There are dissent 0:08:11.480 --> 0:08:15.560 decrees in a lot of police departments across this country. Right. 0:08:16.000 --> 0:08:21.640 Our consent decree here, it was enacted after the murder 0:08:21.680 --> 0:08:25.000 of George Floyd, after the federal government under the Joe 0:08:25.000 --> 0:08:30.560 Biden administration investigated and uncovered patterns and practices of racial 0:08:30.600 --> 0:08:35.520 discrimination and civil rights violations, and so they put forth 0:08:35.600 --> 0:08:40.160 this consent decree. So why did the federal government roll 0:08:40.320 --> 0:08:43.520 back that consent decree? No one ever was really told 0:08:43.559 --> 0:08:46.280 why it just happened. The only other state we saw 0:08:46.320 --> 0:08:49.839 this happening was Louisville, where Breonna Taylor was killed. Right, 0:08:49.920 --> 0:08:53.600 So these two states very interesting. They do this huge raid. 0:08:56.600 --> 0:09:01.319 But everyone here locally, all of the share triff, the mayor, 0:09:01.360 --> 0:09:04.160 the police chief, they stand in unity and they say, oh, 0:09:04.200 --> 0:09:06.679 this was not an ice raid. Now you fast forward and 0:09:13.160 --> 0:09:18.079 you see our mayor on television using profanity, grand standing 0:09:18.120 --> 0:09:22.760 against the federal government. But he kind of allowed them 0:09:22.800 --> 0:09:27.680 to come in and held the line for them and 0:09:27.800 --> 0:09:31.480 be kind of became a local spokesperson on behalf of 0:09:31.559 --> 0:09:35.520 their operation. We're seeing city equipment used to 0:09:59.320 --> 0:10:03.240 put up barrier between protesters and these federal agents.
