None of that would have 0:34:41.600 --> 0:34:43.880 happened if she hadn't gotten pregnant. He was threatening to expose her. 0:37:39.239 --> 0:37:42.120 He was saying that if she didn't continue having sex 0:37:42.160 --> 0:37:45.080 with him and doing his laundry, he would publicize the 0:37:45.080 --> 0:37:47.840 fact that she had an abortion in that case, he 0:37:47.960 --> 0:37:50.680 later withdrew his claim. This was brought by a so 0:37:50.880 --> 0:37:55.360 called Christian right lawyer, Jonathan Mitchell, who's the father of 0:37:55.400 --> 0:37:56.440 many lawsuits. 0:37:56.640 --> 0:38:01.080 Yeah, that guy sucks. In case you're wondering that guy socks. A woman 0:40:12.000 --> 0:40:15.240 had a premature birth and she was asking for medical 0:40:15.280 --> 0:40:17.879 care and they would not transfer to the hospital. When 0:40:17.880 --> 0:40:21.359 she finally, belatedly was transferred to a hospital, she had 0:40:21.360 --> 0:40:25.160 a still birth. Who can say that incarcerating women are 0:40:25.200 --> 0:40:27.880 making them afraid to seek prenatal care because they're worried 0:40:28.000 --> 0:40:31.240 that the hospital or the doctor's office will call the cops. 0:40:31.640 --> 0:40:32.760 Can be good for babies. 0:40:32.800 --> 0:40:36.040 If it were good for babies, we wouldn't have outcomes 0:40:36.080 --> 0:40:39.680 like a woman having a totally preventable still birth.
