00:00:08 Speaker 1: And I invited you here. I thought I made myself perfectly clear. When you're a guest to my home, you gotta come to me empty. And I said, no, guests, You're a presences. Presence and I already had too much stuff, So how do you dare to surbey me? 00:00:49 Speaker 2: Welcome to I said, no gifts. I'm pretcher Winne girl. I had a Celsius on the way here, kind of in the news. This is the new I'm drinking Celsius. I'm on the Celsius wagon. I did miss my off ramp on the freeway, but I don't think anyone noticed, so everything's fine. I got here. I was in another world driving on the two freeway today. It was dangerous. I think I was putting people's lives in danger. But we're all fine, and hopefully I'll make it home. I tempt, I tempt fate when I start talking about things like this. I've got to be careful again. I will be getting on a Breeze Airline flight next week, and so I just need everyone to pray for me. It's my first time on a Breeze airways, so I'm kind of going to be the test subject for all of us. We'll see how they treat me, and we'll hope that they get me to the airport. What else is going on? Oh, I just want to I want to speak to a heterosexual couple in Highland Park, Los Angeles, California. Toddler is not old enough to use the crosswalk. I've experienced this at least twice. We're all trying to make a left turn and he's holding it up. Pick him up. There'll be plenty of other opportunities in life to use a crosswalk, and I'm sure he'll be great at it when the time comes. But I'm next time you're gonna get a beep. I don't want to see that toddler in the crosswalk. What are you trying to teach him? And I know you have a stroller. I've seen the stroller. Put him in the stroller. Okay, so that's taken care of. Is it anyone's birthday? Happy birthday. If it's your birthday, Happy birthday. I'm sure it's someone's birthday. If it's not your birthday, feel free to revisit this audio on your birthday or any other time I've said happy birthday on the podcast. Is a little treat to you. It's carl Tart Carlow, welcome back to ISA. 00:03:22 Speaker 3: Has it been four times? 00:03:23 Speaker 2: It's been four times. I think you had a minor time on we had a holiday episode. Yes, and so we'll count that it's been four times. But this is kind of the only time, the first real in studio time. 00:03:35 Speaker 3: Yeah, because my first time was on zoom I believe. And I mailed you a gift. 00:03:39 Speaker 2: Yes, you mailed a sizable gift. Yes, And it was like getting a fun present in the mail. 00:03:45 Speaker 3: Opening up boxes during the pandemic. What a what a great thing. And now I've started the process of cleaning all that stuff out of my closet. 00:03:52 Speaker 2: Like what are you taking out of your closet? Close? 00:03:55 Speaker 3: I was shopping. I was shopping, Carl b shopping. 00:03:58 Speaker 2: So what are you doing with the clothes then donating? 00:04:00 Speaker 3: Okay, I either saw got enough use out of them and somebody else can get some use out of them. 00:04:06 Speaker 2: Right. 00:04:06 Speaker 3: But there are those things where you find them and you go. If I saw somebody wearing this on the street, I'd be mad and I might make them. 00:04:13 Speaker 2: Take it off because you would want it back. 00:04:15 Speaker 3: Yeah, I want it back and hold on it. I didn't know. I didn't know it could be worn like that. 00:04:20 Speaker 2: When do you when do you determine a piece of clothing is done? You know? So? 00:04:25 Speaker 3: So now that I'm living the by coastal life, yes, you're all over the place, all over the place. Now I'm living to buy coastal lifestyle. I come back to my home in Los Angeles and I say, I don't need none of. 00:04:36 Speaker 2: This shit because you haven't had to use it anything. 00:04:39 Speaker 3: I haven't had to use it, and I haven't thought about it. Right, And so I'll get home and I'll be living out of a suitcase in my own home. It's like a stranger whoa a stranger in Moscow. I'm living out of my I'm living out of my own home, like out of a suitcase in my own home, and I'm like, wait a minute, I could just get rid of all this junk. 00:04:58 Speaker 2: I have in here. Right. Let's see. 00:05:00 Speaker 3: I grew up not being able to afford things that I wanted, So once I started making a little money, I was like, I'm a buyas. Who's gonna tell me I can't buy this T shirt? And Instagram really pedals to me. 00:05:11 Speaker 2: I'm so strong against pet Instagram ads. It's worked once on me. 00:05:17 Speaker 3: Oh, it's worked hundreds of times on me. It will work probably after I get done here, as soon as I get in my car, check my phone before I take off. I might could use that. 00:05:25 Speaker 2: Has there been a really good like what's the best thing you've purchased on Instagram? Ben? 00:05:31 Speaker 3: I mean just like the companies that advertise to me, I love all this stuff and I like so like, you know, my just pieces in my wardrobe that I get tons of compliments on? 00:05:42 Speaker 2: And are they companies you are aware of before seeing them on Instagram? Not necessarily? Okay, some of them pop up. 00:05:48 Speaker 3: You know. I'm a hat guy, right, I have hundreds of hats. So if I ever see hats, I go, oh, this could be a dressy hat. Oh, this could be a this is a casual hat. This is this like you know, like and I'll buy hats that I'm just like, yep, it's the one. 00:06:02 Speaker 2: Do you ever donate the hats? 00:06:03 Speaker 3: Yeah? 00:06:04 Speaker 2: Okay, I did it. 00:06:05 Speaker 3: I give it all the way. 00:06:06 Speaker 2: Do you have an official hat count? 00:06:08 Speaker 3: I don't have an official count. 00:06:10 Speaker 2: What's stopping you from that? I think you're too many. 00:06:12 Speaker 3: It's too many. I don't feel like count that high. It's too many. 00:06:15 Speaker 2: Do you estimate? Yeah? 00:06:17 Speaker 3: Probably about three hundred. 00:06:18 Speaker 2: Wow, that's incredible. 00:06:19 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a lot. 00:06:20 Speaker 2: But it also makes sense if you're wearing hats constantly. 00:06:23 Speaker 3: Yeah. But here's the thing. This is the problem. I wear like a rotation of maybe twenty oh interesting, So I got a bunch that I don't wear, but I want to keep right. 00:06:31 Speaker 2: That's my problem with shirts where I think I've learned the lesson at this point that I can't give away his shirt because then years later I'm like, oh, I wish I could be wearing that shirt right now. So what I do is I just have a giant tupper wear and I cycle them out of the garage. 00:06:46 Speaker 3: See that I have that in my I don't have a garage, so I have that in my closet, right in my home. And it's and it's caused a chaos because those tupperwars don't stay orderly. The stuff on the bottom stays right. Oh, then you're fishing through, fishing through it, and then it's and then it's a mess. And then yesterday I was like, gotta get rid of this stuff, gotta get rid of this stuff. It's gotta go. Like I want my space to be open and breezy, breeze airlines. I want my my space to be open and breezy. This stuff's gotta go. And then I'm digging through and I'm being like, damn, I forgot I had this. I forgot I had this. 00:07:21 Speaker 2: That's a great feeling. 00:07:22 Speaker 3: I might throw this on later. You got it, But sometimes you gotta be like, I gotta get rid of it. It's gotta go. I haven't thought about it. I haven't thought about it in three years. It's gotta go. 00:07:29 Speaker 2: Right, But it's the fashion so cyclical, and it's just like it may come back and it may be something I really want. And then I won't be able to find it again. 00:07:38 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:07:39 Speaker 2: Do you ever sell any of your stuff? 00:07:40 Speaker 3: No, don't go through that process of selling stuff like nope, I just donated. It has gotta be Oh. 00:07:49 Speaker 2: That's I do it every time with everything. If I'm getting it's basically with like iPhones or whatever. I get a new phone. I try to selling and it just makes your life a nightmare. You gotta mail it. Yeah, oh my god, going to the post office forget it. 00:08:02 Speaker 3: If anybody wants a peloton, I have one. You gotta come pick it up. 00:08:07 Speaker 2: Those things are so evid. 00:08:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, I lift it for you. You gotta come pick it up. I'm not bringing it. I'm not shipping it. I'm not taking it apart. You got to come get it as is. Bring a truck. 