The Jaguars entertained the Cleveland Browns this 12 00:00:51,720 --> 00:00:54,520 Speaker 1: Saturday night at t I A A. Bank Field. Camp 13 00:00:54,560 --> 00:00:58,360 Speaker 1: battles continue. I'm sure Tony has some thoughts about the 14 00:00:58,440 --> 00:01:01,520 Speaker 1: offensive line spot and some other positions. We have plenty 15 00:01:01,560 --> 00:01:04,920 Speaker 1: of social media questions. People have been clamoring to get 16 00:01:04,959 --> 00:01:08,080 Speaker 1: their questions in for Pete and Tony, and we'll go 17 00:01:08,120 --> 00:01:11,880 Speaker 1: around the National Football League. Tony Boselli is with me 18 00:01:12,000 --> 00:01:16,200 Speaker 1: here in studio. Pete Frisco is not he's down in 19 00:01:16,240 --> 00:01:19,920 Speaker 1: South Florida. But uh boy, it's great to see you 20 00:01:19,959 --> 00:01:25,360 Speaker 1: both again. Guys. What's up? Tony? Oh doing good? To 21 00:01:25,440 --> 00:01:32,520 Speaker 1: the seat? One minute, Tony? One minute? To get to 22 00:01:32,600 --> 00:01:34,959 Speaker 1: your seat? Did you get to your seat? L Drake 23 00:01:36,360 --> 00:01:40,600 Speaker 1: to sell, I feel like we're at practice. Wait a second, 24 00:01:40,680 --> 00:01:43,720 Speaker 1: I mean I might need that. That might help me 25 00:01:44,840 --> 00:01:48,840 Speaker 1: A little direction, A little direction, one less thing to 26 00:01:48,880 --> 00:01:52,120 Speaker 1: think about, think about. I mean, Pete, you mock it 27 00:01:52,200 --> 00:01:55,960 Speaker 1: a little bit. I like it's organized detail. You might 28 00:01:56,000 --> 00:01:58,560 Speaker 1: act you might actually need it for this show. By 29 00:01:58,560 --> 00:02:00,840 Speaker 1: the way, how many times last year a p was 30 00:02:00,880 --> 00:02:06,080 Speaker 1: he like wandering away and paying no attention right before 31 00:02:06,080 --> 00:02:08,880 Speaker 1: this show today? Pete? I mean he literally sat in 32 00:02:08,919 --> 00:02:11,680 Speaker 1: the chair ten seconds before the show started. On time, 33 00:02:11,720 --> 00:02:16,320 Speaker 1: baby time. I don't know, man, well, I mean, Pete, 34 00:02:16,360 --> 00:02:19,880 Speaker 1: you're a practice. You don't like the the loudspeaker, the 35 00:02:20,080 --> 00:02:25,640 Speaker 1: uh P A counting down thirty seconds next drill hydrate, hydrate, 36 00:02:25,720 --> 00:02:32,400 Speaker 1: hydrate ten nine. Hey, I mean I can only imagine. 37 00:02:32,440 --> 00:02:35,359 Speaker 1: I'm sure as a veteran, you know, you know, we 38 00:02:35,400 --> 00:02:37,880 Speaker 1: would have fun with it. But the one thing I 39 00:02:37,919 --> 00:02:42,960 Speaker 1: do appreciate, and I've been super impressed, Um, they were 40 00:02:43,000 --> 00:02:45,960 Speaker 1: on a tight camp. It is organized and everyone knows 41 00:02:46,000 --> 00:02:50,200 Speaker 1: exactly where to go when to be there, move movement before, 42 00:02:50,600 --> 00:02:53,359 Speaker 1: in between drills, not a lot of waste time, Pete. 43 00:02:53,400 --> 00:02:57,239 Speaker 1: It reminds me a little bit of Tom. I mean 44 00:02:57,320 --> 00:03:00,520 Speaker 1: Tom was yeah, practices a crisp. I get give them that. 45 00:03:00,560 --> 00:03:03,040 Speaker 1: They moved, they get it moving, they do it the 46 00:03:03,120 --> 00:03:05,680 Speaker 1: right way. I just you know me, Tony, I'm a 47 00:03:05,680 --> 00:03:08,720 Speaker 1: little old school. I don't. I mean, you don't need 48 00:03:08,919 --> 00:03:12,480 Speaker 1: that microphone out there. You get a horn in a whistle, 49 00:03:12,560 --> 00:03:14,600 Speaker 1: I mean, come on it just like it took me 50 00:03:14,639 --> 00:03:16,480 Speaker 1: a long time to get used to music on the 51 00:03:16,560 --> 00:03:19,640 Speaker 1: practice here, which I still don't like, by the way. Um, 52 00:03:19,680 --> 00:03:21,760 Speaker 1: I just, I just I'm old school. I want to 53 00:03:21,800 --> 00:03:24,200 Speaker 1: I want to see the coach. Coach blow the whistle, 54 00:03:24,240 --> 00:03:27,280 Speaker 1: blow the horn. Yeah, there's no music out there. There's 55 00:03:27,320 --> 00:03:29,799 Speaker 1: some music. It's not as loud as the music is 56 00:03:29,840 --> 00:03:31,560 Speaker 1: not as loud. I mean, you know they want to 57 00:03:31,560 --> 00:03:35,080 Speaker 1: save some ear drums. That's fine. I'll still it reminds 58 00:03:35,280 --> 00:03:37,920 Speaker 1: It reminds me of Tom when I remember when I 59 00:03:37,960 --> 00:03:39,680 Speaker 1: was a rookie, and I mean my whole time here 60 00:03:40,200 --> 00:03:42,560 Speaker 1: while there was no one counting down, there might as 61 00:03:42,600 --> 00:03:45,480 Speaker 1: well be because it was Tom screaming to get to 62 00:03:45,520 --> 00:03:48,760 Speaker 1: the next drill and that buzzer went off and you 63 00:03:48,920 --> 00:03:51,600 Speaker 1: better be moving. Yeah, I just don't the Urbans the 64 00:03:51,600 --> 00:03:53,560 Speaker 1: type to scream at the top of his lungs like 65 00:03:53,600 --> 00:03:56,280 Speaker 1: he's not gonna be doing that. Well, if it wasn't, 66 00:03:56,480 --> 00:04:01,320 Speaker 1: it wasn't. If it wasn't tom My Mike Maser late 67 00:04:01,360 --> 00:04:03,800 Speaker 1: Mike Maser Um who passed away a few years ago, 68 00:04:03,840 --> 00:04:06,520 Speaker 1: my offensive line coach. He was in your ear making 69 00:04:06,520 --> 00:04:10,119 Speaker 1: sure And I'll never forget that. First the first minicamp 70 00:04:10,320 --> 00:04:12,800 Speaker 1: buzzer went off and you're looking around and you better 71 00:04:12,840 --> 00:04:15,360 Speaker 1: be spritting to the next you know, the next spot. 72 00:04:15,920 --> 00:04:17,520 Speaker 1: And it reminds me a little bit of that very 73 00:04:17,640 --> 00:04:20,479 Speaker 1: organized Um. And the other thing that jumped out at 74 00:04:20,560 --> 00:04:25,599 Speaker 1: me from practice is Urban's involvement, Like if anyone was 75 00:04:25,680 --> 00:04:29,520 Speaker 1: questioning his energy level, his passion, you know, that was 76 00:04:29,560 --> 00:04:33,240 Speaker 1: a lot of talk like making the transition to the 77 00:04:33,240 --> 00:04:36,080 Speaker 1: pro game, you know, coming out of the booth. You 78 00:04:36,120 --> 00:04:38,480 Speaker 1: know he had the health issues in the past where 79 00:04:38,480 --> 00:04:41,679 Speaker 1: you're gonna get you know, Urban at his best. Well, 80 00:04:42,640 --> 00:04:47,640 Speaker 1: so far he's answered that question because it is full energy, 81 00:04:48,040 --> 00:04:53,320 Speaker 1: ton of you know juice and him involved participating, you know, 82 00:04:53,440 --> 00:04:56,719 Speaker 1: working with guys one on one. Um in the middle 83 00:04:56,720 --> 00:04:59,800 Speaker 1: of the drills, like like in the middle of the drills, 84 00:05:00,360 --> 00:05:03,160 Speaker 1: in running around. I agree. I agree that was impressive 85 00:05:03,240 --> 00:05:07,120 Speaker 1: that he does. Anybody who questions his energy level in 86 00:05:07,240 --> 00:05:09,599 Speaker 1: terms of being involved in being active that that that 87 00:05:09,680 --> 00:05:12,600 Speaker 1: was misguided. I don't. I don't see that at all. 88 00:05:13,000 --> 00:05:15,599 Speaker 1: But I will say this, the only three people in 89 00:05:15,640 --> 00:05:18,320 Speaker 1: the city of Jacksonville who aren't a coach on that 90 00:05:18,360 --> 00:05:20,280 Speaker 1: staff for US three. I mean, how do you go 91 00:05:21,520 --> 00:05:25,599 Speaker 1: four twenty two field is fault it's new and Pete 92 00:05:25,600 --> 00:05:28,599 Speaker 1: it's the new NFL. Every player has a coach. You 93 00:05:28,640 --> 00:05:31,880 Speaker 1: have your personal coach. They say, listen, they said it 94 00:05:31,920 --> 00:05:33,760 Speaker 1: was gonna be all about the players. My goodness, it 95 00:05:33,880 --> 00:05:37,200 Speaker 1: is every guy. Everybody's got their own personal athletic trainer too. 96 00:05:37,200 --> 00:05:40,480 Speaker 1: If I mean, there's more trainers and equipment guys and 97 00:05:40,520 --> 00:05:44,480 Speaker 1: coaches and strength coaches. And you can't get right here, 98 00:05:44,480 --> 00:05:47,120 Speaker 1: You're not getting right anywhere that I've been doing this 99 00:05:47,200 --> 00:05:49,920 Speaker 1: for a long time and I travel around the league, 100 00:05:50,160 --> 00:05:53,800 Speaker 1: and I don't ever remember seeing that many people on 101 00:05:53,839 --> 00:05:58,440 Speaker 1: a practice field. I don't. Everybody has Jaguars garb on 102 00:05:58,640 --> 00:06:01,640 Speaker 1: the entire field is all of it. No, there's a 103 00:06:01,680 --> 00:06:06,760 Speaker 1: lot of people it'll be interesting to see it because stuff, 104 00:06:06,880 --> 00:06:09,120 Speaker 1: you wonder how many of those will disappear once camps over. 105 00:06:09,480 --> 00:06:12,040 Speaker 1: But if you look at the list of coach, I mean, 106 00:06:12,080 --> 00:06:15,080 Speaker 1: there's a bunch of coaches, and you have multiple linebacker coaches, 107 00:06:15,160 --> 00:06:18,359 Speaker 1: multiple secondary coaches. I think you have a decree secondary 108 00:06:19,320 --> 00:06:23,000 Speaker 1: nickel coach you have. I'm waiting for the you know, 109 00:06:23,640 --> 00:06:25,719 Speaker 1: I'm waiting for the day where there's a tackle coach, 110 00:06:25,760 --> 00:06:31,000 Speaker 1: guard coach, center coaching. It just I mean, you know, 111 00:06:31,080 --> 00:06:33,320 Speaker 1: you get away with that at Alabama. You do that 112 00:06:33,360 --> 00:06:35,240 Speaker 1: at Alabama, do that to college because he does it. 113 00:06:35,320 --> 00:06:39,159 Speaker 1: You know, he starts the rules by making guys voluntary 114 00:06:39,200 --> 00:06:42,200 Speaker 1: coaches or whatever. But in the NFL, you gotta pay 115 00:06:42,240 --> 00:06:45,200 Speaker 1: those guys. Guys are getting paid. That's a big expense. 116 00:06:45,279 --> 00:06:48,760 Speaker 1: Kudos to Sean Kahn for doing it. I mean, urban's uh, 117 00:06:49,160 --> 00:06:52,080 Speaker 1: you know, I'm kidding around about the sort of about 118 00:06:52,080 --> 00:06:57,520 Speaker 1: the microphone. You're not for me, come on, you know 119 00:06:57,600 --> 00:06:59,520 Speaker 1: me better than that. Every time Beselli's not in his 120 00:06:59,640 --> 00:07:01,400 Speaker 1: chair in the jaire tone he was only got in 121 00:07:01,400 --> 00:07:05,080 Speaker 1: the jaire, But he does he is moving this team 122 00:07:05,360 --> 00:07:07,440 Speaker 1: in the right direction in a lot of ways, though, 123 00:07:07,640 --> 00:07:10,720 Speaker 1: I mean, get the if they get the practice facility, 124 00:07:10,760 --> 00:07:13,040 Speaker 1: that's something they needed for a long time. That there's 125 00:07:13,040 --> 00:07:15,040 Speaker 1: a lot of things moving in the right direction. So 126 00:07:15,360 --> 00:07:18,280 Speaker 1: kudos in for that. But you know me, I'm gonna 127 00:07:18,320 --> 00:07:20,720 Speaker 1: stick to the old school stuff. Well, you know, if 128 00:07:21,360 --> 00:07:26,600 Speaker 1: if and let's hope they are, if he's successful, you'll 129 00:07:26,640 --> 00:07:29,760 Speaker 1: know that more, more and more teams will go with everyone, 130 00:07:29,800 --> 00:07:32,640 Speaker 1: but Belichick will go with more and more coaches. You've 131 00:07:32,680 --> 00:07:35,720 Speaker 1: already seen it. I mean, I know other places, Pete, 132 00:07:35,760 --> 00:07:40,360 Speaker 1: maybe not to the extent here, but literally not like 133 00:07:41,280 --> 00:07:42,920 Speaker 1: they hire because I know the guy they hired. I'm 134 00:07:42,920 --> 00:07:44,360 Speaker 1: not going to mention the place, but they said they 135 00:07:44,400 --> 00:07:46,880 Speaker 1: hired the well not name names. Now, come on, it 136 00:07:47,040 --> 00:07:50,480 Speaker 1: was he was the Nickel coach. Like wait, like like 137 00:07:50,640 --> 00:07:55,040 Speaker 1: just Nickel, Yeah, coaches Nichols. I'm like, okay, I mean 138 00:07:55,080 --> 00:07:57,880 Speaker 1: I guess you know, well, that is a starting position. 139 00:07:58,280 --> 00:08:01,480 Speaker 1: Come on, it's it's a part of the say, once 140 00:08:01,560 --> 00:08:05,360 Speaker 1: upon a time, Pete, there was a secondary coach that 141 00:08:05,400 --> 00:08:08,120 Speaker 1: coach safeties and corners and nickel and everything else, and 142 00:08:08,120 --> 00:08:11,240 Speaker 1: then assistant secondary coach and now they got a safety's 143 00:08:11,280 --> 00:08:14,080 Speaker 1: coach and yeah, I mean it's it's and you have 144 00:08:14,160 --> 00:08:17,920 Speaker 1: inside linebacker coach outside, linebacker, coach assistant inside. And let's 145 00:08:17,960 --> 00:08:20,680 Speaker 1: be real, if he wins, it isn't going to be 146 00:08:20,680 --> 00:08:24,040 Speaker 1: because of the coaches he has, or the whole showing 147 00:08:24,240 --> 00:08:26,680 Speaker 1: or the new this. It's gonna because of his quarterback. 148 00:08:27,480 --> 00:08:29,440 Speaker 1: Before we get to the we'll spend plenty of time 149 00:08:29,480 --> 00:08:33,439 Speaker 1: on Trevor. But my point is this is a copycat league, 150 00:08:33,640 --> 00:08:36,760 Speaker 1: and if it's successful, you'll see more and more teams 151 00:08:36,800 --> 00:08:39,959 Speaker 1: do it again, everyone but Belichick. Belichick is the one 152 00:08:39,960 --> 00:08:42,240 Speaker 1: guy who's still coaching. Like when I coached, you have 153 00:08:42,280 --> 00:08:45,959 Speaker 1: one coach here, one coach there, your coordinator if you 154 00:08:45,960 --> 00:08:49,000 Speaker 1: even name a coordinator, coordinators, coach, coach in a position 155 00:08:49,040 --> 00:08:52,679 Speaker 1: possibly And this is this is different. This is this 156 00:08:52,720 --> 00:08:56,599 Speaker 1: is where the NFL is going. Let's get body a 157 00:08:56,640 --> 00:08:58,319 Speaker 1: lot of abouties out there in the middle of that 158 00:08:58,440 --> 00:09:03,040 Speaker 1: stretching a lot, right, Holy cow, it's chaotic. I get 159 00:09:03,080 --> 00:09:05,480 Speaker 1: nervous watching the stretching line because there's people run around 160 00:09:05,480 --> 00:09:08,199 Speaker 1: throwing football's high five in each other. I mean there 161 00:09:08,240 --> 00:09:12,840 Speaker 1: is a lot going on. It's like an assembly line. Yes, 162 00:09:13,120 --> 00:09:15,319 Speaker 1: I mean there's a coordination to that. See it great 163 00:09:15,360 --> 00:09:17,120 Speaker 1: to see you have a good practice up and back 164 00:09:17,160 --> 00:09:18,880 Speaker 1: and up and back. By the time you've done stretching, 165 00:09:19,480 --> 00:09:23,040 Speaker 1: two guys have talked to you. Yeah, that's right. Let's 166 00:09:23,200 --> 00:09:26,480 Speaker 1: review the weekend Urban Meyers first NFL training camp. They 167 00:09:26,480 --> 00:09:29,120 Speaker 1: had a scrimmage Saturday in the final open practice on 168 00:09:29,160 --> 00:09:31,920 Speaker 1: the Dream Finders Homes practice complex and then moved into 169 00:09:31,920 --> 00:09:34,400 Speaker 1: the stadium Sunday, took the pads off and did a 170 00:09:34,440 --> 00:09:37,840 Speaker 1: mock game, working on scenarios and situations in front of 171 00:09:37,840 --> 00:09:42,680 Speaker 1: over fifteen thousand inside the stadium Sunday morning. Trevor Lawrence. 172 00:09:42,760 --> 00:09:45,840 Speaker 1: We heard from the Jaguars quarterback after that practice. He 173 00:09:46,000 --> 00:09:49,160 Speaker 1: enjoyed being in the bank, but having the fans out 174 00:09:49,160 --> 00:09:52,560 Speaker 1: here is always awesome. Um, just really excited for this season, 175 00:09:52,640 --> 00:09:54,640 Speaker 1: and you tell there's just a lot of energy around here. 176 00:09:54,679 --> 00:09:56,680 Speaker 1: So we're we're pump. We've had a great camp and 177 00:09:56,720 --> 00:09:58,560 Speaker 1: it was fun to have a little scrimmage day in 178 00:09:58,559 --> 00:10:00,960 Speaker 1: front of some of the fans. Gonna hear from Trevor 179 00:10:01,080 --> 00:10:02,800 Speaker 1: and I'm not sure if we're gonna hear from him 180 00:10:02,840 --> 00:10:05,720 Speaker 1: before preseason week one. We'll get to the playing and 181 00:10:05,760 --> 00:10:07,800 Speaker 1: the all that coming up. But they were in the 182 00:10:07,840 --> 00:10:10,760 Speaker 1: stadium Tony on Sunday morning. Yeah, and you know a 183 00:10:10,800 --> 00:10:14,320 Speaker 1: little bit of backlash, probably the maybe the maybe the 184 00:10:14,400 --> 00:10:21,640 Speaker 1: first like negative fan reaction to Um, the Urban Meyer era, 185 00:10:22,120 --> 00:10:27,000 Speaker 1: you know, because it was positioned and communicated forever that 186 00:10:27,679 --> 00:10:30,200 Speaker 1: Saturday or Sunday was going to be a scrimmage for 187 00:10:30,280 --> 00:10:31,840 Speaker 1: all the fans that come see and when you think 188 00:10:31,880 --> 00:10:33,760 Speaker 1: of scrimmage, you think of pads and hitting and getting 189 00:10:33,800 --> 00:10:36,320 Speaker 1: after it and kind of your first and because historically 190 00:10:36,360 --> 00:10:39,360 Speaker 1: that's what's happened, there's been once. You know, whether it's 191 00:10:39,360 --> 00:10:42,520 Speaker 1: a Saturday night scrimmage or Sunday afternoon, whatever, it doesn't matter. 