So a two percentage point gain. Not spectacular, 0:14:50.640 --> 0:14:53.360 but it's at least going in the right direction. Meanwhile, Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, uh, 0:15:55.800 --> 0:15:58.400 he did not come out in favor of any kind 0:15:58.400 --> 0:16:02.680 of federal legislation to protect the Preborn, uh, during this campaign. 0:16:02.720 --> 0:16:05.080 He also didn't really make any kind of a strong 0:16:05.080 --> 0:16:09.520 case for existing pro-life laws. So I've always thought that 0:16:09.520 --> 0:16:12.320 the pro-life movement is always helped by Republican candidate who 0:16:12.320 --> 0:16:15.720 at least makes a good pro-life argument on stage. Uh, 0:16:15.720 --> 0:16:19.520 that didn't happen with Donald Trump and the debates that we, uh, 0:16:19.520 --> 0:16:23.200 we had, uh, that's why the public opinion moving in 0:16:23.200 --> 0:16:25.800 good direction. So I just think it's kind of a 0:16:25.800 --> 0:16:28.640 regression to the mean. Uh, I think in the aftermath 0:16:28.640 --> 0:16:32.440 of Dobbs, uh, there was a gain in, quote unquote, 0:16:32.480 --> 0:16:36.840 pro-abortion sentiment. Uh, you know, the media coverage, uh, was 0:16:36.840 --> 0:16:40.490 not fair. That's a 0:19:10.340 --> 0:19:13.940 pretty big jump in two years. Secondly, percentage of young 0:19:13.940 --> 0:19:16.940 people who thought abortion should be a legal option in 0:19:16.940 --> 0:19:21.739 all circumstances fell by 14 points. So a number of 0:19:21.740 --> 0:19:24.739 questions show that in a two year time span, you know, 0:19:24.780 --> 0:19:27.820 young people are a lot more likely to identify as pro-life. 0:19:27.859 --> 0:19:29.899 They're less likely to think abortion should be a legal 0:19:29.900 --> 0:19:33.100 option in all circumstances. Uh, there's a big body of evidence to 0:20:45.510 --> 0:20:48.790 show that when you look at, you know, demographics of 0:20:48.830 --> 0:20:53.350 church attendees among almost every age demographic, uh, women are 0:20:53.350 --> 0:20:55.870 more likely to attend than men. But among young people, 0:20:55.869 --> 0:20:58.550 young men are attending church in a lot higher numbers. 0:20:58.550 --> 0:21:01.350 So I think that's actually driving. I think you do 0:21:01.430 --> 0:21:05.430 see greater pro-life sentiment among young men, especially this poll 0:21:05.430 --> 0:21:07.550 didn't really go into that. Uh, but we do see 0:21:07.550 --> 0:21:10.310 in Great Britain, uh, they did a poll recently and 0:21:10.310 --> 0:21:13.950 British men aged 16 to 34 were actually the demographic 0:21:14.150 --> 0:21:17.790 most opposed to legal abortion. So I do think you 0:21:17.790 --> 0:21:20.750 have something interesting happening among men who are more churchgoing, 0:21:20.790 --> 0:21:24.230 more conservative, pushing back against the culture. I think that's 0:21:24.230 --> 0:21:26.109 playing a role. I do think what you said is 0:21:26.109 --> 0:21:28.790 also correct, that, you know, women do see their peers 0:21:28.790 --> 0:21:32.310 and friends obtaining abortion and the right. It's not a 0:21:32.310 --> 0:21:34.790 cure all. It doesn't. You know, there may be some 0:21:34.790 --> 0:21:39.350 short term relief, but there is, you know, consequences. There 0:21:39.350 --> 0:21:41.630 are after effects. And I do think, you know, women 0:21:41.630 --> 0:21:43.590 are aware of that.