00:08:18 Speaker 2: Don't tempt me. I hear the word free, and I'm like. 00:08:21 Speaker 3: You can have for free. The strangers have to pay. 00:08:23 Speaker 2: How much would you charge? 00:08:25 Speaker 3: I think I paid like two grand for it's still in very great condition, lightly used. 00:08:35 Speaker 2: Yeah, give me. 00:08:36 Speaker 3: We can discuss a price in between. I'm reasonable for the strangers. We can discuss a price in between five hundred. 00:08:42 Speaker 2: And a thousand. Okay, that seems like a deal. 00:08:44 Speaker 3: That's a deal. 00:08:45 Speaker 2: Did you Was this a COVID purchase? 00:08:47 Speaker 3: It was, and I used it during COVID. I did use it. I was like, while we were watching bubble basketball, just the worst thing you could ever watch. I was I would ride. I'd be like, okay, second and fourth quarter, got to ride the whole time. First, first and third time, the whole quarter, first and third quarter, you can, you can take a break, second and fourth. You gotta ride, even. 00:09:08 Speaker 2: With timeouts and everything. Yeah. Wow, commercials. Whoaah, that's a lot of riding. 00:09:13 Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Bike is easier than run it if it was a treadmill. 00:09:16 Speaker 2: I can't run. Yeah yeah. Running this absolute misery for me. 00:09:19 Speaker 3: But once we got back outside, I was like, get it out of get it out of here. And now it's just seeing in the area that's supposed to be. Doesn't it as my living room? But single man, I mean a dining room. Oh and single man don't need a dining room table. I have TV trays. 00:09:33 Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't have a dining room either. I have a Yeah, I have like a bar thing but that's nice. 00:09:39 Speaker 3: I would love to put a bar right there instead of a peloton. 00:09:42 Speaker 2: Use the five hundred dollars you get from some stranger. 00:09:45 Speaker 3: Five hundred to one thousand. It depends on what you look like, depends on what your vibe is. I might charge a little bit more. But if a friend wants it. If a friend is listening to this and it is yours for. 00:09:54 Speaker 2: Free, wow, and then do you have to subscribe to it? 00:09:57 Speaker 3: And I think I've been doing that for years? Car I got I got to get Rocket money or something. 00:10:03 Speaker 2: If I tried Rocket Money, yeahn't work for me. Worried about these subscriptions. 00:10:08 Speaker 3: I know I'm paying for some stuff that I have not participated in years. 00:10:12 Speaker 2: I think that I'm not Rocket Money's person because I'm so cheap that, like, I mean, I cancel a subscription as soon as I subscribe, basically so I might stay on top of that. 00:10:22 Speaker 3: I do that with the only fans. 00:10:24 Speaker 2: Oh sure, you send five dollars or what immediately? You got to get Rocket money, though you could be losing thousands of times. 00:10:32 Speaker 3: You know, right, I probably am losing. There's definitely some stuff I don't know. I never see, like an email from some petrator. That's the trick because they don't remind you that you pay for it. 00:10:42 Speaker 2: They want you to just forget, and you're really a good client because you're not even in the home with the peloton. Mostly it's like a cursed object in your life. 00:10:51 Speaker 3: Yes, it's just sitting there staring at me. 00:10:53 Speaker 2: Oh my god, you're in LA just for a few months. Are you doing anything enjoyable while you're here? 00:10:58 Speaker 3: Everything? 00:10:59 Speaker 2: Like what my friends? Sure? 00:11:01 Speaker 3: No, I just love my friends. 00:11:02 Speaker 2: Is there anything you miss in LA that you're not experiencing in New York? 00:11:05 Speaker 3: My car, M it's the main thing. 00:11:09 Speaker 2: Oh this is uh. I feel that I drove. 00:11:12 Speaker 3: Over here today to Sonny dude, I'm gonna leave it out for myself and I uh, I'm just like, man. 00:11:19 Speaker 2: This is great personal space, personal space. 00:11:25 Speaker 3: I'm sorry. I just cannot get with the attitude and the idea that public transportation is better than having a car. It's simply not. 00:11:34 Speaker 2: I think it could be. 00:11:35 Speaker 3: It could be maybe it is in London or something like that. Maybe it is on the tube or something like that. But in New York City. 00:11:42 Speaker 2: Boy, is a tough, tough experience. 00:11:44 Speaker 3: It's awful every time, and anybody who tells you otherwise is lying. I was just on the way here. I was just talking to a friend that was like, call abandons the city as soon as it gets lit. Everybody's outside right now, and I go, I'm also outside. I'm currently outside. I just I know the knixt one and it's hot out. They got mom, Donnie and all that type of stuff. 00:12:12 Speaker 2: Whatever, Who care care, bro, I get to drive. 00:12:17 Speaker 3: I get to drive my car. 00:12:19 Speaker 2: I was. 00:12:20 Speaker 3: I had forgotten I had to do something the other day and it was like thirty minutes before I had to be there, and I was like, ooh, I jumped in the shower, put on lotion, put on my clothes, still made it on top. 00:12:34 Speaker 2: Of course, you're in control if. 00:12:35 Speaker 3: That had to happen, if that happened in New York. And I was like even an hour before I needed to be somewhere, I've been like, ain't gonna make it. Cancel, cancel it. You have to leave two hours every time. Every time people are not talking about this. I went on it. I went on a hinge date and the girl had a very long list of X and she added to the list of X that I use a subway timer what because I don't want to wait for the subway. Oh interest, So I plan out my I know how long it takes me to walk to the station and pay, and you know in the elements and you know, everything prepared, being prepared, And she was like, why do you do that? This is New York. You just go and you just like, so what you have to wait ten minutes ago? I don't want to wait ten minutes. 00:13:24 Speaker 2: Also, that person, that's the sort of person who doesn't consider any other person because there's somebody on the other side of that subway that's waiting for her. 00:13:32 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, she didn't care that tries to one day it was fine. 00:13:37 Speaker 2: So does hinge. Now I haven't been on amps in a long time. Is there there's like a spot for you to put X? 00:13:43 Speaker 3: No, she didn't have the X on her page. I would have asked her out if she had that. Oh, on the date she showed me on those days, on the dates she showed me, and it was and it was when I tell you, it was long. 00:13:56 Speaker 2: I'm leaving as soon as she decides to show me the list. 00:13:59 Speaker 3: I just wanted to see what she thought was an it And it was a lot of stuff on it and she was like, well some of those I'm being funny, and you think you think I'm not laughing I'm not laughing at all any other not because they're personal. It was just like, like, you know, the typical slurping spaghetti and stuff, which if you would shut up, I'd agree with you. What what is it? Why you gotta write that down? Like as if. 00:14:24 Speaker 2: So? And also, yeah, who is it for to show your date? Let that come up? Naturally? 00:14:31 Speaker 3: She was like, unfortunately I am adding this. I said, that's an ick to you that I am? I am? 00:14:38 Speaker 2: What is it? 00:14:39 Speaker 3: What's the word prepare? Yeah, like that's. 00:14:41 Speaker 2: An I'm in control of my life. 00:14:43 Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's not New York. It's not like in New York you're supposed to just go with the flow girls ship the fuck. She's probably listening to this right now. You know who you are. 00:14:54 Speaker 2: Also, Yeah, that I that's an interesting thing. I never think about dating in New York. I feel like to a location as part of dating. 00:15:02 Speaker 3: Yeah, well see, okay, so here's the deal out there. You definitely have the option to like, oh, we can bounce around and and here it's like, well, we gotta limit how many drinks we have and if we didn't uber to this place. So I get that right, hitting hitting third and four because it's easy to hit a second location here do it all the time. It's hard to hit the third and fourth location. In New York. The third and fourth location is halfway through. Yeah yeah, yeah, so it's it's it's easier there. But I'm you know, I missed my car. My car and my friends are the two main things. And also just like quiet, I. 00:15:43 Speaker 2: Mean, this is this was my exact experience. Like quiet, and also listening to music extremely loud in my car. 00:15:49 Speaker 3: Yes, singing my lung like and people are like, you could just zone out on the trenckle. Why would I do that so somebody could slash me across? Yeah, whyd I do that? 00:16:01 Speaker 2: No, I'm never unless I'm so tired that I'm like half falling asleep on the train, which is not good. 00:16:06 Speaker 3: If I'm half fallen asleep, I'm in a uber. I'm taking the U to the B to the E to the R. I'm not I'm not getting on a train if I'm falling asleep, so I can just end up somewhere. 