So now this is where 0:06:07.460 --> 0:06:09.940 it gets kind of difficult because this is radio. So 0:06:09.940 --> 0:06:12.260 we have to paint on the canvas of our listener's mind. 0:06:12.300 --> 0:06:14.700 I'd love to draw a line and sort of go 0:06:14.700 --> 0:06:17.940 through the timeline of eschatology. Just the big picture first, and then 0:06:20.620 --> 0:06:22.980 we can zoom down into the Millennial Kingdom? 0:06:23.300 --> 0:06:26.380 Absolutely, absolutely. Well, you got it right. The next event, 0:06:26.380 --> 0:06:28.900 I believe, just as you do, is that Jesus Christ 0:06:28.900 --> 0:06:33.100 is going to come and rapture catch up. First Thessalonians 417, 0:06:33.260 --> 0:06:36.020 his church up to heaven before he pours his wrath 0:06:36.020 --> 0:06:39.860 out on this world in 21 judgments called the tribulation. 0:06:39.860 --> 0:06:43.340 It's a seven year time period according to the prophet Daniel, 0:06:43.339 --> 0:06:45.380 where God is going to bring judgment upon the world, 0:06:45.380 --> 0:06:48.339 but millions of people will will bend a knee and 0:06:48.339 --> 0:06:52.260 bow and proclaim Christ's Savior. He will return with his saints. 0:06:52.260 --> 0:06:54.540 At the end of those seven years, he will defeat 0:06:54.540 --> 0:06:57.609 Satan and his global empire that he will set up, 0:06:57.610 --> 0:07:01.409 and then Jesus Christ will establish his kingdom first phase 0:07:01.410 --> 0:07:04.170 for a thousand years, and then on into eternity. 0:07:04.730 --> 0:07:07.050 And the thousand years is the Millennial Kingdom. 0:07:07.410 --> 0:07:11.250 Absolutely. There are six times in revelation 20 that gives 0:07:11.250 --> 0:07:14.770 us the amount of time, thousand years, thousand years, thousand years. 0:07:14.770 --> 0:07:17.490 But there are so many other verses in the Bible 0:07:17.490 --> 0:07:20.090 that talk about Christ's coming kingdom now. 0:07:20.130 --> 0:07:23.050 And Nathan, thank you for giving me permission to ask 0:07:23.170 --> 0:07:26.650 some questions again. Might be pretty rudimentary, but I think 0:07:26.810 --> 0:07:28.290 I have a pretty good sense of my friends who 0:07:28.290 --> 0:07:30.290 are listening that they might have the same kind of questions. 0:07:30.290 --> 0:07:32.570 So if the Bible says that a day is like 0:07:32.570 --> 0:07:35.250 a thousand to the Lord, do we take a thousand 0:07:35.250 --> 0:07:38.930 years as a literal 1000 years, or is it symbolic 0:07:38.930 --> 0:07:39.930 of something else? 0:07:40.450 --> 0:07:43.930 Well, we go by the golden rule of interpretation when 0:07:43.930 --> 0:07:47.330 it comes to interpreting the Bible. If the plain sense makes. 0:07:47.330 --> 0:07:47.730 Sense. 0:07:47.970 --> 0:07:51.610 Look for no other sense, lest you end up with nonsense. 0:07:51.610 --> 0:07:54.280 And so we don't interpret the Bible allegorically or Clear 0:07:54.280 --> 0:07:57.840 symbolically when the Bible says a day is like or likened, 0:07:57.880 --> 0:08:00.680 as is a comparator, it's making a comparison. But when 0:08:00.680 --> 0:08:05.040 you read in revelation 20, it is definitely a thousand years, 0:08:05.080 --> 0:08:08.080 a thousand years over. Not like or as it's given 0:08:08.080 --> 0:08:09.840 exactly 1000 years. 0:08:09.880 --> 0:08:12.440 Okay. So good. I'm just basics now. I bet the 0:08:12.440 --> 0:08:13.880 music's going to play in a minute, but let me 0:08:13.920 --> 0:08:15.560 sort of dig into this part of this. So as 0:08:15.560 --> 0:08:18.120 you ran through that beautifully and gave us the flyover, 0:08:18.320 --> 0:08:20.760 you talk about the fact that after the tribulation, this 0:08:20.760 --> 0:08:23.640 is when Satan is going to be defeated. So where 0:08:23.640 --> 0:08:26.920 is he at that end before the Millennial Kingdom begins? Exactly. 0:08:26.920 --> 0:08:30.080 Where is Satan destroyed or is he warehoused at this point. 0:08:30.760 --> 0:08:33.760 Warehoused in the bottomless pit for a thousand years? 