192 00:10:42,559 --> 00:10:45,320 Speaker 1: It's like a big dress rehearsal there in a big 193 00:10:45,360 --> 00:10:49,360 Speaker 1: moment and fans come out and last minute, at least 194 00:10:49,360 --> 00:10:51,400 Speaker 1: the way he's described to me is last minute. You know, 195 00:10:51,559 --> 00:10:53,480 Speaker 1: Urban decided to take the pads off and make it 196 00:10:53,520 --> 00:10:56,840 Speaker 1: more of a you know, it wasn't full speed, but 197 00:10:56,920 --> 00:10:59,839 Speaker 1: like go through and get some game situations. It was 198 00:10:59,880 --> 00:11:01,840 Speaker 1: a good to Chris practice, nothing wrong with it, but 199 00:11:02,040 --> 00:11:07,760 Speaker 1: much different Um than the fans were expecting. And any time, listen, 200 00:11:07,760 --> 00:11:10,679 Speaker 1: this is the entertainment business. Anytime you're in the business 201 00:11:10,679 --> 00:11:12,679 Speaker 1: like this and you set expectations and don't mean that 202 00:11:12,760 --> 00:11:14,960 Speaker 1: you're gonna hear about it. And boy, it was on 203 00:11:15,000 --> 00:11:17,760 Speaker 1: talk radio day. My I was my text was blowing 204 00:11:17,880 --> 00:11:22,000 Speaker 1: up from people and my point was, I get it. 205 00:11:22,080 --> 00:11:26,360 Speaker 1: I get the fans being disappointed because you again, the 206 00:11:26,440 --> 00:11:28,080 Speaker 1: question is why couldn't you do what you did on 207 00:11:28,120 --> 00:11:30,280 Speaker 1: Saturday on Sunday because that was a scrimage. That's what 208 00:11:30,320 --> 00:11:33,520 Speaker 1: we want to see. And you know you there's in 209 00:11:33,559 --> 00:11:36,920 Speaker 1: the frustration is fine, But at the end of the day, 210 00:11:37,679 --> 00:11:41,760 Speaker 1: Urban Meyer's job is to make sure his team is 211 00:11:41,800 --> 00:11:45,600 Speaker 1: ready for Saturday, this first preseason game, and even more importantly, 212 00:11:46,120 --> 00:11:48,679 Speaker 1: is ready for the opener when they fly to Houston 213 00:11:49,200 --> 00:11:51,840 Speaker 1: and be ready for that game. And so from what 214 00:11:51,920 --> 00:11:54,400 Speaker 1: I understand and what I heard is like, listen, you 215 00:11:54,440 --> 00:11:56,160 Speaker 1: had a couple of people nicked up a little bit 216 00:11:56,240 --> 00:11:59,840 Speaker 1: on Saturday. Urban with his coaching staff and probably the 217 00:11:59,840 --> 00:12:03,560 Speaker 1: medical staff and the strange staff, all got together and said, hey, 218 00:12:03,640 --> 00:12:06,760 Speaker 1: let's look at this and let's evaluate what what is 219 00:12:06,840 --> 00:12:11,520 Speaker 1: best for our team. Maybe hindsight, we could have done different, 220 00:12:11,520 --> 00:12:13,920 Speaker 1: but we're here now, this is where we are, so 221 00:12:14,000 --> 00:12:17,480 Speaker 1: let's make the right decision for the team. And that 222 00:12:17,520 --> 00:12:20,680 Speaker 1: decision was made. And he knows his team better than anybody. 223 00:12:20,960 --> 00:12:22,679 Speaker 1: You hire him as your head coach. You hire him 224 00:12:22,679 --> 00:12:25,120 Speaker 1: as the czar, the leader of this football organization. You 225 00:12:25,160 --> 00:12:28,000 Speaker 1: have to trust them, and he made he made the 226 00:12:28,040 --> 00:12:30,079 Speaker 1: decision what was best is to take the pads off, 227 00:12:30,120 --> 00:12:31,719 Speaker 1: give them, give them guys a little bit of a 228 00:12:31,800 --> 00:12:34,240 Speaker 1: break after a really physical day of the day before 229 00:12:34,720 --> 00:12:37,719 Speaker 1: and uh, especially going into the first preseason week. So 230 00:12:38,040 --> 00:12:40,720 Speaker 1: I get it. I'm actually I actually get both sides. 231 00:12:41,040 --> 00:12:45,240 Speaker 1: And at the end of the day, JP PTE, does 232 00:12:45,280 --> 00:12:48,040 Speaker 1: anyone care a week from now if they come out 233 00:12:48,440 --> 00:12:50,560 Speaker 1: and everyone sees Trevor Lawrence and they have a couple 234 00:12:50,559 --> 00:12:52,199 Speaker 1: of good series or they get out there and hit, 235 00:12:52,600 --> 00:12:55,600 Speaker 1: and does anyone care if they go into Houston after 236 00:12:55,600 --> 00:12:57,120 Speaker 1: they go in to Houston and get, you know, an 237 00:12:57,120 --> 00:13:02,160 Speaker 1: opening season win, No one's gonna care. I cared. I cared. 238 00:13:02,200 --> 00:13:04,000 Speaker 1: You don't want to care? Could I? I nestled in 239 00:13:04,080 --> 00:13:07,400 Speaker 1: to watch it yesterday on online and they cut it off. 240 00:13:07,440 --> 00:13:12,240 Speaker 1: There was nothing zero I wanted to watch. I get 241 00:13:12,280 --> 00:13:15,559 Speaker 1: to see it, but it didn't. Erman's job is to 242 00:13:15,600 --> 00:13:18,400 Speaker 1: what get his team ready. I get it. Tony and 243 00:13:18,440 --> 00:13:20,439 Speaker 1: I have no problem. If he thought they were too 244 00:13:20,440 --> 00:13:24,079 Speaker 1: physical on Saturday and I felt that he needed to 245 00:13:24,120 --> 00:13:26,679 Speaker 1: pull back on Sunday, I have I respect that. I 246 00:13:26,720 --> 00:13:30,400 Speaker 1: respect that decision. But why didn't you flop the days? Now, 247 00:13:30,440 --> 00:13:32,360 Speaker 1: this is a question that we don't know. If you're 248 00:13:32,400 --> 00:13:34,440 Speaker 1: gonna be physical, why didn't you be physical on Sunday? 249 00:13:34,440 --> 00:13:36,839 Speaker 1: Isn't too close to the game on Saturday this week? 250 00:13:37,280 --> 00:13:41,000 Speaker 1: You know what I mean? But but okay, And the 251 00:13:41,040 --> 00:13:43,000 Speaker 1: answer to that question is he should have flopped the 252 00:13:43,080 --> 00:13:45,600 Speaker 1: days and taken care of the fans. You know what 253 00:13:45,600 --> 00:13:48,840 Speaker 1: it says though, it shows who's in charge across the board, 254 00:13:49,280 --> 00:13:51,720 Speaker 1: because if you're a marketing guy on that team you're 255 00:13:51,720 --> 00:13:55,360 Speaker 1: not happy with what happened yesterday, you can't be. I 256 00:13:55,400 --> 00:13:57,720 Speaker 1: had people griping at me on Twitter. They were mumbling 257 00:13:57,760 --> 00:13:59,800 Speaker 1: and growing in him and people out of town. They 258 00:13:59,800 --> 00:14:01,679 Speaker 1: said they were gonna are not in table, but they 259 00:14:01,679 --> 00:14:03,640 Speaker 1: were like in St. Augustine or whatever. They said they 260 00:14:03,640 --> 00:14:05,920 Speaker 1: were gonna come. And then decided no, I'll watch it 261 00:14:05,960 --> 00:14:10,079 Speaker 1: on online and then you watch you know, Brian Sexton 262 00:14:10,160 --> 00:14:12,599 Speaker 1: and Bucky Brooks talk for an hour and then it 263 00:14:12,640 --> 00:14:16,000 Speaker 1: went away. I wanted to watch football listen. I was 264 00:14:16,080 --> 00:14:17,840 Speaker 1: it was we're on the We're on the air for 265 00:14:17,920 --> 00:14:21,720 Speaker 1: two hours, try talk to do a walk through peat 266 00:14:21,760 --> 00:14:25,680 Speaker 1: for two hours. I mean, it was just and here's 267 00:14:25,760 --> 00:14:28,400 Speaker 1: here's my one big problem with it. This is a 268 00:14:28,440 --> 00:14:33,240 Speaker 1: team trying to grant the fan base again, pull him in, 269 00:14:33,800 --> 00:14:36,280 Speaker 1: grant them, pull him in. And I know winning ultimately 270 00:14:36,320 --> 00:14:38,880 Speaker 1: does that, but I hear the ticket sales are good, 271 00:14:39,120 --> 00:14:41,480 Speaker 1: really good, but they're not where they're they should be 272 00:14:42,000 --> 00:14:44,520 Speaker 1: based on everything that's happened in the off season. So 273 00:14:44,680 --> 00:14:47,280 Speaker 1: why not use it as an opportunity. Not only that, 274 00:14:47,400 --> 00:14:52,120 Speaker 1: here's the other part of that. The scrimmage was free, correct, Okay, 275 00:14:52,160 --> 00:14:55,800 Speaker 1: people who can't afford to go two games during the season. 276 00:14:56,080 --> 00:14:59,400 Speaker 1: That's how you bring new fans in. You know. It's 277 00:14:59,440 --> 00:15:01,360 Speaker 1: just like, and I'm gonna give an example from just 278 00:15:01,360 --> 00:15:04,640 Speaker 1: traveling around the league. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are only 279 00:15:04,680 --> 00:15:09,080 Speaker 1: allowing season ticket holders to come to their training camp practices. 280 00:15:09,720 --> 00:15:14,720 Speaker 1: That's bad. That's really bad. You know, five three years ago, 281 00:15:14,760 --> 00:15:16,680 Speaker 1: they were begging people to come to their practices and 282 00:15:16,760 --> 00:15:18,800 Speaker 1: come to their games. Now, all of a sudden, you're 283 00:15:18,800 --> 00:15:20,880 Speaker 1: cutting off people who can't afford to go to games. 284 00:15:21,000 --> 00:15:23,240 Speaker 1: There's a lot of people who can't afford NFL tickets. 285 00:15:23,520 --> 00:15:26,080 Speaker 1: They just can't, and the kids want to go see 286 00:15:26,120 --> 00:15:29,680 Speaker 1: this stuff. So there's where my pushback is on it yesterday. 287 00:15:29,880 --> 00:15:32,680 Speaker 1: I just think that you know, you you grow your product, 288 00:15:32,720 --> 00:15:34,640 Speaker 1: you tell them it's this and then it's not that, 289 00:15:35,000 --> 00:15:37,080 Speaker 1: or you put it online and you know what, are 290 00:15:37,120 --> 00:15:40,480 Speaker 1: you scare to show it plays? Yeah? I think that's 291 00:15:40,480 --> 00:15:43,160 Speaker 1: the thing. Yeah, they don't want you know, it's a 292 00:15:43,200 --> 00:15:47,160 Speaker 1: new staff with new offensive defensive coach. I'm just telling 293 00:15:47,200 --> 00:15:49,400 Speaker 1: you the mindset you have your mindset, I'm giving the 294 00:15:49,440 --> 00:15:52,760 Speaker 1: mindset that this is where that's ridiculous, just telling you, Okay, 295 00:15:52,760 --> 00:15:54,480 Speaker 1: I'm just gonna tell you why. I think that's ridiculous 296 00:15:54,680 --> 00:15:58,360 Speaker 1: Because Joe Cohen is defensive care right. Yes, anyone who 297 00:15:58,360 --> 00:16:03,160 Speaker 1: watches Baltimore's film over the last several years has a 298 00:16:03,200 --> 00:16:06,400 Speaker 1: pretty good idea what Joe Colan is going to do, 299 00:16:07,600 --> 00:16:12,200 Speaker 1: not exactly, but guess what, By week one, the Texans 300 00:16:12,280 --> 00:16:15,520 Speaker 1: will have a really good idea because of three preseason games, 301 00:16:15,600 --> 00:16:18,320 Speaker 1: and guess what, after a Week one, every other team 302 00:16:18,720 --> 00:16:20,880 Speaker 1: for the rest of the year will know what they're doing. 303 00:16:21,120 --> 00:16:24,400 Speaker 1: Darryl Bevil was he an offensive coordinator last year and 304 00:16:24,600 --> 00:16:27,240 Speaker 1: for a long time. My guess is they're gonna have 305 00:16:27,280 --> 00:16:30,640 Speaker 1: an idea what devil Darryl Bevil likes to do. It 306 00:16:30,720 --> 00:16:36,520 Speaker 1: might not be exactem Schottenheimer two, but yeah, okay, two 307 00:16:37,120 --> 00:16:39,600 Speaker 1: all together all together, and so you have an idea 308 00:16:39,640 --> 00:16:42,160 Speaker 1: of what they're gonna do. I don't buy. I have 309 00:16:42,280 --> 00:16:44,960 Speaker 1: never bought. Now you get into the playoffs and you 310 00:16:45,000 --> 00:16:47,160 Speaker 1: want to close your practices and everything else. I get that. 311 00:16:47,320 --> 00:16:54,040 Speaker 1: I agree that. I've never I've never bought in at 312 00:16:54,080 --> 00:16:56,200 Speaker 1: this time of the year of closing things off because 313 00:16:56,240 --> 00:16:59,480 Speaker 1: you're afraid of what someone's gonna learn. Like what the 314 00:16:59,760 --> 00:17:02,560 Speaker 1: other thing too, Tony. If I'm if I'm David Culley 315 00:17:02,600 --> 00:17:05,320 Speaker 1: and coaching the Texans and I got a cousin that 316 00:17:05,440 --> 00:17:08,320 Speaker 1: lives in South Carolina, I'm gonna have him drive on 317 00:17:08,440 --> 00:17:11,320 Speaker 1: down the Jacksonville and the stands and watch the practice 318 00:17:11,320 --> 00:17:13,560 Speaker 1: and tell me what they're doing. Nobody's gonna know who 319 00:17:13,600 --> 00:17:17,719 Speaker 1: he is. Well, and if you really wanted to do that, well, 320 00:17:17,760 --> 00:17:19,480 Speaker 1: another part I do agree with you, and I hate 321 00:17:19,480 --> 00:17:22,760 Speaker 1: agreeing with you, if you know is and take the 322 00:17:22,840 --> 00:17:25,600 Speaker 1: Jaguars out of this, because they have opened the practices 323 00:17:25,640 --> 00:17:28,120 Speaker 1: and yesterday was free for everybody, and maybe they didn't 324 00:17:28,119 --> 00:17:30,320 Speaker 1: get what they expected, but anyone could come. I do 325 00:17:30,440 --> 00:17:34,240 Speaker 1: have a problem with organizations like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. 326 00:17:34,359 --> 00:17:37,080 Speaker 1: I get that you want to make certain practices just 327 00:17:37,200 --> 00:17:39,040 Speaker 1: for season ticket holders. We did that here, and we 328 00:17:39,040 --> 00:17:40,880 Speaker 1: did that. I'm good with that because you're seeing telling 329 00:17:40,920 --> 00:17:43,480 Speaker 1: you should get some privileges. But at some point there 330 00:17:43,480 --> 00:17:45,919 Speaker 1: should be a number of practices open for the general 331 00:17:45,960 --> 00:17:48,560 Speaker 1: public so that the kids who can't afford to go, 332 00:17:48,800 --> 00:17:51,200 Speaker 1: who loved this team and love football. Because I remember 333 00:17:51,200 --> 00:17:53,840 Speaker 1: as a kid, one of my favorite things was to 334 00:17:53,880 --> 00:17:57,080 Speaker 1: do every year to drive from Bowlder, Colorado, down to Greeley, 335 00:17:57,160 --> 00:18:00,240 Speaker 1: Colorado to watch the Denver Broncos. And not then I 336 00:18:00,280 --> 00:18:02,119 Speaker 1: knew anything that was going on, but I wanted to 337 00:18:02,200 --> 00:18:05,479 Speaker 1: see my team and walk up next to him and 338 00:18:05,560 --> 00:18:08,280 Speaker 1: be around him, and guess what, I fell in love 339 00:18:08,280 --> 00:18:10,440 Speaker 1: with the game of football. I think that is critical. 340 00:18:10,480 --> 00:18:12,919 Speaker 1: That's how you build fans and good. It's good for 341 00:18:12,960 --> 00:18:16,120 Speaker 1: the NFL. Forget about any one organization. It is good 342 00:18:16,160 --> 00:18:20,800 Speaker 1: for the NFL, especially in a time when there's so 343 00:18:20,880 --> 00:18:24,040 Speaker 1: much negative about concussions and blah blah blah and this 344 00:18:24,119 --> 00:18:26,840 Speaker 1: and that and everything else. You want to expose people 345 00:18:26,880 --> 00:18:29,160 Speaker 1: to and get them excited. This is a great game, 346 00:18:29,200 --> 00:18:34,240 Speaker 1: and so especially Ville right now, it's more well, I 347 00:18:34,600 --> 00:18:36,639 Speaker 1: I mean people. I think that's anywhere. I don't care 348 00:18:36,640 --> 00:18:38,720 Speaker 1: where you are. All right, guys, let's take our first 349 00:18:38,720 --> 00:18:42,000 Speaker 1: time out. Trevor 428 00:23:34,600 --> 00:23:38,159 Speaker 1: Lawrence is the quarterback. J P. Shadrick, Tony Boselli, Pete Presco, 429 00:23:38,240 --> 00:23:40,879 Speaker 1: glad you're along with us your social questions in the 430 00:23:41,119 --> 00:23:44,720 Speaker 1: second hour tonight and up plenty ahead in the program. 431 00:23:44,760 --> 00:23:48,960 Speaker 1: Here Trevor Lawrence is now at quarterback for the Jaguars. 432 00:23:49,000 --> 00:23:52,200 Speaker 1: Now he hasn't been handed the job, Pete, He's still 433 00:23:52,240 --> 00:23:55,959 Speaker 1: gotta earn it, okay, like that, Let training camp go by. 434 00:23:56,160 --> 00:23:59,000 Speaker 1: Don't anoint him yet, Pete. He's got a fight off 435 00:23:59,040 --> 00:24:03,240 Speaker 1: Gardner and a third and Luton. Why the hell isn't 436 00:24:03,240 --> 00:24:05,520 Speaker 1: he getting more reps with the ones? I can't figure 437 00:24:05,560 --> 00:24:09,399 Speaker 1: that one out. That makes no sense to me, zero none. 438 00:24:10,200 --> 00:24:14,119 Speaker 1: I mean, there's no Let's cut the charade. Gardner Minshew 439 00:24:14,160 --> 00:24:16,680 Speaker 1: isn't beating out anybody. I mean, why why would you 440 00:24:16,720 --> 00:24:19,800 Speaker 1: even play play that game? It makes no sense. Give 441 00:24:19,840 --> 00:24:21,600 Speaker 1: him all the reps you can with the ones, get 442 00:24:21,640 --> 00:24:25,080 Speaker 1: him used to playing with those guys. If I'm not mistaken, 443 00:24:25,520 --> 00:24:27,680 Speaker 1: he ran with the second teams to start to scrimage. 444 00:24:27,720 --> 00:24:32,240 Speaker 1: Yet back and forth. Though they've been doing a lot 445 00:24:32,280 --> 00:24:37,000 Speaker 1: of camp, they've been kind of reps. It's an open competition. 446 00:24:37,080 --> 00:24:40,199 Speaker 1: It's an open competition. Every every position is a competition. 447 00:24:41,960 --> 00:24:45,600 Speaker 1: That's like saying a seven year old and art classes 448 00:24:45,800 --> 00:24:50,040 Speaker 1: competing with Picasso, you get what if the kids a genius? 449 00:24:50,280 --> 00:24:52,120 Speaker 1: You never know unless you give him a shot. JP 450 00:24:52,320 --> 00:24:55,679 Speaker 1: to say every camp is open competition. They're not rolling. 451 00:24:55,920 --> 00:24:59,000 Speaker 1: First of all, I haven't seen maybe I've missed. I 452 00:24:58,960 --> 00:25:01,200 Speaker 1: haven't been in every practice, but I've watched. I haven't 453 00:25:01,200 --> 00:25:06,160 Speaker 1: seen Walker Little sharing reps at the ones with Cam Robinson. Correct, 454 00:25:06,480 --> 00:25:10,840 Speaker 1: I haven't you know seen um, I've seen it at 455 00:25:10,880 --> 00:25:15,280 Speaker 1: right tackle with the starters. I think maybe not. No, 456 00:25:15,359 --> 00:25:18,280 Speaker 1: he's been getting reps at right You're right, I haven't 457 00:25:18,320 --> 00:25:20,199 Speaker 1: you know, I haven't seen you know, I got you know, 458 00:25:20,320 --> 00:25:26,800 Speaker 1: Shally running with the ones, like saying jps al Michaels. Well, 459 00:25:28,960 --> 00:25:35,120 Speaker 1: that's competition, I'm saying. I mean, I'm not saying I'm 460 00:25:35,119 --> 00:25:37,640 Speaker 1: not seeing Shaquille Griffin share time at corner. I mean 461 00:25:37,880 --> 00:25:41,399 Speaker 1: he's the corner now, he's starting corner right now. To 462 00:25:41,440 --> 00:25:45,919 Speaker 1: think about it, little has had some first team stuff. 463 00:25:47,280 --> 00:25:50,240 Speaker 1: I haven't seen it. Okay, you've been My point is, 464 00:25:50,800 --> 00:25:53,680 Speaker 1: I mean, is there any scenario in this world if 465 00:25:53,840 --> 00:25:57,359 Speaker 1: both guys are healthy, Like, any scenario you can think 466 00:25:57,400 --> 00:26:01,159 Speaker 1: of that Trevor Lawrence is not walking out there with 467 00:26:01,240 --> 00:26:04,639 Speaker 1: the first offense when we play in Houston, Texas? Is 468 00:26:04,680 --> 00:26:06,959 Speaker 1: there like like I I would think about the other 469 00:26:07,000 --> 00:26:09,280 Speaker 1: day because I actually agree with Pete if it was 470 00:26:09,359 --> 00:26:13,000 Speaker 1: me and again, Urbans won national titles. I have not. 471 00:26:13,480 --> 00:26:16,480 Speaker 1: So maybe there's a did they go to the Sun 472 00:26:16,520 --> 00:26:19,320 Speaker 1: Bowl one year? Yeah that was not national title? And 473 00:26:19,359 --> 00:26:22,199 Speaker 1: maybe there's a method that he like, that he is 474 00:26:22,359 --> 00:26:24,960 Speaker 1: believes in and has had success in this type of situation. 475 00:26:25,600 --> 00:26:28,119 Speaker 1: I just can't think of any scenario in the for 476 00:26:28,200 --> 00:26:30,399 Speaker 1: the life of me where Trevor Lawrence is not your 477 00:26:30,400 --> 00:26:34,120 Speaker 1: starting quarterback. And if that's the case, the dude needs 478 00:26:34,160 --> 00:26:36,879 Speaker 1: reps as many reps as he can get with the 479 00:26:36,880 --> 00:26:39,320 Speaker 1: guys that are gonna be on the field with him, 480 00:26:39,400 --> 00:26:44,040 Speaker 1: and it's but Tony. This isn't Andy Dalton and Justin Fields. 