00:16:19 Speaker 2: I've fallen asleep on a train before and ended up in Queens. That was That's a weird. I mean, it's once in a lifetime an interesting experience to just be like, well, what's happened to me? I've basically teleported. But you don't want that to happen regularly. 00:16:32 Speaker 3: No, I'm never on the train that tired, like, because my job gives us cars. 00:16:38 Speaker 2: After You're right, what a feeling that is? 00:16:41 Speaker 3: That is a great feeling. Yeah, but the traffic can be so unbearable that you're like, you're almost like, let me off, I'm gonna get on the train. The traffic out there is insane at all times of night. Right. 00:16:53 Speaker 2: Have you had any interesting run ins on the subway? 00:16:57 Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, anything scary, not necessarily scary, just yet thankfully people not just weird people of course, just you know, the dancers, everything, which is it's fine, I get it. This one guy was like he recognized me, but he didn't. He wasn't saying. 00:17:17 Speaker 2: It like that. 00:17:19 Speaker 3: Like he was very you know, very New York aggressive. He was like, you're my man. Oh boy, you're my man. Now I'm from the South, so somebody's calling you. I'm gonna look up, but I'm like, I'm in New York. He's getting ignored. It's against my personal yeah, of course, like feeling, but he's getting ignored. He's getting ignored. He goes, you're my man, you're on TV h you and I went, I don't love that. 00:17:42 Speaker 2: I don't owe you anything. Yeah. 00:17:43 Speaker 3: Yeah, but I looked up and I went, yeah, I pop up from time to time. And he said he was on that one joint. He was on the joint with the wine. Everybody drinking the wine. Yeah, me and my lady watched that. We binge that. Yeah, he was. He didn't know the name of the show. 00:17:58 Speaker 2: He was aware of the general concept. 00:18:00 Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, he didn't name of the show. The show is called Grand Crew. He did know the name of the show. 00:18:05 Speaker 2: He did. 00:18:05 Speaker 3: He did, however, recognize me. And I'm like, if you've watched that closely that you can recognize me on a train in the middle of a city that, like I looked like out of place here? You know the name of the show? 00:18:20 Speaker 2: You were really Yeah, how did you miss that element of. 00:18:23 Speaker 3: He was like, we was just watching. Me and my liter just watched the other night. Say what did you search? You didn't search the joint with the wine where the friends and you didn't search that. 00:18:32 Speaker 2: I guess maybe what was the opening title of it? Was probably short? Yeah, yeah, it's probably one of those things that you just looked down at your phone during And so I'm on his side here, Actually. 00:18:41 Speaker 3: I mean I'm I'm on his side just because he gave me my Yeah. 00:18:44 Speaker 2: He was a great fan. Yeah, and he supported the show he did. 00:18:47 Speaker 3: He did. 00:18:48 Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like most shows opening credits now they are two shorts. We've gotta stretch him out. 00:18:53 Speaker 3: We did have a we did have a good theme song. Phil Jackson rapped the theme song. You yeah, that was him, that was him rapped, and. 00:19:00 Speaker 2: It was like a full thirty second opening. 00:19:03 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:19:04 Speaker 2: Okay, so now I'm not on the sky side anymore. 00:19:06 Speaker 3: He should have known he might, he might give intro oh interesting. 00:19:10 Speaker 2: But the song was about I feel bad for all these designers creating the intros, getting all this work in and now the company's like, no, you don't have to do that. If I was creating the intro, I would be doing something to to strike against. 00:19:23 Speaker 3: We gotta go back. We got to go back to Grammy worthy intros. 00:19:26 Speaker 2: Yes, do you know? I mean I think the shows on Apple kind of have nice intros. 00:19:31 Speaker 3: I still haven't signed up for that. 00:19:32 Speaker 2: Okay, well that's what you think. Get on Rocket Money. I have four subscriptions too. 00:19:38 Speaker 3: One hundred and thirty eight dollars a week to Apple TV. I haven't watched one show. 00:19:45 Speaker 2: You use the rocket money and Apple just collapses depending on Carl's subscriptions. 00:19:52 Speaker 3: I'll be crazy. Breeze Airways, Huheze. 00:19:54 Speaker 2: Have you heard of this? I have, It's just come on to my radar. 00:19:58 Speaker 3: It was regional. I was gonna fly from New Orleans to Charlotte, North Carolina. Sure, and Breeze Airlines was the only option, and I said, I don't want to get on that, but it was the only the only straight through option and it was at like five am, and so I'm like, this is a double whammie for me. Not only is it a five am flight where and the place I'm going is only an hour and a half away, So I'm gonna get there at six thirty in the morning, and then I'm flying Breeze Airlines. I watched so many videos that day on YouTube, all the all the ad geeks. I was like, what's up with Breeze? 00:20:34 Speaker 2: What were they saying? It's fine, Okay, it's a fine budget airline. Yeah, I want to fly out a burbank And so you know your option has become slightly limited. Yeah, I was like, well, it's not Spirit yet. 00:20:47 Speaker 3: I've flown Spirit once. 00:20:48 Speaker 2: How was that? 00:20:49 Speaker 3: It was fine? Oh, I bought the big seat. 00:20:51 Speaker 2: Okay, you know it's great. 00:20:53 Speaker 3: I only flew it one time in my life, and I was sad when it went away, interesting because I was like, yeah, that was actually good for the economy to have, Like right, yeah, and it was fine. It was always the butt of every joke. But Spirit ain't never crashed. Speard ain't never had no real incidents like that. 00:21:11 Speaker 2: Well, you you should have stood up. You should have been brave. You should have stood up for that company. Who knows where Spirit would be if you had said something. 00:21:17 Speaker 3: If I have said something. It's like Arby's. 00:21:19 Speaker 2: It's oh my god, It's just like Rpyce. 00:21:21 Speaker 3: That's why, that's why I rock with Arby's. Arby's is good. 00:21:23 Speaker 2: Arby's is great, and I feel like maybe you and I haven't done a good enough job supporting the company, at least within Los Angeles. 00:21:29 Speaker 3: I'm gonna say it right now, Arby's, You're great. Keep doing what you're doing. The nearest one to me in both of the cities I live in is way too far to go to because they took them out of the city. 00:21:41 Speaker 2: Where is it in New York? 00:21:43 Speaker 3: In New York is in like deep Queens, like something seaside, something side Queens, not even not Sunnyside, because that would be easy to get this Queens any side Queens. But it's in the city still, so you can still kind of just get there. But this is like, this is deep. This is almost like on the other side, it's. 00:22:04 Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't be like justify a day around Arby's, unfortunately, and I love Arby's. 00:22:11 Speaker 3: And it would take a day to get over there. 00:22:15 Speaker 2: We've got to get some Arby's back into the city centers. Yes, but it requires people changing the way they think. 00:22:21 Speaker 3: Yes, because then you know you like it, yes, and know you like Arby's. That beef a cheddar is delicious. The curly fries. 00:22:29 Speaker 2: No other restaurant serves a curly fry, not like that. No, no, no, you can't depend Most restaurants will play with a curly fry and then they bring it up take it off the menu. Yes, Arby's has had that since day one exactly. 00:22:40 Speaker 3: Also, apparently in the New Philly cheese state they got is going. 00:22:43 Speaker 2: Crazy too well, I'll never get to try it, to. 00:22:45 Speaker 3: Try because and the nearest one I think to hear is like deep deep Sam Bernardino or something. 