 Speaker 4: Out of my mind is the record with Cali, And 851 00:35:19,719 --> 00:35:22,640 Speaker 4: in those records seemed like something changed with your voice. 852 00:35:23,000 --> 00:35:24,920 Speaker 1: What was that because in this project it seems like 853 00:35:24,920 --> 00:35:25,440 Speaker 1: you got it back. 854 00:35:25,440 --> 00:35:27,319 Speaker 4: And that was my fear always with you was like 855 00:35:27,719 --> 00:35:29,680 Speaker 4: the first time they heard you the raw vocals, it 856 00:35:29,760 --> 00:35:32,520 Speaker 4: sounded different. Then your voice changed, everything changed. I was like, well, 857 00:35:32,520 --> 00:35:33,920 Speaker 4: what was that change? And how did you get it 858 00:35:33,960 --> 00:35:35,040 Speaker 4: back to this? 859 00:35:35,680 --> 00:35:38,880 Speaker 19: Really it was like, uh, I was just trying like 860 00:35:38,960 --> 00:35:43,080 Speaker 19: different things, like because I was like trying to make 861 00:35:43,080 --> 00:35:45,560 Speaker 19: another chop point so much that I'm like, maybe I 862 00:35:45,560 --> 00:35:48,040 Speaker 19: should just try something else and then you know what 863 00:35:48,080 --> 00:35:49,959 Speaker 19: I mean, if it work, it works, if it don't, 864 00:35:50,000 --> 00:35:53,000 Speaker 19: then I'll just go back. But I was doing different 865 00:35:53,000 --> 00:35:54,880 Speaker 19: things so much I forgot how to you know what 866 00:35:54,920 --> 00:35:57,160 Speaker 19: I mean, Like I forgot how to spit back. But 867 00:35:57,560 --> 00:35:59,600 Speaker 19: I'm like, you know what, this time I set back 868 00:35:59,640 --> 00:36:01,680 Speaker 19: in It's like I got to get back in that groove. 869 00:36:01,760 --> 00:36:04,400 Speaker 19: So with this whole project, it was more so like 870 00:36:04,480 --> 00:36:06,360 Speaker 19: let me just try to be more of a creator 871 00:36:06,440 --> 00:36:10,359 Speaker 19: than a creative than than just just trying to make 872 00:36:10,480 --> 00:36:12,000 Speaker 19: songs to put out you know what I'm saying. So what 1306 00:52:50,719 --> 00:52:52,800 Speaker 12: were the convers what are the conversations like just about 1307 00:52:52,800 --> 00:52:54,640 Speaker 12: that time, because they probably wanted to know what that 1308 00:52:54,680 --> 00:52:55,319 Speaker 12: time period was. 1309 00:52:55,280 --> 00:52:55,560 Speaker 1: Like for you. 1310 00:52:55,800 --> 00:52:57,959 Speaker 19: They knew what was going on, Like I still smoke 1311 00:52:58,000 --> 00:53:00,120 Speaker 19: some over the phone. Yeah, as far as like I'm 1312 00:53:00,160 --> 00:53:02,480 Speaker 19: going to see me in prison now, you know, it's 1313 00:53:02,520 --> 00:53:06,520 Speaker 19: just it's like, uh when I visit over man, like, 1314 00:53:06,520 --> 00:53:08,680 Speaker 19: like I said, they got the power, you know what 1315 00:53:08,680 --> 00:53:11,200 Speaker 19: I mean? Like like one thing I can't say though, 1316 00:53:11,400 --> 00:53:13,359 Speaker 19: the only good thing is like they allow you to. 1317 00:53:13,320 --> 00:53:14,120 Speaker 8: Have your kid with you. 1318 00:53:14,160 --> 00:53:18,120 Speaker 19: The whole time, Like you can see them them the 1319 00:53:18,160 --> 00:53:20,560 Speaker 19: whole time. They can sit on your line right there 1320 00:53:20,840 --> 00:53:23,360 Speaker 19: at the entire time, you know what I'm saying. But 1321 00:53:23,400 --> 00:53:24,520 Speaker 19: when it's over, it's over. 1322 00:53:24,800 --> 00:53:24,920 Speaker 8: Ye. 1323 00:53:25,400 --> 00:53:29,120 Speaker 19: And when they say all right, that come on, like, no, 1324 00:53:29,280 --> 00:53:31,719 Speaker 19: I can't come right now. So when you're coming, like 1325 00:53:32,239 --> 00:53:35,480 Speaker 19: I mean, I don't want to keep having this conversation 1326 00:53:35,680 --> 00:53:36,959 Speaker 19: every week, then I go back. 1327 00:53:38,080 --> 00:53:40,160 Speaker 8: They could just be somebody playing at the wrong time. 1328 00:53:40,280 --> 00:53:40,759 Speaker 8: You know what I mean. 1329 00:53:40,840 --> 00:53:43,160 Speaker 19: I'm mad that I can't go with my kids and 1330 00:53:43,200 --> 00:53:45,879 Speaker 19: somebody say something crazy. Now you know what I mean. 1331 00:53:46,000 --> 00:53:49,120 Speaker 19: Now you know got to happen. I mean, so I. 1332 00:53:49,080 --> 00:53:51,240 Speaker 2: Would go after that makes the bit harder or easier? 1333 00:53:51,239 --> 00:53:53,640 Speaker 2: Would you rather I see them at all? Or see 1334 00:53:53,680 --> 00:53:55,480 Speaker 2: them every now and then make it easier? 