481 00:26:44,720 --> 00:26:47,800 Speaker 1: You have a veteran who's capable, and you have a 482 00:26:47,880 --> 00:26:50,000 Speaker 1: kid who's trying to take the job. This is the 483 00:26:50,119 --> 00:26:52,560 Speaker 1: number one overall pick and a guy who proved last 484 00:26:52,600 --> 00:26:59,120 Speaker 1: year he can't play even beat debates. Uh, Pete, I'm not. 485 00:26:59,600 --> 00:27:03,000 Speaker 1: I mean the only I don't they agree with us? 486 00:27:03,200 --> 00:27:07,040 Speaker 1: I will say this my uh, I don't know. I'm 487 00:27:07,119 --> 00:27:13,080 Speaker 1: sure they agreed, but they mean there's just they don't well, 488 00:27:13,080 --> 00:27:16,800 Speaker 1: Pete saying is different though, JP, I'm sure true, Sir, 489 00:27:16,960 --> 00:27:20,520 Speaker 1: Sir um to Urban Urban took the job. One of 490 00:27:20,560 --> 00:27:23,520 Speaker 1: the major reasons number one over quick. The point is, 491 00:27:23,520 --> 00:27:25,120 Speaker 1: if that's the case, then why aren't you getting him 492 00:27:25,119 --> 00:27:27,720 Speaker 1: as many rips are the ones as possible question? That's 493 00:27:27,800 --> 00:27:31,159 Speaker 1: that's my only contention. I know it doesn't matter. The 494 00:27:31,160 --> 00:27:34,119 Speaker 1: rest of it is just like dumb talk radio stuff 495 00:27:34,160 --> 00:27:39,480 Speaker 1: that who cares. The real question is is if that's 496 00:27:39,520 --> 00:27:41,560 Speaker 1: the case and he is your starter, then give him 497 00:27:41,560 --> 00:27:43,560 Speaker 1: as many reps as possible with the starters. That's my 498 00:27:43,600 --> 00:27:47,879 Speaker 1: only point. It makes me those are going to be 499 00:27:48,000 --> 00:27:50,560 Speaker 1: your guys during the season. They're not gonna be Gardner 500 00:27:50,560 --> 00:27:53,480 Speaker 1: Minshew's guys. There his guys. Now, you can give Minshew 501 00:27:53,480 --> 00:27:55,480 Speaker 1: a few reps with the ones just in case something 502 00:27:55,520 --> 00:27:58,639 Speaker 1: happens the large and he's grey with them, But you 503 00:27:58,680 --> 00:28:01,720 Speaker 1: don't give him lit. You don't split them in and out. 504 00:28:01,760 --> 00:28:04,320 Speaker 1: That's just stupidity. I don't I don't get it. I 505 00:28:04,359 --> 00:28:07,560 Speaker 1: just don't understand. And maybe Urban knows something that I 506 00:28:07,640 --> 00:28:10,479 Speaker 1: don't know, which is more football than I do in 507 00:28:10,520 --> 00:28:12,720 Speaker 1: my life, will ever know in my lifetime. But this 508 00:28:12,800 --> 00:28:14,760 Speaker 1: is a bad decision. And you know there's over a 509 00:28:14,800 --> 00:28:20,080 Speaker 1: month to the regular season, though every rep counts. And 510 00:28:20,119 --> 00:28:23,280 Speaker 1: I promise you if you asked if any of those coaches, 511 00:28:23,480 --> 00:28:25,520 Speaker 1: do you believe reps matter? Do you mean do you 512 00:28:25,560 --> 00:28:28,919 Speaker 1: think reps in August matter for September? And I guarantee 513 00:28:28,960 --> 00:28:32,959 Speaker 1: you the answers yes. And so I just don't understand it. 514 00:28:33,080 --> 00:28:35,920 Speaker 1: I mean, but it does make me laugh, Pete, because 515 00:28:35,960 --> 00:28:40,120 Speaker 1: I remember when I got drafted by the Jacks, and 516 00:28:40,160 --> 00:28:42,440 Speaker 1: I don't even remember this. During O T A S 517 00:28:42,680 --> 00:28:48,040 Speaker 1: I ran with the threes because quote unquote, this is 518 00:28:48,040 --> 00:28:52,600 Speaker 1: no I wanted to make sure, I urge that's what 519 00:28:52,640 --> 00:28:56,120 Speaker 1: they're that's what they're saying, when you went to training camp, 520 00:28:56,160 --> 00:28:58,160 Speaker 1: where were you? I was with the starters. You gotta 521 00:28:58,200 --> 00:28:59,920 Speaker 1: own it, you gotta earn it. And here's the thing, 522 00:29:00,280 --> 00:29:03,480 Speaker 1: Tony knows this. As an offensive lineman, you gotta work 523 00:29:03,520 --> 00:29:07,200 Speaker 1: together as you gotta get the reps. And as a 524 00:29:07,320 --> 00:29:09,840 Speaker 1: quarterback you need to get the reps with those guys 525 00:29:09,960 --> 00:29:12,920 Speaker 1: in front of you, not just the receivers. I don't. 526 00:29:13,000 --> 00:29:17,400 Speaker 1: I just the strain's over ended. Get it over with well, 527 00:29:17,440 --> 00:29:19,240 Speaker 1: and it goes to the point. And because here, I 528 00:29:19,280 --> 00:29:23,440 Speaker 1: mean again, nothing against Gardner Minshew. He's he's worked extremely 529 00:29:23,480 --> 00:29:26,480 Speaker 1: hard this offseason, He's had a good camp and he 530 00:29:26,600 --> 00:29:29,360 Speaker 1: is clearly the best backup. It's not in my opinion 531 00:29:29,440 --> 00:29:34,480 Speaker 1: watching um and so congratulations kudos to him for, you know, 532 00:29:34,520 --> 00:29:41,080 Speaker 1: putting the time in. But anyone who watches the two 533 00:29:41,120 --> 00:29:44,120 Speaker 1: of them on the field, it's not. I mean, Trevor 534 00:29:44,200 --> 00:29:48,600 Speaker 1: Lawrence is just it's a different dude. The guy has 535 00:29:49,040 --> 00:29:52,680 Speaker 1: superior talent that no matter how hard Gardners meants you 536 00:29:52,760 --> 00:29:54,960 Speaker 1: ever work. I mean, there's certain things that Trevor Lawrence 537 00:29:54,960 --> 00:29:56,880 Speaker 1: can just do with the football that Gardner ritch you 538 00:29:56,960 --> 00:29:59,320 Speaker 1: can't do. He'll pull him out about three or four 539 00:29:59,360 --> 00:30:02,040 Speaker 1: times five times of practice. Trevor will make a throw. 540 00:30:02,120 --> 00:30:11,360 Speaker 1: You're like, Okay, that's different, and he teach it and 541 00:30:11,400 --> 00:30:16,480 Speaker 1: you watch the little things, his footwork, his timing, his accuracy, 542 00:30:16,640 --> 00:30:20,200 Speaker 1: I mean he is. His athletic ability. The other thing 543 00:30:20,280 --> 00:30:22,720 Speaker 1: that I've been impressed with. How many times during training 544 00:30:22,760 --> 00:30:27,160 Speaker 1: camp have you seen something where um, there's a mechanical 545 00:30:27,200 --> 00:30:30,160 Speaker 1: issue in the huddle at the line of scrimmage, him 546 00:30:30,200 --> 00:30:33,440 Speaker 1: looking confused, him not being in charge. It doesn't happen 547 00:30:33,840 --> 00:30:37,200 Speaker 1: now the next the next test is when the live 548 00:30:37,280 --> 00:30:40,320 Speaker 1: rush comes against the Browns. How does he do in 549 00:30:40,360 --> 00:30:43,960 Speaker 1: the pocket? Everything looks so far that he can't get hit. 550 00:30:44,440 --> 00:30:46,840 Speaker 1: He is very comfortable. He moves around. In college, he 551 00:30:46,960 --> 00:30:50,600 Speaker 1: was very comfortable. I mean, the guy is look special. 552 00:30:50,920 --> 00:30:52,600 Speaker 1: He's gonna go do it, and there will be a 553 00:30:52,720 --> 00:30:55,360 Speaker 1: learning curve, and yes he'll have bad games, and yes 554 00:30:55,400 --> 00:30:57,520 Speaker 1: he will throw it to the wrong colored jersey because 555 00:30:57,560 --> 00:31:01,360 Speaker 1: that's what young quarterbacks do. But for everything I've seen 556 00:31:01,360 --> 00:31:05,520 Speaker 1: Pete Early, he's special. Oh man, he's specials for the 557 00:31:05,560 --> 00:31:08,160 Speaker 1: next decade. Don't worry about the quarterback position. Just do 558 00:31:08,160 --> 00:31:09,960 Speaker 1: I worry about it. And by the way, kudos to 559 00:31:10,000 --> 00:31:12,400 Speaker 1: the Garden mitshow to fight through and become the best 560 00:31:13,320 --> 00:31:15,800 Speaker 1: backup quarterback on the team because I didn't I didn't think. 561 00:31:15,840 --> 00:31:17,200 Speaker 1: I didn't know if he'd be on the roster. We 562 00:31:17,200 --> 00:31:19,480 Speaker 1: talked about that last year. And here's the other thing. 563 00:31:19,760 --> 00:31:22,240 Speaker 1: If he is the backup quarterback, it wasted a lot 564 00:31:22,240 --> 00:31:25,200 Speaker 1: of money on C. J. Beetham. Yeah, get a lot 565 00:31:25,200 --> 00:31:28,040 Speaker 1: of guaranteed money in that deal. Let's come back plenty ahead. 566 00:31:28,040 --> 00:31:29,880 Speaker 1: We'll have plenty more on the quarterback position in the 567 00:31:29,920 --> 00:31:32,960 Speaker 1: second hour of Jaguars Happy Hour. Shadrick, Tony Vaselli, Pete Prisco, Glad you're along 646 00:36:19,640 --> 00:36:22,719 Speaker 1: with us today. He was discussing Caleb on Chase on 647 00:36:22,880 --> 00:36:26,440 Speaker 1: That was on Friday after practice, kind of you know, hey, 648 00:36:26,600 --> 00:36:28,960 Speaker 1: challenging him a good bit there with that sound bite, 649 00:36:28,960 --> 00:36:32,200 Speaker 1: and then Saturday, Tony Jason came out I think had 650 00:36:32,239 --> 00:36:35,040 Speaker 1: his best practice of camp so far. Sack was all 651 00:36:35,040 --> 00:36:37,719 Speaker 1: over the ball pass defense at the line of scrimmage. 652 00:36:38,200 --> 00:36:39,880 Speaker 1: I don't know if he heard the sound bite, but 653 00:36:40,000 --> 00:36:41,640 Speaker 1: it was good to see him really step up and 654 00:36:41,719 --> 00:36:43,880 Speaker 1: step out. Yeah. I mean, I think the system that 655 00:36:44,000 --> 00:36:48,800 Speaker 1: Joe's putting in will help feature Cablon Chason's ability. Calebon 656 00:36:49,000 --> 00:36:54,760 Speaker 1: Caleb on what I say, ca Valan, it's calev Caleb 657 00:36:55,080 --> 00:37:10,680 Speaker 1: Caleb exa. Um, Uh, it's a better it's a better 658 00:37:11,120 --> 00:37:14,680 Speaker 1: um system because it'll put him in space more. I 659 00:37:14,760 --> 00:37:17,279 Speaker 1: think he got swallowed up last year and he didn't 660 00:37:17,320 --> 00:37:19,920 Speaker 1: do a great job with the transition from college to 661 00:37:20,040 --> 00:37:21,800 Speaker 1: having his hand in the ground every play as a 662 00:37:21,840 --> 00:37:24,000 Speaker 1: defensive end for the Jaguars. And I think in there's 663 00:37:24,040 --> 00:37:26,320 Speaker 1: three four he's in space. He can move around a 664 00:37:26,400 --> 00:37:29,479 Speaker 1: little bit, get matched up with back sometimes, get matched 665 00:37:29,560 --> 00:37:31,080 Speaker 1: up with the tight end every once in a while, 666 00:37:31,560 --> 00:37:34,040 Speaker 1: and rushed from a space position against the tackle is 667 00:37:34,080 --> 00:37:35,640 Speaker 1: gonna help him out quite a bit. Because he is 668 00:37:35,640 --> 00:37:38,680 Speaker 1: an athlete, he has God give abilities. As Joe Colin 669 00:37:38,760 --> 00:37:43,160 Speaker 1: had had mentioned, Um, what I did see Saturday's practice, 670 00:37:43,200 --> 00:37:45,960 Speaker 1: I wasn't here. Um what I've seen in practice, what 671 00:37:46,000 --> 00:37:50,560 Speaker 1: I've seen on tape, Um, he is better, but still 672 00:37:51,760 --> 00:37:54,560 Speaker 1: he gets overwhelmed a little bit. Um he does. You know, 673 00:37:54,680 --> 00:37:57,320 Speaker 1: he's a guy. He has to use that speed and 674 00:37:57,440 --> 00:38:00,640 Speaker 1: get get the get the tackles hands awfu him if 675 00:38:00,680 --> 00:38:02,839 Speaker 1: he gets engaged. He's just not a big enough man 676 00:38:03,560 --> 00:38:06,480 Speaker 1: to overcome it. So I think what Joe said is 677 00:38:06,520 --> 00:38:09,520 Speaker 1: after right, it's a work in progress, and uh, he's 678 00:38:09,560 --> 00:38:12,200 Speaker 1: got to get better. They need production at him this year. 679 00:38:12,520 --> 00:38:14,960 Speaker 1: They need production out of Josh Allen as well. Um, 680 00:38:16,080 --> 00:38:19,440 Speaker 1: you know watching him in camp. Nothing, it's not like 681 00:38:19,520 --> 00:38:21,839 Speaker 1: there's been a bunch of big flashes. I haven't seen 682 00:38:21,880 --> 00:38:25,480 Speaker 1: at least um not early Saturday was really the one 683 00:38:25,800 --> 00:38:28,960 Speaker 1: for him. I'm talking about yea, Yeah, he looks in 684 00:38:29,000 --> 00:38:30,759 Speaker 1: great shape. Oh, he looks in great shape. Did how 685 00:38:30,800 --> 00:38:36,080 Speaker 1: did I didn't see Saturday? No on Saturday? And I 686 00:38:36,120 --> 00:38:39,320 Speaker 1: mean nothing really nothing that you say, nothing out of 687 00:38:39,320 --> 00:38:43,480 Speaker 1: the ordinary. But he's really good. So that's great. How 688 00:38:43,520 --> 00:38:49,920 Speaker 1: many sacks for jan Well this year, because that's his 689 00:38:50,040 --> 00:38:54,279 Speaker 1: name from now on. How many sacks for caval On 690 00:38:54,360 --> 00:38:59,759 Speaker 1: this year? Tony? Um, No, I'd taste six or seven. 691 00:39:00,400 --> 00:39:03,640 Speaker 1: So if they can get double digits out of Alan, 692 00:39:04,040 --> 00:39:05,880 Speaker 1: which they should. If you're picked where you're picked, you 693 00:39:05,880 --> 00:39:09,400 Speaker 1: should get that. That guy should get double digits five 694 00:39:09,480 --> 00:39:15,680 Speaker 1: for five or six for Cabalan. Um, it's Calevan Calebon, 695 00:39:16,680 --> 00:39:20,719 Speaker 1: I know what it is, Calevan? You alright? Five or 696 00:39:20,760 --> 00:39:24,560 Speaker 1: six for Calebon? How many where else did they get 697 00:39:24,600 --> 00:39:27,880 Speaker 1: that gets? You gotta get the forty to have a 698 00:39:27,920 --> 00:39:31,160 Speaker 1: good pass, right, So are you gonna get interior? Roy Robertson, 699 00:39:31,160 --> 00:39:33,759 Speaker 1: Harris Robertson, Harris, I think we'll give some production to you. 700 00:39:34,400 --> 00:39:37,359 Speaker 1: How many three or four? I think he has five 701 00:39:37,440 --> 00:39:39,680 Speaker 1: or six? I think Smoots another guy who's gonna I 702 00:39:39,760 --> 00:39:43,279 Speaker 1: think you'll see um, you know, six to eight. I 703 00:39:43,320 --> 00:39:48,080 Speaker 1: think John six plus to four or five one six, 704 00:39:48,160 --> 00:39:51,080 Speaker 1: stay twenty eight Miles. Jack will get a couple of 705 00:39:51,160 --> 00:39:54,160 Speaker 1: Blitzer baby five or six, right, and don't forget about 706 00:39:55,239 --> 00:39:58,920 Speaker 1: god Ward is another guy who's you know, he's a 707 00:39:59,200 --> 00:40:02,719 Speaker 1: you know, middle you know, middle single digit guy. What 708 00:40:02,800 --> 00:40:04,759 Speaker 1: I'm trying to point out is to get the thirty five, 709 00:40:05,080 --> 00:40:07,160 Speaker 1: Chason has to be better and what you think he's 710 00:40:07,200 --> 00:40:09,279 Speaker 1: gonna get, and Alan has to be better than what 711 00:40:09,360 --> 00:40:11,200 Speaker 1: I think he's gonna get. What did you say you 712 00:40:11,280 --> 00:40:16,239 Speaker 1: think all get ten? Yeah? Hey, why didn't we're looking 713 00:40:16,239 --> 00:40:17,919 Speaker 1: at smooth on the gap? Why do you change his number? 714 00:40:17,960 --> 00:40:20,839 Speaker 1: Wasn't he ninety four before he was? And ninety one 715 00:40:21,000 --> 00:40:24,200 Speaker 1: was open and when in Gockway was no longer around. 716 00:40:24,280 --> 00:40:26,759 Speaker 1: Then he decided to finally change it was it was 717 00:40:26,960 --> 00:40:33,560 Speaker 1: his number. Okay, that was curious. Um yeah, so um 718 00:40:33,880 --> 00:40:36,840 Speaker 1: switching gears. Yeah. Well, the way, we're sticking on defense 719 00:40:36,920 --> 00:40:39,399 Speaker 1: here and C. J. Henderson has been in the news 720 00:40:39,480 --> 00:40:42,000 Speaker 1: this week. Trade rumors are out there, some reports have 721 00:40:42,080 --> 00:40:44,239 Speaker 1: been out even this afternoon. The Times picking unit in 722 00:40:44,280 --> 00:40:47,920 Speaker 1: New Orleans said that the Saints are looking at the 723 00:40:48,200 --> 00:40:51,680 Speaker 1: corners and including C. J. Henderson. That has been a 724 00:40:51,760 --> 00:40:54,960 Speaker 1: hot topic today Tony. Well, yeah, I mean if you 725 00:40:55,040 --> 00:40:58,480 Speaker 1: look at from the beginning, you know, if C. J. 726 00:40:58,600 --> 00:41:00,480 Speaker 1: Henderson be in the first round pick last year, he 727 00:41:00,719 --> 00:41:03,200 Speaker 1: you know, came out. There were some comments during camp 728 00:41:03,360 --> 00:41:06,920 Speaker 1: and you know, I mean pre camping sorry draft day. 729 00:41:06,920 --> 00:41:09,600 Speaker 1: If I go back to his like about his interest 730 00:41:09,640 --> 00:41:12,239 Speaker 1: to being a Jaguar, that quickly went away, quickly put 731 00:41:12,360 --> 00:41:15,000 Speaker 1: that to bed. No big deal came out to camp. 732 00:41:15,280 --> 00:41:18,239 Speaker 1: You know, maybe some Nixon you know, injuries during camp. 733 00:41:18,320 --> 00:41:22,200 Speaker 1: But then opening day last year was like a superstar 734 00:41:23,120 --> 00:41:25,480 Speaker 1: great had an interception off rivers. Yeah, I mean just 735 00:41:25,640 --> 00:41:28,520 Speaker 1: looked fabulous and and then was up and down to 736 00:41:28,719 --> 00:41:31,200 Speaker 1: like a lot of rookies. But then the injuries started 737 00:41:31,239 --> 00:41:34,239 Speaker 1: coming and you just started hearing stuff just like and 738 00:41:34,400 --> 00:41:35,960 Speaker 1: it was just and the next thing you know, he's 739 00:41:36,000 --> 00:41:39,080 Speaker 1: in I are, Um, he had a shoulder issue, that 740 00:41:39,280 --> 00:41:42,840 Speaker 1: growing a bunch of different stuff and so you started 741 00:41:43,239 --> 00:41:48,040 Speaker 1: instantly worrying about the availability. UM. And then this offseason, 742 00:41:48,960 --> 00:41:50,279 Speaker 1: you know, you didn't hear a lot about it, but 743 00:41:50,360 --> 00:41:52,719 Speaker 1: you heard you know, is there injuries? And then he 744 00:41:52,800 --> 00:41:55,320 Speaker 1: starts off camp, you know, on the COVID list, and 745 00:41:55,360 --> 00:41:59,520 Speaker 1: then he finally shows up and then he's one practice 746 00:41:59,800 --> 00:42:02,520 Speaker 1: in and he's gone again. And so there's just all 747 00:42:02,600 --> 00:42:05,000 Speaker 1: these different things swirling. And immediately you hear about these 748 00:42:05,000 --> 00:42:09,080 Speaker 1: trade rumors and so you know, not where you want 749 00:42:09,120 --> 00:42:11,399 Speaker 1: to be with the guy you picked in the top 750 00:42:11,480 --> 00:42:15,680 Speaker 1: ten to come so of your corner issue and um, 751 00:42:16,680 --> 00:42:18,680 Speaker 1: but this is where we are and this is we'll 752 00:42:18,719 --> 00:42:20,960 Speaker 1: see where it goes. I mean, the rumors are out there. 