00:22:52 Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm not Yeah, that's not again. I'm not driving that. I'm not putting my life in danger or other people's lives in danger to get the media number two combo or whatever it was, getting beef and Yeah, someday they're gonna have a renaissance. 00:23:08 Speaker 3: Yeah, they're coming back. They're coming back, they'll be beat healthy. 00:23:13 Speaker 2: Well, there's something else we should probably talk about. Yeah, you have been on the podcast four times, and I was hoping this time would be the time that you kind of figured out what's going on here, But it seems like you dropped the ball again. You brought a gift, Yes, I brought you a gift, and it's in this gorgeous little kind of candy cane wrapper. Is the season? 00:23:33 Speaker 3: Is the season? 00:23:33 Speaker 2: Christmas in July? 00:23:34 Speaker 3: Yes, Christmas in July, celebrating two hundred and fifty Christmases. 00:23:42 Speaker 2: Well, should we open it here on the podcast? Please, let's do it. 00:23:47 Speaker 3: Let's but I want you to address the bigger thing first. 00:23:52 Speaker 2: Okay, okay, because the second thing is kind of a yeah, so this object first? Oh okay, the first thing is something called a solar wave by Acne three minute light therapy acne spot treatment. Yes. The amount of words on here that are barely connected smooth clear calm, clinically proven to target and treat acne pain free, easy to use, FDA cleared, Yes, I don't believe that that for one second, science backed and esthetician approved. Go Okay, what's going on here? Now? 00:24:29 Speaker 3: I was hoping you could teach me how to use that? And what is for? 00:24:31 Speaker 2: Where did you? Is this an Instagram purchase? 00:24:33 Speaker 3: Is not an Instagram purchase? I got that as a in a gift bag. 00:24:37 Speaker 2: Oh my god? Was it with a bunch of other skin products? 00:24:39 Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a lot of skin products in there. 00:24:41 Speaker 2: Okay, let's open it up. Let's see if we can. It looks like it says it has two powerful treatments combined blue light and red light therapy. Okay, that's purple light therapy. 00:24:51 Speaker 3: Now. 00:24:51 Speaker 2: Blue light was Kmart blue Oh that's right, Yeah, of course? Why not special? 00:24:56 Speaker 3: Why the jugs? 00:24:57 Speaker 2: Why not? 00:24:58 Speaker 3: A and Naomi Judd had a a theme song for blue light? When so we had blue light Internet and my house. 00:25:04 Speaker 2: What was k Internet? That can't be. 00:25:09 Speaker 3: Free Internet that they would give you free like you remember like AOL discs. Kmar had one too, and it was blue Light Internet. What and Naomi and whine on the jell would get on there and be like flap back, crack a jack, come on, get on that and that it was something. 00:25:27 Speaker 2: I don't remember the theme song exactly. 00:25:30 Speaker 3: But they would get They would sing a song every time you logged onto the internet. You had to watch that video. 00:25:35 Speaker 2: How was this not a huge hint because it was kmart. Kmart was Web one point zero. Yeah, it was. They was. They was at the forefront of the internet. So you would go into a k Mar and get the CD. 00:25:48 Speaker 3: Yeah, and get hours. You would get hours of right blue light Internet? 00:25:52 Speaker 2: Oh my god, we only got the free AO l Oh. 00:25:55 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we would do. I would use that too. 00:25:58 Speaker 2: And when you say you used, it was like you're like, what were we doing? Just kind of like looking at one screen for a few minutes and then I yeah, that version of the Internet was very interesting. Okay, so this let's we're still opening it. Here see customer results. No, I don't need to see results. There'll be my results yes, let's keep opening it. 00:26:21 Speaker 3: Here cannot wait and it's hard to get into. 00:26:24 Speaker 2: Yeah, this box is I never used it. Yeah, let's get in here. People are probably screaming right now. I use one of those stop before you do it. No one could stop me here, user, Look at that cute little thing. It's like it almost looks like a small shaver or something out. Oh, it's got to it. Yeah, it's got to be charged. But we can you know, at least I'll rub it on my face. But it looks like you probably go like this, right? But does it? Do you just target acne? Let's see painless? How do we believe this? 00:27:00 Speaker 3: See? That's what I'm scared to burn it off and be like one of those things you put outside with mosquitos. 00:27:07 Speaker 2: All right, I wonder if it's if it gets hot or anything, or if it's I wonder if we could elis We don't have a USB charger, do we? I wish I had? 00:27:15 Speaker 4: Which which kind do you need? 00:27:16 Speaker 2: It's like a classic US unfortunately a USB A because maybe we could cryme BF USB A. Maybe we could charge it a little bit and then bring it back in. But this USB is kind of becoming extinct. 00:27:32 Speaker 3: Yeah, ain't that crazy. 00:27:33 Speaker 2: That's just why I. 00:27:35 Speaker 3: Guess they blew that internet of USB cables. 00:27:37 Speaker 2: We've got to settle on a cable for like and just promise everyone will be using. 00:27:42 Speaker 3: Apple, the ones that keep making up these new cables of course, so we can have to have to there we go, Oh, let's see. 00:27:49 Speaker 2: Oh, let's see. Oh, oh that's right here, yes, and then what's your charge? That absolutely just for a few minutes, you know, and we'll see what happens. Wow, we're gonna I want to try this thing and I want results overnight. 00:28:03 Speaker 3: Yeah, he ain't no bumpster. You got good skin. 00:28:06 Speaker 2: Well, you know, it's it's weird as an adult to get zits. It's inescapable. 00:28:12 Speaker 3: Yeah, you know you've been doing something wrong well, and. 00:28:15 Speaker 2: It's stress related most of the time. Yeah, which is this to me makes no sense biologically where your body like is stressed out, so it creates something that is only going to intensify the stress. Yeah, it does. It seems so backwards. 00:28:30 Speaker 3: I've gotten so. As I had mentioned earlier, I'm a hat guy, and there are times where it gets a little hot outside, right, and I got the hat on, and then like maybe a couple days later, I'll wake up with a little thing right here, and I'm like, you nasty man, you disgusting man, sitting in the swallowing in your own body. 00:28:50 Speaker 2: Yeah. I guess it's because it's got a little bit of sweat it's keeping and then the bacteria could potentially grow there. But everybody gets them. Yeah, I feel like you get them into your seventies, and it's a nightmare because you get out of middleville or high school or whatever. You're like, I'm clear and free, I'm ready to go into I'm away from that. No, no, yeah, And then it actually is worse because at least in middle school you're expected to just be a monster. 00:29:15 Speaker 3: Yeah, if you get one on your nose, it's really like, oh, that's the worst, just absolute torture, Rudolph. 00:29:22 Speaker 2: And then I guess people are embracing those little stars that they put on. 00:29:27 Speaker 3: That's a new that's the thing now that people are like, oh, these are actually cute to wear outside. 00:29:31 Speaker 2: Right, But I'm not getting away with that. I ain't putting that shit on. Are you kidding me? 00:29:36 Speaker 3: What are you wearing? I was just doing a job and a lady was like, do you want a pimple star because I had like razor bumps from shaving. Oh right, right, she's do you want the pimple stars? Like, oh no, you're not going to put them things on my face? 00:29:49 Speaker 2: Who do you think I am so that. 00:29:51 Speaker 3: Girl can put on her I list. 00:29:54 Speaker 2: You show up to a date with one of those. 00:29:56 Speaker 3: Hey, sorry I'm late. Do you order it already? I'm thinking of cabernet. 00:30:02 Speaker 2: That's a good way to say abotage to date for sure. Yeah, I don't. But maybe I feel like they need to just have a range of those little stars. I feel like they're they could get into something that a normal adults would feel comfortable wearing. 00:30:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's got to be clear. Yeah, just when I see the people with the clearers, I'm always. 00:30:20 Speaker 2: Like yeah, because then it's like kind of hidden. It's like wearing a band aid on your face. 00:30:25 Speaker 3: It's like you blurred out the pimple. 