Instead, Isaac told his men 0:10:59.720 --> 0:11:03.960 to stop digging and let them have it. Another disappointment. 0:11:04.720 --> 0:11:10.040 Verse twenty says Isaac named those wells argument. He knew 0:11:10.120 --> 0:11:12.680 if he'd have stayed, it would start a big fight. 0:11:13.480 --> 0:11:16.680 Even if he won, it would be an ongoing battle 0:11:16.760 --> 0:11:20.640 with strife and conflict. And yes, sometimes you need to 0:11:20.679 --> 0:11:23.679 stay and fight the good fight, take what belongs to you. 0:11:24.640 --> 0:11:28.240 But there are times, like with Isaac, you need to 0:11:28.360 --> 0:11:32.000 walk away and let God make it up to you. 0:11:32.000 --> 0:11:34.600 You could win, but it's going to do so much 0:11:34.679 --> 0:11:38.600 damage and cause so much ongoing trouble. He moved to a different place and dug 0:11:45.120 --> 0:11:49.080 some new wells. Same thing happened. The local people came 0:11:49.160 --> 0:11:53.920 up and opposed him. Isaac named those wells opposition. He 0:11:53.960 --> 0:11:57.079 could have thought, God, I'm done. I've been faithful. I 0:11:57.120 --> 0:11:59.839 got kicked out of my own land. I redugged the 0:12:00.040 --> 0:12:02.320 wells of my father's that didn't work out. Is never 0:12:02.360 --> 0:12:05.600 going to happen. No, Isaac had a made up mind. 0:12:06.200 --> 0:12:09.319 He knew on the other side of the adversity was 0:12:09.360 --> 0:12:13.000 a new level. The scripture says Isaac 0:12:21.360 --> 0:12:26.079 named these wells room enough. One translation says it was 0:12:26.160 --> 0:12:32.120 a wide open, abundant place. Notice the principle, if you'll 0:12:32.160 --> 0:12:35.960 pass these tests and go through the well of argument, 0:12:36.640 --> 0:12:39.960 through the well of opposition.