753 00:42:21,640 --> 00:42:24,960 Speaker 1: You hear about him. UM, tell you what, I was 754 00:42:25,040 --> 00:42:28,640 Speaker 1: just in New Orleans. They're looking for a corner and 755 00:42:28,760 --> 00:42:31,880 Speaker 1: you know there's you know, there's people regardless of what 756 00:42:32,040 --> 00:42:35,400 Speaker 1: has happened here and all the different rumors and nonsense 757 00:42:35,480 --> 00:42:38,160 Speaker 1: and whatever whatever is true or not, who knows. Um, 758 00:42:38,320 --> 00:42:40,800 Speaker 1: you just know that the rumors are about trade. You know, 759 00:42:40,920 --> 00:42:43,319 Speaker 1: he's been at one practice and it's been a little bit. 760 00:42:43,880 --> 00:42:47,799 Speaker 1: You know, he's not been available, but you but there's 761 00:42:47,840 --> 00:42:50,920 Speaker 1: a he was a he was a top corner prospect 762 00:42:51,040 --> 00:42:53,160 Speaker 1: just a year ago, and you know that a bunch 763 00:42:53,160 --> 00:42:55,960 Speaker 1: of other teams had them high on their board. So, um, 764 00:42:56,840 --> 00:42:59,520 Speaker 1: now will they get the value that a top as 765 00:42:59,560 --> 00:43:01,960 Speaker 1: a top want to know? But they'll get something. They'll 766 00:43:02,000 --> 00:43:04,160 Speaker 1: be a team out there interested because they will feel 767 00:43:04,239 --> 00:43:07,000 Speaker 1: like and they will remember the evaluation they did of 768 00:43:07,120 --> 00:43:10,040 Speaker 1: him as a Gator and say, hey, whatever happened at 769 00:43:10,160 --> 00:43:13,759 Speaker 1: Jacksonville happened, we can fix it. We can get the 770 00:43:13,800 --> 00:43:15,800 Speaker 1: most out of him. Let's go take a chance. And 771 00:43:16,160 --> 00:43:21,080 Speaker 1: he's got a relatively cheap contract. That's right. If you're 772 00:43:21,239 --> 00:43:23,160 Speaker 1: like you're the Saint. You've got a bunch of money 773 00:43:23,680 --> 00:43:27,319 Speaker 1: in Marshawn Lattimore, who might get suspended, by the way, 774 00:43:27,880 --> 00:43:32,719 Speaker 1: and your other corners drafted for what for he got 775 00:43:32,840 --> 00:43:36,719 Speaker 1: arrested for he had a gun charge, a legal firearm 776 00:43:36,800 --> 00:43:39,640 Speaker 1: or whatever, so there's a chance he gets suspended. And 777 00:43:40,400 --> 00:43:43,200 Speaker 1: then you have the kids you drafted out of Stanford 778 00:43:43,239 --> 00:43:46,960 Speaker 1: a debo and you have Patrick Robinson and guys like that. 779 00:43:47,080 --> 00:43:49,560 Speaker 1: I mean, these guys are twenty years old. They need 780 00:43:49,640 --> 00:43:51,920 Speaker 1: a corner, and I was told they're going to get 781 00:43:51,920 --> 00:43:54,279 Speaker 1: a corner. Henderson would make a lot of sense to 782 00:43:54,320 --> 00:43:58,960 Speaker 1: the Saints. It's a cheap But again, when you start 783 00:43:59,120 --> 00:44:03,080 Speaker 1: talking about play yours, why isn't he on? The availability 784 00:44:03,239 --> 00:44:05,759 Speaker 1: is the only ability that truly matters, and he hasn't 785 00:44:05,800 --> 00:44:09,879 Speaker 1: been available, and that's the big concern. It's availability issue. Um, 786 00:44:11,080 --> 00:44:18,160 Speaker 1: And you can't control COVID's that's that's no, you can't 787 00:44:18,280 --> 00:44:21,759 Speaker 1: cod that's how. That's how the that's how the young 788 00:44:21,800 --> 00:44:25,000 Speaker 1: man's The question is does he love it well? I mean, 789 00:44:25,080 --> 00:44:27,640 Speaker 1: that's the question. I mean, and that's always a question question. 790 00:44:27,680 --> 00:44:30,120 Speaker 1: When he came out of college in Florida, the scouts 791 00:44:30,160 --> 00:44:32,319 Speaker 1: all when you talk to the scouts, the personnel people, 792 00:44:32,360 --> 00:44:34,399 Speaker 1: they asked that same question. Does he love it? Will 793 00:44:34,440 --> 00:44:36,480 Speaker 1: he will? Will you get to the NFL game and 794 00:44:36,560 --> 00:44:40,239 Speaker 1: love it? Understand it's something that you have to I mean, 795 00:44:40,560 --> 00:44:43,040 Speaker 1: it's one of the evaluations. It's part of the evaluation process. 796 00:44:43,080 --> 00:44:45,000 Speaker 1: Anytime you pick a guy, you know, there's a lot 797 00:44:45,080 --> 00:44:48,120 Speaker 1: of talented guys, I mean, and set aside C. J. 798 00:44:48,239 --> 00:44:50,560 Speaker 1: Henderson for a Second, there's a ton of talented guys 799 00:44:50,960 --> 00:44:54,520 Speaker 1: in college that are just great because they're great athletes, 800 00:44:54,680 --> 00:44:58,600 Speaker 1: but they don't truly love ball. And you better love 801 00:44:58,719 --> 00:45:01,920 Speaker 1: football if you're gonna, you know, if you're gonna have 802 00:45:02,160 --> 00:45:05,680 Speaker 1: long term success, and and and you want a guy, 803 00:45:05,760 --> 00:45:08,239 Speaker 1: you want a locker room full of guys who love ball. 804 00:45:08,719 --> 00:45:11,480 Speaker 1: They just love football. It's a hard game and if 805 00:45:11,520 --> 00:45:14,440 Speaker 1: you don't love it, it's really really hard. But what 806 00:45:14,520 --> 00:45:16,200 Speaker 1: do you think they get back for him? Like the 807 00:45:16,280 --> 00:45:18,319 Speaker 1: Saints make it, call him up and say, hey, we'd 808 00:45:18,360 --> 00:45:20,200 Speaker 1: love to have THO was our starting corner. What do 809 00:45:20,280 --> 00:45:21,960 Speaker 1: you get back for him? I heard they have di 810 00:45:22,000 --> 00:45:27,480 Speaker 1: scrambled wide receiver right hearing stories about there. You don't 811 00:45:27,520 --> 00:45:30,920 Speaker 1: want him here either, Yeah, yeah, you're not getting Michael Thomas. 812 00:45:30,960 --> 00:45:33,279 Speaker 1: I don't think you don't want to be here anyways. Yeah, 813 00:45:33,360 --> 00:45:35,000 Speaker 1: I mean because there's a lot of noise around him. 814 00:45:35,040 --> 00:45:37,480 Speaker 1: Pat to your point, Oh my gosh, you don't want 815 00:45:37,560 --> 00:45:39,960 Speaker 1: him around there. That's not what this young team needs. 816 00:45:40,080 --> 00:45:42,520 Speaker 1: That's not what that young quarterback needs. They don't know, 817 00:45:42,920 --> 00:45:46,400 Speaker 1: you don't want you don't want that. And so um, 818 00:45:46,719 --> 00:45:50,719 Speaker 1: so what do you get back? Third or fourth? Well, 819 00:45:50,760 --> 00:45:53,920 Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, I'd be apprehensive to trade him 820 00:45:54,000 --> 00:45:58,319 Speaker 1: for a three or four totally was gone with him 821 00:45:58,719 --> 00:46:01,239 Speaker 1: when it's not fixed bolt, which I don't think that's 822 00:46:01,280 --> 00:46:04,160 Speaker 1: the case. I wouldn't trade him for anything less than two? 823 00:46:05,120 --> 00:46:07,640 Speaker 1: Are you thinking? I mean, Pete, but you, I mean, 824 00:46:07,719 --> 00:46:10,480 Speaker 1: you know this as well as I do. If it 825 00:46:10,600 --> 00:46:13,320 Speaker 1: just depends how much smoke is out there, you know, 826 00:46:13,560 --> 00:46:15,360 Speaker 1: and we don't hear everything I mean, and half the 827 00:46:15,360 --> 00:46:19,960 Speaker 1: stuff you hear is well, then yeah, then I I 828 00:46:20,040 --> 00:46:22,919 Speaker 1: would agree with you. But you have to I think 829 00:46:23,160 --> 00:46:27,200 Speaker 1: if you're building something here, you have to make the decision. 830 00:46:27,360 --> 00:46:29,080 Speaker 1: And again I'll go back to you want a bunch 831 00:46:29,160 --> 00:46:31,120 Speaker 1: of guys out locker room that love football, And I 832 00:46:31,160 --> 00:46:33,560 Speaker 1: don't know CJ. Henderson's I'm not gonna make an evaluation. 833 00:46:33,640 --> 00:46:36,160 Speaker 1: I don't know you heard the Pete's point. You heard 834 00:46:36,200 --> 00:46:37,920 Speaker 1: stuff coming out of college last year. It's a long 835 00:46:38,000 --> 00:46:41,520 Speaker 1: time ago. But Urban and the coaching staff they've been 836 00:46:41,560 --> 00:46:47,040 Speaker 1: around him now and Trent Balky. Part of the evaluation is, okay, 837 00:46:47,160 --> 00:46:48,600 Speaker 1: number one, what do you want to get for him? 838 00:46:48,600 --> 00:46:50,520 Speaker 1: And if it's a two and you can't get it 839 00:46:50,600 --> 00:46:54,759 Speaker 1: too well, then if you keep them, is is he 840 00:46:54,840 --> 00:46:57,080 Speaker 1: gonna be available, are we gonna get production out of him? 841 00:46:57,120 --> 00:46:58,960 Speaker 1: And does he want does he love it? I don't 842 00:46:59,000 --> 00:47:01,719 Speaker 1: know that. I can't to those questions. See, and I 843 00:47:01,760 --> 00:47:03,320 Speaker 1: don't think this is I don't think this is a 844 00:47:03,440 --> 00:47:06,600 Speaker 1: case where Jalen didn't want to be in Jacksonville. I 845 00:47:06,640 --> 00:47:08,880 Speaker 1: don't think that's the case at all. That that's not 846 00:47:09,000 --> 00:47:11,400 Speaker 1: the issue. It's not this staff or this regime or 847 00:47:11,400 --> 00:47:13,600 Speaker 1: anything like that. That's at least that's what I saw. 848 00:47:14,280 --> 00:47:16,640 Speaker 1: It's just a matter of get him on the field. 849 00:47:16,880 --> 00:47:20,160 Speaker 1: And if I'm urban Meyer and Gang, I'd like to 850 00:47:20,280 --> 00:47:24,560 Speaker 1: have him on my team. But if if they clearly 851 00:47:25,160 --> 00:47:29,040 Speaker 1: it's been leaked out there that he's available and teams 852 00:47:29,160 --> 00:47:32,600 Speaker 1: know that, how do you amend that fence? Now? If 853 00:47:32,680 --> 00:47:34,640 Speaker 1: you do, you know, if that gets out, that's out 854 00:47:37,040 --> 00:47:41,720 Speaker 1: and just by just you know, um, it's pretty obvious 855 00:47:41,840 --> 00:47:46,600 Speaker 1: that if you're top ten pick after just one year 856 00:47:47,040 --> 00:47:49,880 Speaker 1: and a partial year because he was injured, is all 857 00:47:49,920 --> 00:47:53,120 Speaker 1: of a sudden available after one practicing for one day 858 00:47:53,200 --> 00:47:58,920 Speaker 1: with you? Raises questions. Henderson has been in the news. 931 00:52:42,560 --> 00:52:46,240 Speaker 1: We'll get your social questions coming up in the second hour. Pete, 932 00:52:46,320 --> 00:52:49,480 Speaker 1: what are your memories of Bobby Bowden? Did you ever 933 00:52:49,600 --> 00:52:52,080 Speaker 1: deal with him much in the old days? Yes, I 934 00:52:52,200 --> 00:52:56,480 Speaker 1: did not, I mean not a ton, but always gracious, 935 00:52:56,640 --> 00:53:00,279 Speaker 1: always accommodating and I'm gonna tell a story. We were 936 00:53:00,320 --> 00:53:03,880 Speaker 1: when I was at the Times Union, we investigated their program. 937 00:53:04,560 --> 00:53:09,360 Speaker 1: We did a thorough investigation of cheating allegations, and I 938 00:53:09,480 --> 00:53:12,960 Speaker 1: was a part of that, and I we actually got 939 00:53:13,040 --> 00:53:16,520 Speaker 1: the story and I had to do the confrontational interview 940 00:53:16,560 --> 00:53:19,120 Speaker 1: with Bobby. The story never ran by the way for 941 00:53:19,239 --> 00:53:22,040 Speaker 1: whatever reason, but it was. I did the confrontational interview 942 00:53:22,080 --> 00:53:25,120 Speaker 1: with Bobby, and I figured most coaches would scream and 943 00:53:25,200 --> 00:53:30,080 Speaker 1: yell at you, not him. He was He was classy, 944 00:53:31,600 --> 00:53:34,880 Speaker 1: very easy to deal with, and I always respected him 945 00:53:35,200 --> 00:53:37,160 Speaker 1: because of that. And and plus I know a lot 946 00:53:37,160 --> 00:53:39,400 Speaker 1: of guys who played for him and when they played 947 00:53:39,440 --> 00:53:42,840 Speaker 1: for him, like Leroy Butler, you know Leroy Butler and 948 00:53:43,040 --> 00:53:45,200 Speaker 1: Edgar Bennett, guys I've known for a long time. They 949 00:53:45,280 --> 00:53:48,800 Speaker 1: just love the guy. So I always had, you know, 950 00:53:48,920 --> 00:53:51,960 Speaker 1: this idea that he was a different kind of coach, 951 00:53:52,520 --> 00:53:54,759 Speaker 1: maybe more so, a little more folksy, a little more 952 00:53:55,160 --> 00:53:58,200 Speaker 1: down home, and really had a great relationship with his players. 953 00:53:58,360 --> 00:54:02,000 Speaker 1: How difficult was that confidence stational interview, the idea of 954 00:54:02,080 --> 00:54:06,440 Speaker 1: having to go confront him, Well, for some it was 955 00:54:06,640 --> 00:54:08,600 Speaker 1: it was actually done on the phone. But but for 956 00:54:08,719 --> 00:54:10,560 Speaker 1: some coaches, no matter where it's done, it would have 957 00:54:10,600 --> 00:54:13,719 Speaker 1: been bad, and he wasn't that way. I mean, you know, 958 00:54:13,800 --> 00:54:17,120 Speaker 1: we had a story. It was allegations of the program cheating, 959 00:54:17,200 --> 00:54:21,080 Speaker 1: and it never ran. Um. But it was a good story. 960 00:54:21,120 --> 00:54:24,320 Speaker 1: It was well researched, and for whatever reason something happened 961 00:54:24,320 --> 00:54:27,239 Speaker 1: it didn't run. But um, it could have been ugly 962 00:54:27,480 --> 00:54:30,200 Speaker 1: and it wasn't. And I respected him for that. I mean, 963 00:54:30,840 --> 00:54:32,480 Speaker 1: and the times I went over there. I mean one 964 00:54:32,480 --> 00:54:34,520 Speaker 1: time we were driving through This has nothing to do 965 00:54:34,600 --> 00:54:36,120 Speaker 1: with him, but we were driving through the parking lot, 966 00:54:36,200 --> 00:54:39,360 Speaker 1: looking right down license plate numbers and the player parking 967 00:54:39,440 --> 00:54:42,520 Speaker 1: lot and they chased us away. And then that's the 968 00:54:42,600 --> 00:54:45,560 Speaker 1: kind of investigation it was. And and he, you know, 969 00:54:45,600 --> 00:54:47,320 Speaker 1: could have been angry about it. He was he was 970 00:54:47,400 --> 00:54:51,239 Speaker 1: always he was always easy going as a coach and 971 00:54:51,400 --> 00:54:53,120 Speaker 1: and even with the media. And I think that's why 972 00:54:53,200 --> 00:54:57,040 Speaker 1: the media liked him so much. But you, Tony, have 973 00:54:57,080 --> 00:55:02,920 Speaker 1: you ever interact with Hall of Fame tough college and uh, 974 00:55:03,160 --> 00:55:05,560 Speaker 1: maybe not at all. I'm trying to think of covering games. 975 00:55:05,840 --> 00:55:07,920 Speaker 1: Did some college games for Florida State when he was there, 976 00:55:08,640 --> 00:55:11,840 Speaker 1: did his last game at the Gator Bowl. Um, But 977 00:55:12,000 --> 00:55:14,360 Speaker 1: have a lot of friends who played for him and 978 00:55:14,560 --> 00:55:19,560 Speaker 1: new guys who played for him, and and everything you hear, UM, 979 00:55:20,560 --> 00:55:24,040 Speaker 1: great coach, better person. And if you just look at 980 00:55:24,239 --> 00:55:27,040 Speaker 1: the life he's lived, I think Urban said the best. 981 00:55:27,120 --> 00:55:30,360 Speaker 1: I mean, what a life, What an example um that 982 00:55:30,440 --> 00:55:32,720 Speaker 1: he set for so many individuals, and what an impact 983 00:55:32,800 --> 00:55:35,839 Speaker 1: he made at Florida State. And you know building a program. Yes, 984 00:55:35,920 --> 00:55:39,399 Speaker 1: on the field, but also I've never heard one person 985 00:55:39,520 --> 00:55:42,640 Speaker 1: say anything negative about Bobby about and that's that's tough. 986 00:55:42,840 --> 00:55:45,399 Speaker 1: I mean, you know, you find you talked to enough people, 987 00:55:45,440 --> 00:55:48,440 Speaker 1: you can find somebody who doesn't like a person, but 988 00:55:49,400 --> 00:55:51,200 Speaker 1: you'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't like 989 00:55:51,280 --> 00:55:56,080 Speaker 1: Bobby Bouden and built the program from from it was 990 00:55:56,120 --> 00:56:00,880 Speaker 1: a disaster scratch. Basically. The best way he did it 991 00:56:00,960 --> 00:56:03,239 Speaker 1: was he went and played other people. Remember they used 992 00:56:03,239 --> 00:56:05,440 Speaker 1: to go play and get the sod games. They go grass, 993 00:56:05,840 --> 00:56:07,960 Speaker 1: they cut after they beat upset teams on the road, 994 00:56:08,000 --> 00:56:09,920 Speaker 1: they cut out the grass and bring it home. They 995 00:56:10,000 --> 00:56:13,080 Speaker 1: still have it, by the way, Nothing but respect for 996 00:56:13,160 --> 00:56:16,800 Speaker 1: what he did at Florida's Day. Putting ahead on the 997 00:56:17,040 --> 00:56:21,040 Speaker 1: second hour of Jaguars Happy Hour, Trevor Lawrence, C. J. This is our first 1068 01:00:42,160 --> 01:00:46,680 Speaker 1: Monday Happy Hour program since January four. We're back and 1069 01:00:46,800 --> 01:00:50,720 Speaker 1: we'll be here pretty much every Monday until the day 1070 01:00:50,760 --> 01:00:53,320 Speaker 1: after the Super Bowl. Pete if the Jaguars go that far. 1071 01:00:53,400 --> 01:00:57,760 Speaker 1: How about it? And uh, if Tony goes to England 1072 01:00:57,800 --> 01:00:59,760 Speaker 1: and can't do the show, that'll be our highest rated 1073 01:00:59,760 --> 01:01:03,520 Speaker 1: show that Monday, like it always is the tradition. Unlike 1074 01:01:03,560 --> 01:01:07,040 Speaker 1: any is there any word on the ticket sales are 1075 01:01:07,080 --> 01:01:11,000 Speaker 1: beginning in phases in the UK, okay, and I think 1076 01:01:11,000 --> 01:01:14,960 Speaker 1: they're gonna sell until otherwise, you know, if if I 1077 01:01:15,040 --> 01:01:17,320 Speaker 1: don't know, if there's a drop dead date where they 1078 01:01:17,400 --> 01:01:19,160 Speaker 1: have to say, hey, it's not gonna happen, or it 1079 01:01:19,240 --> 01:01:22,280 Speaker 1: is gonna happen. But ticket sales are beginning in phases 1080 01:01:22,320 --> 01:01:24,800 Speaker 1: in the UK for those games. So that means that 1081 01:01:24,920 --> 01:01:28,160 Speaker 1: we will have our Tony less show that Monday after 1082 01:01:28,240 --> 01:01:30,880 Speaker 1: the game, the highest rate every year since we've been 1083 01:01:30,880 --> 01:01:33,080 Speaker 1: doing this show, it's the highest rated show going through 1084 01:01:33,120 --> 01:01:38,800 Speaker 1: the roof. Yeah, we'll see about that. The numbers don't lie. Oh, 1085 01:01:38,920 --> 01:01:42,480 Speaker 1: the people say they love it, Pete. I mean I 1086 01:01:42,520 --> 01:01:43,840 Speaker 1: get a lot of people who come to me and 1087 01:01:43,920 --> 01:01:48,600 Speaker 1: say that show is magic radio. I mean it's incredible 1088 01:01:48,640 --> 01:01:50,520 Speaker 1: to listen to. Let's test it. You guys can't do 1089 01:01:50,560 --> 01:01:54,840 Speaker 1: the last hour by yourself. He's always looking for a 1090 01:01:54,920 --> 01:01:57,520 Speaker 1: way out. I have been every year. Yes, 1107 01:02:49,840 --> 01:02:52,200 Speaker 1: I've been very Fortunately you have to come home early 1108 01:02:52,280 --> 01:02:54,000 Speaker 1: and he gets to stay, which is right. When you 1109 01:02:54,080 --> 01:02:56,840 Speaker 1: come back, you do the show. Tony has like other duties. 