00:30:27 Speaker 2: Right, and we know what's under there. You edit it in post, Yes, exactly so. But I feel like the there's just so much money there. One of these industries has got to figure out how to just take care of them. Yeah, there's got to be some science that could like immediately take care now. And it may be this the sola wave. 00:30:45 Speaker 3: It may be that we may be making fun of this thing, but that may be the best thing for pimples ever. 00:30:50 Speaker 2: Right, do you do any sort of like skincare treatment? No? 00:30:53 Speaker 3: No, I do like I mean from my from my face. When I shave, right, I have to like xfoliate, So scrub. I scrub with a with like a sponge that that's soft enough for the face, but strong enough for a man, for a man, strung enough for a man, made for a woman. But I scrub that, clean it out, scrub good rints, and then I put on a solution, a topical solution called tinned skin. 00:31:18 Speaker 2: And that's pre shaved, post shape shot. And then like a just a shaving crebe. 00:31:24 Speaker 3: Well appreciate it. So here's the deal. I use clippers because I can't. You know, I am an African American, and my skin, my hair grows out and goes right back in. Okay, sure, so if it gets if I use a razor and I shaved too closely, the hair sometimes doesn't even leave the skin. Whoa, because it's it's like like angled at the at the follicle tip and it doesn't even leave so it just creates an infection. So I have so I have to shave at a at skin level, but I have There are shavers that do that. They get a close shave, but the hair is still present. 00:32:02 Speaker 2: And how often are you shaving? Like three every three days? 00:32:04 Speaker 3: Every two to three days schedule, depending on what I have to do, Like today, I knew I was coming here, so that did look right. 00:32:11 Speaker 2: I feel like I've never seen you scruffy or anything. I can grow a pretty big beerd okay, but it ages me and it's it's graying now, and don't give it away. Carl is nineteen years old. 00:32:23 Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm nineteen. I was born in two thousand and six. 00:32:28 Speaker 2: Six that's seven. 00:32:32 Speaker 3: Oh my god, I live in nineteen years. I graduated. We're about to have our twenty year reunion. You give me fiddling with stuff and I missed it up? 00:32:43 Speaker 2: Were you? What is that for? Actually there's a little hole in the table to put through. I don't need that. No, I have to shave every morning. Yeah, it's a total nightmare for me. 00:32:54 Speaker 3: Have I seen you with a beer? 00:32:55 Speaker 2: I can't grow a beer. That's the problem I have, Like terrible. Yeah, it's like I think that something has happened on one side of my face where a beard wouldn't connect directly with the hair, and so it's just not for me. Well, it'll never work out. 00:33:10 Speaker 3: Use a razor. 00:33:10 Speaker 2: I use a razor. It's such it's a nightmare. You put electric shave on after I do I have to do the whole situation. Yeah, it's just Uh, can you just get your face lasered? Uh? You can. 00:33:23 Speaker 3: I don't think you want to, but you can do that. I'm sure people do that. I'm sure they do. I'm sure there's people becau. There's probably people out there who don't want hair on their face. They grow hair on their face. 00:33:33 Speaker 2: Right, Oh yeah, like a mustache or whatever. Yeah right. I mean if that was a possibility for me, I think it would just be a time saving thing because I just it's not in my future. I guess I might be able to grow a mustache. But imagine me, I would such a perfect People would be like perfect. It would look tight. You got it. 00:33:53 Speaker 3: You got to embrace the stash. 00:33:55 Speaker 2: No, it would be a surrey. You're making the other customers uncomfortable, that kind of thing. 00:33:59 Speaker 3: I love this ash. I can't I can't go with that, and now. 00:34:01 Speaker 2: You've got a great mustag. Thank you. Uh. 00:34:05 Speaker 3: I sometimes will cut this little piece off because you can see it's very gray. 00:34:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's distinguished. 00:34:12 Speaker 3: You know, I have a job where everybody's young. 00:34:16 Speaker 2: You're in a business where everyone needs to be ninety. 00:34:18 Speaker 3: Yeah, everyone needs to be nineteen. So I kind of like, I don't like the way. If it grew in full gray, then i'd probably leave it a little bit more. 00:34:25 Speaker 1: Oh. 00:34:25 Speaker 2: Interesting, it's like. 00:34:26 Speaker 3: Very patchy gray, so I just look like a crazy person. 00:34:29 Speaker 2: Could you do a mass scare or something on it? 00:34:31 Speaker 3: Listen, I have tricks when I when I when I do grow to beerd that. I have tricks. 00:34:36 Speaker 2: Okay, you have to Yeah, yeah. 00:34:38 Speaker 3: I leave I leave my hair gray because I like that. 00:34:40 Speaker 2: Okay, it kind of looks cool. Yeah, I like that combination. But I darken up the beard, yeah beer. Yeah. Until it's fully gray, it feels it starts to get patchy or something. If there's a little bit of gray and it doesn't, it doesn't look it's not appealing, Carl. It's disgusting. 00:34:57 Speaker 3: It's disgusting, disgusting. 00:35:00 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's just not in my future, unfortunately, And it's I guess it's just something I have to deal with. But maybe I'll get a lasered or something. But does lasering never like it's not a permanent thing even right, you just can not. I don't think so. I think it lasts for a while, okay, but it's probably extremely painful. 00:35:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, you notice it. It's painful. 00:35:18 Speaker 2: They're burning. 00:35:18 Speaker 3: You're gonna hear it. You gotta wear ugly, weird plastic shade's gonna cut you above your nose. 00:35:25 Speaker 2: You don't have tattoos. I don't go one, two, three tattoos. When did you get your first tattoo? 00:35:30 Speaker 3: When I was thirty two? 00:35:31 Speaker 2: Oh? 00:35:32 Speaker 3: Wow, yeah, not long ago? 00:35:33 Speaker 2: And did it? Was there a reason or you're just like it's time to get a tattoo? 00:35:36 Speaker 3: But the first one we got for the TV show. 00:35:38 Speaker 2: That I was, oh, very Lord of the Rings. Yeah, they all get it a ring or something tattooed. 00:35:46 Speaker 3: That's fun. Yeah, we did that and that was my first one, and then I was like, man, I'm gonna get more. And then I got two that I don't regret. It ain't like a regret like I hate that I have these, but it is a I didn't need that, Like you know what I'm saying, right, it's got a regret, but it's like why I didn't need it? 00:36:05 Speaker 2: This is unnecessary, unnecessary? Right? 00:36:07 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:36:08 Speaker 2: One of them is La. What's the other tattoo? 00:36:10 Speaker 3: Missippi my home? 00:36:11 Speaker 2: Oh, I think that's nice. 00:36:12 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's got I got both my both my homes. 00:36:14 Speaker 2: They make sense. Yeah, it's not just like a random image or something. 00:36:18 Speaker 3: And I kind of want to do more stuff. My favorite flower is to magno Yeah, I kind of want to nice to stay flower Missipip. I kind of want to get a Magnoia situation. But I'm like, I don't want to do too much because then you got to start getting painted over right, do jobs, and it's like now your call time is five forty five in the morning when it could be. 00:36:34 Speaker 2: Just dip you and make up at this point. Yeah. Yeah, so yeah, that's my one concern about getting a tattoo is that I'll want more. 00:36:41 Speaker 3: Yeah, and you do you end up like you're like, Dad, I could I could get another one of these that didn't hurt as bad as I thought it did. 00:36:47 Speaker 2: Right, And then I think you probably at some point it's like, well, now I have to get some I have to get enough to just distract from the bad one. 00:36:54 Speaker 3: Yeah, and now you're getting a slick cut in your tongue and you're a lizard man. 00:37:01 Speaker 2: Okay, there's this other product that I just pulled out, which. 00:37:05 Speaker 3: Is the real Tree Edge. Yes, that is the real Tree Edge cologne. I got you one of those before on the live show. Gave it, yes at the live show, and you gave it away, and I knew that you felt awful for having to give it away, and so I brought you another bottle sixteen. I got a three pack. 00:37:26 Speaker 2: Yes, it comes in the three It comes in a three pack we gave. 00:37:29 Speaker 3: There's another listener another, another listener out there that has the other one. Now you have that one and I have one left. 00:37:35 Speaker 2: Wow, we're all kind of connected. Interesting this is, yeah, but who knows? Uh? Do you you use this though? Right? 