Jabril Robinson in two thousand and sixty 0:02:30.919 --> 0:02:32.639 and was shot twice in the back and once in 0:02:32.680 --> 0:02:35.280 the head by Atlanta police after leaving an altercation in 0:02:35.400 --> 0:02:38.800 its girlfriend's house. People are still calling for justice and 0:02:38.880 --> 0:02:41.880 his name to this day. Israeli forces and settlers have 0:04:04.720 --> 0:04:07.480 killed twenty Palestinians during the unrest in the West Bank, 0:04:07.720 --> 0:04:10.600 a Palestinian human rights group said, and the wave of 0:04:10.640 --> 0:04:13.720 mob attacks hit at least one mixed Arab Jewish city 0:04:13.720 --> 0:04:16.520 in Israel. I agree with some people to the extent 0:04:16.520 --> 0:04:19.719 when they say that the Israeli Palestinian conflict is very complicated, 0:04:19.720 --> 0:04:22.080 but there are some things that aren't that complicated. After the Jump, Black power activists 0:11:28.559 --> 0:11:32.400 have long identified with the Palestinian struggle against Israel, seeing 0:11:32.400 --> 0:11:35.160 in the former of kindred people of color fighting for 0:11:35.240 --> 0:11:40.760 freedom against imperialist domination. Now Historically, a bevy of thinkers 0:11:40.840 --> 0:11:43.959 have seen the United States and Israel as white supremacist, 0:11:44.080 --> 0:11:50.120 settler colonial projects that shared core tenants, oppressive tactics, aggressive strategies, 0:11:50.520 --> 0:11:54.800 propaganda techniques, and apparatus is. As a result, key historical 0:11:54.840 --> 0:11:59.160 figures such as Malcolm X, James Baldwin, A Mere Baraka, 0:11:59.360 --> 0:12:03.319 and various other black organizations, including Student Non Violent Coordination 0:12:03.320 --> 0:12:06.920 Committee and the Black Panthers of All express support for Palestine. 0:12:07.000 --> 0:12:09.760 For example, the Student Non Violent Coordinating Committee, which was 0:12:09.760 --> 0:12:11.959 a civil rights group form to give younger black people 0:12:12.000 --> 0:12:14.400 more of a voice during the civil rights movement, declared 0:12:14.480 --> 0:12:17.840 solidarity with Palestine during the Arabs really War in nineteen seventies. 0:12:18.240 --> 0:12:21.120 In nine seven, a couple of years later, the League 0:12:21.160 --> 0:12:24.880 of Revolutionary Black Workers formed in Detroit. The l RBW transform 0:12:43.960 --> 0:12:47.760 the Wayne State University student newspaper into a radical citywide paper, 0:12:47.800 --> 0:12:52.040 but after publishing pro Palestine articles, the administration used false 0:12:52.120 --> 0:12:55.080 charges of anti Semitism to launch an all out attack 0:12:55.640 --> 0:13:00.400 on the LBW on campus. So they've been doing that stuff, 0:13:00.840 --> 0:13:04.360 you know, for fifty years. We will 0:15:39.360 --> 0:15:41.160 go on doing this and we would like for all 0:15:41.200 --> 0:15:43.800 progressive people around the world to join our ranks in 0:15:43.920 --> 0:15:46.240 order to make a world in which all people can live. 0:15:46.800 --> 0:15:50.800 Is The BPP evolved into an internationalist organization focusing not 0:15:50.920 --> 0:15:54.400 only on struggle for black liberation the United States, but 0:15:54.560 --> 0:16:01.360 seeing the linkages between other resistance movements against subjugation of 0:16:01.400 --> 0:16:04.360 peoples of color and the way that the way that 0:16:04.360 --> 0:16:08.040 they use similar tactics of militarization and police occupation in 0:16:08.080 --> 0:16:11.120 other countries. The Black Panther Party recognized that in order 0:16:11.160 --> 0:16:13.040 to end the oppression of people United States say to 0:16:13.080 --> 0:16:15.800 work to end imperialism all over the world, because the 0:16:15.880 --> 0:16:19.320 United States not only perpetrating a form of genocide against 0:16:19.320 --> 0:16:22.040 black people here, but you know the way that we've 0:16:22.080 --> 0:16:26.239 been exploiting Africa, the way that we fund uh the struggles, 0:16:26.240 --> 0:16:30.960 and the way we fund oppression through um you know, 0:16:31.080 --> 0:16:34.280 military coups in South America, like all over the world. 0:16:34.640 --> 0:16:37.040 We got our fingers and some ship. It's all imperialism. 0:16:37.200 --> 0:16:39.280 And so for them, Palestine with the forefront of that 0:16:39.360 --> 0:16:45.200 worldwide confrontation.