1110 01:02:56,920 --> 01:02:58,480 Speaker 1: I guess. So I come back and I'm on the 1111 01:02:58,560 --> 01:03:00,960 Speaker 1: air Monday here in this student. You know, after flying 1112 01:03:01,040 --> 01:03:05,160 Speaker 1: back with the team, I have sponsorship responsibilities that might 1113 01:03:05,200 --> 01:03:07,920 Speaker 1: not be the case, might not be the case. Too 1114 01:03:07,960 --> 01:03:10,040 Speaker 1: early to tell. Yeah, I mean i've even heard you 1115 01:03:10,120 --> 01:03:18,680 Speaker 1: know what the plan is. But your day, Yeah, keep going, 1116 01:03:19,160 --> 01:03:22,120 Speaker 1: love it. The Jaguars are in the stadium Sunday. They're 1117 01:03:22,160 --> 01:03:24,320 Speaker 1: off today. As we said, back on the practice field 1118 01:03:24,320 --> 01:03:26,680 Speaker 1: the rest of the way, no more open practices to fans. 1119 01:03:26,760 --> 01:03:28,840 Speaker 1: Sunday was the last chance to see the Jacks for 1120 01:03:28,960 --> 01:03:32,520 Speaker 1: free in this offseason program. C J. Henderson has been 1121 01:03:32,560 --> 01:03:35,280 Speaker 1: in the news today. Well, the trade rumors have been 1122 01:03:35,320 --> 01:03:38,440 Speaker 1: out there, at least in this afternoon, the New Orleans 1123 01:03:38,520 --> 01:03:42,360 Speaker 1: Times picking you newspaper reporting that the Saints are looking 1124 01:03:42,440 --> 01:03:46,160 Speaker 1: for a corner, including looking at c J. Henderson. There 1125 01:03:46,160 --> 01:03:48,560 Speaker 1: are those trade rumors. That's not the only one that's 1126 01:03:48,560 --> 01:03:50,720 Speaker 1: been out there today, Tony, but that's been the big 1127 01:03:50,840 --> 01:03:54,280 Speaker 1: topic of discussion. And Pete, you think we talked about 1128 01:03:54,280 --> 01:03:56,120 Speaker 1: this in the first hour. You think they should try 1129 01:03:56,120 --> 01:03:57,520 Speaker 1: to get a second round or you think they can 1130 01:03:57,560 --> 01:04:02,520 Speaker 1: get a second rounder for CJ. Uh Yeah, maybe, I 1131 01:04:02,600 --> 01:04:04,640 Speaker 1: mean he is was the ninth overall picked people at 1132 01:04:04,680 --> 01:04:07,240 Speaker 1: first or high first round graids on them. So yeah, 1133 01:04:07,280 --> 01:04:09,880 Speaker 1: I think there's a possibility. No, I listen from a 1134 01:04:10,000 --> 01:04:12,040 Speaker 1: talent standpoint, there's no doubt about it. We saw it 1135 01:04:12,120 --> 01:04:14,520 Speaker 1: firsthand that dude can play football when he's on the 1136 01:04:15,920 --> 01:04:18,360 Speaker 1: first round. No, I know that the but my point 1137 01:04:18,440 --> 01:04:21,720 Speaker 1: is he can play. The question is you know availability, 1138 01:04:21,840 --> 01:04:26,240 Speaker 1: which we addressed, and if I was a opposing team, 1139 01:04:26,400 --> 01:04:28,960 Speaker 1: my first question is, Okay, why are you trading him 1140 01:04:29,000 --> 01:04:36,200 Speaker 1: after one year? Right? I mean, wouldn't a legitimate question. Yeah? Yeah. 1141 01:04:37,160 --> 01:04:39,840 Speaker 1: By the way, if it's even true, the Jaguars have 1142 01:04:39,920 --> 01:04:43,120 Speaker 1: not confirmed they're trading. Um, there's nothing out there. It's 1143 01:04:43,160 --> 01:04:46,640 Speaker 1: a report, you know on several outlets are saying that 1144 01:04:46,840 --> 01:04:49,960 Speaker 1: they're that they're it's open for business as far as 1145 01:04:50,280 --> 01:04:53,120 Speaker 1: having conversations about trading for CJ. Henderson, But to be clear, 1146 01:04:54,200 --> 01:04:58,400 Speaker 1: the Jaguars have not confirmed that that is the case. Again, 1147 01:04:58,480 --> 01:05:01,400 Speaker 1: I go back to the Saints. For the Saints a 1148 01:05:01,560 --> 01:05:04,120 Speaker 1: cheap corner, and that's what he is right now. Makes 1149 01:05:04,160 --> 01:05:07,240 Speaker 1: a lot of sense for a quarterback needy team. For example, 1150 01:05:07,400 --> 01:05:09,480 Speaker 1: if they were in the market to trade for Xavian 1151 01:05:09,520 --> 01:05:12,280 Speaker 1: Howard before he got his deal restructured, that would have 1152 01:05:12,320 --> 01:05:14,720 Speaker 1: been to twenty million dollar corners. You can't do that, 1153 01:05:15,480 --> 01:05:17,080 Speaker 1: but you can do it with c J. Henderson because 1154 01:05:17,120 --> 01:05:21,000 Speaker 1: his deal is finals financially uh good for the team. 1155 01:05:21,080 --> 01:05:23,280 Speaker 1: So I think it's possible that the Saints could make 1156 01:05:23,320 --> 01:05:25,760 Speaker 1: that deal if they wanted. So, the Jaguars spent a 1157 01:05:25,840 --> 01:05:29,560 Speaker 1: lot of actual cash and then draft equity at the 1158 01:05:29,600 --> 01:05:33,480 Speaker 1: cornerback position. This offseason. Shatt Griffin came over in free agency, 1159 01:05:33,640 --> 01:05:37,320 Speaker 1: big deal of course, from the Seahawks, and then in 1160 01:05:37,400 --> 01:05:40,880 Speaker 1: the draft Tyson Campbell second round draft pick. If for 1161 01:05:41,040 --> 01:05:44,840 Speaker 1: some reason c J. Henderson is no longer on this roster, 1162 01:05:45,520 --> 01:05:48,479 Speaker 1: are the Jags okay at cornerback? To do they feel 1163 01:05:48,520 --> 01:05:50,240 Speaker 1: like they have to go get somebody else at some 1164 01:05:50,360 --> 01:05:53,600 Speaker 1: point that can actually go play and play right away. Um, 1165 01:05:55,320 --> 01:05:58,360 Speaker 1: let's go through it. I mean Sidney Jones, you know again, 1166 01:05:59,320 --> 01:06:02,040 Speaker 1: Nick Dupple throughout his career, but when he was healthy 1167 01:06:02,120 --> 01:06:05,400 Speaker 1: last year, he looked he played good corner outside corner, 1168 01:06:05,560 --> 01:06:08,840 Speaker 1: was a good player. Trey Herndon more of a nickel 1169 01:06:09,000 --> 01:06:11,120 Speaker 1: or a backup outside guy I think was We're I mean, 1170 01:06:11,240 --> 01:06:15,880 Speaker 1: but he started outside and was a productive guy. But yeah, 1171 01:06:16,000 --> 01:06:18,240 Speaker 1: that's why I said he moved to nickel. Um, I've 1172 01:06:18,280 --> 01:06:20,560 Speaker 1: been super impressed what I've seen from Tyson Campbell. He 1173 01:06:20,640 --> 01:06:23,240 Speaker 1: seems to be around the ball, good cover, guy has length, 1174 01:06:23,560 --> 01:06:27,800 Speaker 1: he was good yesterday, good size, um, and so you 1175 01:06:27,880 --> 01:06:29,600 Speaker 1: know you drafted him the top of the second round 1176 01:06:29,640 --> 01:06:32,720 Speaker 1: for a reason. It's almost like another first rounder. Um. 1177 01:06:34,960 --> 01:06:39,040 Speaker 1: So I mean I think you could piece it together. Yeah, 1178 01:06:39,280 --> 01:06:41,560 Speaker 1: you can piece it together. But it hurts because you're 1179 01:06:41,640 --> 01:06:43,440 Speaker 1: counting on you got. You draft the guy in the 1180 01:06:43,480 --> 01:06:46,200 Speaker 1: top ten because you think he's a starter. But how 1181 01:06:46,240 --> 01:06:50,360 Speaker 1: do you play it? If Henderson's there's Henderson, Griffin and 1182 01:06:50,960 --> 01:06:55,760 Speaker 1: Campbell's Campbell's So if if he's not there, then it 1183 01:06:55,840 --> 01:06:59,920 Speaker 1: becomes what Griffin Jones and Campbell's and nickel or Griff 1184 01:07:00,040 --> 01:07:04,240 Speaker 1: and Campbell outside and heard the nickel, Yeah, some combination 1185 01:07:04,320 --> 01:07:07,960 Speaker 1: of the such. Where do you think Campbell is more 1186 01:07:08,000 --> 01:07:12,520 Speaker 1: comfortable playing? I think he's an outside corner. Um. Yeah, 1187 01:07:12,920 --> 01:07:15,560 Speaker 1: that's I don't know, Pete. I have not to be honestly. 1188 01:07:15,560 --> 01:07:17,440 Speaker 1: It's not like I've watched every play to see where 1189 01:07:17,480 --> 01:07:19,800 Speaker 1: he's been lining up, and I've not talked to I 1190 01:07:19,840 --> 01:07:21,320 Speaker 1: haven't heard from any of the coaches. I don't think 1191 01:07:22,800 --> 01:07:26,200 Speaker 1: an outside corner. Well, that's because of his length right 1192 01:07:26,240 --> 01:07:28,600 Speaker 1: here right and the little corner in the slot usually 1193 01:07:28,640 --> 01:07:31,160 Speaker 1: has to turn and as I don't he's more of 1194 01:07:31,240 --> 01:07:35,080 Speaker 1: a long glider. I don't. I think he could play 1195 01:07:35,160 --> 01:07:36,840 Speaker 1: the nickel, but I think he's more of an outside. 1196 01:07:38,800 --> 01:07:42,200 Speaker 1: Another position of interest, of course, in this training camp 1197 01:07:42,320 --> 01:07:46,200 Speaker 1: so far has been the offensive tackles. Cam Robinson. He's 1198 01:07:46,200 --> 01:07:49,320 Speaker 1: in the franchise tag year thirteen point seven million dollars 1199 01:07:49,400 --> 01:07:52,480 Speaker 1: guaranteed this season. Juwan Taylor on the right side, trying 1200 01:07:52,520 --> 01:07:55,720 Speaker 1: to bounce back from a penalty laden season let's say 1201 01:07:55,920 --> 01:07:59,120 Speaker 1: a year ago, and then the Jaguars in the second round. 1202 01:07:59,240 --> 01:08:02,000 Speaker 1: Later in the second on after the Campbell pick went 1203 01:08:02,040 --> 01:08:04,320 Speaker 1: and got Walker Little from Stanford, and he has not 1204 01:08:04,480 --> 01:08:07,920 Speaker 1: played since early in the nineteen season. He injured his 1205 01:08:07,960 --> 01:08:11,200 Speaker 1: knee in the opening game against Northwestern that year and 1206 01:08:11,440 --> 01:08:14,600 Speaker 1: missed the entire season, came back, opted out last year, 1207 01:08:14,680 --> 01:08:16,760 Speaker 1: did not play last season, so he has not played 1208 01:08:16,800 --> 01:08:20,080 Speaker 1: football since Week one of twenty nineteen. He told me 1209 01:08:20,120 --> 01:08:22,320 Speaker 1: the other week that he has fired up to be 1210 01:08:22,439 --> 01:08:25,360 Speaker 1: back in an actual football game at some point very soon. 1211 01:08:26,080 --> 01:08:27,880 Speaker 1: There have been some moments, at least in one on 1212 01:08:28,000 --> 01:08:30,040 Speaker 1: ones when the pads went on, that you can see 1213 01:08:30,439 --> 01:08:34,920 Speaker 1: his size and his his ability to to play and 1214 01:08:35,000 --> 01:08:36,800 Speaker 1: do things the right way. Tony. What have you seen 1215 01:08:36,920 --> 01:08:38,519 Speaker 1: on tape from him? What have you seen out of 1216 01:08:38,800 --> 01:08:41,920 Speaker 1: little the times you've seen him in person? Um, he's 1217 01:08:41,960 --> 01:08:44,400 Speaker 1: a big athletic man. I mean he's just a big 1218 01:08:44,560 --> 01:08:50,360 Speaker 1: person UM. And he has natural ability, natural strength, UM 1219 01:08:50,560 --> 01:08:54,599 Speaker 1: to be a really good player both you know, run game, 1220 01:08:54,640 --> 01:08:57,760 Speaker 1: pass game obviously you know you know some things he 1221 01:08:57,840 --> 01:09:01,920 Speaker 1: can clean up UM in the past game and and 1222 01:09:02,400 --> 01:09:05,280 Speaker 1: you know footwork, you know, in coordination with you know 1223 01:09:07,080 --> 01:09:10,439 Speaker 1: uh in uh working with his hand placement and everything else. 1224 01:09:10,960 --> 01:09:17,160 Speaker 1: But just overall, UM, you see why he was, you know, 1225 01:09:18,120 --> 01:09:20,479 Speaker 1: before the injury and before the opt out was you know, 1226 01:09:20,600 --> 01:09:22,640 Speaker 1: thought about it as a first round traft pick. And 1227 01:09:23,680 --> 01:09:25,360 Speaker 1: and my guess is if he would have played last year, 1228 01:09:25,360 --> 01:09:27,040 Speaker 1: he would have been a first round draft pick this year. 1229 01:09:27,320 --> 01:09:31,280 Speaker 1: I mean, he's he is a very high ceiling and 1230 01:09:31,360 --> 01:09:35,280 Speaker 1: I think he'll push. I think I think he'll push 1231 01:09:35,320 --> 01:09:38,439 Speaker 1: both the tackles. Does he play this year? I think 1232 01:09:38,479 --> 01:09:45,360 Speaker 1: he does? Which side? When you do this all the time, 1233 01:09:45,800 --> 01:09:50,400 Speaker 1: when I don't know, well, I mean I don't know. 1234 01:09:51,040 --> 01:09:54,480 Speaker 1: Here's the thing I've said all year, said the offseason, 1235 01:09:54,680 --> 01:09:58,280 Speaker 1: saying it camp. I feel really good about the interior too. 1236 01:10:00,360 --> 01:10:05,679 Speaker 1: I think the the um. Two out the two tackles, 1237 01:10:05,920 --> 01:10:08,439 Speaker 1: Joan Taylor and Cam Robinson have a ton of talent, 1238 01:10:09,920 --> 01:10:13,040 Speaker 1: like they have upside, They're big, physical men. They are 1239 01:10:13,080 --> 01:10:16,800 Speaker 1: inconsistent and you have to be more consistent if you 1240 01:10:16,920 --> 01:10:19,160 Speaker 1: want to be effective as an offense. You need consistency. 1241 01:10:19,200 --> 01:10:21,120 Speaker 1: How those guys where they can hold up when it matters. 1242 01:10:22,000 --> 01:10:25,080 Speaker 1: And I just I worry about the footwork I worry about, 1243 01:10:25,280 --> 01:10:28,679 Speaker 1: you know, especially in the pass game. I worry about 1244 01:10:29,240 --> 01:10:32,880 Speaker 1: UM holding up on a good outside rushers where we 1245 01:10:32,960 --> 01:10:38,920 Speaker 1: saw them struggle last year at times and and early. 1246 01:10:39,200 --> 01:10:41,240 Speaker 1: And this is super early, so you don't want to 1247 01:10:41,320 --> 01:10:43,400 Speaker 1: jump to conclusions after a little bit over a week 1248 01:10:43,439 --> 01:10:46,800 Speaker 1: of camp. You still see some of the tendencies. Talking 1249 01:10:46,800 --> 01:10:49,560 Speaker 1: about Cam Robinson where he kind of opens up the 1250 01:10:49,640 --> 01:10:53,000 Speaker 1: gate gets you know, perpendicular to the line of scrimmage 1251 01:10:53,160 --> 01:10:57,000 Speaker 1: really early shortened that corner for an outside rusher, and 1252 01:10:57,120 --> 01:11:00,360 Speaker 1: that's something has plagued them for most of his career. 1253 01:11:01,760 --> 01:11:03,840 Speaker 1: And I think Jowan Taylor is again another guy I 1254 01:11:03,880 --> 01:11:06,320 Speaker 1: think he needs to play bigger. I don't think Jowan 1255 01:11:06,400 --> 01:11:12,000 Speaker 1: Taylor plays his big um as he as I think 1256 01:11:12,080 --> 01:11:15,679 Speaker 1: he should. It's funny Tony when you mentioned that because 1257 01:11:15,720 --> 01:11:19,240 Speaker 1: I think the same thing when you leon seriously, was 1258 01:11:19,320 --> 01:11:22,639 Speaker 1: not a big man, but he played big. He played big. 1259 01:11:23,479 --> 01:11:27,040 Speaker 1: This he just got doesn't play big. And judging from 1260 01:11:27,040 --> 01:11:28,479 Speaker 1: what people are saying up there, and I only saw 1261 01:11:28,520 --> 01:11:31,960 Speaker 1: one practice, he's had a good camp, Juwan Taylor. But 1262 01:11:32,400 --> 01:11:35,719 Speaker 1: I'm with you, JP, You're being kind. Penalties. That wasn't 1263 01:11:35,720 --> 01:11:38,080 Speaker 1: the only part of the problems of his game last year. 1264 01:11:38,320 --> 01:11:42,400 Speaker 1: He wasn't very good. He regrets, he regrets came Robinson 1265 01:11:42,439 --> 01:11:45,880 Speaker 1: didn't get better. That's why they drafted Walker Little, and 1266 01:11:46,120 --> 01:11:50,280 Speaker 1: so I think I think early in the season Walker 1267 01:11:50,320 --> 01:11:53,479 Speaker 1: Little will be the left tackle, does too. He just 1268 01:11:53,520 --> 01:11:56,639 Speaker 1: doesn't want to say so. You think you know they 1269 01:11:57,840 --> 01:12:01,320 Speaker 1: they oh came robs in million dollars matter what, which 1270 01:12:01,400 --> 01:12:04,040 Speaker 1: is why he's the starter right now. But you think 1271 01:12:04,320 --> 01:12:08,920 Speaker 1: Walker Little wins the job before too long. If let's 1272 01:12:08,920 --> 01:12:11,439 Speaker 1: put this way, If Cam Robinson place like he did 1273 01:12:11,600 --> 01:12:14,400 Speaker 1: last season, yes, I agree, little Walker Little will be 1274 01:12:14,479 --> 01:12:18,120 Speaker 1: in there by October. I agree with that. Then what 1275 01:12:18,200 --> 01:12:21,120 Speaker 1: do you do with Cam Robinson after the year. You 1276 01:12:21,160 --> 01:12:23,200 Speaker 1: get rid of them, your backup and just eat the 1277 01:12:23,640 --> 01:12:26,439 Speaker 1: the backup and and yeah, you're not gonna play. First 1278 01:12:26,439 --> 01:12:27,680 Speaker 1: of all, I don't care about you're paying the guy. 1279 01:12:27,760 --> 01:12:29,320 Speaker 1: If the guy behind him is better, you're not gonna 1280 01:12:29,320 --> 01:12:31,320 Speaker 1: play it right. You don't move into a different spot. 1281 01:12:31,439 --> 01:12:34,080 Speaker 1: We're not going to overtake any There's all that talk 1282 01:12:34,160 --> 01:12:35,760 Speaker 1: of trying to my guard. He hasn't done any guard 1283 01:12:35,800 --> 01:12:37,400 Speaker 1: work that I know of. Okay, is he gonna be 1284 01:12:37,479 --> 01:12:40,439 Speaker 1: better than a j Can or or Noral? Obviously they 1285 01:12:40,479 --> 01:12:43,000 Speaker 1: don't think so if he's not working or cross training 1286 01:12:43,040 --> 01:12:47,080 Speaker 1: there right, Well, and a j Can had good years 1287 01:12:47,160 --> 01:12:49,280 Speaker 1: last year and he got Shotley behind them and BArch 1288 01:12:49,439 --> 01:12:54,559 Speaker 1: and those guys project you gotta then you got Then 1289 01:12:54,600 --> 01:12:57,519 Speaker 1: you have an expensive backup. I mean, you deal with it. 1290 01:12:58,439 --> 01:13:00,439 Speaker 1: But but you didn't when you pay at him, you 1291 01:13:00,520 --> 01:13:04,439 Speaker 1: didn't know you were getting a tackle like that was 1292 01:13:04,479 --> 01:13:08,360 Speaker 1: going to be there. Um. So if you're in that 1293 01:13:08,479 --> 01:13:11,880 Speaker 1: scenario when you drafted, if you didn't know Walker Little 1294 01:13:11,960 --> 01:13:14,240 Speaker 1: was gonna be there when you signed camera, when you 1295 01:13:14,320 --> 01:13:19,080 Speaker 1: put that tag on Cam Robinson, your backup was Will Richardson, correct, 1296 01:13:19,439 --> 01:13:23,880 Speaker 1: that's right. So you protected yourself and now you protected 1297 01:13:23,880 --> 01:13:26,200 Speaker 1: yourself and you still gotta tackle. So the best guy 1298 01:13:26,320 --> 01:13:28,479 Speaker 1: plays if it's a Walker Little, I don't care what 1299 01:13:28,600 --> 01:13:31,200 Speaker 1: Cam Robinson is making he's gonna be an expensive backup 1300 01:13:31,240 --> 01:13:35,160 Speaker 1: for a year. You paid him right, you didn't give 1301 01:13:35,200 --> 01:13:39,120 Speaker 1: a long term deal. But I would agree with Pete 1302 01:13:39,120 --> 01:13:40,920 Speaker 1: and listen, I'm rooting for Cam because I like Came 1303 01:13:40,960 --> 01:13:43,639 Speaker 1: a lot. But the white you have to be consistent. 