00:37:42 Speaker 3: I used to? 00:37:43 Speaker 2: Not anymore? Did you get bad feedback about it? 00:37:46 Speaker 3: No? It smells kind of good. I don't think it. I just don't think it lasts very long. 00:37:49 Speaker 2: It smells nice. 00:37:50 Speaker 3: Used the use that of the warranty card on. 00:37:52 Speaker 2: The on the table idea. It's a little Yeah, it's not terrible. No, I never like have a really bad reaction to any perfume. I'm never like, oh it's enough. 00:38:06 Speaker 3: I'm trying to get into them. And like I asked like the girls at work and be like, all right, how does this one smell was? And they all have different opinions. Yeah. So like my the writer's assistant, Taylor, she's amazing, and she goes, well, your your base, yeah, you as a base present masculine, so you should have you could do a floral because I like a floral. 00:38:27 Speaker 2: Right, It's like putting a little salt on candy or something. Yeah, it's like the salt and sweet, the saltiness. 00:38:33 Speaker 3: Yes, I like. I like a floral. I like I like a light floral smell. I don't like something that's too late. I don't like tobacco and cigar that has never made any sense, sander wood and belt, I don't like those. So I like, I like a good floral. And I went and I wanted to get like an expensive one, right, So I was going around getting a ode to this u ode to joy and all that type of stuff, and like I was asking them the testimony, and then some girls be like, I like that one. I hate that one. That's the one I like yeah, there's no win. There's no winning. 00:39:07 Speaker 2: How are you. I think you can't really select one until you're in a relationship exactly. 00:39:11 Speaker 3: You can't ask random random women. 00:39:13 Speaker 2: No, that doesn't work. Yeah, that could have interesting. So and then do you go to like a department store to buy in. 00:39:19 Speaker 3: Yeah? 00:39:20 Speaker 2: Wow, I like this. It's kind of a fun little hot. 00:39:22 Speaker 3: Sax fifth Avenue on fifth, like the real sax fith Avenue aue classic the one, and they were closing, and so going to the one they were having a sale. Great, the one on the one on on actual fifth Avenue in New York City was closing, and so I went over there and I got like, uh, I got I forget which one it was, but it's Mason does something right. 00:39:42 Speaker 2: I don't know any of this, Yeah it is. 00:39:44 Speaker 3: But what you got to do is so what I do is I put a base layer of vanilla oil. 00:39:48 Speaker 2: Okay, and then I spread it. Oh that sounds lovely. 00:39:51 Speaker 3: I just went just when I dress up on every day, I don't. 00:39:55 Speaker 2: I don't do that going into the office smelling. Yeah, seems like you're I don't know. 00:40:00 Speaker 3: On Saturdays though, when we dress up and it's an important. 00:40:03 Speaker 2: Thing, right, I do right. It's like going out. 00:40:07 Speaker 3: And sometimes I'm worried I put too much. 00:40:09 Speaker 2: That's the biggest concern for me. It's just being like people should only be able to smell you when they're very close to you. 00:40:16 Speaker 3: Yes, I remember one time I was sitting on the couch next to somebody and they got up and went sat on another couch, and I went. I prayed that that wasn't because I stink, like because I got too much Cologno. 00:40:25 Speaker 2: The idea driving people away from my smell using my smell, there's kind of nothing worse I can imagine. 00:40:32 Speaker 3: It's the worst thing ever. 00:40:33 Speaker 2: Yes, Ellis, how is the charging going? Oh? Ellis has been in there, probably using it, probably just blasting zits away. Let's see here, it's time for me to do a little red blue light therapy. Thank you? All right? Okay, whoa? 00:40:56 Speaker 3: All right? 00:40:57 Speaker 2: Oh it is kind of purplely, so then you just hold I wonder how long you hold it on your face for. I guess you're supposed to read the directions. Read the direction. Yeah, let's see, tell me what to do here. Okay, it's very bright. I'll say that this is weird. Direction is stick it up your ass Let me see how. 00:41:18 Speaker 3: To use the device. Prior to using the device, make sure it's fully charged, clean the skin, Clean the skin that you want to treat. Make sure your skin is completely driving for using. Make sure the device is unplugged and place the device on the skin. Turn on the device, Enjoy the treatment. 00:41:32 Speaker 2: That's it. Look how long that book is? What else does it have to say? The rest is just like an original limited warranty. Safety. 00:41:40 Speaker 3: Do not use the device on swollen infector inflanned area such as skin eruptions. Do not imply. Do not apply excess of pressure. You was just pressing it up again, very hard. 00:41:49 Speaker 2: How long are you supposed to do? It doesn't even take you How long? No? All right? 00:41:53 Speaker 3: Waituh, enjoy the treatment. Press on and off for one second. Turn on LED therapy. You hear a beat when the device turned. The device switches off after three minute treatment automatically. You may stop the treatment anytime, so I guess three minutes. Take the device off the treatment, or clean the device using a water wipe. 00:42:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a lot of things I'm going to be ignoring with this one. 00:42:13 Speaker 3: Yeah, but it is. 00:42:15 Speaker 2: I'm feeling nothing but the fact that it said don't put it near any sort of like wound or whatever makes me think maybe it does do something, because why else would they warn you not to do something? Yeah? 00:42:28 Speaker 3: Have you ever not disposed of the device with household waste? The device should be recycled, It should be respected. The device contains a lithium ion battery. Oh, make sure that it's in your carry on. 00:42:40 Speaker 2: Oh use a carry on. 00:42:42 Speaker 3: Okay, see, now that's that's what I'm talking about. 00:42:45 Speaker 2: Do you check a bag? 00:42:46 Speaker 3: I only check a bag when I'm going for a long time, right. Other than that, I try to stuff everything in a carry on. 00:42:52 Speaker 2: Here. 00:42:53 Speaker 3: The hard part about the carry ons, though, is I like to bring multiple pairs of shoes. 00:42:59 Speaker 2: Oh, you got right. 00:43:01 Speaker 3: So I've been forcing myself to be like, you're only taking one pair, so take a good pair, take it life. 00:43:06 Speaker 2: That takes a lot of self control. 00:43:07 Speaker 3: Then, because I wear I was fourteen, So in a carry on that's a big shoe. That's like taking up one whole side one pair. 00:43:13 Speaker 2: Can they go in the personal bag? You could throw something there. 00:43:17 Speaker 3: I got a big backpack. I use that for my hat case traveling sales, all right, I have, and then my other bag I used for encyclopedias. 00:43:29 Speaker 2: And then I pushed the fact. 00:43:30 Speaker 3: Yeah, and then I fold out my shirt. There's with the knives though. 00:43:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, I will do everything in my power to only use a carry on. Yeah, I'm just like, well, I guess I'll just not dress that. Well, it's better than having to wait at a carousel. 00:43:48 Speaker 3: That's so true, so so true. So I checked the bag when I was coming home for the summer and I'm here for months, and so I checked the bag and I was like, I still could have brought just a carry. 00:43:59 Speaker 2: On, but I want I there was other shoes that I wanted to switch out. 00:44:02 Speaker 3: Yeah, but like I waiting for that back. It took thirty minutes. It took thirty minutes. First of all, we landed, we got off the plane, saw one of my favorite influencers and had to can you say respect? Yes, this guy named Hungry for Munchies. Like that name he has, he has, He has great content. 00:44:20 Speaker 2: He just eating things. Yeah, he just eats. 00:44:22 Speaker 3: Stuff and does reviews or he'll like see a video and he'll make something. And he's got a great vibe to him. And he was on the plane. I was like, hey, man, love your videos. And he's like, what do you do. I was like, I'm a writer at SNL and he's like, you write like the jokes, And I guess you could say that I write some of the jokes. 00:44:39 Speaker 2: Yes, wow, Yeah, that's Hungry for Monchies. 