So we're going to run 0:01:22.640 --> 0:01:27.520 that back with a second run, a runoff, and it's 0:01:27.560 --> 0:01:30.120 going to be a really interesting race because Cornyn has 0:01:30.160 --> 0:01:34.559 been a okay senator but clearly not a pure MAGA guy. 0:01:34.760 --> 0:01:37.720 And from my vantage point, I'm someone who has been 0:01:37.760 --> 0:01:40.000 a big fan and work closely with Ken Paxon on 0:01:40.000 --> 0:01:42.640 a number of things. But Ken Paxton has his fair 0:01:42.680 --> 0:01:44.360 share of scandals, and this is one of the things 0:01:44.400 --> 0:01:47.000 that's noteworthy with Paxton is that he'll be a lot 0:01:47.040 --> 0:01:49.720 easier to demonize in a general election than a John 0:01:49.760 --> 0:01:51.840 Cornyn because he said all sorts of things where he 0:01:51.880 --> 0:01:55.680 was impeached and he had marital improprieties and all this 0:01:55.720 --> 0:01:58.560 sort of stuff that is ancillary to the fact that 0:01:58.680 --> 0:02:01.680 as an attorney general in the state of Texas and 0:02:01.960 --> 0:02:05.880 other roles he's held, he's been very effective.
