We spoke to a lot of 0:08:06.200 --> 0:08:08.680 people who knew him, and we gathered a ton of 0:08:08.720 --> 0:08:11.240 clues while we were out there. We had known, for example, 0:14:46.600 --> 0:14:49.120 that there was a link between Reddit banning deep fake 0:14:49.160 --> 0:14:53.600 pornography in twenty eighteen and the emergence of mister deep Fakes, 0:14:53.760 --> 0:14:56.720 but now we could see it happening in real time. 0:14:57.200 --> 0:15:01.200 On February third, twenty eighteen, three notable things happen. A 0:15:01.240 --> 0:15:04.800 BBC article reports that Reddit is considering action against the 0:15:04.840 --> 0:15:08.560 deep fake trend because it was non consensual. That very 0:15:08.560 --> 0:15:12.040 same day, the original domain name of mister deep Fakes 0:15:12.160 --> 0:15:16.600 dpfks dot com is registered, and on a site called 0:15:16.640 --> 0:15:20.400 black hat World Forum, a thread emerges around the potential 0:15:20.480 --> 0:15:21.400 Reddit band news. 0:15:21.840 --> 0:15:24.600 This is one risky way to get traffic. I see 0:15:24.640 --> 0:15:27.160 a new porn method here.