00:44:45 Speaker 3: Hungry for Munchie shoutout, hungry for Munchies. He's great, he is a great content creator. I'm promoting this channel on here. 00:44:51 Speaker 2: And so this was while waiting for the baggage. 00:44:54 Speaker 3: Well, I saw him getting off the plane. We got all together and then we ended up on the escalator at the same time. That's when i Will felt the confidence to say, hey, I. 00:45:03 Speaker 2: Like your videos. All right, this guy is currently on another podcast being like this guy approached me and said, hey man. 00:45:09 Speaker 3: He was so weird. He kept rubbing the back of my hand. He said he had knives in his jacket and he's pushing a vacuum. 00:45:22 Speaker 2: Every house needs something. 00:45:24 Speaker 3: He was wearing a he was wearing a plaid suit jacket with with with elbow patches. He kept he kept licking his hand and combing his hair over. 00:45:37 Speaker 2: Well, I'm so glad to have my new Colonne. Yes, it's kind of like a Yeah. 00:45:44 Speaker 3: I wasn't going to allow you to escape. This is a curse to be a real tree brother. 00:45:48 Speaker 2: I okay, I'm this one. I'm gonna commit to having this in my house. Leaving my house, it will be there in my medicine cabinet or something. 00:45:57 Speaker 3: One day. You're gonna have guests coming over. 00:46:03 Speaker 2: And then they'll recognize that. They'll say, I've smelled that somewhere before. 00:46:06 Speaker 3: When I think of that, I think of rugged masculinity, perhaps hunting down a creature that's mineing his business in its own habitat. I think I think of actually dressing up like that creature, or dressing up like the environment around the creature and killing that guy. 00:46:24 Speaker 2: Have you ever been hunting? 00:46:25 Speaker 3: Yeah? 00:46:25 Speaker 2: Okay, do you like it? 00:46:27 Speaker 3: No? 00:46:27 Speaker 2: Okay? 00:46:28 Speaker 3: Guns are too loud. 00:46:30 Speaker 2: That's the issue. 00:46:31 Speaker 3: Yeah, guns are too loud. There's other issues. My main problem. That is a problem what the problem is for the deers. But my main problem. Gun's too loud. 00:46:44 Speaker 2: That's my problem with plane crashes too loud, too loud. 00:46:48 Speaker 3: To getting out of here. 00:46:53 Speaker 2: I think we should play a game. 00:46:54 Speaker 3: Let's do it. 00:46:55 Speaker 2: We're going to play gift to a curse. I need a number between one and ten from you. Give me six, Okay, I have to do some like calculating, so you can promote, recommend, do whatever you want. 00:47:04 Speaker 3: Okay, it's my time to promote, so I'm gonna I'm gonna recommend you check out Hungry for Munchie's videos, and I'm also gonna recommend you check out Real Tree Edge Cologne. We have a show where we talk about sopranos, but we mostly just talk about our own personal and private lives for forty five minutes and then go all right. So Tony was tripping this episode right, that's. 00:48:01 Speaker 2: The way to recap a show. Yeah, okay, this is how we play gift to a curse. I'll name three you know how, I'll name three things. You tell me if they're a gift to you a curse, and why I'll tell if you're right or wrong. You've lost and won this game, So who knows what's gonna happen this time? All right? This first one is from a listener named Brian Gift or a curse. Airport lounges Gift, Why. 00:48:21 Speaker 3: I'll tell you. No, I'm changing my answer. No, No, I'm keeping my hand and I'm gonna tell you why. I was flying Delta one to come home recently. Not paid for by me. Don't think I'm anna Coastal Elite. Yeah, it was paid for by yet I will because I will be doing that. But it was I had access to the lounge and I hadn't. I got to the airport, said, I want to say, like three or four hours early before my flight or my flight got moved when I got to the air or something like that. And they had sleeping lounges, Oh my god, and they had a napline and I was like, how long can I be in there, and they were like, well, we give about an hour. 00:49:07 Speaker 2: You can't move in. 00:49:08 Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't move in, but if nobody is no, if nobody's coming after you, you can just and we'll alert if somebody's coming. I was like, I really only need an hour. 00:49:17 Speaker 2: I was just that early. 00:49:19 Speaker 3: I really need like an hour hour and fifteen hour thirty. When I tell you, I went in that joker and conked out. I was like, this is great, this is great. So and also the food is always fine. I love a sausage. I love a breakfast sausage. I love a pancake. I like to mix my pancakes and sausage. 00:49:44 Speaker 2: Make a little hot dog, get a little pick and a blanket. 00:49:47 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's good. The eggs you could tell they're made from that powder. 00:49:52 Speaker 2: The powder. 00:49:53 Speaker 3: Yeah, they're definitely powdered eggs. I'm not a coffee drinker. Do love the free champagne at six thirty in the morning, like a real degenerate. And uh yeah, sometimes the views are great to the I like planes. I'm an ad geek. So I'm gonna say gift. 00:50:11 Speaker 2: Carl, wrong, wrong, Now, Carl, we have a class problem in America. You've just described. These things should be absolutely, absolutely removed. These this should be illegal. What you've just described is unless we're all in the airport lounge. None of us is in the airport. 00:50:33 Speaker 3: Lounge seeking of class issues. You wouldn't say that if you was in an ape class. Sorry, sorry that I did the work. Sorry, I did my homework. 00:50:42 Speaker 2: When the revolution starts, they're going to go to the airport lounge just first, right, they're gonna be dragging people out of those sleeping booths. 00:50:48 Speaker 3: I ain't gonna make it a sleepoo. I'm gonna loose that door. Y'all can do whatever you want to with them people out there eating the powdered eggs. But no, I'm gonna be sleep. 00:50:58 Speaker 4: No. 00:50:58 Speaker 2: Ever, the whole airport should be the lounge, not just for Carl and his gorgeous cross country flight. Okay, so you've gotten one wrong so far. You're in some bad territory cross. 00:51:11 Speaker 3: Country flight, not even not even out of the country flight. I don't leave America to fifty. 00:51:18 Speaker 2: All right. The second one is from my listener named Lisa Gift or a curse going away parties. 00:51:24 Speaker 3: Curse Why cause I don't want my friends to go nowhere? Oh we're moving too. Many people are moving out of Los Angeles. They going home and I'm going back to Denver. It's like, no, stay, let's kick it. Don't know. And also like what do you do? I get you a gift, but you're moving, so no curse? 00:51:46 Speaker 2: Correct. Yes, yeah it's a bummer. Yeah, it's not a fun thing. It's not fun for the person, and that it ends in tears. You just stick around, Yeah, stick around. Everybody needs to just stick around if you found your place, don't. 00:52:01 Speaker 3: You know with the even more of a curse. But a going away party, well, these are people who'll be like, I'm leaving for three weeks. 00:52:07 Speaker 2: Those are the people who need to leave. 00:52:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, they leave longer. Stay gone. 00:52:12 Speaker 2: Going away party unless you're gonna be gone for over a year, actually I would say over three years. Yes, we don't need to have a going away going away no, no, no, I need a full move. I need to see like the mortgage payment of your next location. If I'm throwing it going away, yeah, because you're not wasting my time with your stupid party. 00:52:31 Speaker 3: I need to see four buff Armenian guys outside smoking, ready to get all your shit out of your place. 00:52:38 Speaker 2: All right, You've gotten one right so far. This is the final one from a listener named Britney. Gift your a curse casual restaurants that have no clear direction on if you bust your own tables? Curse? Why tell me? Like? What? Who? 00:52:54 Speaker 3: I so that's not really casual? I would say that's more like fast food. You don't know if you like take the tray up to the front and dump it in the in the swinging door trash can uh because like at a casual restaurant, you're not gonna bust your own table. 00:53:12 Speaker 2: I guess we're talking fast casual. 