1304 01:13:43,920 --> 01:13:46,599 Speaker 1: I mean, you can have all the potential in the world, 1305 01:13:46,640 --> 01:13:48,400 Speaker 1: you can have all the ability and be big, and 1306 01:13:48,439 --> 01:13:50,160 Speaker 1: you have to be athletic if you don't get it done, 1307 01:13:50,200 --> 01:13:53,880 Speaker 1: don't block people. Yeah, especially with let's standing in the backfield. 1308 01:13:54,040 --> 01:13:55,800 Speaker 1: I don't care who's in the backfield. Your jobs will 1309 01:13:55,840 --> 01:13:58,519 Speaker 1: protect the quarterback. Now. It might be in the spotlight 1310 01:13:58,640 --> 01:14:03,040 Speaker 1: more now, but it does it doesn't change. Nothing changes, 1311 01:14:03,360 --> 01:14:07,880 Speaker 1: doesn't matter if those two regressless. I mean Taylor really 1312 01:14:07,960 --> 01:14:12,240 Speaker 1: regret which But you know, George Warhoffs got a challenge 1313 01:14:12,280 --> 01:14:13,760 Speaker 1: this year. You didn't do it last Year's gotta get 1314 01:14:13,800 --> 01:14:16,720 Speaker 1: into play better. So I'm looking forward to watching them 1315 01:14:16,840 --> 01:14:21,840 Speaker 1: during the preseason games and see if because to me, 1316 01:14:21,960 --> 01:14:24,040 Speaker 1: it's all I mean, the offensive line so much is 1317 01:14:24,040 --> 01:14:27,280 Speaker 1: about technique, Like if you if you, if you have 1318 01:14:27,400 --> 01:14:29,640 Speaker 1: the right technique, you give yourself a chance to be 1319 01:14:29,680 --> 01:14:33,320 Speaker 1: in the right position and give you yourself a much 1320 01:14:33,360 --> 01:14:38,439 Speaker 1: better chance of winning or at least technical problem, Tony, 1321 01:14:39,080 --> 01:14:41,880 Speaker 1: you wants point out Pam Robinson's technical problem, but what 1322 01:14:41,960 --> 01:14:45,120 Speaker 1: do you want, Taylors. I mean, he's a very vertical, 1323 01:14:45,680 --> 01:14:48,559 Speaker 1: uh center, And if you're not, if you're vertical meaning 1324 01:14:48,640 --> 01:14:51,920 Speaker 1: going getting depth and really you know, kicking, then straight 1325 01:14:51,960 --> 01:14:53,680 Speaker 1: back on the line. And if you're gonna do that, 1326 01:14:53,720 --> 01:14:55,320 Speaker 1: you better play big and you better be physical at 1327 01:14:55,320 --> 01:15:00,479 Speaker 1: the point of attack to create the separation because you know, 1328 01:15:00,560 --> 01:15:02,719 Speaker 1: if you don't that that Russia, you're given that rusher 1329 01:15:02,760 --> 01:15:05,800 Speaker 1: a lot of room instead of creating some width with 1330 01:15:06,000 --> 01:15:10,320 Speaker 1: your kick. Now, both are viable techniques. I mean, guys 1331 01:15:10,400 --> 01:15:13,000 Speaker 1: do both. But if you're gonna be vertical like that, 1332 01:15:13,080 --> 01:15:19,080 Speaker 1: you better you better be stout because An and he 1333 01:15:19,240 --> 01:15:21,120 Speaker 1: just I mean, at times I don't think he plays 1334 01:15:21,120 --> 01:15:23,120 Speaker 1: as big and he's a powerful man. He's a big man. 1335 01:15:24,000 --> 01:15:26,120 Speaker 1: I personally would try to get I try to create 1336 01:15:26,200 --> 01:15:29,880 Speaker 1: more with um. I'm not a coach, and I'm not 1337 01:15:29,960 --> 01:15:33,080 Speaker 1: saying that that's not a viable technique to teach, if 1338 01:15:33,120 --> 01:15:36,519 Speaker 1: that's what jowans being taught. But I just think, you know, 1339 01:15:36,680 --> 01:15:39,240 Speaker 1: at times he just gets pushed back and gets too 1340 01:15:39,320 --> 01:15:42,240 Speaker 1: soft in the pocket. I don't know the offensive line 1341 01:15:42,320 --> 01:15:45,080 Speaker 1: mastermind told me that the Jaguars had two really good tackles. 1342 01:15:45,600 --> 01:15:48,320 Speaker 1: When you argue with me on Twitter, who's that? You know? 1343 01:15:48,720 --> 01:15:51,440 Speaker 1: You know that guy that has that offensive line mastermind 1344 01:15:51,840 --> 01:15:55,120 Speaker 1: group out there? They all go, they descend on Texas 1345 01:15:55,439 --> 01:15:59,439 Speaker 1: and they have a school for the offensive lineman. No, 1346 01:15:59,600 --> 01:16:02,560 Speaker 1: I don't know of that. Yeah, well he got on me. 1347 01:16:03,120 --> 01:16:05,240 Speaker 1: He got on me because I ranked certain guys and 1348 01:16:05,479 --> 01:16:07,760 Speaker 1: when I did my top one hundred and he said, 1349 01:16:07,800 --> 01:16:09,640 Speaker 1: I didn't know what I was doing. And then he 1350 01:16:09,720 --> 01:16:11,479 Speaker 1: came back and tried to say the Jaguars had two 1351 01:16:11,479 --> 01:16:13,840 Speaker 1: good tackles last year, and I went, you might want 1352 01:16:13,840 --> 01:16:16,080 Speaker 1: to clean your eyes out a little bit. Who is 1353 01:16:16,160 --> 01:16:20,760 Speaker 1: this guy? Uh is? Uh? Do many Weather is his name? 1354 01:16:21,520 --> 01:16:24,320 Speaker 1: He used to work for La Charles Bentley kind of 1355 01:16:24,360 --> 01:16:27,240 Speaker 1: spun off and stole his stick. And then he's got 1356 01:16:27,360 --> 01:16:30,400 Speaker 1: this whole school down in Texas. Every oven, almost all 1357 01:16:30,439 --> 01:16:32,840 Speaker 1: the offensive lineman a league go there, Tony. So you're 1358 01:16:32,880 --> 01:16:37,360 Speaker 1: discounting his his credibility, saying I'm not just, but my 1359 01:16:37,439 --> 01:16:39,880 Speaker 1: opinion is not just because he teaches, he thinks he's 1360 01:16:39,880 --> 01:16:42,040 Speaker 1: a score strength coach when he's an offensive line girl. 1361 01:16:42,320 --> 01:16:44,800 Speaker 1: First off end of argument. He said, Joe Thomas is 1362 01:16:44,840 --> 01:16:48,519 Speaker 1: better than Tony BASSELLI, the game is over. Okay, if 1363 01:16:48,560 --> 01:16:51,000 Speaker 1: you really believe Joe Thomas is better than Tony Basilli, 1364 01:16:51,360 --> 01:16:54,840 Speaker 1: you don't know what the hell you're talking about. Let's 1365 01:16:54,880 --> 01:17:00,840 Speaker 1: come back in a moment in this new season of 1366 01:17:00,880 --> 01:17:04,280 Speaker 1: Monday Jaguars Happy Hour. I love it. Let's start with Jaguar's pass game coordinator. 1442 01:21:39,600 --> 01:21:44,800 Speaker 1: Brian Schottenheimer asked earlier last week rather about the progress 1443 01:21:45,000 --> 01:21:51,280 Speaker 1: of quarterback Trevor Lawrence in this offense. He's doing really good. Um, 1444 01:21:51,920 --> 01:21:53,800 Speaker 1: the last day or two, it's been goods and there's 1445 01:21:53,840 --> 01:21:57,960 Speaker 1: been bad Uh. Quick with questions, Um, it's weird. You know, 1446 01:21:58,200 --> 01:22:00,479 Speaker 1: he's a guy. He's gonna tex it nine forty at night, 1447 01:22:00,800 --> 01:22:03,479 Speaker 1: ten o'clock at night with questions. Hey. On the script 1448 01:22:03,520 --> 01:22:05,040 Speaker 1: it says this is that this, Hey what are you 1449 01:22:05,120 --> 01:22:07,000 Speaker 1: thinking on that? So you know he's working at it 1450 01:22:07,040 --> 01:22:11,160 Speaker 1: all the time. Uh, And he's progressing nicely. You know, 1451 01:22:11,280 --> 01:22:13,000 Speaker 1: that's what you do with a young quarterback. You know 1452 01:22:13,040 --> 01:22:16,439 Speaker 1: there's gonna be interceptions. He's throwing those. That's gonna happen. 1453 01:22:17,000 --> 01:22:19,400 Speaker 1: Now if he keeps repeating those mistakes, and that's when 1454 01:22:19,439 --> 01:22:21,679 Speaker 1: you know that he's not listening he's not making the corrections, 1455 01:22:21,720 --> 01:22:24,479 Speaker 1: but he's not repeating those same mistakes. So that's when 1456 01:22:24,520 --> 01:22:28,000 Speaker 1: you get excited. Brian shut Brian Schottenheimer, there the passing 1457 01:22:28,040 --> 01:22:31,479 Speaker 1: game coordinator today is keeping it real topic. You're an 1458 01:22:31,479 --> 01:22:34,680 Speaker 1: advisor to head coach Urban Meyer. Guy, Okay? How long 1459 01:22:34,760 --> 01:22:36,599 Speaker 1: should Trevor how euse? Do we get paid to them? 1460 01:22:36,880 --> 01:22:42,000 Speaker 1: I don't know, but we're right. You're just another number 1461 01:22:42,880 --> 01:22:47,120 Speaker 1: in that side of the whole. Much less add to 1462 01:22:47,200 --> 01:22:50,480 Speaker 1: the list. How long should Trevor Lawrence play in preseason 1463 01:22:50,560 --> 01:22:54,160 Speaker 1: weeks one, two, and three? Tony, go ahead. I'd play 1464 01:22:54,200 --> 01:22:58,400 Speaker 1: him one quarter in preseason game one, all with the ones. 1465 01:22:58,920 --> 01:23:02,639 Speaker 1: Preseason game two, I'm playing him two quarters plus one 1466 01:23:02,760 --> 01:23:07,040 Speaker 1: series coming out of the half in preseason game number three. 1467 01:23:07,360 --> 01:23:13,040 Speaker 1: He is sitting on the bench next to me. Pete boy, 1468 01:23:13,080 --> 01:23:16,800 Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, um Remember, Tony, there's two weeks 1469 01:23:16,880 --> 01:23:19,360 Speaker 1: before the last from the last preseason game until the 1470 01:23:19,439 --> 01:23:23,320 Speaker 1: start of the regular season. It's different this year, and 1471 01:23:23,479 --> 01:23:26,560 Speaker 1: so do you want him not playing at all for 1472 01:23:26,720 --> 01:23:34,640 Speaker 1: three weeks? So I might go a quarter in the 1473 01:23:34,720 --> 01:23:38,840 Speaker 1: first game, quarter and a half in the second game, 1474 01:23:38,880 --> 01:23:41,200 Speaker 1: and maybe one series in the last game, just to 1475 01:23:41,240 --> 01:23:44,080 Speaker 1: get his feel for it again, Pete, I get what 1476 01:23:44,160 --> 01:23:45,560 Speaker 1: you're saying, but I don't want to play any of 1477 01:23:45,640 --> 01:23:48,360 Speaker 1: my offensive line in that third preseason game, and I'm 1478 01:23:48,400 --> 01:23:53,720 Speaker 1: not putting them behind backups, not one series even. I mean, 1479 01:23:53,800 --> 01:23:55,720 Speaker 1: you're I'm not just talking about the I'm not talking 1480 01:23:55,760 --> 01:23:58,040 Speaker 1: about just him. I'm talking about the team. That means 1481 01:23:58,040 --> 01:24:00,280 Speaker 1: you go three weeks without playing they way for the 1482 01:24:00,320 --> 01:24:08,080 Speaker 1: regular months last year. About playing before the first first game? Yeah, 1483 01:24:08,400 --> 01:24:11,640 Speaker 1: play games? You're still going to practice? Yeah, I don't know. 1484 01:24:12,280 --> 01:24:15,040 Speaker 1: I might. I might consider playing him one series if 1485 01:24:15,080 --> 01:24:17,080 Speaker 1: he played the starters, but if not, then I wouldn't 1486 01:24:17,080 --> 01:24:19,280 Speaker 1: play him. I'm with Tony, come let it come out 1487 01:24:19,320 --> 01:24:21,320 Speaker 1: of the half in the second game and then get 1488 01:24:21,400 --> 01:24:24,439 Speaker 1: him out of there. That's interesting, right, I mean because 1489 01:24:26,040 --> 01:24:27,920 Speaker 1: and you know, it's also the first time Urbans had 1490 01:24:27,960 --> 01:24:29,599 Speaker 1: to do this, right, he's got That's why he has 1491 01:24:29,640 --> 01:24:33,960 Speaker 1: the NFL staff around him to help him. However, he's 1492 01:24:34,000 --> 01:24:40,320 Speaker 1: been around forever. It's a different it's a different year though. 1493 01:24:40,439 --> 01:24:43,400 Speaker 1: There's it's a new thing. There's not four preseason games. 1494 01:24:43,720 --> 01:24:46,960 Speaker 1: Cuts are on Tuesday. Um, so you know, it's an 1495 01:24:47,120 --> 01:24:50,000 Speaker 1: entirely different thing this year. So how do you handle it? 1496 01:24:50,200 --> 01:24:51,880 Speaker 1: And by the way, they're back down to three different 1497 01:24:51,920 --> 01:24:55,080 Speaker 1: cuts this year. Also, they go down to five Tuesday 1498 01:24:55,200 --> 01:24:57,960 Speaker 1: after the first preseason game, and every Tuesday after that, 1499 01:24:58,040 --> 01:25:01,280 Speaker 1: it's like five week after that. But the last two, 1500 01:25:01,400 --> 01:25:03,760 Speaker 1: last one, you'd have a week and a half, so 1501 01:25:03,880 --> 01:25:05,840 Speaker 1: you could you're gonna cut your roster and you're gonna 1502 01:25:05,840 --> 01:25:07,400 Speaker 1: have a week and a half. You can get guys 1503 01:25:07,439 --> 01:25:10,360 Speaker 1: in and they can get acclimated quicker. Remember it used 1504 01:25:10,400 --> 01:25:12,400 Speaker 1: to happen, you'd have to get him acclimated right away 1505 01:25:12,479 --> 01:25:14,320 Speaker 1: because you're playing a game the next week. And the 1506 01:25:14,400 --> 01:25:16,840 Speaker 1: Jaguars Pete have the number one waiver claim for the 1507 01:25:16,920 --> 01:25:19,519 Speaker 1: first three weeks of the season, so they'll have first option. 1508 01:25:20,200 --> 01:25:22,320 Speaker 1: They don't want to have ever again with Drever Lard's 1509 01:25:22,400 --> 01:25:27,360 Speaker 1: here either, nor will they. So yeah, changes, So, Tony, 1510 01:25:27,600 --> 01:25:31,479 Speaker 1: does that change your mind at all about the last one? No, 1511 01:25:31,720 --> 01:25:35,280 Speaker 1: because I don't want to play my starters one series. 1512 01:25:36,200 --> 01:25:39,760 Speaker 1: What's the what's the benefit of one series? It's all downside. 1513 01:25:40,880 --> 01:25:44,040 Speaker 1: You're probably right. Another prep week, you know you're gonna play. 1514 01:25:45,040 --> 01:25:47,280 Speaker 1: Guess what? I prep them all week. They go out 1515 01:25:47,360 --> 01:25:50,080 Speaker 1: for pregame warm up, they get their sweat on, and 1516 01:25:50,160 --> 01:25:53,160 Speaker 1: guess what get out playing guys. I want to evaluate 1517 01:25:53,439 --> 01:25:55,000 Speaker 1: that are down the line and see what I got. 1518 01:25:55,640 --> 01:25:58,160 Speaker 1: But Tony, what about Okay, So why play so much 1519 01:25:58,200 --> 01:26:01,040 Speaker 1: in the second game? Because I my young quarterback to 1520 01:26:01,120 --> 01:26:05,639 Speaker 1: go through like the mechanics and the work and everything else. 1521 01:26:05,920 --> 01:26:07,960 Speaker 1: So you're gonna play, You're gonna play the starters. Yeah, 1522 01:26:07,960 --> 01:26:10,680 Speaker 1: I'm playing the starters. I'm playing. I'm playing. As much 1523 01:26:10,680 --> 01:26:12,880 Speaker 1: as I hated it as a player, I think there's 1524 01:26:12,880 --> 01:26:15,599 Speaker 1: a benefit playing a half, going in a halftime, coming 1525 01:26:15,640 --> 01:26:19,880 Speaker 1: out and getting a series. I don't know. I don't 1526 01:26:19,880 --> 01:26:21,560 Speaker 1: even know if you're not gonna do I don't know 1527 01:26:21,560 --> 01:26:23,320 Speaker 1: if I would even do that. I play in the 1528 01:26:23,400 --> 01:26:25,600 Speaker 1: quarter and get them out of there, and then I 1529 01:26:25,960 --> 01:26:29,320 Speaker 1: just think. I mean, he said, how hard does it 1530 01:26:29,320 --> 01:26:31,800 Speaker 1: get adjusted the halftime? Well, I'm just saying, it's just 1531 01:26:31,880 --> 01:26:34,640 Speaker 1: your body used to the mechanics. I'll say this, we 1532 01:26:34,760 --> 01:26:38,640 Speaker 1: go what go look at how much? Not last year? 1533 01:26:38,680 --> 01:26:41,400 Speaker 1: The year before, after the Chiefs went to the a 1534 01:26:41,520 --> 01:26:43,320 Speaker 1: f C Championship. I we went to the Super Bowl, 1535 01:26:43,439 --> 01:26:46,320 Speaker 1: no AFC championship game and loss of the Patriots. Go 1536 01:26:46,520 --> 01:26:52,080 Speaker 1: look how much that following preseason you saw they played 1537 01:26:52,760 --> 01:26:57,960 Speaker 1: They're starters in preparation for the season, because this is 1538 01:26:58,000 --> 01:27:01,120 Speaker 1: a super Bowl team that we're talking about a year ago. Yeah, 1539 01:27:01,520 --> 01:27:03,519 Speaker 1: I mean two years two years ago. The one of 1540 01:27:04,920 --> 01:27:07,080 Speaker 1: this team. This is a bunch of young kids. I 1541 01:27:07,200 --> 01:27:09,320 Speaker 1: know that, but they I'm saying, they know. My point 1542 01:27:09,400 --> 01:27:11,519 Speaker 1: is they played a bunch of football. Patrick Mahomes was 1543 01:27:11,560 --> 01:27:14,559 Speaker 1: playing the first preseason game, played the second preseason game. 1544 01:27:15,160 --> 01:27:16,920 Speaker 1: This is when they had four preseason games. Even play 1545 01:27:16,920 --> 01:27:19,719 Speaker 1: a little the third like, did you try to get reps? 1546 01:27:20,000 --> 01:27:22,760 Speaker 1: You gotta get practice? Okay, if you gotta get reps, 1547 01:27:22,760 --> 01:27:24,400 Speaker 1: and why not play a series in the lett and 1548 01:27:24,439 --> 01:27:30,080 Speaker 1: the third preseason game? Yes, okay. The only reason I'm 1549 01:27:30,120 --> 01:27:32,400 Speaker 1: saying not to because I know there's no chance they are. 1550 01:27:32,439 --> 01:27:37,400 Speaker 1: So I'm trying to be right. What would you do, coach, 1551 01:27:39,479 --> 01:27:44,320 Speaker 1: I go playing a quarter in the final preseason game? Wow, 1552 01:27:44,760 --> 01:27:47,720 Speaker 1: well you just change your mind then no. But I'm 1553 01:27:47,760 --> 01:27:50,840 Speaker 1: giving just giving both sides of the story. He's gonna 1554 01:27:50,880 --> 01:27:54,679 Speaker 1: send him five minutes ago, Freddie flipbop? What are you doing? 