He took 0:01:23.600 --> 0:01:27.240 things from the Greek and elevated them and gave them 0:01:27.240 --> 0:01:31.679 a spiritual significance in many of the cases. Why 0:03:00.440 --> 0:03:03.910 does he reveal his name in redemption in chapter two? Well, 0:03:03.910 --> 0:03:08.190 you all know it well, don't you? Yes. Because salvation 0:03:08.190 --> 0:03:11.470 was not an afterthought with God. It was a forethought 0:03:11.470 --> 0:03:14.710 with God. Whenever you have your 0:05:54.029 --> 0:05:58.750 back against the wall, remember Christ's back was to the cross. 0:06:02.589 --> 0:06:06.390 So the Bible tells us that we have this plan 0:06:06.390 --> 0:06:08.350 that God has given to us. Here it is, here 0:06:08.350 --> 0:06:12.110 it is, here it is. Notice, thirdly, in the richness 0:06:12.110 --> 0:06:17.070 of our redemption, notice the personalization of redemption. We find 0:06:17.070 --> 0:06:20.430 it in verse 18, verse 20. See verse 21. Uh, 0:06:20.430 --> 0:06:24.710 what does it tell us? Uh, that it's not automatic, uh, 0:06:24.710 --> 0:06:29.510 that we have to receive Jesus Christ as our personal 0:06:29.510 --> 0:06:34.350 Lord and Savior. Well, pastor, aren't we all God's children? 0:06:34.350 --> 0:06:42.790 I heard we're all God's children. No. No. Now we're 0:06:42.790 --> 0:06:48.150 all God's creation. Yes. Okay, what if I said to 0:06:48.150 --> 0:06:51.630 you I made this pulpit? Now, don't think about the fact, 0:06:51.630 --> 0:06:55.110 you know, I don't have the skills.