00:53:14 Speaker 3: Here, like fast like Applebee's and stuff like that. 00:53:16 Speaker 2: You know, it's more of a category of let's try I'm trying to think of, like I think a Chipotle a like. 00:53:26 Speaker 3: Uh so I would consider Chipotle fast food, right, but a little bit higher than MacDonald's light right, but fast fast, sit down, but not casual. I don't know either way. I agree that's a curse. You're supposed to tell me if if I'm supposed tosks my momouf because I don't want to leave being the dick, it would have like if I leave my stuff there because I thought I was supposed to, and. 00:53:50 Speaker 2: That person's like, I'm gonna remember that person forever. 00:53:54 Speaker 3: I know that guy. I've seen him on the wine joint with the friends sitting around. I know that guy. I'm about going Reddit and blastest blast at motherfucker. 00:54:04 Speaker 2: Correct. No, this is a curse. This to me is this is a real issue where I've run into this, where it's a problem where you'll be like, I'll be someone who's been to the restaurant multiple times, but there's no clear direction. And I know that you're not supposed to bust your own tables, and so I know to leave this stuff there, but my friend doesn't. Now, my friend thinks I'm a bad person, and there's no proof. Yea, there's no. I can't prove to them that I'm not just lazy because I do clear my table when necessary. Of course, there should be signs. 00:54:34 Speaker 3: I think the rule is Trey. I could be wrong about this, but I think the rule is Trey and swing indoor trash can because Chipotle only has those little circle trash cans. So that means that somebody else is going to handle this. 00:54:46 Speaker 2: No, Chipotle, you handle it yourself. You kidding me? So Chipotle the problem is they just have a horrible garbage can. Yeah, those things. They're asking for. 00:54:55 Speaker 3: Food to be everywhere, Yeah, right next to the forks. 00:54:58 Speaker 2: I guess it's because they don't want to throw away. They are trying to keep you from throwing away the basket. 00:55:02 Speaker 3: That's what it is. 00:55:03 Speaker 2: But sorry, I don't I guess that's just the cost of doing business. Sometimes the basket gets thrown away. 00:55:09 Speaker 3: I didn't realize that you bush your own tables out. 00:55:11 Speaker 2: Oh, yes, you do. 00:55:12 Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess you would. Yeah, I'm trying to think of place your own table out of McDonald's and Burricy. 00:55:17 Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, there's a I think maybe unless I think it should just entirely be bust your own tables unless there's a waiter involved. Yeah, because this weird gray area leads to employees hating you, yeah, or your friends thinking you're a slob. 00:55:32 Speaker 3: But if there's a waiter involved, slide that tray off like a cat, make. 00:55:38 Speaker 2: Them clean it off the floor. Yeah. All right, well you got two out of three. I love it. Not too bad. Yeah, you've I feel like you've kind of learned to balance this game. All right, let's I want to play another game with you. This is a little bit faster. It's called invite lists. I'm going to start naming a list of celebrities. You'll tell me if they're invited or not invited to your party, all right, and you only get to name, You only get to pick ten. So once you've got ten, that's the party. 00:56:04 Speaker 3: And I'm going away for three weeks and you're coming away for three weeks. 00:56:07 Speaker 2: Who's coming to your three weeks going away? Farty? Okay? Margaret Qually? 00:56:13 Speaker 3: Who is that? 00:56:15 Speaker 2: She's uh did you see the substance? 00:56:19 Speaker 1: Uh? 00:56:19 Speaker 3: Oh oh, yes, she can come. So Morgan Freeman cannot go. 00:58:23 Speaker 2: Wow, that's a shame. 00:58:25 Speaker 3: Yeah, rfk, No, Cheryl can come. 00:58:31 Speaker 2: No, shit, can't. Jason Momoa dayson. 00:58:35 Speaker 3: More school as hell? He can go, right, that's oh no, let's take some people off. 00:58:42 Speaker 2: Nope, that's the part. 00:58:43 Speaker 4: I also just have to note that more people on the list than not on the list. 00:58:48 Speaker 2: More people on the list than not on list. 00:58:50 Speaker 4: What do you mean meaning meaning we went through more people? The list is endless? 00:59:00 Speaker 3: Okay, all right? Any basketball players on there? 00:59:03 Speaker 2: Yeah, there are all sorts of people I like. I've been kind of compiling a list of celebrity names for the last six years, essentially just adding people as I remember them. Lucy Lou I would assume, I will say they are probably basketball players that are from when I was in middle school, people that when I was watching basketb Yeah, they could come, But who was on the list? All right? 00:59:24 Speaker 4: We have Margaret Qually, Lucy Lou, Lauren Sanchez, Ryan Seacrest, Jessica Simpson, Doci, Bernie Sanders, Denzel Washington, Sean Penn, and Jason Momoa. 00:59:37 Speaker 2: You gotta be a little more discerning. 00:59:38 Speaker 3: I gotta be a lot of a little move. You got to have a little bit more of a diverse list. What the hell is this? People are gonna be like, you gotta jump party because I want all those people there, but also just Docie and Denzel and ow two black people come to my party. 00:59:50 Speaker 2: You said no to Morgan Freeman, he can't come. 00:59:53 Speaker 3: Charles Barkley on that list somewhere, I'm like, he probably is. 00:59:56 Speaker 2: I bet Charles Barkley's definitely on those list. Doesn't address you, which I find unfortunately. Whatever. Okay says I want to get a gift for someone I admire, but I'm afraid to be inappropriate. I will be abroad for my last year of college, so I'd like to get my favorite professor something before I leave, to tell her how much I appreciate her mentorship. She teaches classics, dresses impeccably, and is into trap music. She loves an air Mes scarf, but I don't really have an air Mes budget. You have to have been in this situation before and must know what I'm up against. I have no doubt in my mind that you'll come up with something really good. This is no, I'm not. Perhaps your very agreeable guest can wait in as well. I'll be awaiting your reply. Thank you for both your time and discernment on this important matter. And that's from Tabitha. Okay, so Tabitha's professor, favorite professor. She wants to get them a gift, and all we know about this professors they teach the classics, dressed nicely, and they're into trap music. What do we get this person. I've never purchased a professor a gift in college long enough, I stayed in college too long. And still, obviously you don't need to buy them a book. No. I imagine that this college professor has all sorts of books and then but this person doesn't have the money for this this Uh. 01:01:50 Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe so maybe just like I don't know t I's got a new album coming out, but I mean the fathers of trap music. 01:02:00 Speaker 2: I T I C gift car t I C d Well. I mean maybe the professor's you know, a little bit older and has a CD player. 01:02:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, that could be. 01:02:09 Speaker 2: That could be true, but it is TI even putting out CDs is the big question. 01:02:13 Speaker 3: I think at that point, you just getting insomnia cookies. 01:02:15 Speaker 2: Oh I hate those cookies. 01:02:18 Speaker 3: Insomnia. So the producer, the producer, the professor can get one that's fresh. 01:02:59 Speaker 2: And uh, I mean, does the professor have to go to the airport where you get them? All on? These go to the mall? But you say cinabun sinabun? Yeah, I do too, but apparently it's cinnabon. 01:03:11 Speaker 3: I ain't called it that. 01:03:12 Speaker 2: There's no way, are you kidding me? 01:03:14 Speaker 3: Cinnabon. 01:03:17 Speaker 2: Cinnabon makes more sense because it rhymes of cinnamon. 01:03:19 Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm calling it a cinemon. 01:03:22 Speaker 2: But I think that's a nice idea. A little trip to the mall for the professor. Yeah, they can get some shopping. They can buy their own right right, Maybe make a playlist of trap music, yes, send that to them. 01:03:35 Speaker 3: Run all right, the new TI, the new TI out right, two chains. Yeah, get the cinnabun thing. That's a nice No one's expecting that at this point. 01:03:59 Speaker 3: And that Professor garantee, that professor has not had a cinebun for a long time. 01:04:04 Speaker 2: Right, it's a throwback. I had a cinema a minute time to treat myself. No one goes out of their way to buy themselves a cinebon, so if you're forced to, I think that's very nice. Well, we answered the question perfectly. Enjoy the last year of college or whatever. Tabitham, you played the game pretty well. Thank you. I've got my cologne back in my life.