1555 01:27:55,439 --> 01:27:58,080 Speaker 1: What's that? I mean? I could be talked out of 1556 01:27:58,120 --> 01:28:03,160 Speaker 1: the third preseason you just flip loop. My point is 1557 01:28:03,439 --> 01:28:07,400 Speaker 1: to be talked out of it. Pete, I am steadfast 1558 01:28:07,520 --> 01:28:10,840 Speaker 1: on a quarter, two quarters in a series in the 1559 01:28:10,920 --> 01:28:13,960 Speaker 1: third and then I need to evaluate. How about this, 1560 01:28:14,120 --> 01:28:15,920 Speaker 1: I want to evaluate where my team is going to 1561 01:28:15,960 --> 01:28:17,799 Speaker 1: the third piece. Does it matter? I mean, it depends 1562 01:28:17,800 --> 01:28:19,400 Speaker 1: on how they play in the second game. And you 1563 01:28:19,400 --> 01:28:20,840 Speaker 1: don't play well, Okay, you need to go out and 1564 01:28:20,840 --> 01:28:24,240 Speaker 1: play game played great, then you're not playing. Yes, it matters. Okay, 1565 01:28:24,320 --> 01:28:27,559 Speaker 1: let's see how sharp they are said about you said reps, 1566 01:28:27,880 --> 01:28:29,679 Speaker 1: you want reps, You get more reps if you're playing 1567 01:28:29,680 --> 01:28:32,120 Speaker 1: the third piason. Well, if you stink you need more reps, yes, 1568 01:28:32,880 --> 01:28:34,920 Speaker 1: what if you play well, you just said you want more. 1569 01:28:35,240 --> 01:28:38,679 Speaker 1: You want reps. Period, that's what you said. You said 1570 01:28:38,800 --> 01:28:41,760 Speaker 1: as a coach, you would play them. There is a 1571 01:28:41,880 --> 01:28:45,160 Speaker 1: fine line when there becomes the reps verse the risk 1572 01:28:45,240 --> 01:28:49,479 Speaker 1: after me, wait and that's true. I agree, So I 1573 01:28:49,640 --> 01:28:54,360 Speaker 1: probably would play him your first, your first plan, plus 1574 01:28:54,520 --> 01:28:57,759 Speaker 1: my series in the last game. I play one series 1575 01:28:57,760 --> 01:29:01,519 Speaker 1: in the last games three. It depends on what they 1576 01:29:01,600 --> 01:29:04,439 Speaker 1: do in the second preseason game. That determines what I do. 1577 01:29:04,640 --> 01:29:08,479 Speaker 1: Much like Urban this past weekend, determined Sunday after when 1578 01:29:08,560 --> 01:29:11,720 Speaker 1: he saw happen Saturday because he saw the how his 1579 01:29:11,840 --> 01:29:15,000 Speaker 1: team practice a physical day were and they were nick 1580 01:29:15,120 --> 01:29:18,160 Speaker 1: so he made a informed decision not to put the 1581 01:29:18,200 --> 01:29:23,639 Speaker 1: pads on Sunday. I went with Urban, I evaluate my team. 1582 01:29:23,640 --> 01:29:26,360 Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it's best for my team. Pete, So 1583 01:29:26,560 --> 01:29:29,040 Speaker 1: three offensive linemen around the final preseason game. Of course, 1584 01:29:29,080 --> 01:29:33,760 Speaker 1: you don't play him if everybody's health. That's not true. 1585 01:29:33,800 --> 01:29:35,560 Speaker 1: If they come out and they're smoking it in the 1586 01:29:35,640 --> 01:29:37,880 Speaker 1: second preseason game and they're tight, we have a good 1587 01:29:37,920 --> 01:29:43,800 Speaker 1: week of practice. I'm saying, boys, hang out. Question if 1588 01:29:43,880 --> 01:29:46,360 Speaker 1: this was a normal preseason with like it used to be, 1589 01:29:46,479 --> 01:29:50,400 Speaker 1: with four preseason games, how would you play him? I'd go, um, 1590 01:29:50,880 --> 01:29:53,920 Speaker 1: one series. I mean to series the first preseason game, 1591 01:29:54,920 --> 01:29:58,479 Speaker 1: a quarter in a half, kind of like somewhere, a 1592 01:29:58,600 --> 01:30:02,760 Speaker 1: quarter in a little bit, second preseason game, full half 1593 01:30:04,080 --> 01:30:06,800 Speaker 1: series in the third preseason game. Nothing in the fourth 1594 01:30:06,840 --> 01:30:10,439 Speaker 1: preseason game. So so two weeks before the regular season started, 1595 01:30:12,240 --> 01:30:17,519 Speaker 1: you would play more than a half. Now you're two 1596 01:30:17,600 --> 01:30:19,720 Speaker 1: weeks out and you're only gonna you're not gonna play him. 1597 01:30:19,840 --> 01:30:22,560 Speaker 1: He fell right into that one. And I probably, and 1598 01:30:23,000 --> 01:30:24,800 Speaker 1: really what I probably, I might not play him at 1599 01:30:24,800 --> 01:30:26,840 Speaker 1: all in the first preseason game. I saw that one 1600 01:30:26,920 --> 01:30:30,240 Speaker 1: coming a mile and a half and half that game's 1601 01:30:30,240 --> 01:30:33,040 Speaker 1: in Jacksonville. No, I'm talking the old system, the four 1602 01:30:33,120 --> 01:30:35,680 Speaker 1: preseason games. But this guy, this time you have to 1603 01:30:35,760 --> 01:30:39,400 Speaker 1: play him. Yeah, you play him. I would think I'm 1604 01:30:39,439 --> 01:30:41,880 Speaker 1: playing him. Yeah, let's see if we could go to 1605 01:30:42,000 --> 01:30:46,880 Speaker 1: break JP and Tony will change his urban. The first 1680 01:35:15,120 --> 01:35:18,960 Speaker 1: Monday show of the one campaign. J P. Shadrick, Tony Vasselli, 1681 01:35:19,040 --> 01:35:23,519 Speaker 1: Pete Frisco, your social questions coming up in moments, Tony Vasselli, 1682 01:35:23,600 --> 01:35:25,640 Speaker 1: you have a comment. To be clear, there was no 1683 01:35:25,760 --> 01:35:31,200 Speaker 1: flip flopping, Pete. There was. I said from the beginning, 1684 01:35:32,080 --> 01:35:35,000 Speaker 1: two series or a quarter in the first preseason game, 1685 01:35:35,640 --> 01:35:38,320 Speaker 1: a half in one series in the second preseason game, 1686 01:35:38,680 --> 01:35:41,519 Speaker 1: nothing in the third preason's preseason game. I didn't did 1687 01:35:41,720 --> 01:35:45,800 Speaker 1: make an amendment of a possibility if the team did 1688 01:35:45,880 --> 01:35:51,280 Speaker 1: not play well and I needed more reps, that I'd 1689 01:35:51,320 --> 01:35:54,280 Speaker 1: be open to some time in the third preseason game. 1690 01:35:54,800 --> 01:35:58,280 Speaker 1: But you always have to weigh reps versus risk, and 1691 01:35:58,400 --> 01:36:01,880 Speaker 1: if you have a good camp, good first preseason game, 1692 01:36:02,040 --> 01:36:04,799 Speaker 1: good second preseason game, have a good week of practice, 1693 01:36:05,000 --> 01:36:08,320 Speaker 1: you do not need that third preseason game. I'm standing 1694 01:36:08,400 --> 01:36:11,080 Speaker 1: by that. That's my position and that's what I said. 1695 01:36:11,400 --> 01:36:14,400 Speaker 1: It got muddled up because Pete likes the twist words 1696 01:36:14,760 --> 01:36:17,879 Speaker 1: and take things out of context. He's a typical reporter 1697 01:36:18,400 --> 01:36:21,120 Speaker 1: that misquotes you and then prints it in the paper 1698 01:36:21,479 --> 01:36:26,120 Speaker 1: and says, this is a story. Typical Tony allowed two 1699 01:36:26,160 --> 01:36:28,639 Speaker 1: sacks today. But yeah, go ahead, you wanta you wanna 1700 01:36:29,120 --> 01:36:31,400 Speaker 1: take a side on that. Can you fixture your butt 1701 01:36:31,479 --> 01:36:32,840 Speaker 1: so they don't look like you're like, don't looks like 1702 01:36:32,880 --> 01:36:37,240 Speaker 1: you're an alien? Hey, JP, you want to take it? 1703 01:36:37,400 --> 01:36:40,479 Speaker 1: Take pick a side? Who is right? So we're keeping 1704 01:36:40,560 --> 01:36:42,840 Speaker 1: score on keeping it real? I think starting now, so 1705 01:36:42,920 --> 01:36:45,760 Speaker 1: I think pete one. No, he did not. He copied me, 1706 01:36:46,040 --> 01:36:49,360 Speaker 1: said Tony, did you Then when I came back and 1707 01:36:49,439 --> 01:36:51,600 Speaker 1: I asked you, how would you handle it if it 1708 01:36:51,680 --> 01:36:56,120 Speaker 1: was a regular pondoth ways, I'm getting all kinds of 1709 01:36:56,160 --> 01:37:02,360 Speaker 1: tweets and saying Tony was clearly um clearer and considren't 1710 01:37:05,280 --> 01:37:10,439 Speaker 1: tell your family to make you look good. Concise is concise? 1711 01:37:10,600 --> 01:37:13,280 Speaker 1: Is not in Tony's dictionary. That doesn't work. That's not 1712 01:37:13,360 --> 01:37:16,680 Speaker 1: how it works. For when I won the argument in 1713 01:37:16,840 --> 01:37:18,599 Speaker 1: large part because when I came back and asked him 1714 01:37:18,600 --> 01:37:19,920 Speaker 1: how he would play it if it was a four 1715 01:37:20,600 --> 01:37:22,559 Speaker 1: week preseason like the old days, he said he would 1716 01:37:22,560 --> 01:37:25,600 Speaker 1: have played him in the third week, and that was it. 1717 01:37:25,760 --> 01:37:29,000 Speaker 1: The case was closed. There bang the gabble. It's over. 1718 01:37:29,320 --> 01:37:34,200 Speaker 1: Case dismissed. Pete win me the case of Robert Mundabi. 1719 01:37:34,320 --> 01:37:41,000 Speaker 1: And that's for a case on the winner. Losers get 1720 01:37:41,040 --> 01:37:43,600 Speaker 1: a bottle, winners get a game. I love it. It 1721 01:37:43,880 --> 01:37:47,479 Speaker 1: pays to win, man. I mean, so all year you'll 1722 01:37:47,479 --> 01:37:49,160 Speaker 1: get you get a bottle. By the end of the year, 1723 01:37:49,200 --> 01:37:53,360 Speaker 1: you'll have a case. Let's get to social media questions. 1724 01:37:53,439 --> 01:37:56,519 Speaker 1: We put out the bat signal earlier today and here's 1725 01:37:56,520 --> 01:37:59,320 Speaker 1: the best we've come up with today at Sue Winners. 1726 01:38:00,439 --> 01:38:03,040 Speaker 1: Guys were happy year back. I'm misstating how much of 1727 01:38:03,080 --> 01:38:05,800 Speaker 1: a difference of sports performance model Myers brought into the 1728 01:38:05,840 --> 01:38:07,720 Speaker 1: team has made. As I would have thought, by now, 1729 01:38:07,960 --> 01:38:10,519 Speaker 1: most if not all clubs will be doing similar things 1730 01:38:10,680 --> 01:38:13,920 Speaker 1: in this area. Pete. They've added so many facilities here 1731 01:38:13,920 --> 01:38:18,000 Speaker 1: in the off season, cryo tank, hot cold tubs, all 1732 01:38:18,080 --> 01:38:21,960 Speaker 1: these things that they didn't have before. And Urban has 1733 01:38:22,000 --> 01:38:24,600 Speaker 1: made an emphasis. It's not the only place in the 1734 01:38:24,680 --> 01:38:27,920 Speaker 1: league that does this, though, is it. No. I was 1735 01:38:28,000 --> 01:38:30,080 Speaker 1: at my anti practice facility the other day. You should 1736 01:38:30,080 --> 01:38:32,680 Speaker 1: see the thing. It's incredible. They just built it. It's 1737 01:38:32,720 --> 01:38:35,160 Speaker 1: right outside the stadium. It's phenomenal and that and that's 1738 01:38:35,200 --> 01:38:37,600 Speaker 1: the next step for Jacksonville. He kudos to Urban for 1739 01:38:37,680 --> 01:38:39,880 Speaker 1: bringing all that stuff in there. You have to have it. 1740 01:38:40,120 --> 01:38:42,280 Speaker 1: They just don't have the room for it. They need 1741 01:38:42,320 --> 01:38:44,560 Speaker 1: a facility, and I think it's gonna get done. It 1742 01:38:44,640 --> 01:38:49,160 Speaker 1: needs to get done. I will be real melancholy when 1743 01:38:49,160 --> 01:38:51,759 Speaker 1: they do build the practice facility, in large part because 1744 01:38:52,560 --> 01:38:54,720 Speaker 1: that means the days of the reporters sitting on the 1745 01:38:54,800 --> 01:38:57,439 Speaker 1: bench outside wait for guys to come out to get 1746 01:38:57,479 --> 01:39:03,160 Speaker 1: the real story will be over. So the interesting thing 1747 01:39:03,240 --> 01:39:07,679 Speaker 1: about the comment about the sports performance, I agree with Pete. 1748 01:39:07,720 --> 01:39:10,120 Speaker 1: I love it. As a player, do everything you can 1749 01:39:10,320 --> 01:39:12,640 Speaker 1: I mean as it's I mean for the players as 1750 01:39:12,680 --> 01:39:14,679 Speaker 1: a staff, do everything you can to make sure they're 1751 01:39:14,720 --> 01:39:17,040 Speaker 1: ready to perform at the highest level, and it gives 1752 01:39:17,160 --> 01:39:20,200 Speaker 1: them more value for themselves as well. I think it's great. 1753 01:39:20,280 --> 01:39:24,240 Speaker 1: I love it. I would love and I mean paid 1754 01:39:24,320 --> 01:39:26,280 Speaker 1: the close enough attention. It would be interesting to do 1755 01:39:27,000 --> 01:39:30,800 Speaker 1: at the end of this camp does and it's such 1756 01:39:30,800 --> 01:39:32,439 Speaker 1: a small sample size, you perhaps to do it over 1757 01:39:32,600 --> 01:39:36,120 Speaker 1: years by having these extra facilities and these extra treatments 1758 01:39:36,120 --> 01:39:41,679 Speaker 1: and you know, cryoh and massage and hot cold, warm, whatever, tubs, 1759 01:39:41,720 --> 01:39:44,160 Speaker 1: I mean all the different stuff, which again all four 1760 01:39:44,280 --> 01:39:46,320 Speaker 1: I love it. As a player, I would have been 1761 01:39:47,000 --> 01:39:50,280 Speaker 1: all about it is. I wonder what the difference is. 1762 01:39:51,439 --> 01:39:55,280 Speaker 1: Is there a direct correlation to less injuries, especially soft 1763 01:39:55,320 --> 01:39:57,640 Speaker 1: tissue injuries? I think that. I mean, you can't the 1764 01:39:57,720 --> 01:39:59,519 Speaker 1: guy blowing his knee out getting rolled up in a 1765 01:39:59,560 --> 01:40:03,479 Speaker 1: pile and that's I mean, there's no bearing but soft 1766 01:40:03,520 --> 01:40:07,040 Speaker 1: tissue injuries. I wonder if there's a direct correlation that 1767 01:40:07,120 --> 01:40:10,479 Speaker 1: you can measure, it would be interesting. It would be 1768 01:40:10,479 --> 01:40:12,320 Speaker 1: interesting to measure that over a long period of time. 1769 01:40:12,479 --> 01:40:14,040 Speaker 1: I mean one year you're not gonna do it, but like, 1770 01:40:14,160 --> 01:40:16,759 Speaker 1: over a five year period, did you lessen the number 1771 01:40:16,760 --> 01:40:19,559 Speaker 1: of soft tissue in injuries? Yet have come a long 1772 01:40:19,640 --> 01:40:22,360 Speaker 1: way from sprinkling creaton on the French Fries and the 1773 01:40:22,439 --> 01:40:27,240 Speaker 1: Gaffetheria Like it's amazing though how a few people miss 1774 01:40:27,280 --> 01:40:29,840 Speaker 1: stuff back then, Pete, only because everyone's afraid the death 1775 01:40:29,880 --> 01:40:33,160 Speaker 1: to go to the training room. You remember, do you 1776 01:40:33,200 --> 01:40:36,040 Speaker 1: remember remember when used to being ocean, used to joke there, 1777 01:40:37,040 --> 01:40:43,000 Speaker 1: remember everywhere? But you know what I mean, it's just 1778 01:40:43,200 --> 01:40:46,480 Speaker 1: it's a different mentality. I mean, it's incredible the facilities 1779 01:40:46,520 --> 01:40:49,920 Speaker 1: nowadays and a player. I would have loved it because 1780 01:40:49,920 --> 01:40:52,320 Speaker 1: you don't pay for it anymore on your you know 1781 01:40:52,400 --> 01:40:54,080 Speaker 1: what Brian Flores told me the other day, goes. It 1782 01:40:54,200 --> 01:40:57,600 Speaker 1: keeps the guys around longer. That's when it builds camaraderie. 1783 01:40:57,680 --> 01:41:00,400 Speaker 1: You don't you don't get out of there quickly in 1784 01:41:00,479 --> 01:41:03,639 Speaker 1: the off season, even because there's so much right there. 1785 01:41:03,800 --> 01:41:05,680 Speaker 1: If you've got all that stuff right there, you don't 1786 01:41:05,720 --> 01:41:07,519 Speaker 1: need to go get a massage somewhere else. You don't 1787 01:41:07,560 --> 01:41:10,080 Speaker 1: need to go get crying therapy somewhere else. The food 1788 01:41:10,200 --> 01:41:12,160 Speaker 1: is good. I mean it just it just makes sense 1789 01:41:12,240 --> 01:41:14,519 Speaker 1: for teams to do that. I love it, and I'm 1790 01:41:14,600 --> 01:41:16,639 Speaker 1: just jealous. Who wasn't around when I was a player. 1791 01:41:17,520 --> 01:41:19,680 Speaker 1: Let's move along to our next question from at Jay 1792 01:41:19,760 --> 01:41:22,840 Speaker 1: Hopkins b G S. Has Cama, Robinson or a Walker 1793 01:41:22,960 --> 01:41:28,320 Speaker 1: Little reached out to Tony um One. That's a private conversation. 1794 01:41:28,840 --> 01:41:32,560 Speaker 1: I like to you sound like a player now. I 1795 01:41:32,680 --> 01:41:36,439 Speaker 1: have had um conversations with Cam over the years, and 1796 01:41:36,920 --> 01:41:40,639 Speaker 1: I traded text messages with Walker after you got drafted. 1797 01:41:41,120 --> 01:41:45,040 Speaker 1: And I'll leave it at that. And we're not ready 1798 01:41:45,080 --> 01:41:48,479 Speaker 1: to call anybody baby BASSELLI Yeah, just like over the years, 1799 01:41:48,520 --> 01:41:52,400 Speaker 1: every guy that's ever been called that. It's almost like 1800 01:41:52,439 --> 01:41:56,200 Speaker 1: a curse. Baby, I'll say the same thing. And I know, Pete, 1801 01:41:56,240 --> 01:41:59,800 Speaker 1: you never you always like say oh stop number one, 1802 01:42:00,080 --> 01:42:03,559 Speaker 1: don't care it's done. Like let them be their own players, 1803 01:42:03,600 --> 01:42:06,000 Speaker 1: like like Camera Robinson, let me go be the left tackle, 1804 01:42:06,080 --> 01:42:08,680 Speaker 1: and I hope, I hope he exceeds what I did, 1805 01:42:08,840 --> 01:42:10,280 Speaker 1: and I hope he's a better player than I was, 1806 01:42:10,360 --> 01:42:12,960 Speaker 1: because that means it's good for our franchise. And if 1807 01:42:13,000 --> 01:42:15,600 Speaker 1: it's not Camera Robinson, I hope it's Walker Little and 1808 01:42:15,680 --> 01:42:17,960 Speaker 1: I hope John Taylor playing right tackles better than I 1809 01:42:18,120 --> 01:42:20,360 Speaker 1: was and better than Leon Sarci was. I mean, that's 1810 01:42:20,400 --> 01:42:24,840 Speaker 1: what you want for the franchise. I'd be leaning to 1811 01:42:24,960 --> 01:42:28,439 Speaker 1: know on them. But Pete, you know what I mean 1812 01:42:28,479 --> 01:42:30,920 Speaker 1: as an ex player, if you left the franchise, it's 1813 01:42:30,920 --> 01:42:34,160 Speaker 1: not like about like, oh, you don't want anyone Like no, Yes, 1814 01:42:34,320 --> 01:42:36,040 Speaker 1: I want him to be better. I want to have 1815 01:42:36,160 --> 01:42:38,040 Speaker 1: great careers. I want to make a ton of money, 1816 01:42:38,080 --> 01:42:40,200 Speaker 1: and I want us to win a super Bowl. Mike 1817 01:42:40,280 --> 01:42:43,960 Speaker 1: Pearson was baby BASSELLI never worked out. Luke Joko, Baby 1818 01:42:44,000 --> 01:42:47,280 Speaker 1: BASSELLI never worked out. Maybe they stopped calling them that. Yeah, 1819 01:42:47,320 --> 01:42:50,280 Speaker 1: I would I never liked I never liked the moniker anyways, 1820 01:42:50,600 --> 01:42:53,760 Speaker 1: that and what they've had four or five padded practices 1821 01:42:54,360 --> 01:42:57,840 Speaker 1: in camp already. It's so early played a preseason game. Yeah, 1822 01:42:58,400 --> 01:43:00,400 Speaker 1: Loggs and I were talking about that, Pete, like, the 1823 01:43:00,600 --> 01:43:05,240 Speaker 1: total amount of padded practices they'll have in quote unquote 1824 01:43:05,320 --> 01:43:09,479 Speaker 1: camp we would have had in the first week of camp. 1825 01:43:10,360 --> 01:43:13,760 Speaker 1: Think about that. It's incredible. I was telling one of 1826 01:43:13,760 --> 01:43:16,599 Speaker 1: the telled Shack Barrett, he was all sweaty after practice 1827 01:43:16,600 --> 01:43:18,360 Speaker 1: and I go, he goes, it's hot out here, and 1828 01:43:18,400 --> 01:43:22,360 Speaker 1: I go, no idea, dude. Ray Perkins used to have 1829 01:43:22,520 --> 01:43:28,880 Speaker 1: three practices a day, three no padded. We never had 1830 01:43:28,880 --> 01:43:31,040 Speaker 1: three days. I remember we'd have two practice and the 1831 01:43:31,120 --> 01:43:33,479 Speaker 1: walk through and the two practice were in the heat 1832 01:43:33,520 --> 01:43:36,639 Speaker 1: of the day and they were both padded and you're 1833 01:43:36,640 --> 01:43:39,160 Speaker 1: going full speed and just beating the hell out of me. Now, 1834 01:43:39,360 --> 01:43:41,760 Speaker 1: And by the way, this isn't the old guy said, Oh, 1835 01:43:41,920 --> 01:43:45,040 Speaker 1: we were tougher. Should have been Like my idea is, 1836 01:43:45,120 --> 01:43:47,360 Speaker 1: like I like what they do now, Like it would 1837 01:43:47,360 --> 01:43:50,400 Speaker 1: have been better you guys would go to one than 1838 01:43:50,479 --> 01:43:52,720 Speaker 1: two again, right, it was never two, two and two. No, 1839 01:43:52,800 --> 01:43:54,360 Speaker 1: it was so the first year it was two too 1840 01:43:54,439 --> 01:43:57,400 Speaker 1: too too, too, too too two two. In the second 1841 01:43:57,479 --> 01:43:59,599 Speaker 1: year it was two too too, too, too too two. 1842 01:44:00,120 --> 01:44:02,240 Speaker 1: The third year, when we thought we got the break, 1843 01:44:02,360 --> 01:44:08,840 Speaker 1: it was two one to one. Right, that's right Steven's point. 