It wasn't, in fact naked pictures. 0:04:32.040 --> 0:04:35.359 They were fake, but you couldn't tell. They appeared entirely real. 0:04:35.400 --> 0:04:38.200 And that classmate sent it to every kid in her school. 0:04:38.240 --> 0:04:41.200 And so this poor fourteen year old girl wakes up 0:04:41.320 --> 0:04:43.880 just in tears with all of her friends thinking they're 0:04:43.920 --> 0:04:48.960 looking at naked pictures of her. You don't have a right to 0:05:31.279 --> 0:05:34.720 do that. That is a grotesque violation of privacy and 0:05:35.000 --> 0:05:38.000 it shouldn't be allowed. But the other instance is what 0:05:38.080 --> 0:05:40.960 I just described, where it's a real person but it's 0:05:41.000 --> 0:05:44.520 a deep fake and AI lets you create pictures and 0:05:44.560 --> 0:05:47.880 even videos that you can't tell they're not real, and 0:05:48.839 --> 0:05:51.440 the take it Down legislation makes that a crime as well. 0:05:52.320 --> 0:05:56.159 And then critically, it puts a legal obligation on the 0:05:56.200 --> 0:05:59.919 tech platforms to take the content down when the victor 0:06:00.279 --> 0:06:05.839 notifies them that is non consensual. We're going to make 0:08:51.559 --> 0:08:56.839 it public. And Gavin, this teenager, he committed suicide. He 0:08:57.120 --> 0:09:02.160 took his own life. The entire time between the first 0:09:02.200 --> 0:09:06.559 outreach from this scammer and when Gavin committed suicide was 0:09:06.600 --> 0:09:07.840 one hour and forty minutes. 0:09:08.800 --> 0:09:11.600 Oh my gosh.