1335 00:53:55,480 --> 00:53:57,520 Speaker 19: Okay, can make it easy because you're not looking forward 1336 00:53:57,520 --> 00:53:59,480 Speaker 19: to it, you know what I'm saying, Like you're not 1337 00:53:59,520 --> 00:54:02,239 Speaker 19: looking forward to it. And then like if you got 1338 00:54:02,320 --> 00:54:04,640 Speaker 19: people in the fast man, you know, like if you know, 1339 00:54:04,800 --> 00:54:07,040 Speaker 19: you know, man, like you could talk to your kids 1340 00:54:07,040 --> 00:54:07,480 Speaker 19: every day. 1341 00:54:08,200 --> 00:54:08,799 Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying. 1342 00:54:08,840 --> 00:54:11,120 Speaker 19: You can see your kids every day, Yeah, you know 1343 00:54:11,160 --> 00:54:12,880 Speaker 19: what I mean. Like, so if you're not making that 1344 00:54:12,960 --> 00:54:15,360 Speaker 19: effort unless you just don't got no money. Like I 1345 00:54:15,400 --> 00:54:17,960 Speaker 19: don't want to say it like that, but I mean 1346 00:54:18,239 --> 00:54:20,799 Speaker 19: the a launder dude like or or do something. It's 1347 00:54:20,840 --> 00:54:22,640 Speaker 19: a lot of it's a lot of jobs in jail 1348 00:54:22,680 --> 00:54:25,440 Speaker 19: you could do to be able to talk to your kids. 1349 00:54:25,640 --> 00:54:26,160 Speaker 8: Got you. 1350 00:54:26,680 --> 00:54:28,160 Speaker 1: We appreciate you for joining us. 1351 00:54:28,320 --> 00:54:30,280 Speaker 4: I would say one thing, one thing I do respect 1352 00:54:30,440 --> 00:54:32,760 Speaker 4: is I like to watch people when when the cameras 1353 00:54:32,760 --> 00:54:37,720 Speaker 4: are not on. And when I seen you leaving an event, 1354 00:54:37,880 --> 00:54:40,160 Speaker 4: a kid stopped you and just said, you know, they 1355 00:54:40,200 --> 00:54:42,480 Speaker 4: wanted a picture. And what impressed me is you sat 1356 00:54:42,520 --> 00:54:44,200 Speaker 4: there and you spoke to that kid for a minute, right, 1357 00:54:44,320 --> 00:54:46,600 Speaker 4: kid had no idea, but he was asking the kid like, 1358 00:54:46,760 --> 00:54:48,400 Speaker 4: so what do you like to do? Well, I do 1359 00:54:48,440 --> 00:54:50,160 Speaker 4: this And it was just like a connection where you 1360 00:54:50,160 --> 00:54:51,719 Speaker 4: didn't have to like what I mean, you could have 1361 00:54:51,719 --> 00:54:53,719 Speaker 4: just got out of there. You you know, you did 1362 00:54:53,719 --> 00:54:55,960 Speaker 4: what you had to do. But I respect that because 1363 00:54:56,320 --> 00:54:58,520 Speaker 4: for that kid when you when you left, he was happy. 1364 00:54:58,560 --> 00:55:01,200 Speaker 4: In opinion, I don't know what, but and I respect 1365 00:55:01,239 --> 00:55:03,120 Speaker 4: that the most because you make those connection with your 1366 00:55:03,120 --> 00:55:07,600 Speaker 4: fans and a lot of people don't because'm talking about 1367 00:55:08,560 --> 00:55:08,799 Speaker 4: and you. 1368 00:55:08,719 --> 00:55:11,280 Speaker 2: Don't know what you know what is that like something 1369 00:55:11,280 --> 00:55:14,760 Speaker 2: from your time, you know, just to get. 1370 00:55:17,520 --> 00:55:21,520 Speaker 19: Trying to say love the kids, I can say something. 1371 00:55:22,120 --> 00:55:24,000 Speaker 8: Yeah. Tyresee 1408 00:57:15,520 --> 00:57:19,680 Speaker 16: is completely trash. He always has been. I didn't just 1409 00:57:19,720 --> 00:57:22,280 Speaker 16: say that the Rocks headed as well, even though he's 1410 00:57:22,280 --> 00:57:25,440 Speaker 16: from WATS. It's just I think there's much more talent 1411 00:57:25,440 --> 00:57:26,440 Speaker 16: than people from WATS. 1412 00:57:26,840 --> 00:57:30,160 Speaker 5: That was a waste of time watched the whole versus. 1413 00:57:30,160 --> 00:57:32,080 Speaker 12: And but also he said tyree didn't sound better him. 1414 00:57:32,120 --> 00:57:33,920 Speaker 12: Y'all want to hear ra J when he was at versus, y'all. 1415 00:57:37,360 --> 00:57:42,960 Speaker 1: Wish to have a pens, wish to have a million blood. 1416 00:57:47,400 --> 00:57:53,240 Speaker 5: It is all unnecessary. 1417 00:57:54,080 --> 00:57:55,920 Speaker 7: Wow, but what do you got people? I always said that Tyree sounds amazing. 1424 00:58:15,960 --> 00:58:17,360 Speaker 12: I even told you that when I opened up the 1425 00:58:17,400 --> 00:58:20,640 Speaker 12: same we did. We played some of Tyree's last segment. Okay, 1426 00:58:21,080 --> 00:58:23,600 Speaker 12: so we're I wanted to mention too. They said Genu 1427 00:58:23,680 --> 00:58:24,760 Speaker 12: I was supposed to be at the verses, but he 1428 00:58:24,760 --> 00:58:26,440 Speaker 12: got caught up in all of them. The t s 1429 00:58:26,520 --> 00:58:28,320 Speaker 12: a mess at the airport and wasn't able to make 1430 00:58:28,360 --> 00:58:31,640 Speaker 12: it into the verses. People were looking for genuine. People 1431 00:58:31,760 --> 00:58:33,280 Speaker 12: are looking for them to do. They were supposed to 1432 00:58:33,280 --> 00:58:36,640 Speaker 12: close out the verses with genuine. That didn't happen. They 1433 00:58:36,640 --> 00:58:38,880 Speaker 12: were going to sing and dance. I'm assuming, but they 1434 00:58:38,960 --> 00:58:43,760 Speaker 12: have new music coming the club. Jamie Fox made it though, 1435 00:58:44,280 --> 00:58:47,520 Speaker 12: But okay, all right, So moving on other music news. 1436 00:58:48,120 --> 00:58:51,160 Speaker 12: The Kanye West I was going to say, uh, I 1437 00:58:51,200 --> 00:58:53,640 Speaker 12: don't even know how you intro this, but Kanye West, yay, 1438 00:58:54,080 --> 