1844 01:44:08,880 --> 01:44:11,000 Speaker 1: It was too too, too, too too for sure. And 1845 01:44:11,080 --> 01:44:13,519 Speaker 1: I thought the second year he evolved a little bit. 1846 01:44:13,600 --> 01:44:15,760 Speaker 1: Well maybe the second year was too to one, to 1847 01:44:16,000 --> 01:44:18,720 Speaker 1: to one, and then it was to one to one. 1848 01:44:19,880 --> 01:44:22,640 Speaker 1: But they were they were all in pad. Everything was 1849 01:44:22,680 --> 01:44:26,120 Speaker 1: in pads. You know what's gone middle drill is gone 1850 01:44:27,320 --> 01:44:30,720 Speaker 1: nine seven then and where they pound it really hard 1851 01:44:31,200 --> 01:44:35,519 Speaker 1: that the other day first day, and a lot of 1852 01:44:35,600 --> 01:44:37,400 Speaker 1: teams are how about like when you used to start 1853 01:44:37,479 --> 01:44:40,240 Speaker 1: practice with goal on Remember that goal was always they 1854 01:44:40,240 --> 01:44:43,519 Speaker 1: always had like after week one or something, goal line 1855 01:44:43,640 --> 01:44:46,840 Speaker 1: was live. It was a live drill. And that's even 1856 01:44:46,920 --> 01:44:49,519 Speaker 1: up to last last year, the last couple of years. 1857 01:44:49,640 --> 01:44:52,800 Speaker 1: But you always have to is anybody tackling? They don't 1858 01:44:52,840 --> 01:44:58,120 Speaker 1: tackle there, right, No, I some places do though, yeah, 1859 01:44:58,479 --> 01:45:01,400 Speaker 1: not many though. Yeah. Let's get a couple more questions, 1860 01:45:01,479 --> 01:45:03,320 Speaker 1: and and let's go to the question number four, Brent 1861 01:45:03,600 --> 01:45:07,000 Speaker 1: and at duval Noll. If we keep six wide receivers, 1862 01:45:07,040 --> 01:45:08,960 Speaker 1: who do we keep? Seems like it would be difficult 1863 01:45:09,000 --> 01:45:11,439 Speaker 1: to cut Treadwell at this point. Well, let's do a 1864 01:45:11,560 --> 01:45:14,439 Speaker 1: quick count and I got the list right here. Good 1865 01:45:14,520 --> 01:45:17,519 Speaker 1: for you. Um let's go. We got well, you know 1866 01:45:18,080 --> 01:45:21,920 Speaker 1: the visiness's not on the team. Marvin Jones on the team. 1867 01:45:22,800 --> 01:45:24,840 Speaker 1: J J. Chark on the team. Yes, even though he 1868 01:45:24,880 --> 01:45:35,599 Speaker 1: had surgery. Yes, but Retyer said okay, three. Um, then 1869 01:45:35,680 --> 01:45:40,559 Speaker 1: you start getting Dorset man. I already had a gun bunch, right. 1870 01:45:40,640 --> 01:45:43,040 Speaker 1: Colin Johnson, Colin Johnson, I'd say he's on the team. 1871 01:45:44,479 --> 01:45:46,960 Speaker 1: I think I think Jalen Camp is on the team 1872 01:45:47,080 --> 01:45:49,400 Speaker 1: because he's a big, physical guy who can play special teams. 1873 01:45:49,400 --> 01:45:52,000 Speaker 1: I think that's fine. But that's got to play special team. 1874 01:45:53,160 --> 01:45:55,880 Speaker 1: Agnew on the team. He's a kick returning special team 1875 01:45:56,000 --> 01:45:59,240 Speaker 1: doesn't really count as a receiver. Though, that's six. You 1876 01:45:59,320 --> 01:46:06,000 Speaker 1: need one more Sea tread Well seven. Who am I cutting? 1877 01:46:06,800 --> 01:46:10,360 Speaker 1: There's like receivers, but with which guy of any note 1878 01:46:10,479 --> 01:46:14,240 Speaker 1: is being caught? Dorsett Philip Dorset and Tavon Austin. They're 1879 01:46:14,240 --> 01:46:19,160 Speaker 1: both first round picks. Yeah, but they're older. And maybe 1880 01:46:19,560 --> 01:46:21,560 Speaker 1: now here's the thing. If you keep tread Well and 1881 01:46:21,680 --> 01:46:25,880 Speaker 1: you keep Camp jail and Camp, do you get rid 1882 01:46:25,920 --> 01:46:29,040 Speaker 1: of Collin Johnson because he doesn't run. And Urban Meyer 1883 01:46:29,120 --> 01:46:32,160 Speaker 1: like speed team and those other guys are big and fast. 1884 01:46:32,280 --> 01:46:36,080 Speaker 1: Colin Johnson is just big and not a speed speed guy. 1885 01:46:37,400 --> 01:46:40,559 Speaker 1: There are six receivers probably on somebody else's roster right now. 1886 01:46:41,320 --> 01:46:44,200 Speaker 1: That could be another thing. Yeah, first waiver claim all 1887 01:46:44,280 --> 01:46:50,080 Speaker 1: that well, JP had him trading for Michael Thomas, which 1888 01:46:50,160 --> 01:46:54,000 Speaker 1: Pete immediately shut down, saying bad idea. First off, you 1889 01:46:54,280 --> 01:46:57,639 Speaker 1: do like speed, he doesn't run, No, he does not, big, 1890 01:46:57,800 --> 01:47:01,360 Speaker 1: big guy. Let's get our final question in at Dan 1891 01:47:01,479 --> 01:47:03,720 Speaker 1: eight three eight one. Who got in better shape during 1892 01:47:03,760 --> 01:47:07,479 Speaker 1: the break? Crisco or Bisselly. My money's on the cell 1893 01:47:07,600 --> 01:47:11,599 Speaker 1: because I'm terrible. Yeah, I'm not much the first. However, 1894 01:47:12,439 --> 01:47:14,600 Speaker 1: I would actually, I would actually see you. It's a 1895 01:47:14,680 --> 01:47:19,720 Speaker 1: tie for last. Yeah, it's not. I'm a Pete. I'm 1896 01:47:19,720 --> 01:47:21,800 Speaker 1: not in a good position because it's it's fat ball 1897 01:47:21,880 --> 01:47:24,679 Speaker 1: season and I'm already fat. Yeah, but you know what, though, 1898 01:47:25,080 --> 01:47:28,040 Speaker 1: I had a lazy summer and I've worked out and stuff. 1899 01:47:28,040 --> 01:47:30,400 Speaker 1: But I ate bad, you know, but I'm trying to 1900 01:47:30,479 --> 01:47:32,639 Speaker 1: be better leading into the season. Give me a month. 1901 01:47:33,080 --> 01:47:34,720 Speaker 1: I got a call on us to be coming up 1902 01:47:34,760 --> 01:47:37,320 Speaker 1: at the end of the month. Too much information, t 1903 01:47:37,479 --> 01:47:39,800 Speaker 1: M I, t M, I do not need to hear 1904 01:47:40,200 --> 01:47:47,160 Speaker 1: about your medical issues or procedures. A few of the 1905 01:47:47,520 --> 01:47:51,400 Speaker 1: five extra pounds underneath. That's great, Pete, this is a 1906 01:47:51,479 --> 01:47:59,519 Speaker 1: family show. Yeah great, let's come back. Thanks for the questions, 1907 01:47:59,600 --> 01:48:03,479 Speaker 1: every one. We'll get to him again next week. What has want? Well? This time here because 1975 01:51:51,320 --> 01:51:54,200 Speaker 1: Pete loves doing it. He loves cutting down the roster, 1976 01:51:54,400 --> 01:51:57,240 Speaker 1: he loves cutting people. We got about eight minutes if 1977 01:51:57,280 --> 01:51:58,840 Speaker 1: you want to do it, No, I hate it, like 1978 01:51:58,960 --> 01:52:02,639 Speaker 1: even going through the wider's Sievers because like like Philip 1979 01:52:02,680 --> 01:52:04,320 Speaker 1: door Set might be the guy that may. I mean, 1980 01:52:04,360 --> 01:52:06,519 Speaker 1: we're sitting here like making guesses. It's not like we're 1981 01:52:06,520 --> 01:52:09,800 Speaker 1: watching enough tape to really determine who's having the better camp, 1982 01:52:09,840 --> 01:52:14,280 Speaker 1: whether it's Philip door Said or you know, Colin Johnson 1983 01:52:15,080 --> 01:52:17,679 Speaker 1: or what they're looking for, because a lot of times 1984 01:52:17,960 --> 01:52:20,760 Speaker 1: I think they're I think they're they're six receivers not 1985 01:52:20,840 --> 01:52:23,200 Speaker 1: on the roster, you know, but but you don't know. 1986 01:52:23,479 --> 01:52:25,240 Speaker 1: And I mean I throughout Jalen camp out there, I'm 1987 01:52:25,280 --> 01:52:27,679 Speaker 1: just assuming that they you know, he's a good specialties player. 1988 01:52:29,320 --> 01:52:32,439 Speaker 1: He looks I haven't watched one special team period. It 1989 01:52:32,479 --> 01:52:37,120 Speaker 1: also shows there's a significant drop from three down. Well, 1990 01:52:37,120 --> 01:52:40,040 Speaker 1: I think I think the message to the fans is 1991 01:52:40,360 --> 01:52:42,720 Speaker 1: and this is, you know, because you know, who knows. 1992 01:52:42,840 --> 01:52:46,080 Speaker 1: Maybe uh Josh Hammond, who had a bunch of catches, 1993 01:52:47,400 --> 01:52:50,360 Speaker 1: maybe he you know, shows up and does something. I mean, 1994 01:52:50,400 --> 01:52:52,439 Speaker 1: who knows. I think the message more than anything. The 1995 01:52:52,520 --> 01:52:54,840 Speaker 1: three guys that we know, I would I say, I 1996 01:52:54,920 --> 01:52:58,000 Speaker 1: don't know, I would be really confident are on the 1997 01:52:58,160 --> 01:53:04,160 Speaker 1: roster or dj HRC, Marvin Jones and Levis Chanel. And 1998 01:53:04,240 --> 01:53:07,040 Speaker 1: that's that's it. There's a drop down after that, and 1999 01:53:07,040 --> 01:53:12,839 Speaker 1: then I think after that it's wide open. Yeah, that's Travis. 2000 01:53:12,960 --> 01:53:16,040 Speaker 1: Travis E. T N plays wide receiver too. He lines 2001 01:53:16,120 --> 01:53:18,800 Speaker 1: up out there something. He's still running back, I know, 2002 01:53:19,040 --> 01:53:21,200 Speaker 1: but he plays out but it's like he's been making 2003 01:53:21,240 --> 01:53:23,040 Speaker 1: some catches the last couple of days. By the way, 2004 01:53:23,880 --> 01:53:26,000 Speaker 1: it's like running back. It's easy. The top three, I 2005 01:53:26,040 --> 01:53:28,519 Speaker 1: can tell you. I mean, unless something drastic happens or 2006 01:53:28,560 --> 01:53:31,800 Speaker 1: something gets surt, it's Travis E. T N. It's Carlos Hyde, 2007 01:53:31,800 --> 01:53:36,920 Speaker 1: it's James Robinson. Pretty easy tight end, pretty easy. I 2008 01:53:37,000 --> 01:53:40,760 Speaker 1: don't know if Titans is easy. Number one? How many 2009 01:53:40,960 --> 01:53:43,280 Speaker 1: you're keeping four? Because one of them will be the fullback. 2010 01:53:45,960 --> 01:53:51,280 Speaker 1: So if you're keeping four, you're keeping Ohaughnessy and then 2011 01:53:51,320 --> 01:53:55,120 Speaker 1: who else you keep the rookie Luke Farrell? Yes, and 2012 01:53:55,200 --> 01:54:01,720 Speaker 1: then you'd probably keep Elson and then you you got 2013 01:54:01,840 --> 01:54:05,479 Speaker 1: then it becomes Tyler Davis or Tebow in the practice squad, 2014 01:54:07,960 --> 01:54:11,040 Speaker 1: which I think it'll be Tyler Davis. I think Tebow 2015 01:54:11,120 --> 01:54:12,760 Speaker 1: is the six tight end on the at A six. 2016 01:54:16,920 --> 01:54:20,160 Speaker 1: Yeah you disagree, um do? I disagree from what I've 2017 01:54:20,200 --> 01:54:25,600 Speaker 1: seen though, Okay, so you know, but I mean, but 2018 01:54:25,720 --> 01:54:27,720 Speaker 1: it's still earlier. I mean, there's so much stuff that 2019 01:54:27,760 --> 01:54:32,640 Speaker 1: can happen between now, especially talking about right now the 2020 01:54:32,760 --> 01:54:34,680 Speaker 1: Jaguars tight end some of the other ones. You know, 2021 01:54:34,960 --> 01:54:38,000 Speaker 1: it's like obvious the Jaguars tight end situation outside of 2022 01:54:38,040 --> 01:54:41,960 Speaker 1: O'Shaughnessy and uh Mannards is wide open. It will be 2023 01:54:42,080 --> 01:54:45,200 Speaker 1: decided during the preseason. Kind of seemed like the same 2024 01:54:45,320 --> 01:54:48,760 Speaker 1: kind of guy to me, is going to be on 2025 01:54:48,840 --> 01:54:52,080 Speaker 1: the te like you like you talk about Tebow, he's 2026 01:54:52,080 --> 01:54:55,000 Speaker 1: being the six guy. Okay, maybe now what if he 2027 01:54:55,040 --> 01:54:57,440 Speaker 1: goes out in games and just like dominates the one 2028 01:54:57,480 --> 01:55:01,040 Speaker 1: thing that you know, he flashes it times good stuff. 2029 01:55:01,560 --> 01:55:04,080 Speaker 1: Then there's other things, like you watch his blocking ability. 2030 01:55:04,400 --> 01:55:06,880 Speaker 1: He needs to work on his physicality, especially if he's 2031 01:55:06,880 --> 01:55:09,840 Speaker 1: gonna be that fullback. Hasn't been great and what I've 2032 01:55:09,840 --> 01:55:12,000 Speaker 1: seen haven't seen it all. So maybe he's flashing at 2033 01:55:12,160 --> 01:55:15,920 Speaker 1: times being really physical. He's not a very physical player 2034 01:55:15,960 --> 01:55:18,200 Speaker 1: at the point of attack. The day I saw him, 2035 01:55:18,400 --> 01:55:20,400 Speaker 1: they pulled him on a play and he ducked his 2036 01:55:20,480 --> 01:55:22,680 Speaker 1: head and the defensive end went right around them. And 2037 01:55:22,760 --> 01:55:25,240 Speaker 1: so if you want to be that move tight end 2038 01:55:25,320 --> 01:55:27,960 Speaker 1: fullback lead up on there in linebackers, you gotta be 2039 01:55:28,000 --> 01:55:32,360 Speaker 1: a physical dude, and Jeff Logman said it best. Being 2040 01:55:32,480 --> 01:55:37,280 Speaker 1: physical and tough as a quarterback is different than being 2041 01:55:37,480 --> 01:55:40,840 Speaker 1: physical and tough as a position player, like a tight 2042 01:55:41,000 --> 01:55:42,960 Speaker 1: end or full back. Okay, so what number is he 2043 01:55:43,000 --> 01:55:45,080 Speaker 1: as a tight end position? Right now? In your mind? 2044 01:55:47,200 --> 01:55:52,880 Speaker 1: Haven't we just gone through this? Well? He I mean, 2045 01:55:53,240 --> 01:56:02,120 Speaker 1: can you really distinguish between Tebow, Elveson and Davis? Is 2046 01:56:02,160 --> 01:56:05,200 Speaker 1: it that is that big a deal? Is David? I 2047 01:56:05,200 --> 01:56:07,520 Speaker 1: think it's between Davis and Tebow and the practice squad, 2048 01:56:07,680 --> 01:56:09,600 Speaker 1: That's what I mean. It's right now, and then they 2049 01:56:09,680 --> 01:56:11,800 Speaker 1: got three weeks to go, so I think it's early. 2050 01:56:11,920 --> 01:56:14,200 Speaker 1: Like that's still close, Pete, is my point is number one? 2051 01:56:14,240 --> 01:56:17,040 Speaker 1: You know, I hate this more than anything. That's what 2052 01:56:17,200 --> 01:56:21,880 Speaker 1: we're doing. Number Two, it is early, and like those 2053 01:56:21,880 --> 01:56:26,040 Speaker 1: are really competitive positions. Let's touch on some notes from 2054 01:56:26,080 --> 01:56:30,000 Speaker 1: around the National Football League. Pete, your guy in Buffalo 2055 01:56:30,920 --> 01:56:35,920 Speaker 1: got paid quarterback Josh Allen's bringing on the Bacon. Hey, Look, 2056 01:56:36,000 --> 01:56:37,880 Speaker 1: they finally have their quarterback that they've been looking for 2057 01:56:38,040 --> 01:56:41,200 Speaker 1: from Jim Colt since Jim Kelly's all kinds of guy. 2058 01:56:42,320 --> 01:56:47,280 Speaker 1: Pat Patrick Mahomes signed one year too early. No, I 2059 01:56:47,360 --> 01:56:51,640 Speaker 1: meant tear that up again, burden the hand. I guess 2060 01:56:51,680 --> 01:56:54,120 Speaker 1: here's my point. Did Patrick Mahomes signed too long of 2061 01:56:54,200 --> 01:56:57,920 Speaker 1: a deal? Probably? Yes, Like why wouldn't he just settled, 2062 01:56:58,160 --> 01:57:00,960 Speaker 1: I'll sign a four year deal? Right? He did sign 2063 01:57:01,000 --> 01:57:02,680 Speaker 1: too long a deal. I don't think there's any doubt 2064 01:57:02,680 --> 01:57:04,520 Speaker 1: about that. But how do you turn that money down 2065 01:57:04,560 --> 01:57:08,880 Speaker 1: when they put in front of it? Depends how much 2066 01:57:08,920 --> 01:57:12,440 Speaker 1: of that back in guaranteed though. Yeah, he got a 2067 01:57:12,440 --> 01:57:15,480 Speaker 1: lot of guaranteed money. Alan got more, you know, also 2068 01:57:15,560 --> 01:57:17,360 Speaker 1: got a lot of money. It was Shawn Watson and 2069 01:57:17,400 --> 01:57:21,280 Speaker 1: John McClain of the Houston Chronicle Today said, quote on Twitter, 2070 01:57:21,440 --> 01:57:24,360 Speaker 1: Watson will never play another down for the Texans. End quote. 2071 01:57:24,400 --> 01:57:26,840 Speaker 1: So where's he playing? Who's going to trade for him 2072 01:57:26,960 --> 01:57:29,320 Speaker 1: right now? No? But it's it's too big a risk. 2073 01:57:29,440 --> 01:57:33,160 Speaker 1: I mean you can't. I mean there's crimical there's there's 2074 01:57:33,200 --> 01:57:37,000 Speaker 1: a criminal investigation. If I understanding the late reports going on, 2075 01:57:37,600 --> 01:57:40,880 Speaker 1: there's twenty two women who have civil charges against him. 2076 01:57:41,120 --> 01:57:43,440 Speaker 1: I'm not saying he's guilty. I'm just saying that's a 2077 01:57:43,520 --> 01:57:46,000 Speaker 1: lot of drama going on. And if I'm a GM, 2078 01:57:46,400 --> 01:57:49,960 Speaker 1: I'm not trading first round draft picks plus getting up 2079 01:57:50,280 --> 01:57:53,920 Speaker 1: salary for a guy that might not play for a while, 2080 01:57:54,600 --> 01:57:57,040 Speaker 1: and it's hard to It's hard to in this climate 2081 01:57:57,120 --> 01:57:58,840 Speaker 1: and everything, it's hard to you sell that to your 2082 01:57:58,880 --> 01:58:03,200 Speaker 1: fan base. You can't. Giants running back c Kwon Barkley 2083 01:58:03,240 --> 01:58:06,240 Speaker 1: will return from the pup list today. That was the plan. 2084 01:58:06,400 --> 01:58:10,040 Speaker 1: They certainly missed him a year ago. How much better 2085 01:58:11,920 --> 01:58:15,080 Speaker 1: and how much better does does he make them? Pete? Well, 2086 01:58:15,760 --> 01:58:17,880 Speaker 1: he makes them better, but he's a running back. You 2087 01:58:17,920 --> 01:58:21,120 Speaker 1: know how I feel about that? Um again, though he 2088 01:58:21,240 --> 01:58:23,360 Speaker 1: might not play week one, just an f y I 2089 01:58:23,920 --> 01:58:28,680 Speaker 1: because yes, not all the way back and Pete, but 2090 01:58:28,760 --> 01:58:31,720 Speaker 1: when didn't he get hurt early in the season. Yeah, 2091 01:58:32,600 --> 01:58:37,720 Speaker 1: that's that's the opposite of Adrian Peterson. Correct our final 2092 01:58:37,800 --> 01:58:40,440 Speaker 1: thought Hall of Fame induction speeches. In the ensfrinment ceremony 2093 01:58:40,520 --> 01:58:43,240 Speaker 1: the last couple of days, Peyton Mannings was challenging everyone 2094 01:58:43,320 --> 01:58:46,480 Speaker 1: to make the game better. Tony, at what point in 2095 01:58:46,560 --> 01:58:49,600 Speaker 1: your speech will you include Pete Prisco?
