But Abraham Lincoln would 0:01:43.480 --> 0:01:45.600 be one of those names where you'd say, well, the 0:01:45.640 --> 0:01:50.440 greatness of what he accomplished with the ending of slavery, 0:01:51.520 --> 0:01:55.000 the greatness that he accomplished with all of this, wouldn't 0:01:55.000 --> 0:01:58.040 that then make him at least somewhat immune to these 0:01:58.080 --> 0:02:03.720 efforts to destroy historical figures based upon some perception of 0:02:03.720 --> 0:02:06.720 what they should be that's constantly changing and very new 0:02:06.840 --> 0:02:09.920 to our current moment. Right near what is 0:04:40.520 --> 0:04:42.960 known as Columbus Circle, named for Christopher Columbus, is a 0:04:43.040 --> 0:04:47.480 very large, very prominent statue of Christopher Columbus. There is 0:04:47.520 --> 0:04:52.159 an army of NYPD officers that are deployed in a 0:04:52.279 --> 0:04:57.840 huge circle with barricades, and they've got they've got all 0:04:57.920 --> 0:05:03.000 kinds of additional e su and vehicles deployed. It's it's crazy. 0:05:03.320 --> 0:05:05.440 And I've asked the cops. But they stand for equality.