00:58:56,680 Speaker 12: he dropped music ish like I'm a little confused. They said, yes, 1444 00:59:07,960 --> 00:59:10,080 Speaker 12: it's coming out. I went to look this morning and 1445 00:59:10,160 --> 00:59:13,440 Speaker 12: I didn't see a new twenty twenty six Bully rendition 1446 00:59:13,720 --> 00:59:17,640 Speaker 12: on on streaming. But I don't know what Kanye 1468 01:00:09,520 --> 01:00:13,959 Speaker 2: could do to make people care about the new music 1469 01:00:14,080 --> 01:00:16,840 Speaker 2: in like a massive, massive way, you know what I mean, 1470 01:00:16,920 --> 01:00:18,360 Speaker 2: Like you know, you're not think about back in the day, 1471 01:00:18,360 --> 01:00:22,120 Speaker 2: how it was a frenzy around Kanye West's music, Like yeah, 1472 01:00:22,120 --> 01:00:22,600 Speaker 2: I didn't even know. 1473 01:00:22,640 --> 01:00:23,120 Speaker 5: He put out. 1474 01:00:23,360 --> 01:00:25,280 Speaker 12: See, That's what I'm saying. And that's why I confused 1475 01:00:25,280 --> 01:00:27,720 Speaker 12: me because I'm like, I'm googling, I'm trying to find it. 1476 01:00:27,800 --> 01:00:29,240 Speaker 12: But I think what it would be is he would 1477 01:00:29,280 --> 01:00:31,960 Speaker 12: have to be so super vulnerable and have to like 1478 01:00:32,120 --> 01:00:34,360 Speaker 12: not be vulnerable for like a rage bait, Like you 1479 01:00:34,400 --> 01:00:36,200 Speaker 12: know something the past Kanye West. 1480 01:00:36,080 --> 01:00:37,520 Speaker 1: Has been difference. 1481 01:00:37,760 --> 01:00:38,920 Speaker 5: Kanye's always been vulnerable. 1482 01:00:39,160 --> 01:00:41,640 Speaker 12: Yeah, but I feel like in his last like the 1483 01:00:41,720 --> 01:00:43,840 Speaker 12: last couple of projects, it's been like stuff that we 1484 01:00:44,000 --> 01:00:46,040 Speaker 12: don't It's been things that make people upset. 1485 01:00:46,120 --> 01:00:48,720 Speaker 4: If Kanye started, if he stopped pump faking it said 1486 01:00:48,760 --> 01:00:50,640 Speaker 4: my album is coming out this day, it would be 1487 01:00:51,040 --> 01:00:52,080 Speaker 4: it would be a lot more. 1488 01:00:52,280 --> 01:00:54,760 Speaker 1: It would be a frenzy for people to hear Kanye music. 1489 01:00:54,800 --> 01:00:56,520 Speaker 4: If he did a couple of interviews, I think he would, 1490 01:00:56,560 --> 01:00:59,520 Speaker 4: but he keeps pump faking You didn't you do press 1491 01:00:59,600 --> 01:01:00,840 Speaker 4: and didn't you even know if it came out? 1492 01:01:00,880 --> 01:01:06,360 Speaker 1: If it didn't come out, I can't down on the DBS. 1493 01:01:06,560 --> 01:01:11,160 Speaker 2: I actually think I actually think Kanye's antics over the 1494 01:01:11,280 --> 01:01:15,320 Speaker 2: last several years overshadow everything everything. So even when we 1495 01:01:15,440 --> 01:01:18,600 Speaker 2: hear about music or any project, you just think about, well, 1496 01:01:18,640 --> 01:01:19,520 Speaker 2: what's gonna come with that? 1497 01:01:21,080 --> 01:01:22,040 Speaker 5: The antics that are going. 1498 01:01:22,000 --> 01:01:24,000 Speaker 1: To still excited about Kanye and they still want to 1499 01:01:24,040 --> 01:01:25,880 Speaker 1: hear I know, I am yeah. 1500 01:01:26,160 --> 01:01:27,840 Speaker 5: And some of the sounds like it used to be there. 1501 01:01:28,000 --> 01:01:30,200 Speaker 12: It's different. It is different. But that's what I mean 1502 01:01:30,280 --> 01:01:32,240 Speaker 12: by vulnerable, not saying that he hasn't. We always know 1503 01:01:32,320 --> 01:01:34,800 Speaker 12: that Kanye West wears everything on his sleeping and his music. 1504 01:01:34,880 --> 01:01:36,800 Speaker 12: I just feel like the vulnerability over the last couple 1505 01:01:36,800 --> 01:01:38,240 Speaker 12: of years has been the antics that you guys are 1506 01:01:38,280 --> 01:01:38,760 Speaker 12: talking about. 1507 01:01:38,840 --> 01:01:40,400 Speaker 2: And that's why I think that if he comes out 1508 01:01:40,440 --> 01:01:43,800 Speaker 2: with an album like Bully and it's actually just great 1509 01:01:43,960 --> 01:01:46,600 Speaker 2: music and the focus is the music and we can 1510 01:01:46,720 --> 01:01:48,720 Speaker 2: get back to thinking about how great he was as 1511 01:01:48,760 --> 01:01:50,160 Speaker 2: an artist, that's the best. 1512 01:01:50,000 --> 01:01:50,480 Speaker 5: Thing for him. 1513 01:01:50,560 --> 01:01:53,320 Speaker 12: Yeah, and there are some I heard a new audio 1514 01:01:53,400 --> 01:01:55,240 Speaker 12: from his mom on this album, and he has like 1515 01:01:55,400 --> 01:01:58,240 Speaker 12: unreleased vocals on himself on this album, So I don't know. 1516 01:01:58,520 --> 01:01:59,920 Speaker 12: Once I get to hear the full we'll be back. 1517 01:02:00,080 --> 01:02:02,280 Speaker 1: But I did want to say, you're still selling our shows, right? 