0:08:33.880 --> 0:08:35.880 Okay, let me pick it up. At that point, I 0:08:35.880 --> 0:08:37.880 don't know about you, but this kind of conversation gets 0:08:37.880 --> 0:08:40.600 me excited because the headlines will change every single day. 0:08:40.800 --> 0:08:43.000 This is the good news. That's never going to change, 0:08:43.000 --> 0:08:45.520 and we need to look forward to Jesus's return with 0:08:45.520 --> 0:08:49.360 joyous anticipation. If the devil is taken out, 0:11:07.170 --> 0:11:09.370 what does that mean for the other challenges? So there's 0:11:09.370 --> 0:11:10.970 a boatload of questions there. Let me go back to 0:11:10.970 --> 0:11:14.170 the first one first. So he's warehouse. So what is 0:11:14.170 --> 0:11:15.770 he doing when he's warehoused? 0:11:16.290 --> 0:11:18.650 Well, let's back up just a bit and go back 0:11:18.650 --> 0:11:21.170 all the way to the beginning of time. Remember that 0:11:21.170 --> 0:11:24.130 Satan was the guardian cherub over God's throne, and he 0:11:24.130 --> 0:11:27.450 was the worship leader of the all the angelic realm. 0:11:27.450 --> 0:11:29.810 But he started coveting what God had, and through pride 0:11:29.809 --> 0:11:31.370 he led a third of the angels to try to 0:11:31.410 --> 0:11:34.170 overthrow God. And God cast him out. And not being 0:11:34.170 --> 0:11:36.570 able to rule the universe, he was content with trying 0:11:36.570 --> 0:11:39.890 to rule this earth and have mankind worship him. So 0:11:39.890 --> 0:11:42.809 all for the last 6000 years, Satan has been working 0:11:42.850 --> 0:11:46.130 towards getting mankind to worship him. Once the church is 0:11:46.130 --> 0:11:49.010 raptured out, he will rise up a one world ruler 0:11:49.010 --> 0:11:52.040 called the Antichrist who will have a global government and 0:11:52.040 --> 0:11:55.560 Satan will rule through this Antichrist. Halfway through the tribulation, 0:11:55.559 --> 0:11:58.000 he will then force people to worship him and Satan 0:11:58.000 --> 0:12:01.400 for just a brief time will finally get what he wants. 0:12:01.440 --> 0:12:04.240 All the craziness in the world going on today is 0:12:04.240 --> 0:12:07.400 working towards that moment. But when Jesus Christ returns in 0:12:07.400 --> 0:12:10.160 all his glory with us, the saints following him, we 0:12:10.160 --> 0:12:13.599 will see Jesus just speak in the enemy, armies will collapse, 0:12:13.760 --> 0:12:16.679 the Antichrist and false prophet will be thrown in the 0:12:16.679 --> 0:12:18.719 lake of fire and Satan in a pit. And for 0:12:18.720 --> 0:12:22.359 a thousand years Satan will be trapped in that bottomless pit, 0:12:22.360 --> 0:12:24.960 falling forever and ever and ever. And while the Bible 0:12:24.960 --> 0:12:27.000 doesn't say what happens to the demons, it gives a 0:12:27.040 --> 0:12:28.840 hint that they have already been sent to the lake 0:12:28.840 --> 0:12:31.920 of fire. So going into the Kingdom of Christ, there 0:12:31.920 --> 0:12:34.400 will not be any satanic influence. There won't be any 0:12:34.400 --> 0:12:37.719 satanic armies behind the governments like we have today. 0:12:37.880 --> 0:12:42.240 Wow, Nathan, you know how interesting and intersectional this conversation is. 0:12:42.240 --> 0:12:44.080 So let me go back to what you just said before. 0:12:44.080 --> 0:12:46.800 So Satan's in a pit. The demons are in the 0:12:46.800 --> 0:12:49.840 lake of fire for mortals. We would interpret that lake, 0:12:49.880 --> 0:12:53.790 lake of fire as ultimate ultimate annihilation that they would 0:12:53.790 --> 0:12:57.950 be totally eradicated. Um, if that's the case. So. Hell, if all of those demons 0:13:17.150 --> 0:13:19.829 are destroyed, then is hell going to have one occupant 0:13:19.870 --> 0:13:22.830 other than the people who are who choose to go there? 0:13:23.470 --> 0:13:25.630 No one. And whether we live in the worst place 0:31:15.210 --> 0:31:18.250 in the world, or a utopia which is what this 0:31:18.250 --> 0:31:21.530 Paradise will be like, the heart still wants to rebel 0:31:21.530 --> 0:31:23.970 against God. It still wants the lusts of the flesh. 0:31:24.170 --> 0:31:27.530 And so we read at the end of the Millennial Kingdom, 0:31:27.570 --> 0:31:30.610 Satan will be released. Now, one of the characteristics of the Millennial 0:31:53.320 --> 0:31:55.400 Kingdom is that there's no war.
