Well they say that the cost 0:04:44.560 --> 0:04:48.160 of living crisis is driving Australians to the nation's charities, 0:04:48.440 --> 0:04:51.760 so it's forced up to eighty percent of people to 0:04:51.839 --> 0:04:53.600 cut the amount of money that they are giving the 0:04:53.680 --> 0:04:57.279 welfare organizations. So put, simply, more people than ever before 0:04:57.279 --> 0:05:01.159 are needing help from a charity, but the amount of 0:05:01.160 --> 0:05:04.480 people who can give money to charity is going down fast. 0:05:05.920 --> 0:05:07.880 As part of a broad survey which was carried out 0:05:07.920 --> 0:05:10.880 about attitudes towards charity done by the University of Queensland, 0:05:10.960 --> 0:05:15.000 seventy eight percent of people say they've reduced their donations 0:05:15.080 --> 0:05:18.480 because of the cost of living crisis. However, they got knocked back.