1518 01:02:02,320 --> 01:02:04,560 Speaker 1: He still He's so loud Japan. I started my career teaching. I spent fifteen 1827 01:15:02,240 --> 01:15:05,840 Speaker 13: years teaching in the New Haven Public schools, created a 1828 01:15:05,920 --> 01:15:10,599 Speaker 13: field called social and emotional learning, looking at the mental 1829 01:15:10,640 --> 01:15:12,800 Speaker 13: health issues and the challenges a lot of kids face 1830 01:15:12,920 --> 01:15:16,439 Speaker 13: across all income, race, gender, all that kind of stuff. 1831 01:15:17,280 --> 01:15:19,880 Speaker 13: Then spent the last twenty five years in Special Olympics 1832 01:15:20,400 --> 01:15:24,200 Speaker 13: working on disability, healing the gap between people who do 1833 01:15:24,360 --> 01:15:26,880 Speaker 13: and don't have intellectual developmental disabilities. In the last couple 1834 01:15:26,920 --> 01:15:28,760 Speaker 13: of years have been trying to figure out there's a 1835 01:15:28,800 --> 01:15:30,120 Speaker 13: way to heal the gaps in our country. 1836 01:15:30,560 --> 01:15:33,840 Speaker 5: You're a chairman, Yes, sir, Yes, yes, and Tim. 1837 01:15:34,160 --> 01:15:37,639 Speaker 2: Tim has created a survey at tracts how we're treating 1838 01:15:37,680 --> 01:15:41,120 Speaker 2: each other in America called the Dignity Barometer. 1839 01:15:41,400 --> 01:15:42,360 Speaker 5: The Dignity Barometer. 1840 01:15:42,640 --> 01:15:43,439 Speaker 15: What is that? 1841 01:15:43,880 --> 01:15:46,320 Speaker 13: So the question, you know, shar we've been asking, I 1842 01:15:46,400 --> 01:15:48,280 Speaker 13: think the country has been asking, is what's tearing us 1843 01:15:48,320 --> 01:15:51,080 Speaker 13: apart so badly? Why are we so angry? Why are 1844 01:15:51,160 --> 01:15:54,439 Speaker 13: we so anxious? Why are mental health problems growing? Why 1845 01:15:54,560 --> 01:15:57,719 Speaker 13: can't we talk about issues? Why can't we solve problems? 1846 01:15:58,200 --> 01:16:01,920 Speaker 13: Our view is that we sometime time I diagnose the problem. 1847 01:16:02,439 --> 01:16:05,720 Speaker 13: As we differ, come from different backgrounds, We don't think 1848 01:16:05,760 --> 01:16:08,360 Speaker 13: it's differences that are the problem. We think it's how 1849 01:16:08,400 --> 01:16:10,479 Speaker 13: we treat each other when we differ, which is a 1850 01:16:10,560 --> 01:16:13,719 Speaker 13: whole different set of questions. So we decided to measure 1851 01:16:13,800 --> 01:16:17,960 Speaker 13: how do Americans think about how they're treating one another? Uh, 1852 01:16:18,200 --> 01:16:20,120 Speaker 13: And that's the this is why we've we launched this. 1853 01:16:20,240 --> 01:16:22,760 Speaker 13: This is called a Dignity Barometer. And we think at 1854 01:16:22,800 --> 01:16:25,679 Speaker 13: the heart of figuring out how we get more justice, 1855 01:16:25,800 --> 01:16:29,479 Speaker 13: more joy, more progress as a country is figuring out 1856 01:16:29,520 --> 01:16:30,639 Speaker 13: ways to treat each other better. 1857 01:16:30,800 --> 01:16:32,200 Speaker 5: And that's what the survey tells us. 1858 01:16:32,320 --> 01:16:35,719 Speaker 2: This survey said that ninety four percent of Americans believe 1859 01:16:35,800 --> 01:16:39,080 Speaker 2: that all people deserve to be treated with dignity. 1860 01:16:39,280 --> 01:16:43,000 Speaker 5: So can you do you believe that? I'm not gonna 1861 01:16:43,040 --> 01:16:45,040 Speaker 5: lie the same high But who's gonna lie about that? 1862 01:16:45,200 --> 01:16:45,240 Speaker 13: No? 1863 01:16:45,560 --> 01:16:46,880 Speaker 12: I know, but I mean it's it is. 1864 01:16:47,280 --> 01:16:50,040 Speaker 13: We were hoping we would get like fifty five percent 1865 01:16:50,400 --> 01:16:52,640 Speaker 13: say yes, because I was worried when we asked that 1866 01:16:52,760 --> 01:16:55,400 Speaker 13: question it was going to be like forty or thirty percent. No, 1867 01:16:55,479 --> 01:16:57,240 Speaker 13: I don't think those people should be I don't think, 1868 01:16:57,600 --> 01:17:00,240 Speaker 13: you know, Republicans or Democrats. I don't think people that 1869 01:17:00,360 --> 01:17:02,639 Speaker 13: come from New York, or people that come from Missus whatever, 1870 01:17:02,960 --> 01:17:04,040 Speaker 13: you know. I thought we were going to get a 1871 01:17:04,160 --> 01:17:07,720 Speaker 13: up ninety four percent. Well, yeah, that's an aspirational goal 1872 01:17:07,800 --> 01:17:10,040 Speaker 13: for us as a country. And and and what's equally 1873 01:17:10,120 --> 01:17:13,160 Speaker 13: interesting I think in the barometer is that they say 1874 01:17:13,240 --> 01:17:16,759 Speaker 13: this is just as important, almost as important as the economy. 1875 01:17:17,760 --> 01:17:21,040 Speaker 13: People say, I think the number is eighty eighty six 1876 01:17:21,160 --> 01:17:24,960 Speaker 13: percent say the cost of living is the most important issue. 1877 01:17:25,280 --> 01:17:29,759 Speaker 13: The next one is eighty three percent say, you know, toxic, 1878 01:17:30,280 --> 01:17:33,519 Speaker 13: the toxic culture is the next most important issue. So 1879 01:17:33,680 --> 01:17:35,439 Speaker 13: it's it's it's a kitchen table We call it a 1880 01:17:35,520 --> 01:17:38,080 Speaker 13: kitchen table issue. When you're talking about the price of eggs, 1881 01:17:38,400 --> 01:17:40,639 Speaker 13: when you're talking about can you walk on a safe street, 1882 01:17:40,840 --> 01:17:43,799 Speaker 13: you're also talking about do you trust your fellow Americans. 