I mean, it's more common in the 0:47:30.280 --> 0:47:33.000 you know, I've had a death penalty cases where I 0:47:33.040 --> 0:47:35.359 remember one of my first death penalty cases, the guy 0:47:35.400 --> 0:47:38.400 stabbed the guy twenty three times, and we argue to 0:47:38.440 --> 0:47:40.520 the jury that, you know, he should face the death 0:47:40.520 --> 0:47:43.440 penalty because it was a burglary and a murder, and 0:47:43.520 --> 0:47:46.960 the jury came back and found life. And the reason 0:47:47.200 --> 0:47:49.600 was is, you know, the guy had a bad childhood, 0:47:49.640 --> 0:47:52.480 he had some mental health issues, he was depressed, he 0:47:52.560 --> 0:47:56.480 was anxious, and they felt that was enough to you know, 0:47:56.640 --> 0:48:00.480 take off the death penalty and just do life in prison. 0:48:00.760 --> 0:48:03.400 And I think because it has to be a unanimous decision. 0:48:03.480 --> 0:48:06.319 So what happens is there's twelve jurors and ten are 0:48:06.360 --> 0:48:10.160 saying death and two are saying no this.