1883 01:17:43,880 --> 01:17:46,439 Speaker 13: That's important to people, and they see it as a crisis. 1884 01:17:46,640 --> 01:17:48,000 Speaker 2: So what does that tell you about society when you 1885 01:17:48,040 --> 01:17:50,360 Speaker 2: see ninety four percent of Americans believe that people deserve 1886 01:17:50,400 --> 01:17:52,200 Speaker 2: to be treated with dignity, Like, what does that tell 1887 01:17:52,200 --> 01:17:52,960 Speaker 2: you society wants? 1888 01:17:53,320 --> 01:17:55,840 Speaker 13: It tells me that people are hungry for leadership to 1889 01:17:55,880 --> 01:17:59,080 Speaker 13: show them how to do that. They will great, They rate, 1890 01:17:59,520 --> 01:18:03,559 Speaker 13: they rate the problem is coming from politics and the media, honestly, 1891 01:18:04,080 --> 01:18:06,519 Speaker 13: but they also realize they're not living up to their 1892 01:18:06,560 --> 01:18:10,720 Speaker 13: own aspirations. This was surprising. More than half of Americans say, 1893 01:18:11,000 --> 01:18:13,600 Speaker 13: we're not doing this. You know, we want this, but 1894 01:18:13,680 --> 01:18:15,920 Speaker 13: we're not doing it. So it's a little bit like 1895 01:18:16,240 --> 01:18:19,640 Speaker 13: we're naming the problem as politics, you know, the algorithm 1896 01:18:19,720 --> 01:18:22,640 Speaker 13: and all that stuff, which is you know, really problematic, 1897 01:18:23,560 --> 01:18:26,360 Speaker 13: but we're also naming a problem that we can each 1898 01:18:26,439 --> 01:18:28,640 Speaker 13: be a part of solving. I said, you know the 1899 01:18:28,720 --> 01:18:31,000 Speaker 13: other day, just came out of my mouth. Not most 1900 01:18:31,000 --> 01:18:33,800 Speaker 13: of us can't solve the war in Iran, but we 1901 01:18:34,000 --> 01:18:35,360 Speaker 13: can solve the war at home. 1902 01:18:36,520 --> 01:18:36,880 Speaker 8: We can. 1903 01:18:37,160 --> 01:18:38,400 Speaker 5: That's it within our power. 1904 01:18:38,920 --> 01:18:42,000 Speaker 13: We don't have to wait for the president, senator, a governor, 1905 01:18:42,560 --> 01:18:45,759 Speaker 13: a mayor, police chief, superintendent of schools. 1906 01:18:45,840 --> 01:18:46,599 Speaker 5: We don't have to wait. 1907 01:18:46,760 --> 01:18:48,880 Speaker 13: I mean, if we had leadership from those people, it 1908 01:18:48,880 --> 01:18:51,160 Speaker 13: would be great, and we do have in some spots. 1909 01:18:51,920 --> 01:18:55,000 Speaker 13: But we can, we can heal this is you know, 1910 01:18:55,120 --> 01:18:58,759 Speaker 13: you've you've been talking for years now, charl about mental 1911 01:18:58,800 --> 01:19:01,839 Speaker 13: health and about the urgence you facing mental health issues. 1912 01:19:02,360 --> 01:19:05,760 Speaker 13: How do we build mental wealth you find and you 1913 01:19:05,880 --> 01:19:10,360 Speaker 13: feel like you're treated with dignity? Absolutely, that's where it starts. 1914 01:19:10,600 --> 01:19:13,000 Speaker 13: When your dignity is violated, How can you be healthy? 1915 01:19:14,240 --> 01:19:18,200 Speaker 13: How can you not resort to hostility and anger and violence. 1916 01:19:19,280 --> 01:19:21,040 Speaker 13: Our goal is to help people figure out how to 1917 01:19:21,120 --> 01:19:23,800 Speaker 13: find their own dignity and treat others with dignity. I 1918 01:19:23,880 --> 01:19:26,280 Speaker 13: think that would go a long way towards helping us 1919 01:19:26,320 --> 01:19:27,200 Speaker 13: get out of the mess we're in. 1920 01:19:27,640 --> 01:19:30,080 Speaker 12: I've seen you say, people who use this index, like 1921 01:19:30,160 --> 01:19:33,400 Speaker 12: in politics it won't like censor like government, Right, but 1922 01:19:33,520 --> 01:19:35,280 Speaker 12: how do you not censor, like looking at the people 1923 01:19:35,280 --> 01:19:37,559 Speaker 12: who lead our government in certain administrations or whatever, how 1924 01:19:37,560 --> 01:19:40,200 Speaker 12: do you not censor but also tell them to treat 1925 01:19:40,240 --> 01:19:42,240 Speaker 12: other people with dignity when a lot of what they're 1926 01:19:42,240 --> 01:19:44,759 Speaker 12: saying and doing is the opposite of treating people with dignity. 1927 01:19:45,120 --> 01:19:47,000 Speaker 13: Well, we're just trying to Like what I like to 1928 01:19:47,000 --> 01:19:50,160 Speaker 13: say is there's a new issue. So we might differ 1929 01:19:50,320 --> 01:19:52,479 Speaker 13: on what we should do in climate change, right, you 1930 01:19:52,600 --> 01:19:55,880 Speaker 13: and I, But we can discuss it, and you can say, well, 1931 01:19:55,920 --> 01:19:58,320 Speaker 13: on this moment, we should have done this, or we 1932 01:19:58,360 --> 01:20:03,040 Speaker 13: should be funding more for schools or whatever. On this issue, 1933 01:20:03,320 --> 01:20:06,960 Speaker 13: we should have discussions. Is it appropriate for the mayor, 1934 01:20:07,120 --> 01:20:10,000 Speaker 13: the governor, the president, the senator to speak this way? 1935 01:20:10,240 --> 01:20:10,280 Speaker 14: What? 1936 01:20:10,479 --> 01:20:13,280 Speaker 5: How do you defend using this much contempt. 1937 01:20:12,960 --> 01:20:17,439 Speaker 13: Mister mayor, mister uh madam senator, you know, madam, governor 1938 01:20:17,520 --> 01:20:18,000 Speaker 13: whatever it is. 1939 01:20:18,560 --> 01:20:20,560 Speaker 2: I like the second part of that. I don't like 1940 01:20:20,600 --> 01:20:23,160 Speaker 2: the first part because the first part is asking an answer. 1941 01:20:23,520 --> 01:20:25,840 Speaker 2: We know that is the way that they should be 1942 01:20:25,840 --> 01:20:28,600 Speaker 2: conducting themselves. So I think the second part, how do 1943 01:20:28,680 --> 01:20:29,960 Speaker 2: you how do you continue? 1944 01:20:30,040 --> 01:20:30,559 Speaker 1: Like what you say? 1945 01:20:30,800 --> 01:20:33,400 Speaker 13: Well, what I'm saying is here's the thing, shark. Most 1946 01:20:33,479 --> 01:20:36,920 Speaker 13: people don't see their own contempt. Do you see the 1947 01:20:36,960 --> 01:20:38,680 Speaker 13: contempt in other people, but you don't see it in 1948 01:20:38,720 --> 01:20:41,479 Speaker 13: your Like this woman said to me, I hate hateful people, 1949 01:20:42,040 --> 01:20:42,840 Speaker 13: but she didn't see it. 1950 01:20:43,040 --> 01:20:45,800 Speaker 5: She didn't see that she had been That's right. I 1951 01:20:45,840 --> 01:20:46,960 Speaker 5: did that last week in my therapist. 1952 01:20:47,000 --> 01:20:49,400 Speaker 2: I literally, I literally was talking to my therapist about 1953 01:20:49,439 --> 01:20:51,760 Speaker 2: somebody that I was saying, I hate it, and I 1954 01:20:52,040 --> 01:20:54,320 Speaker 2: felt so bad because I couldn't believe I had gotten 1955 01:20:54,360 --> 01:20:57,920 Speaker 2: to that point. Why I felt like I hated this individual, 1956 01:20:57,960 --> 01:21:01,160 Speaker 2: but I didn't actually hate them. I hated what they Okay, 1957 01:21:01,200 --> 01:21:04,040 Speaker 2: the point is like I became what I became an energy. 1958 01:21:04,040 --> 01:21:04,640 Speaker 5: I didn't like you. 1959 01:21:05,320 --> 01:21:07,720 Speaker 13: We all do that and we get but if we 1960 01:21:07,800 --> 01:21:10,600 Speaker 13: started to catch ourselves challenge ourselves. We've seen this with 1961 01:21:11,080 --> 01:21:13,719 Speaker 13: you know, like with Governor Cox for instance, in Utah 1962 01:21:13,920 --> 01:21:18,439 Speaker 13: after the Charlie Kirk murder. He really tried to treat 1963 01:21:18,880 --> 01:21:24,160 Speaker 13: the accused perpetrator, the victim, his family, the country with 1964 01:21:24,280 --> 01:21:26,720 Speaker 13: a certain degree of dignity. He tried not to get 1965 01:21:26,880 --> 01:21:30,880 Speaker 13: trapped in the political advice. The same thing, you know, 1966 01:21:30,960 --> 01:21:33,599 Speaker 13: we've seen in other situations. We saw this in Mother 1967 01:21:33,640 --> 01:21:36,880 Speaker 13: e Manual Church. You know, over a decade ago, people 1968 01:21:37,080 --> 01:21:40,120 Speaker 13: trying in the face of violence, in the face of 1969 01:21:40,240 --> 01:21:44,760 Speaker 13: that kind of contemptuous action, hatred with a gun, to 1970 01:21:44,920 --> 01:21:47,720 Speaker 13: respond in some way that would allow us to see 1971 01:21:47,760 --> 01:21:49,040 Speaker 13: there's a way out of hatred. 1972 01:21:49,200 --> 01:21:51,080 Speaker 5: You don't have to return hatred with hatred. 1973 01:21:51,120 --> 01:21:53,840 Speaker 2: If a give to the perpetrators at a crime, I 1974 01:21:53,960 --> 01:21:55,840 Speaker 2: often wonder about that though. I often wonder if that 1975 01:21:56,040 --> 01:21:58,080 Speaker 2: is a real emotion or are they just doing that 1976 01:21:58,120 --> 01:21:59,680 Speaker 2: because they feel like that's what they need to do. 1977 01:22:00,800 --> 01:22:03,000 Speaker 13: Well, I think in your heart, you know, we all 1978 01:22:03,080 --> 01:22:06,680 Speaker 13: know the difference. We lie sometimes when we say what 1979 01:22:06,840 --> 01:22:09,559 Speaker 13: we think people want to hear. But I think there's 1980 01:22:09,600 --> 01:22:12,640 Speaker 13: also real evidence that many people have been able to 1981 01:22:12,720 --> 01:22:15,800 Speaker 13: transform hate and turn it. You know, like doctor King said, 1982 01:22:15,800 --> 01:22:19,320 Speaker 13: you know, the only thing that will, you know, defeat 1983 01:22:19,400 --> 01:22:23,120 Speaker 13: hate is love. And I think people understand at some 1984 01:22:23,360 --> 01:22:26,519 Speaker 13: level within themselves when they can find that it's not 1985 01:22:26,680 --> 01:22:29,920 Speaker 13: easy in the face of somebody treating you with contempt 1986 01:22:30,000 --> 01:22:35,120 Speaker 13: to return that contempt with with your principles, but without hatred. 1987 01:22:35,360 --> 01:22:38,440 Speaker 13: I mean, our point here is don't don't dim your principles, 1988 01:22:38,880 --> 01:22:41,719 Speaker 13: you know, don't don't don't be a centrist on everything. 1989 01:22:42,080 --> 01:22:44,920 Speaker 13: Don't become you know, like that. That's not the point 1990 01:22:44,960 --> 01:22:47,439 Speaker 13: of dignity. The point of dignity is to fight for 1991 01:22:47,560 --> 01:22:51,240 Speaker 13: your principles. We say, add one. When you're fighting for 1992 01:22:51,320 --> 01:22:54,200 Speaker 13: your principles, treat the person on the other side with dignity, 1993 01:22:54,560 --> 01:22:56,800 Speaker 13: and you will actually make a much better case for 1994 01:22:56,920 --> 01:23:01,760 Speaker 13: your principles when you don't treat the other person with contemptory. 1995 01:23:01,360 --> 01:23:04,280 Speaker 4: In certain instances, I do believe that you can hate somebody, 1996 01:23:04,600 --> 01:23:07,960 Speaker 4: and I feel like, in my opinion, it'll be okay, right, 1997 01:23:08,160 --> 01:23:09,400 Speaker 4: So I'll explain it like this. 1998 01:23:09,960 --> 01:23:10,679 Speaker 1: There's certain cases. 1999 01:23:10,760 --> 01:23:13,559 Speaker 4: Yeah, you could dislike their policy, right, you could dislike 2000 01:23:13,640 --> 01:23:17,120 Speaker 4: the things that they're doing. But if somebody comes into 2001 01:23:17,439 --> 01:23:20,360 Speaker 4: my house and kills my family, I'm gonna hate that individual. 2002 01:23:21,560 --> 01:23:24,040 Speaker 1: And I'm not on a healing. 2003 01:23:23,840 --> 01:23:25,479 Speaker 4: Journey to the point where I say, well, you know what, 2004 01:23:25,600 --> 01:23:27,439 Speaker 4: I'm going to turn my other cheek or I'm going 2005 01:23:27,479 --> 01:23:30,519 Speaker 4: to forgive them. I don't think so, you know, and 2006 01:23:30,600 --> 01:23:32,040 Speaker 4: I see people do it all the time. I think 2007 01:23:32,120 --> 01:23:36,360 Speaker 4: majority it is bull crap. Part of my friend biblical teachers, 2008 01:23:36,640 --> 01:23:38,600 Speaker 4: I think it's bull crap in my opinion, And I 2009 01:23:38,680 --> 01:23:40,600 Speaker 4: also do think and some of it is. They do 2010 01:23:40,720 --> 01:23:42,600 Speaker 4: that because they feel like that's what they should do, 2011 01:23:43,040 --> 01:23:45,479 Speaker 4: but now do they believe it in their heart. I 2012 01:23:45,600 --> 01:23:47,920 Speaker 4: kind of find it hard to believe when you just 2013 01:23:47,960 --> 01:23:50,519 Speaker 4: took my whole family out, or you just did something 2014 01:23:50,560 --> 01:23:52,840 Speaker 4: to my child, or you just did something to my 2015 01:23:52,920 --> 01:23:55,040 Speaker 4: mother or father, or you know, when you see people 2016 01:23:55,080 --> 01:23:56,439 Speaker 4: in the church and somebody will come in to church 2017 01:23:56,479 --> 01:23:59,280 Speaker 4: and just shoot the whole church up. It's difficult to 2018 01:23:59,360 --> 01:24:01,600 Speaker 4: believe that because I feel like it allows you to 2019 01:24:01,840 --> 01:24:04,040 Speaker 4: open that up for something like that to happen again. 2020 01:24:04,320 --> 01:24:06,920 Speaker 4: It's my opinion when it comes to quote unquote hate. Now, 2021 01:24:06,960 --> 01:24:08,920 Speaker 4: when things with politics and things like that, Yeah, I 2022 01:24:09,000 --> 01:24:12,559 Speaker 4: feel like people dislike policies. But if you're a hateful 2023 01:24:12,640 --> 01:24:16,040 Speaker 4: person and a nasty person, in my opinion, me saying 2024 01:24:16,160 --> 01:24:18,680 Speaker 4: I hate that person, it's not the same as a 2025 01:24:18,760 --> 01:24:21,280 Speaker 4: person doing evil things. You just don't like the fact 2026 01:24:21,320 --> 01:24:24,080 Speaker 4: that that person is doing an evil job. Yeah, I 2027 01:24:24,160 --> 01:24:26,120 Speaker 4: can hate the devil. Is that mad saying I hate 2028 01:24:26,120 --> 01:24:26,439 Speaker 4: the devil? 2029 01:24:26,439 --> 01:24:26,560 Speaker 13: You know? 2030 01:24:26,600 --> 01:24:28,800 Speaker 4: I mean it's so I feel like when it comes 2031 01:24:28,880 --> 01:24:32,200 Speaker 4: to that type, it's certain things it's like you can't experience. 2032 01:24:32,240 --> 01:24:35,160 Speaker 1: I can't give everybody grace. In my opinion. I'm not 2033 01:24:35,240 --> 01:24:36,760 Speaker 1: there yet, but you kill my family. I can't give 2034 01:24:36,760 --> 01:24:37,360 Speaker 1: you grace. I'm sorry. 2035 01:24:37,400 --> 01:24:39,760 Speaker 4: I'll high out the big man when I get there, 2036 01:24:39,800 --> 01:24:40,439 Speaker 4: but I just can't. 2037 01:24:40,720 --> 01:24:44,439 Speaker 5: Yeah, I hear you. I don't think it's always a fake. 2038 01:24:44,880 --> 01:24:45,920 Speaker 5: I don't think that's true. 2039 01:24:46,280 --> 01:24:47,920 Speaker 1: I just say all the time. I think sometimes I 2040 01:24:48,000 --> 01:24:48,599 Speaker 1: do feel that way. 2041 01:24:48,800 --> 01:24:51,880 Speaker 13: I think sometimes people aspire to be forgiving, even though 2042 01:24:51,920 --> 01:24:54,120 Speaker 13: in their hearts they aren't yet, and so they say 2043 01:24:54,200 --> 01:24:57,320 Speaker 13: they are and maybe in hopes of becoming. But the 2044 01:24:58,320 --> 01:25:02,160 Speaker 13: words they use sometimes people just lie and say I'm forgiving, 2045 01:25:02,200 --> 01:25:04,920 Speaker 13: and their harbor hatred and they don't care about the lie. 2046 01:25:05,120 --> 01:25:06,840 Speaker 5: But I think a lot of times people do move. 2047 01:25:06,920 --> 01:25:07,600 Speaker 5: I mean, I've seen in. 2048 01:25:07,600 --> 01:25:09,360 Speaker 13: My own family, my own family, we've had you know, 2049 01:25:09,439 --> 01:25:13,080 Speaker 13: we've violence has taken people from from my family. 2050 01:25:14,160 --> 01:25:14,800 Speaker 8: You know this is. 2051 01:25:16,800 --> 01:25:18,800 Speaker 5: Yeah, sure, John F. Kennedy Kennedy. 2052 01:25:19,000 --> 01:25:23,080 Speaker 13: So, I grew up in a situation where violence robbed 2053 01:25:23,160 --> 01:25:29,000 Speaker 13: us as children, of safety, of the health of our parents, 2054 01:25:31,560 --> 01:25:38,600 Speaker 13: of people we loved. And I've seen people struggle with 2055 01:25:38,720 --> 01:25:42,240 Speaker 13: that their whole life, you know. And I've seen people 2056 01:25:42,320 --> 01:25:44,639 Speaker 13: try to really hard to forgive so that they would 2057 01:25:44,720 --> 01:25:48,120 Speaker 13: be able to get the devil out from inside them. 2058 01:25:48,200 --> 01:25:53,560 Speaker 13: The anger, the hostility, the vitriol, the pain could be 2059 01:25:53,680 --> 01:25:57,720 Speaker 13: eased through the act of forgiveness. So sometimes maybe it's 2060 01:25:57,760 --> 01:26:00,680 Speaker 13: not even selfish. I mean, it's not even helpless. It's 2061 01:26:00,680 --> 01:26:05,679 Speaker 13: selfish to forgive, because that's where healing I think happens. 2062 01:26:06,479 --> 01:26:10,240 Speaker 13: But here's the thing, this is a conversation the country 2063 01:26:11,080 --> 01:26:13,640 Speaker 13: needs to be trying to have. I'm not here to 2064 01:26:13,720 --> 01:26:16,240 Speaker 13: tell you like I'm not a preacher. I'm not here 2065 01:26:16,280 --> 01:26:17,600 Speaker 13: to say this is the commandment. 2066 01:26:18,760 --> 01:26:19,160 Speaker 5: I'm here. 2067 01:26:19,880 --> 01:26:22,120 Speaker 13: I'm here to say I think we're seeing a new 2068 01:26:22,240 --> 01:26:26,320 Speaker 13: issue in the country and asking ourselves how we treat 2069 01:26:26,360 --> 01:26:30,160 Speaker 13: each other. As an issue, I mean, what is you know, 2070 01:26:30,880 --> 01:26:33,880 Speaker 13: this is a conversation that has focused in many, many 2071 01:26:34,000 --> 01:26:36,559 Speaker 13: different moments in time on issues of race and culture 2072 01:26:36,600 --> 01:26:39,280 Speaker 13: and these kinds of things. What is racism if not 2073 01:26:39,439 --> 01:26:40,719 Speaker 13: institutionalized hatred? 2074 01:26:41,200 --> 01:26:41,639 Speaker 5: For sure? 2075 01:26:42,720 --> 01:26:50,000 Speaker 13: Okay, So it's an institutionalization of the humiliation and demeaning 2076 01:26:50,200 --> 01:26:54,240 Speaker 13: and hatred of a group of people. So, you know, 2077 01:26:54,280 --> 01:26:55,599 Speaker 13: if we want to end it, we have to end 2078 01:26:55,640 --> 01:27:00,120 Speaker 13: hatred because at the surface, at the heart of that 2079 01:27:00,320 --> 01:27:04,200 Speaker 13: is hatred is a sense of superiority, is a sense 2080 01:27:04,240 --> 01:27:06,960 Speaker 13: of disdain for people that come from a different certain 2081 01:27:07,000 --> 01:27:10,280 Speaker 13: background or certain skin color. As crazy as it is, 2082 01:27:10,400 --> 01:27:14,479 Speaker 13: that's what we's that's the reality. So I just want 2083 01:27:14,520 --> 01:27:17,479 Speaker 13: to I want to talk systems. I want to talk housey, 2084 01:27:17,479 --> 01:27:19,559 Speaker 13: I want to talk healthcare. I want to talk education. 2085 01:27:19,720 --> 01:27:22,040 Speaker 13: That's my background. I want to talk all those things. 2086 01:27:22,120 --> 01:27:25,479 Speaker 13: I also want to talk about this as a country. Okay, 2087 01:27:25,560 --> 01:27:27,639 Speaker 13: let's call it before you go to this right. Yeah, 2088 01:27:28,000 --> 01:27:31,560 Speaker 13: this is Brooks Pottageyer. He's an ambuilt and build and 2089 01:27:31,760 --> 01:27:35,680 Speaker 13: with the word evangelical pastor who has been described as 2090 01:27:35,720 --> 01:27:39,400 Speaker 13: Pete Hexath's closest spiritual advisor. He said this, he said, 2091 01:27:39,439 --> 01:27:41,599 Speaker 13: first and foremost, we prayed a man like this would 2092 01:27:41,640 --> 01:27:44,040 Speaker 13: be cut to the heart, he said. He puts Tallerico 2093 01:27:44,120 --> 01:27:47,080 Speaker 13: in the category of public enemies are those you are 2094 01:27:47,200 --> 01:27:48,040 Speaker 13: not called the love. 2095 01:27:48,479 --> 01:27:49,160 Speaker 5: This is where you have. 2096 01:27:49,320 --> 01:27:54,320 Speaker 2: Impractatory, imprecatory storms. This is where you pray strongly. The 2097 01:27:54,360 --> 01:27:57,760 Speaker 2: psalmist is not shy.
